0:46 leomon and the others powerful new digimon attacked them one after the other meanwhile koshiro's side tries to carry out a counter plan to bring the unresponsive ships under control so what do you all think of this episode there's a bunch of sea monsters they come slytherin and sliding and they get [ __ ] up a lot yeah yeah like i don't whoever is directing that episode they don't like that did you know a dog eat dog world out there yeah it really is and this is yeah we do see the the ebra ebermann i don't know what his name actually is but the lobster digimon oh uh we we see him get munched at the beginning of the episode which uh i i feel like was hinted at before at some point maybe that other digimon eat other digimon well that's what like debbie mom

1:32 said right like right right is it or did it did debbie want to like eat like from the like real world in order to like not eat yes like other digimon yeah it's not like his thing yeah but like i didn't know if they ever specified it was because of that i think i'm just making a big leap in logic yeah but i feel like i already came to that conclusion kind of but it's like it's like my head canon the only time i remember explicitly where they were gonna get eaten was uh sneamon way back in episode four right the green like like the ocean one right no uh the the green like uh praying mantis thing and sora's episode like that's the only time i remember they said explicitly that they were gonna get

2:18 eaten yeah that's true all the other digimon are just attacking them yeah because they're pissed or something yeah they have like sound version on like controlling them yeah what happened to sound bergeron i'm tired it's quiet bergeron now yeah he's retired from his villainy so i mean i thought that was kind of cool i guess when he evolved after eating the thing the sea monster eats it oh okay see jeremiah yeah this episode started with all the baby digimon eating and i couldn't think about anything else oh that's true yeah yeah they're sitting there eating their fruit having fun and then they just see see jeremiah just [ __ ] eat and murder let me tell you in this show now whenever i hear that little like the

3:03 music and i'm just like oh my god [Music] that's going to open up a whole discussion we have to say for the end of overall thoughts yeah of happiness and they're like hey are you enjoying this say goodbye i hope you had a good time for 14 seconds i mean i kind of i like sea monsters i guess okay so like as just a standard bad guy digimon episode i thought this was okay but like they're just so they're so inefficient in getting places in the show and like i feel like at the i thought you meant c german no not in a no no i mean evolution shows that the snake design is very efficient actually but um

3:50 but uh like episodes 25 and 26 in terms of plot progression i feel like should have been one episode like there should be two episodes to get them to the [ __ ] island yeah you know or to the new continent and having that be two fights there's two fights in just this one because i can't i do admit though that it annoys me more week to week than it does when we're sitting down watching them because like i want them to get somewhere and so when we're all sitting watching the episodes all together i don't mind it as much but like it pisses me off week to week when it's like just more of this and it's enjoyable i guess i mean i thought the eating stuff added a new layer to it um this episode just got brutal again they're like violence now like we decided this is a violent show all of a

4:35 sudden yeah well because we're in the violent continent now yeah it was all like peaceful it's full of hippies and vegetarians because all the vegetarians are hanging up there they're like we're above violence now we're down here and it's like i'm going to eat you so that i can go so i can be more powerful so i can get a bigger turf and kick everyone's butt i feel like what's going on doesn't bother me but i just feel like that first arc was so bloated that it just feels like the same again i suppose like the first arc was like 12 to 15 episodes instead of 25 and then we got into this i feel like i would think it's cooler i guess at this point and i do like the eating digi mod and i do like the lean into that but uh you know i just want to see where they're going

5:21 and like even now like not to skip ahead ahead it's like episode 31 the title of it introduces the next big villain and it's like so what we had seven episodes where there was just like they were just getting back together and you know and just once again there's the lack of efficiency in the storytelling yeah but it's enjoyable it's like they made episode 26 just to like get them back together because that was when they yeah well yeah like they all get back together yeah like at the end it's like when they all get back together so it's like like how you said like 25 26 could have been like merged together yeah easily for two episodes yeah so like yeah well i i kind of have i have some thoughts on why but also i do like the ending when they do get rescued

6:07 and i do like uh i do like how just in terms of efficiency and getting to certain digimon and showing them off i like that we see seedramon warsee jeremiah and mega cedramon who i've always been a big fan of you know the betamond digimon the green guy that i like a lot yes uh he evolves into c drama okay and that's like yeah and so i just like the family so i guess it was cool that way i liked gray mom like slicing him with his horn when he was swimming over him yeah uh well i mean once again it's not like the episode's not bad it's just it's just like things yeah yeah um like we've already done the reunion thing like get on with it but i do like them getting rescued at the end yeah was very angry yeah oh my god

6:54 they're full-blown killers now yeah like they got when they're in the the helmet's cracking yeah i love koshiro's like just murder face murderers and ted excuse me sir stinky man i have a big piece of paper on the ground and stinky mod is uh currently deciding that's his home now uh but i do like that ending and i i really just you know once again everything that happens in the fights always impresses me like lily mom stepping out from yeah that was so funny saying excuse me can you take that away from him yes oh my god all right no no more for you i personally was a fan slash not a fan because it made me laugh and it took me out of the episode already um was they

7:41 used the same like three frames yeah yeah leomon's just like the fist and then pokemon throwing like the little pellets three yeah yeah and the same exact animation too yeah bubble no yeah like like yeah yeah yeah three no i think they use that one twice but leo won and pokemon three times and you know what i i do kind of like like just seeing leomon and them kind of have an action moment i agree and once again the episode i thought was very good like in terms of what this show has been right but just like the placement in the series is making me like antsy the movie yes uh so good i really like the flip when uh altura kabutarymon like is and then like flips sedramon and then tai chi's obviously like like

8:28 hikari like you're here wow like because they get teleported to the world because she does that she sure does yeah i think that's and i mean i kind of she just looks soulless it really bothers me there's like no light in her eyes she just like sits there staring at them she is blinkingly like the whole episode before she was just like she is the eyeball lips eyeball yeah it's like perfect but i also i mean the only time she shows the motion is when she's like talking to like augumon yeah she's like you're cute that's in the next one but i do like i mean we've seen so much of tai chi and he is like i feel like this arc confirms that he is a like a true to himself character

9:14 like never falters yeah and so i do kind of like seeing his little sister around because i clearly like he does have a different dynamic with how he feels about his need to like protect her i guess specifically it adds a layer of vulnerability yeah that he hasn't had yet and so once again i think what they're doing with tai chi is interesting and cool but it just takes so long to get to it that i'm just like like i'm tired of this kid you know like all right yeah this is this kind of sums up what we were saying well i was saying at least really liked 26 for the siegermont battle scenario the smaller scale threats are what makes it feel like a digimon adventure and not digimon warfare the team's conclusion was interesting if bit anticlimactic uh then coming back into the fold was both cool and a big relief yeah i mean their whole arc

10:00 during this whole thing does kind of just end with nothing gotta say don't remember any of it yeah like the weird corn did you mind don't remember anything so they're like they just come into the world yeah like they don't get a cool moment really and they feel like they should have i mean like kosher like figured out like what to do it was like the ships were out of control yeah and then he was like all let's do like a little ripple effect type thing it's just i was like it's interesting it was like a cool like out of the box like way to think about how to fix it but like it was it is the adults picked up on what he was trying to do yeah and like executed it but there's no like oh cool that was a resolution because they immediately get teleported because kikore's just like staring at them then it's smart it's smart but it's boring yeah it's like there's this there's this early simpsons joke we're like bart sees a sign and he like switches it around to

10:48 make like a new phrase and it works and the joke isn't funny but it's like you've spent so much time thinking about that and it's like i feel like that's them with a lot of the tech stuff with koshiro where it's like this is really intelligent like the stuff that can go wrong with the digital world and the real world is interesting but it just one because it's the b plot a lot more is happening usually on tai chi and yamado's side and because of that it's moving along so quickly where their stuff doesn't have much going on in it and i feel like you should be adding more interesting ways for them to interact with that plot rather than just thinking the solvency itself is interesting enough to carry what's going on yeah they're not committing to that part as much as committing to having a fight

11:35 every single episode and it could be cool it could be so cool yeah and like i thought it's interesting like talking about it now like the boat signals and all that and they actually do go through all the different like wavelength frequencies that people communicate through and how you could use those to fix this problem yeah it's just like cool like you know like you have a consultant you have a consultant on the team guy in the chair and then he like updates their device in the next episode which is like that's pretty cool that you could like yeah because these devices aren't from your world right but it was so quick he was like i hear i did this and now it's just like a thing in every episode so i'm not looking forward to that because he said it checks your digimon's vitals and i'm fully expecting them at some point to have their digimon's health on screen and like

12:21 yeah like a video game yeah and so i'm worried that's what that means yeah um and they haven't done it yet but also once again the show is just so inefficient to get into things like we don't know if they're gonna do something we might not see it for another 20 years uh but yeah definitely just lost your friends out there you oh my god billy are you not recording any of this no [Music] hey i just wanted to take two seconds in this technical intermission to shout out the youtube channel the did you know uh we both did a digimon the movie video right on top of each other and mine kind of ended up eclipsing his and i felt really bad about it and i watch his

13:06 channel so i just wanted to shout him out and bring attention to his channel from you guys it's really hard for me to get to the digimon content week to week but the did you know is able to do it and also uh just because i'm talking to people who aren't as familiar with digimon i'm unable to go into a lot more of the nerdy speculating and uh lore kind of you know theory crafting that i may want to just because nico arizona and lexi may not appreciate it but uh the digino does a lot of videos on things that may potentially come to the anime such as you know late series character editions that they may be hinting at or alternative evolutions that they may be hinting at because of certain merchandising toys pointing to that direction so do me a favor and go watch a video or two so anyways back to the discussion wow it's your boat wow this is the same

13:53 day i promise and the two of you are wearing different clothes episode 27 to the new continent tai chi's younger sister hikari and kosheros group are brought to the digital world just in time to save tai chi's group the chosen ones are now reunited once again however another disaster this time at a rocket launch site hits the real world wow wow wow whoever's writing these descriptions just good job good job uh so yeah this is the one where uh they go on to land and there's a bunch of like little sea urchin digimon who are also like turtles um and they start shooting missiles at them i think they're supposed to be lizards they're

14:38 well yeah but they're spiky like horn to lizards so the big spiky lizards they toured them on they uh they spike at them and then they're like we got this we are beating them and then the big dragon busts out of the mountain and starts eating all of them and uh then they team up to beat them [Laughter] yeah but before that leomine and friends get sucked into a giant whirlpool oh yeah yeah they're like taking that black lightning on the chin like they said oh yeah so the black lightning yeah i think that the little crystal thing is controlling it yes because it's hitting like certain digimons and powering them up have i explained to you guys that the crystal

15:24 is a digimon yeah we saw him moving around we saw him grooving his little eyeballs yeah he's like inside he's in man uh who was the main villain these damn millennials yeah millennial like he can put avocados that has nobody to afford houses ever again and um that's what he that's what his powers are but he's from a video game uh for the japanese exclusive console the wonder swan which was created by gunpei yokoi who created the game boy and so i yeah [Laughter] that's a lot millennium on makes a like a cameo appearance in digimon adventure 0-2 because he's like important to the backstory of the main villain in the

16:09 first arc of that show uh so he's very relevant to a lot of digimon lore um the only thing i know about him is that another digimon named kamaramon turns into him and apparently he can like time travel and [ __ ] uh this is just from what people are telling me people are like oh i'm surprised i'm surprised billy's not mentioning millennium on inside the rock and i'm like yeah i didn't know that i don't know anything about digimon like i remember looking at that rock on the wiki page like six years ago but like i didn't know that like every rock was that thing right um yeah so i don't think it's every rock i think it's just that particular crystal no but i didn't know that like you know i mean devi man had the rocks so like rocks have lore and it's kind of

16:54 interesting because melania has the same like bandit thank you pocahontas so maybe like maybe they go to the same like cvs or something all right so yeah the rock was just controlling debbie mine leoman uh i love him takes his leave before inevitably his return only to die later in this no stop we're not talking about dudes like they're like oh we can't leave big turtle boy yeah we gotta protect them yeah we gotta protect them which is like a good enough reason to like move them to the side like like like dude he was falling for a while like he's hurt we're not leaving him and so like i was like okay cool it's like they're just gonna move on ahead but then just like a [ __ ] massive

17:39 whirlpool shows up and they're just gone i was just like oh okay so like even if like they're fine i'm like one of them is like dead right well maybe it's leomon yeah yeah no it can't be you do like falcom on in the other one just like come like like go up to like ty she's like we we tried we tried so hard and so like leomon gets an off-screen death worse even worse no we can't do we can't do father like that we can't but like is he gonna be stronger when he comes back because he got the lightning too so maybe i wouldn't be upset about what if he what if they become corrupt oh no yeah evil leoma yeah evilmon i want leon to be me no mom i want leon want to be op ally

18:26 who just shows up you know shows up when things are in a pinch and then he's like he's back he was a little op because he was going up against uh waru sidramon in the last one yeah and he like flicked him and then it was over and it's like thank god i feel like that particular lightning is just meant to uh destroy and not power up yeah well no it powers up it fought power power it powers them on in the next episode yeah powers up well i feel like in that particular situation mr dark crystal dude wasn't like i gotta power up these good guys he's like take that [ __ ] yeah fall into this whirlpool that i'm gonna create um i thought the team up later in the episode was nice to have them all doing something together again uh oh yes all attacking the mouth to

19:11 i thought the teamwork in this episode was very good yeah i thought that what was his name ground roman is that what his name is i thought that it was really cool that like his back spine would light up with like the amount of power that he had yeah like he was charging up yeah yeah that was me i liked him a lot and then beating him was just over charging him with energy so he explodes oh yeah dude he was he busted up that was nice i said i was excited for the titty cannons in this episode but then when it like showed it like bouncing around i was like i don't like it i don't like it i hate it now but i also like the i like the shots of like uh hikari and uh takaru like looking at them like they're so cool together but also like they're like yeah we're a seasoned team we've had so many fights together and it's like

19:57 you've had one yeah yeah and it's like you've had one team-up fight so far right so this is like it feels like they're they're like yeah we've been cool this whole time together when yamado gets hit by the rock and goes no oh yeah i got this cool yeah they're mermaids they're all acting like joe joe's like i'm the leader guy oh i like it when he introduces himself to the younger siblings and uh also just like sora being like oh is this talker room like oh yeah they haven't met like that was like 12 episodes yeah right oh this is the brother you've always been talking about i'd be like i've been alive for 50 years flashback to ogremon saying straight ahead same feeling yeah like oh my god that was the same like that's the way yamada says it like so i was like wait is that

20:43 your brother he's like yeah he goes uh yeah once again just a good episode i think overall pretty soon and then i i mean i was very relieved to see skull nightmare at the end of the episode oh yeah he was just like surprise [ __ ] yeah because it's just like we're getting right back into like something plot related yes i'm like oh this is a [ __ ] excuse me this is a digimon that i recognize finally oh a common enemy that we'd be like oh yes this is a bad guy this is a big bad we're coming back to this thing instead of just like no did you mind they're going to fight it and beat it new digimon they're gonna fight and beat it every single episode is the same yeah but then all the kids are exhausted so takaru is like it's my turn now i'm gonna be the cool kid yeah and he feels really motivated i feel like the motivation for that really made sense after yeah episode um and it's nice to

21:29 see like mr padamon it's nice to see him like evolve yeah like i like it was like it was pretty quick of like an evolution sequence yeah homie showed up and he said brb i'm gonna turn into the holy digimon no big deal like i'm here and now i'm this angel what's up like it was so very rapid but i'm it was cool to see i liked it i mean you know run time all right here's one here's one that i definitely agree with that kind of goes back to the original series a little bit more the wild digimon need voices i'm tired of random growling and them just being wild animals even if they all say generic stuff like i'm gonna eat you all i'm bored of the silence i miss when they have personalities and that's from uh doric velstan uh mycar23 yeah so thank you um but yeah i agree with that i just

22:15 think it would make things more interesting yeah i feel like all the evil digimon can't talk but all like the friendly ones can talk because in the what is it the next episode they meet like the the woodmon yeah the trees but even the bun mon don't really talk it's just the woodmobile the babies yeah they are yeah they're they are meant to be baby yeah i like that they can talk but it does seem that because like we have debbie montauk and then androman's talk like andrew montauk and then uh was it like minotaur man minotaur montana yeah over montauk yeah and ogremon remember that's what everybody's doing those characters though right yeah yeah but like the the thing is like menitoramon was one episode yeah and and him talking like elevated that episode a lot yeah and so like even if you have like generic stuff like i still think it

23:02 would it would add it would level up the uh like the episodes in general you darn chosen children like we need a couple of those you know right right horses well i'm hoping because once again the next episode introduces the big villains so like i'm hoping we'll get more of that now that there hopefully be some sort of like goal laid out for them uh because i mean it's a five episode arc just to get them on a piece of land right you know uh but so much yeah but once again i feel bad because i i want to i am enjoying episode episodes it's okay i i do like episode 27 a lot there's like a lot of like small stuff in it like um i'm trying to hold on so okay

26:12 yeah it is none of that happens maybe one day maybe one day we'll get some of that it's an alternate reality where character work and beach episodes actually exist well i'm hoping i'm hoping they get to the real world and we see some of that because like the arc equivalent in the original show where they go to the real world is this one well oh okay let's save that for the overall thoughts i'm gonna get real so episode the chosen ones come to face their old enemy dark nightmod padamon evolves into angemon again to fight off dark nightmod however the children are all separated and sent to different parts of the continent i liked that fight at the beginning with andre yeah music's really cool yes i said the same thing about music during heaven's knuckle very cool oh yeah i like that he like straight up told angebond to his face he's like i'm not interested in

29:19 somehow slipped into the digital world and in order to stay like alive gets super physically fit and ripped uh to like fend off for himself and so that's the secret lore of nani and gets a tattoo on his head that says fu no it says it's the same thing but yeah look look at look at good old nanny mod i don't want to look at him no we should look at him again i mean no i don't oh i don't like it he's ready to fight somebody somebody looks like an angry like mr t pac-man somebody commented and i'll pull up this comment later that they're hoping that we get like a man up joe arc with him that would be so good like wouldn't that be kind of great i would like that i wouldn't be upset with that

30:05 i like how all the kids like all the other kids are like oh yeah there's digimon trying to eat me we should all like group up together we should all group up together mimi's like pretty rocks let's uh collect them and make accessories and joe's like i'm at the hot springs don't mind me everyone should meet up here yeah yeah it's like here the water's great and they're like we're literally about to get eaten yeah but like i just like how mimi and palma and they were really just like oh like this dude can't climb the one that's chasing us all right cool we got he's like it was like you know we got time i also like i mean part of another reason why i don't necessarily mind this split up as much as the other ones is because they still get to communicate with each other yes so it makes it a little better like i like those little vignettes of you seeing where they all are and they

30:52 have like this little musical track that's real like like low and just kind of like a steady beat that plays over it yeah and i like those scenes a lot uh i think this show is gonna be a lot better watching it through like yeah once again once it's like i think it's a better binge show i do as well because i mean just it's just you get along an inch every episode and it's not as bad if you can just go to the next one immediately i guess what was the digimon that uh tai chi was fighting volkadore yeah he gets getting hit by lightning getting a little angry and getting charged he's like charged up and he's like firing out of his little volcano turtle back we're weird like zit looking volcanoes i didn't like the animation of

31:38 the the way i like his design the design is cool just the animation of like the way it erupted just like it was like blue like the little oh his overall design is cool it's just like he just stands around he just stands there though so it's like there wasn't anything like interesting like animation-wise with him i just like his overall like like what they did with him like a shield that was cool yeah like out of like but he seems very distressed getting hit by the lightning so like i wonder if maybe he wouldn't have been such a bad guy if he wasn't being harassed by the lightning you know he's just minding his own business in the forest and then he's getting hit by lightning and he's like ah pain the lightning is the new sound bird drama that's true yeah oh my god sound bird german's now just a wave form yeah

32:24 exactly he's been recycled he is now lightning he's not enlightening jeez just throw him in the food processor he's like you didn't do your job the power source try this again throw them in the blender last one was the ooze this is the black lightning yeah the goo but augumon like says this thing at the beginning where he's like this voice where like he implies doraman's like doing something specific like like maybe he's like like going to eat them or something or maybe he's planning something and just that doesn't really do any like go anywhere besides that and i really hate during the fight that metal grey man's like these two children are on me my only option is to keep blasting even though this guy doesn't

33:11 have wings and i have wings retreating is not an option which i guess is very tai chi aguman but like yeah there's got to come a point where they're like we can get away safely it would have been nice if they did retreat because like they would have been thinking about like oh like my little sister's right next to me we're in a dangerous situation but instead he was just like no like i'm gonna look cool right guys he keeps going i'll end this right now [Music] just starts blasting don't worry i got this right now but like but his sister like helps like i like that yeah with the hand like and we get the little war grandma
