Imam Hussain Foretells the Martyrdoms
On the night of the 10th of Muharram, Imam Hussain (AS) informed his companions of the names of those destined to be martyred the following morning, including Abkhazia, Akbar, and Mohammad. Qasim inquired whether his name was among them. Imam Hussain (RA) responded by questioning Qasim's perception of death. Qasim replied that if death meant sacrificing himself for Hussain, it would be sweeter than honey. Imam Hussain then confirmed that Qasim's name, along with Ali Asghar's, was among those who would be martyred.
Qasim Seeks Permission to Fight
Qasim seeks permission from his mother, Farwa, to go to the battlefield. Farwa, remembering Imam Hasan's will, instructs Qasim to wear a warning sign. The amulet contained Imam Hasan's will, which instructed Hussain to allow Qasim to sacrifice himself. Imam Hussain, upon reading the will, grants Qasim permission to fight.
Qasim's Bravery on the Battlefield
Qasim enters the battlefield, proclaiming himself the grandson of Ali. He challenges Yazid's army, and a brave man named Adrak sends his sons to fight Qasim. Qasim defeats them all. Adrak himself confronts Qasim, and they engage in a fierce battle.
Qasim's Martyrdom and Hussain's Grief
Despite his bravery, Qasim is overwhelmed by the army's attack. Imam Hussain rushes to the field to help him. Hussain finds Qasim's body in pieces. He gathers the remains. Hussain expresses his grief and prepares to return to Medina, where he will convey to Hasan that Qasim has fulfilled his will.
