00 [music] Hello and welcome to our YouTube channel. What does this data say? I am Ajay Prakash and welcome to this special episode, the last one for the year 2025. As 2025 comes to an end, India is not asking for miracles. And please Modi G, it is not asking for more slogans. It is not asking you to rename more cities or more government schemes. And we have had enough of your Amrat Khal story, the development story, the story of golden
48 India which will come in 2047. India is not asking for a new savior. India today is asking for a third force. Not because it wants novelty but because it has run out of trust. More than a century ago, Rabindra Tagore imagined an India where the mind is without fear and the head is held high. Where knowledge is free. where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls. That India was not poetry. It slowly became a standard after independence and then Modi arrived in 2014.
36 And today the tragedy of 2025 is not that India failed to reach that standard but that its two principled political parties stopped even trying. This is not a speech against BJP and this is not a defense of the Congress. This is an overdue reckoning because democracies do not decline when one party governs badly. They decline when every available choice becomes inadequate. Let us begin with the party that has held absolute power for over a decade. When the BJP came to power in 2014, it captured something real. Not just votes
25 but hope. There was fatigue with drift, anger at corruption, a belief that India needed execution. not excuses. People were willing to forgive arrogance if it delivered competence. They were willing to tolerate centralization if it produced results. That was the contract. And that contract has been broken. Hope was not missed. It was trashed. The BJP did not merely fall short of expectation. It weaponized hope then discarded it. Jobs were promised replaced by slogans. Manufacturing was promised replaced by headline.
12 Institutional reform was promised replaced by loyalty test. When outcomes disappointed the language changed. If you question results you were antiational. If you asked for data you were anti-development. If you demanded accountability, you were anti-India. Hope was not unmet. It was mocked. [music] Narendra Modi did not merely fail in governance. He failed in intent, intellect, and aspiration. Governance became secondary to control. Policy was
58 reduced to optics and institutions were treated as inconveniences rather than foundations. Big ideas were replaced by big announcements and serious economic thinking gave way to constant image management. Power became personal, centralized and permanent in design. While he ran relentlessly after authority, India did not rise with him. It whed institutionally weakened, economically anxious and intellectually diminished. This was not the failure of capacity alone. It was the failure of purpose. The most damaging legacy of BJP years is not what the prime minister
44 did. It is what everyone else [snorts] stopped doing. India once had heavyweight ministers, people with ideological differences. Yes, but also independent spines. Today, many senior ministers resemble court artistic, skilled in praise, expert in silence, terrified of disscent. Men and women with decades of experience now speak only in approved sentences. They defend personalities instead of policies. They wait for cues instead of exercising judgment. No resignations for failure, no ownership of mistakes, no internal
30 correction. This is not discipline. This is institutional coward eyes. And when heavyweight ministers become ornamental, the nation pays the price. Parliament is not background noise. It is the spine of the republic. Yet it has been reduced to a ritual. Sessions are shortened. Debates are dodged. Questions are stonewalled. The prime minister speaks everywhere except where the constitution demands it the most. This is not confidence. This is avoidance. Democracies do not die from criticism. They die when leaders refused to face it. When growth slowed, nationalism was
18 invoked. When jobs stagnated, nationalism was invoked. When institutions weakened, nationalism was invoked. But nationalism without results is not patriotism. It is a emotional debt borrowed from the future with interest charged to the nation. The BJP does not suffer from lack of power. It suffers from lack of restraint. It no longer looks like a party that governs. It looks like a system that cannot tolerate correction. That makes it today unworthy of ruling India. [music]
07 Now let's look at the Congress party. The opposition that never prepared to govern. If the BJP represents the abuse of power, the Congress represents the refusal to prepare for power. For 11 years, the Congress had just one job, to become a credible alternative, and it failed. The Congress criticizes fluently, sometimes rightly, often passionately, but criticism is not a program. Where is the shadow cabinet? Where is the economic blueprint? Where is the institutional road map? Where is the sense that we are ready to govern tomorrow? Totally absent. Instead, the
55 party relies on moral posturing and the hope that the ruling party will collapse on its own. That is not opposition. India is not rejecting the Congress because of ideology. It is rejecting it because of stagnation. One family dominates decisions. One surname defines ambition. Defeats bring no consequences. Losses produce explanations, not reform. No party that fears internal democracy can promise national democracy. Perhaps the greatest failure is that the Congress has grown comfortable in opposition. Losing elections has become proof of virtue. Winning has become
41 optional. Democracy needs a fighting opposition, not a philosophizing one. The Congress today is not dangerous. It is irrelevant by choice. That makes it today unfit to replace the BJP. One party governs without listening, the other listens without governing. Between them institutions weaken, public trust erodess, young Indians disengage. This is how democracy stagnate. Not through coups but through exhaustion. Let me be absolutely clear. This is not
28 a call for chaos, not a call for messias, not a call for overnight coalition stitched together by fear or ambition. It is a recognition and it is overdue. Today the BJP is unworthy of ruling India and the Congress is unfit to replace it. When power forgets restraint and opposition forgets responsibility, the people do not fall silent. They begin searching. And this search for a third force is not romantic. It is not ideological. It is deeply practical. It comes from voters who want governance without arrogance, authority without intimidation and
16 reform without theaters. A third force does not begin as a party. It begins as a standard of internal democracy, of economic seriousness, of institutional respect, of leadership that is accountable even when popular. India is not asking for perfection. It is asking for honesty of effort. India is not angry. India is tired. And tired nations do not erupt. They realign as 2025 ends. India is not choosing sides. It is searching for a space where power listens. Where opposition prepares.
02 Where governance is boring but effective. A space where once again the mind is without fear and the head can be held high. Thank you for watching. I am Ajay Praash.
