01 What happened to the Muslim man in today's world? There was this recent study that I found that shared that the average adult man in today's world can only do 5 to 10 push-ups, 0 to two pull-ups, and run up more than 500 m. What happened? We used to fight wars, provide, protect, and run miles to hunt for our food. And now the screen time is 10 hours a day watching porn, playing games, Netflix, social media. Now let me ask you, brother, and you need to be honest with me. Can you call yourself a real man? Can you look yourself in the mirror and say, "I'm proud of myself." Because from what I'm seeing, it looks like men in today's world are confused
48 about what it truly means to be a man. And especially for us as Muslims. I mean, everywhere I look, I see confusion. The world telling us that masculinity is toxic, that being a strong, responsible man is something to to be ashamed of. They mock the idea of being a protector, a leader in your house. And they even blur the lines between men and women, even questioning the very basics of our identity. Come on, man. As Muslims, we already have been given the blueprint for what it means to be a real man. We have the best example that has ever lived on planet earth. Our beloved prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. I mean when I open up the Quran and read about the life of our prophet, a true man means being a protector, provider, a
37 leader, a role model and an inspiration to others. But are you living by this example? The unfortunate fact is just that men are getting weaker and weaker. social media, video games, movies, we are influenced by every corner of the dunya. And that's exactly what Shayan wants from you. But today, we're going to end that. It's time to dive deeper into this problem and search for answers because it's time to fight back because this world needs real Muslim men now more than ever before. Now in life I learned that in order to find the right solution to anything you first need to truly understand the problem. So let's start over there because let's be honest
24 it looks like we are not even aware of the problem. Look at society. Look at the ummah. We are scrolling on our phones consuming meaningless videos and content. Playing video games with friends, unhealthy food or being out of shape. just constantly wasting time on things that just don't matter. And I know this is becoming the new normal now, but is this really what it means to be a man? Is this what our prophet Muhammad sallall alaihi wasallam would do? The reality is that in a godless society filled with desires and all of it, especially in the west, all this destruction and comfort, we are just losing the purpose of being a man. No wonder that depression rates are higher than ever before. We men used to be outside every single day in nature,
09 hunting for our food, you know, fighting wars, riding horses, physically providing for our families. And deep down, this is what we still want. But what do we do instead of actually fighting wars, hunting, and going out on a mission? You know, we we watch the news, social media, and and movies to experience the same emotions while eating a pizza and drinking a milkshake. Come on, man. It's our nature to fight, to provide, to protect, to lead, to create. We need a mission, a purpose. We need to live the hero's journey, not watch it on Netflix. And that's why it's so so important to go back to the Quran and the Sunnah. Because only in there we
57 will find everything we need to be a good man. Now you see I'm a Muslim refort. Alhamdulillah. And it truly surprised me how this religion, this dean basically gives the answers to all the problems in the West. Let's look deeper into what it truly means to be a man. Because in Islam, the role of being a man is not just about providing or protecting. It's about leading with purpose and balance. A real man must be strong. Yes, of course. But he balances that strength with compassion. He takes responsibility for himself, but also for his family and his community. Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in the Quran in surah anisa men are the protectors and maintainers of women because Allah has
42 given the one more strength than the other and because they support them from their means. This verse shows us the two key roles of being a man. It's protecting and providing. But being a protector isn't just about physical strength. It means creating an environment of safety, love, and respect so that those under your care, your family can flourish. And not just that, I mean, as a man, you need to be responsible for the finance as well. You need to be able to pay the rent, make sure the groceries uh can be bought and all the bills are paid. And being a provider is also more than just earning money. It's about ensuring your family's needs are met spiritually, emotionally, not just materially. You see a real man has huge responsibilities. How can you
28 even feel comfortable scrolling on social media playing games all day? Our prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "The strong believer is more beloved to Allah than the weak believer while there is good in both." This is a sahi Muslim hadith. Our prophet Muhammad may peace and blessings be upon him was the greatest example of mankind. He was a leader, a warrior, a teacher, a husband. But he was also very kind and humble and approachable. It's not only about being strong, having money to provide. It's about being humble, merciful, patient, and respectful at the same time. Now, how many of us are really able to say that today? I mean, a real man in Islam is a leader in every sense. He leads his family, his community, and himself
15 towards what is good and pleasing to Allah subhana wa tala. And true leadership isn't about control. It's about responsibility. This is where it all starts. But before we can be an inspiration to others, we must first take full responsibility of ourselves. I mean, think about it. How can you guide your family, uplift your brothers, or strengthen your community if you cannot even control your own desires and behavior? A real man starts by mastering himself. This means disciplining your soul, overcoming laziness, and breaking free from distractions that pull you away from your purpose. It means being honest to yourself about your weaknesses and striving to improve them every single day. I mean our prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam said the
01 strong man is not the one who overpowers the others by wrestling and all of this but the one who controls himself when he is angry and this is so true I mean this hadith shows and reminds us that real strength is about controlling yourself it's about conquering the ego your nefs must mastering your emotions and aligning your actions with your faith and while this has been made so so clear in the Quran and in the sunnah Still, so many of us are falling into the habits that are wasting our potential. Hours lost on gaming, endless scrolling on social media, or just chasing worldly desires that lead nowhere. I'm going to be very honest with you now. If you want to be a leader, a protector, and a role model, it just starts with you. You need
49 to fix yourself first. Discipline your mind, your body, and your soul. Because a man who can't lead himself will never ever be able to lead others. All right. So now that you know what it means to be a man in Islam, let's get things a bit more practical, shall we? I mean, knowing your responsibilities is is one thing, but acting upon them is what truly matters, right? Everything starts with action. So let's dive into the seven powerful tips that I prepared for you that will help you to take control of your life to fulfill your role and become the man that Allah subhana wa ta'ala has called you to be. All right. Now first it starts with mastering your salah. The very first most important thing is to prioritize your salah your
35 daily prayer because your prayer is the foundation of your faith and the anchor of of your day. If you are neglecting your salah, it's like trying to build a house without a foundation. I'm not going to lie to you, it will collapse. So set alarms, organize your day around your five daily prayers and make them your top top one priority. Because our prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that the first thing a person will be called to account for on the day of judgment is the prayer. When you master your salah, you're not just fulfilling an obligation. You are building discipline, structure and a direct connection with your creator. Now the next one is set clear goals in your life. What kind of a man do you want to be in 5 years? Do you have that clear in your mind? What kind of a father do you want to be? Husband or leader? What do
21 you want to become? Write down these goals for yourself. Be specific because goals give you direction in life. And without them, it's it's very easy to just fall off into laziness and distraction. So ask yourself what's the legacy that you want to leave behind and then just start working on it today. You would be surprised how much just writing down your goals can do to you. So the next thing and you probably saw this coming already. Limit those timewasting activities. All right, this is what I said in the beginning of this video. Too many of us are wasting hours every single day on things that just don't matter. Social media, gaming, watching YouTube videos, blahy blahy blah everything. It might feel very fun in the moment, but what do they leave you with? Nothing but regret and lust of
09 time. So take control of your time and behavior. And that starts with just listing down your behaviors and what you do, how you spend your time. And see which ones are bringing you closer to Allah versus the things that are pulling you away. I mean, the screen time of the average young man nowadays is like 6 7 8 9 10 hours. I I don't know it anymore. It's crazy. Try to replace those wasted daily hours with something productive. Read a book. Study the Quran. Work on a skill. Build a business. Spend time with your family. There's so much that you can do. And this also brings me to my next point, which is financial responsibility. Because as men, we are responsible to provide for our families. But this isn't just about earning money. It's about earning halal wealth and managing it wisely. It's about avoiding
57 to fall into traps of debt, overspending, or chasing quick money or spending it on the wrong things. You know, you need to make sure that you learn the very basics of just financial literacy. I know so many brothers that just don't know how to deal with it and how to spend their money in in in the right way. But the opportunities are everywhere. So make halal money, save and invest for your future family, give in charity and ensure that your earnings are aligned with the Islamic principles. That's what a real man does. He plans ahead. He provides for his family and he makes sure that his wealth is a source of baraka, not stress. I mean, I remember myself when I started my first business. I didn't even know what I was doing. But I learned so much from those struggles. It pushed me to just take
43 more responsibility, become mentally stronger and look for ways to provide. So search for something meaningful. Now number five is also a very important one. You need to strengthen your physical and mental health because your body is a trust from Allah and taking care of it is part of your responsibility. No discussion. Focus on your diet. Go to the gym. Go for a run. It's not only about being physically strong. It's mental and emotionally as well. you know, learn to manage stress, build the resilience, and stay disciplined. Cuz a real man, a strong man doesn't let his emotions control him. He controls his emotions. And physical and mental strength is really what is missing in today's society. I mean, it's crazy. So, take it seriously, okay? And I mean, it also brings me to my next point. Number six is to be a
29 role model in your family and and for others around you. As a man, we want to be leaders in our households. I mean, at least this is what we need to be when we look at the Quran and the Sunnah. It's about being a good son, a good brother, a good husband, and bringing stability and harmony to your family. You just need to be focusing on the best version of yourself, for the people around you. I mean, today's society is like trying to look very good on social media and do everything for people that don't even know them. Start with your family. How do you look in the eyes of your mother, your father, your brother, your sister, everyone? work on building a good character. And now the last point and this is one of the most most important one if you want to grow is surround yourself with good company. You need to
15 surround yourself with people who inspire you to be better. If your circle is full of people who waste their time, gossip and pull you toward haram maybe even it's time to find new friends. I'm not going to lie. You need to kick them out of your life immediately. I don't care. You need to build a network of good brothers who push you to improve in your dean, your dunya, everything. So, choose wisely who you surround yourself with. And now, I know the responsibilities of a real man in Islam, they aren't easy, but they are worth it and they are necessary because when you take control of your life, fulfill your role, and strive for the pleasure of Allah, you're not just building a better life for yourself. You are uplifting your family, the community around you, the entire ummah. Real growth starts
02 with yourself. So start today. Most your salah. Set your goals. Cut out all these distractions and lead by example because the world needs real men like you. again.
