0:01 foreign [Music] and welcome to the Divine will family website I'm here with Francis Hogan and Francis Hogan thank you very much for being on here tell us uh how did would they know that they're ready to start the Journey of living in the Divine will thank you for asking that question Robert because um if I was coming to the website for the first time and seeing the material that is there that is the question I would ask myself how would I know I'm actually ready for this and since I don't have a person to speak to is there any kind of direction that can be given to me so I want to
0:49 give you a number of points that will actually help you and may help you to go and and seek spiritual direction for example or to speak to find healing or whatever or go to a good Confessor the first thing to find out if you're ready to begin the Journey of designer because don't forget now this is not just ordinary Holiness that this is the advanced Holiness so there are stuff that we would presume that you've been there and done that before you would come here although we're not expecting you to be a finished product if you were a finished product the Lord would pick you up and take you to heaven well none of us are finished products um so the first thing is you have to be
1:35 completely sure that your will is not committed to any sin mortal venial accidental otherwise sin is completely o u t sin and the Divine will are completely incompatible now it's an ordinary Spirit Duality that you take itself on and that you try and deal with your predominant faults and you try and deal with whatever difficulties you have now I'm not speaking about the ordinary flutterman deaths in my everyday life I'm not speaking about that I'm talking about a problem where your will is committed to sin okay um and we the first thing I want to
2:23 share and if you listen to any of the recordings that I've given you'll hear me say this over and over again Hebrews 12 14 nothing Unholy or unworthy can enter the presence of God in order for the Divine will to live fully and completely in our blessed mother she had to be redeemed at the first instant of her existence because nothing Unholy or unworthy can enter the presence of God so all of us coming into the Divine will and during our journey in the Divine will receive an enormous amount of purification okay nothing Unholy or unworthy can enter the presence of God listen to this this is uh the first letter of Saint John chapter 3 from verse 2.
3:09 dear friends uh we are now the children of God and what we will be we don't really fully know all we know is that when he appears we will be like him in other words we will be other Jesus it's other jesuses who actually get into heaven uh we will be like him when we see him as he really is everyone who has this hope in um in him purifies himself because he is pure and we have to be pure now pure means unmixed with the World the Flesh and the devil in a sinful sense okay sometimes we only think of the word
3:56 pure in terms of sexual Purity but if I have a glass of water and the water is fine but there's an impurity in it that impurity could cause me illness if you're listening to beautiful music uh and a couple of the notes are not right or the thing goes off it's terrible it's impure impure music is awful and you have a beautiful picture and one small part of it is out of sync that's the impure thing okay now the big impurity in US self-will it's what I want as distinct from what God wants so we have to have a lot of purification to
4:42 get that self-will to surrender and to actually choose God's Will and so John continues everyone who sins breaks the law in fact sin is lawlessness that means totally against God's will uh but you know that Jesus appeared in order to take away sin and in him there is no sin and since we're entering into Union with him at a very high level there can be no sin no one who lives in him keeps on sinning okay so anyone entering into the Divine will has got to be completely committed to getting sin out of their lives
5:28 even if you're living ordinary spirituality mortal sin can't be in your life deliberate convenience sin absolutely breaks our relationship with God okay and so that's that's number one so if you're struggling with addictions for example or with a recurring sin but I would recommend to you is that before you would join us in the Divine World Journey before you would do that that you would go away and get spiritual Direction psychological help if you need it and addiction help or whatever help but try and get free of this thing so that you are free to take the journey
6:14 okay now the third point I would make is that living in the Divine will is for committed Catholics not Catholic Catholic with their own agenda okay so uh if if you're going to join this journey with us you'd have to be committed to God totally will in Scripture it's what God says not what we say so we don't just go along with um they things that Society wants at this particular moment we would have to be committed to the true magisterium of the church and the teaching of the church therefore we have to be obedient to the pope and
6:59 the leaders of the church we have to be committed to moral life according to the teaching of the church and the teaching of scripture not according to the way what the world says is right or wrong because what the world permits and what God permits to entirely different things we have to be people who feed ourselves on the Holy Eucharist as frequently as possible we have to have adoration prayer and the sacraments all as our food in other words your your somebody coming to God who has already been through your secondary schools and you want to enter the University in other words you passed your tests to actually enter the University
7:44 um and of course it would be really a benefit if you had a personal relationship with Jesus as distinct from just having a religion having a religion is quite a disadvantage having a relationship with God is the essence of religion okay um and so having a personal uh relationship with Jesus and our blessed mother is actually very important so you can see from what I've already said uh that living in the Divine will and also I say living that is on a daily hourly minutely basis not just when you're saying nice prayers
8:29 it's not a beginner's spirituality it's for people advanced in the way of the Lord it's for those who want to glorify God with their lives that they want everything in their lives to be all for the glory of God and to let God glorify himself through us and with us and everything is for the furtherance of his kingdom on the Earth there's nothing to do with us it's all about him all about him but it's always a butt you know she's a very nice girl but okay there's always a butt don't come to the conclusion that all of us who are in the Divine uh World Mission have already arrived
9:16 as I said already if we had already arrived if we had achieved everything God would us like it arose from his garden and he towed his Rose off in heaven so none of us are finished products so I want to share this with you from Philippians chapter 3 from verse 12 where Paul is talking about reaching the heights uh in ordinary spirituality and he said not that I've already obtained this uh I'm not already perfect but I press on to take hold of what Christ Jesus Took hold of me in other words I'm straining to reach the fullness and brothers he said I don't consider myself yet to have taken hold of it but
10:02 there's one thing I do I forget the past and I strain towards what is ahead I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which Christ Jesus captured me so everybody who has already joined the Divine will Journey are people who are still evolving uh still being purified and the Lord taking his purification deeper and deeper he has to purify our intellect our memories our Wills our hearts our desires our motivations absolutely everything if you think that's easy he hasn't done it yet in you is extremely painful and we don't like giving in on every
10:49 level okay human nature wants a little bit for itself all back and uh that's where we trip up along the way okay but entering into the Divine will spirituality uh actually does is it gives you wounds and the two wings are surrender and Trust that we surrender everything our own way of thinking our own way of doing our own motivations absolutely everything we surrender everything and we trust God Beyond Reason those two will bring you to the Heights and I call them the two wings of the eagle that enabled us to fly and so these are
11:34 just sort of the beginning of an answer that I would give you uh to let you sort of um hide whether I'm ready for this or not there's nothing wrong with ordinary spirituality uh what I've noticed is that in people who who um feel very comfortable coming into the Divine will are people who have already been on a journey through charismatic renewal or they've already been on a journey through the Legion of Mary or they've already been in Padre Pio groups or the Divine Mercy groups and other groups that I can't think of at this moment in other words they've already been on the journey and when the Lord wants to lift them up to this higher level they're actually ready so you might be ready you have to make
12:21 that decision
