0:00 This is Jack and Dan watching Jurassic Park. Look at that. It's like chomping like a dinosaur. Look at that. Ah, yeah. Like an alligator. The the world is living dinosaurs. That's actually pretty cool. Unchanged for like a quadrillion years. Hello. Welcome back to the channel if you're returning. And if this is your first time here, well then get the hell in here. All right. Pull up a seat and sit with us. That's right. Right. And you know by now the only place to sit is Betwix the boys right here, baby. This is it. Mhm. Straddle. Come on. Don't be shy. Hey, if it's your first time here, don't be shy. All right. We're all friends here, you know. All right. I'm looking forward to this one. Dinosaurs and [ __ ] right? Uh-huh. Yeah. This is going to be uh quite enjoyable. This is like a cultural
0:46 classic. I feel like this one. Yeah. And they they they're releasing a new one, I think, this summer with Scarlett Johansson, right? Okay. I know they did the reboot with Chris Pratt, right? Yeah. Yeah. Um, so there's been quite a lot in the in the universe at this point, but uh it's pretty wild. Like I should say I have seen this movie. It's pretty fuzzy to me. I don't remember very much, but Jack, you've never seen this, right? Yeah. And I which is surprising because I I I think dinosaurs are pretty [ __ ] cool. Yeah. So the fact uh you dodged this one in your childhood. So I'm actually quite interested uh to watch this one. Didn't win on the poll. It was on the poll. didn't win but wanted to watch it anyway. So, uh yeah, I think it was on a poll at some point and it didn't win and
1:31 we ended up just deciding to do it. This can be this is our pick. This is Yeah, sometimes we pick our own. This is this is just what we wanted to do here. Don't think that the polls are, you know, redundant and we still we still do all the picks on the polls. Sometimes we want to we want to pick as well. Sometimes we have a Jack and Dan pick. Yeah. And this is one. There's a couple of very famous scenes in this movie that I vaguely remember, but in terms of plot line, I don't remember that much. But you haven't seen you have you're going in completely blind. My understanding is it's like a like Jurassic Park is like a it's like a theme park of dinosaurs is kind of like the the impression I have going in. Yeah, pretty much. That's pretty much it. That's all you need to know. And that uh No, I'm not even going to say anything else. Okay. Just going to leave it leave it for you to discover. I'm just quite excited to get into the park now. I'm really hoping that we're going to see a
2:17 Pachyphilosaurus. Oh. Um, favorite dinosaur. You know, they're pretty [ __ ] badass. They're the ones like with the super hard skulls that ram [ __ ] Ah, okay. Yeah. Yeah. They just don't give a [ __ ] and they just run head first. Dive head first into life, Dan. Much like myself. Yeah. Pretty bold. Pretty bold. It's actually It's my spirit dino. Yeah. I think mine was the My favorite was the one with the ma like the mace for a tail where it would just smack [ __ ] like a club. Pretty badass. I think you're thinking of the ankleosaur there, Dan. Ah, yeah. Pretty sick. I never knew you were such a a dino fan. What can I say, Dan? They're awesome. Yeah. I think like the OG's I feel like the T-Rex, the Triceratops, right? The the Stegosaurus. Yeah. You know, the these are these are like the the OGs. I
3:02 Diploticosaurus. Is that what it was? Uh the Diplodocus. I think you're thinking of there. Diplus. That's embarrassing. Your long neck. I'm referring to the Triceratops and the T-Rex. These they're not the OGs. I think I can't remember. You got like the the different periods like you got the Cretaceous period I think. Yeah. Like like Jurassic period I think was quite late. I can't remember the all of them to be honest. But so technically not OG. Iconic. Yes. OG. No. Super iconic, man. And as always, please head over to the Patreon where you can find the polls that you can vote and help us decide what we're going to watch next. You can find the fulllength watch reactions. Sync up and watch with us. And you can find the early access YouTube videos. We post them a week early there. So, you know, if if that tickles that tickles your fancy, head
3:47 over there. Check it out. Yeah. Let us tickle you. No, no, we we don't tickle you. But if if if that tickles your fancy, then tickle that link in the description. That's what I meant to say. The link's down there. [ __ ] it up. All right. I say we just dive in. I'm ready. Let's do it. Yeah. We need a good cheers for this one. Yeah. I'm going with uh Ernie. Ernie's coffee this morning. Okay. Big up any if you're in Newcastle, check him out. Uh, this isn't a sponsored segment. I just like him. Right. What should we cheers to? Uh, I think I feel like dinosaurs is too generic. What about the Pakyphilosaurus, Dan? I can go with that. We could all learn a thing or two from the Pakyphilosaurus. Yeah, cheers to that. Cheers, Dan. Just bash your head against your problems until they're fixed. Just dive into life head first, baby.
4:34 Bash first, think later. In fact, yeah, I always I headbutt all my foes in the street. Faws. I have many foes, Dan. My fools. Oh, is this a dinosaur? What do we have here? Whoa. Why are we all like armed to the max here? I think you know why, Jack? Are they not like contained in Oh, look at that. It's not a dino. It's just a cage for a dino. Amazing.
5:21 Joffrey, raise the gate. Oh, man. This is cool. What do we reckon's in here? Something small, obviously. All right. No T-Rex in here. Dan, a Pakyphilosaurus. Thoughts? Oh [ __ ] What happened? Oh no. No. Oh no. Creatures growling turn. Whoa. Oh, you know what? I reckon this is like your standard raptor. Velociraptor. You think? [ __ ] hell. That guy's going to have no legs left. Oh my god.
6:09 Well, I think if that doesn't tell you like perhaps we ought not to do this and open a dinosaur park, I don't know what will immediately. Ola boys. Ola hombres. But Hammond's not even here. We are facing a $20 million lawsuit by the family of that worker. Are you telling me that Ham can't even bother to see me? 20 millie. It's big ass. Look at this guy arriving here in a full suit. Oh, would surely you wouldn't do that. The underwriters feel that the accident has raised some very serious safety questions about the park. If two experts sign up on the island, the insurance guys will back off. Oh, how fun. An excavation project here done. They want Alan Grant. Grant,
6:55 you'll never get him out of Montana. Come along now, Muchachos. What are we looking at? It's a nice rock. Oh, it's a mosquito. All right. That's a pretty big boy. That's got malarian [ __ ] done. Prehistoric malaria. Well, stay back. Oh. Oh, he's really fingering that. Oh, yeah. Look at that. He's not shy. [ __ ] buy her a drink first. You know what I'm saying? Dr. Grant. Dr. The bad lands try again. Montana, I hate computers. Feelings mutual. Oh, on the contrary, I actually love computers. Give it 30 years, mate.
7:41 They'll be everywhere. Whoa. What was that little contraption? Does it like shoot vibrations through the ground and then they can like see where things are? And the bone bounces the image back. Oh my god, I'm a [ __ ] genius. Nailed it. Nice. I'm ready for my paleontology title. Velociraptor. Yeah, it's good shape, too. It's five, six feet high. I'm guessing 9 ft long. Oh, it's posing. Look at that. It knew what it was doing when it was dying. It was like [ __ ] there. There. Now I can die. This is my angle. This is my good side. That doesn't look very scary. Uh, right. Who said that? More like a sixoot turkey.
8:27 Oh, listen mate. You don't know what you're [ __ ] talking about. These are killing machines. Yeah. Let's put you in the ring with them, eh? Try to imagine yourself in a Cretaceous period. You stare at him and he just stares right back. And that's when the attack comes from the side. The other two raptors you didn't even know were there. Oh, little pack pack tactics. Pack tactics. Packtick. Nice. And he slashes at you with this 6-in retractable claw. See, that's quite playful. It's like a little hook. Yeah. He slashes at you here or here. Yeah, that's it. Let's traumatize this kid into respecting velociraptors. All right. He was talking some serious smack there, Dan. I'm sorry. He's got to learn. This kid's going to be traumatized.
9:12 You are alive when they start to eat you. Try to show a little respect. Yeah. Okay. Hulk. I mean, he does probably need to see a therapist now, but at least he's respecting the Velociraptor with its big toenail there. Is that what's important? Yeah. Yeah. Although, to be fair, they all laughed at him, but then he picked on the kid. Just a bit of a bully. It's the smallest target little bit. You want to have one of those? I don't want that kid. They smell. They do not smell. Some of them smell. Babies smell. Oh, he's obviously not a fan of kids, so maybe that checks out.
9:59 Hey, for [ __ ] sake, man. It's very delicate operation here. Couldn't have landed like 200 meters away. Yeah, like where you have to land on the skeleton. What the hell do you think you're doing in here? We were saving that. But today, I got to see it. Wait, I think I've heard something that David Atenburgh's brother, John Hammond, delighted to meet you, Dr. Grout, is this guy, I might be wrong. I can see that my 50,000 a year has been well spent. This is our paleobonist, Dr. Sadler. This is Mr. Hammond. I'm sorry about the dramatic entrance, Dr. Satler. And I help myself to your champagne. We cool though. Yeah. Now, I'll get right to the point. I own an island off the coast of Costa Rica. Nice flex, isn't
10:46 it? Yeah, right. Just dropping that in a conversation. I've spent the last 5 years setting up a biological preserve in your particular field. You're the top minds. If I could just persuade you to sign off on the park, I could get back on schedule. What kind of park is this? I think we know. So, Dino Play Park, why don't you come down just at the pair of you for the weekend? I'd love to have an opinion of a paleobatonist as well. He's keeping it like a bit of a mystery. Yeah, he's trying to draw them in. A paleobotonist. Is that like a dinosaur? A plant dinosaur person? I would say like a prehistoric plant. Yeah, that's pretty cool. I could compensate you by fully funding your dig. This is a very unusual time for a further 3 years.
11:32 Hell yeah. That's three more years of of fat paychecks in our bank accounts. That's uh that's another flex. You son of a gun. I'm in. I can fund you for three years. No worries. And you can come stay on my island. Did I mention I have a private island? So, I hope you don't mind me helping myself to your very expensive champagne here. Okay, I'm getting sus vibes here, Dan. Early on. Okay. Yeah, early onset sus vibes from this guy. What gave it away? Just, you know, is it the creeping like this? Well, if he's trying to be inconspicuous, that's going to He just blew his cover right there. You shouldn't use my name. Dodson. We've
12:19 got Dodson here, so nobody cares. I recognize this guy's voice, right? And my mind is immediately going to Al from Al's toy barn or farm or something from Toy Story 2. Oh, that's quite specific. It might not be, though. is just similar. 750 on delivery 50,000 more for each viable embryo. How am I supposed to transport them? The bottom screw is open. It's cooled and compartmentalized inside. [ __ ] hell. Jeez. There's enough coolant inside for 36 hours. No. The the embryos have to be back here inside. He's having a great time. Oh, what is up with this guy? How are you planning to beat security? Well, I've got an 18minute window. 18 minutes
13:04 and your company catches up on 10 years of research. Don't get cheap on me, Dodson. You can pay for all this food I've just eaten. Oh man, I bet that water is so deep and I don't even like thinking about it. Like imagine like the helicopter goes down even just being over it. Yeah. So you two um dig up dig up dinosaurs. Oh my god. Is that Jeff Goblin? It is. What? Wow. Oh, it's a young Jeff Goblin as well. May I say you'll have to get used to Dr. Malcolm. He suffers from a deplorable excess of personality, especially for a mathematician. Chaotician. Actually, a chaotician is quite fun. Yeah. I think I'd like to be a chaotician. That's probably uh fair assessment of Jeff Goldblin. I think
13:51 you've heard you've heard of chaos theory. No. Strange attractors. Dr. Satler, I I refuse to believe that you aren't familiar with the concept of attraction. Oh. Oh. Oh. Is smooth with it done? Is he flirting? I think so. I think it's like scientistic flirting. Scientistic. I don't think that's a word. Listen to this glorious John Williams music. I was going to ask if it was John Williams. Yeah. It's just so recognizable, isn't it? Like even if you're not familiar with the score, it's just so Yeah, it's got his signature all over it. I think I recognize this music. I don't know. I must have heard it somewhere. It's pretty famous. Almost has a bit of like I know he obviously did some Harry
14:36 Potter, but Oh, it's so like that's what I was saying earlier. It's so recognizable in that way. Yeah. Here we go. Little off-roader now. Nice branded truck there. I think we're we're officially in the park now. Dan, keep your eyes peeled for a Pakistanosaurus. Just comes out of nowhere and side winds one of the cars. Knocks it sideways. You know what? Maybe this is a serious investigation of the stability of the island. Your investors are deeply concerned. 48 hours from now, if they're not convinced, I'm not convinced. In 48 hours, I'll be accepting your apology. Oh, he's confident. Oh, look at that bit of fire in his belly there, Dan. Slow down. [Music]
15:22 Oh, what's he looking at? What's he seeing? What's he seeing? What's this packosaurus? You know what? I think it might well be done. What? What? [Music] [ __ ] chores. Come on. Stop teasing me. Oh wow. Oh my god. Can you imagine seeing this [ __ ] That's a hell of a first dinosaur to see. What's that? A diploidosaurus? Is this some like a Is it like a a bronosaurus or something like that? It's It's a dinosaur. Yeah. I could have told you that much though, mate. Come on. I just like to acknowledge how good the CGI is. Yeah. I was considering I was about to say from the '9s, right? Yeah. This thing's got what? A 25 27 foot neck. Brachiosaur 30. Brachio. You
16:09 know what? Brachiosaur. I'll give myself that. I was close. Ah, he's showing off now, isn't he? Look at this. Oh, wow. That's showing off. That's unreal, by the way. How the [ __ ] have they done this? Have they brought it back? Right. How fast are they? Well, we clocked the T-Rex to 32 mph. You've got a Right. They've got a T-Rex. That's an awful idea. Wow. Why have they made Why have they made predators? Yeah, I would have not done that. Like, you said you've got a T-Rex. Uh-huh. Put your Put your head between your knees. I think he [ __ ] himself there. I did see that. I thought it looked a bit suspicious. I don't blame him to be honest. I probably would have done. Welcome to Jurassic Park.
16:55 [Music] [ __ ] They've got millions. Maybe not millions, but they've got tens. Dan, what are those ones? You know what? I can't remember. I only I'm going to call them slick necks. So, cuz they've got like a slick back thing going on. Yeah, that's kind of cool, isn't it? How'd you do this? I'll show you. Yeah, please show me. I'm stunned, by the way. I'm I mean, I'm not I mean, it's a movie, right? It's not real, but but but I am stunned. How the [ __ ] have they done this? The most advanced amusement park in the entire world. Oh man, I want to go to the Natural History Museum in London again now. Yeah, it's so cool there. So, what are you thinking? We're out of a job. Don't you mean extinct?
17:41 Nice. Playful. Keeping it topical there, Dan. Well, here I Hello, John. I've got lions here. How did I get here? First, I'll need a drop of blood. Oh, John, that hurt. Relax, John. It's all part of the miracle of cloning. Oh, he had a lot of fun making this, didn't he? Yeah, I would have had loads of fun doing this. Yeah, you'd be like this. This would be you. Hello, John. Where do you get a 100 million year old dinosaur blood? Uh, is it from We saw the mosquito at the beginning, right? With the pre with the prehistoric malaria. Yeah. And obviously dinosaur blood. Just one drop of your blood contains billions of strands of DNA, the building blocks of life. A DNA strand, like me, is a blueprint for building a living thing.
18:28 They're showing the scientists this. Yeah. Like, yeah, we got it. We got it. Yeah. We learned this in our first module at Paleo School. Thanks. 100 million years ago, there were mosquitoes just like today. They fed on the blood of animals. These mosquitoes must have been [ __ ] roided out to get through that dinosaur. I was I bet they're [ __ ] mass like birds probably like needles like that. Yeah, this fossilized tree said Oh, that's a big boy, is it? It is pretty big with the mosquito inside until Jurassic Park scientist came along. Well, imagine [ __ ] this up being the guy that did this. Using sophisticated techniques, they extract the preserved blood. Oh, going up the ass there, Dad. a suppository extraction then
19:17 full DNA strain contains three billion genetic codes. So did they get all the DNA for all these different dinosaurs from one mosquito? This is the thing I wondered. That must have been a busy mosquito. And he was not a picky eater either. Apparently not. I'll have a bit of you. I'll have a bit of you. Yeah, I fancy a bit a bit of Diplodocasosaurus today. I'm going to shove my nose inside that T-Rex for a bit of dessert. Dan. So, it's full of holes. We use the complete DNA of a frog to fill in the holes and complete the code. Oh, frog DNA. All right. So, they're like genetic engineering these uh dinosaurs, right? Yeah. I hope I hope that they've looked at the T-Rex and go, "That's a [ __ ] killer machine. We're going to just alter the DNA to take out its its killer
20:04 teeth and make it small like a miniature." Like, you know, we got like miniature poodles. Yeah, have like a miniature T-Rex. Just order that cord to like minus the size by 10 or something. Can we see the unfertilized eggs? Can't you stop these things? I'm sorry. It's a kind of a ride. Hands and legs to remain inside the car at all times, guys. Come on. We've all been to theme parks, right? It's turning the eggs. Oh, I think we're about to hatch here. Dan, what are we thinking? Pachythanosaurus. It just bashes the the egg open with its head. Please, please. Come on. Come on. Oh, hopefully it's not like a velociaptor or a T-Rex. That that
20:49 would be concerning. Well, it is a baby. Come on. Very good push. He's like, just give me a hand. Yeah, just get that little bit of shell. I can't. Come on, guys. Very good. Oh, yeah. That looks that's a that looks like a raptor to me. Yeah. I wonder how much of this was practical effects. I think it definitely is. I was about to mention I think it's just really cool when you see these like older practical effects. I love it because I feel like they did more practical effects and it looks better for it. I think so. I've been present for the best of every little creature on this island. Surely not the ones that have bred in the in the wild. Actually, they can't breed in the wild. Population control is one of our security precautions. Okay, so we have security precautions down. That's good. I would like I would like to see the full list that they've implemented because that's
21:36 got killer teeth in it then. Uh yeah. Yeah. All the animals in Jurassic Park are female. We've engineered them that way. Blood temperature seems like a high80s maybe. Uh 91. 91. Homeothermic. Mhm. It holds that temperature. Wait. So they they basically just like upgraded them. One could argue, right? I guess it holds its temperature. How do you know they're all female? John, the kind of control you're attempting is not possible. Listen, if there's one thing the history of evolution has taught us, it's that life will not be contained. Well, I think that's a a bit of foreshadowing right there, Dan. Breaks free. Huh? That's Yeah, that's the first big foreshadowing thing. You're implying that a group composed entirely of female animals will breed. No, I'm I'm simply saying that life finds a way. And you know what? Human era is a real thing. It's that whole idea of playing God,
22:23 isn't it? I think. Yeah. What species is this? It's a velociaptor. We bred raptors. But don't worry, they've got security precautions. Oh, he knows though. He knows how how smart they probably are, right? Yeah. Whoa, that sounded sick in my ears there, Dan. That was awesome. I got goose. Look at that. I got [ __ ] Ah, you Yeah, you really love dinosaurs, don't you? Yeah, I I Yeah, I do. They should all be destroyed. Robert Robert Mold, my game warden from Kenya. Did I mention I own a park in Kenya as well, by the way? What's the growth rate? They're lethal at 8 months. And I do mean lethal. As for a bip
23:09 cheater speed and they're astonishing jumpers. Yes. Yeah. Are these walls high enough then? Yeah. Astonishing, you say? They show extreme intelligence, even problem solving intelligence. They were testing the fences for weaknesses systematically. They remember they're like orcas but on land. Land orca. That sounds awful. By the way, orcas are scary as [ __ ] Yeah. Don't you see the danger in what you're doing here? Genetic power is the most awesome force the planet's ever seen, but you wield it like a a kid that's found his dad's gun. Yeah. You've just made killing mach like literal killing dinosaurs. Smart killing dinosaurs as well. Our scientists have done things which nobody's ever done before. Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think they should. Oh, that's a cool line. It is.
23:55 That's a really cool line there. Yeah. How can we stand in the light of discovery and and not act? These are aggressive living things that have no idea what century they're in, and they'll defend themselves violently if necessary. This is true, right? But but they've made security precautions, so we're safe. Dinosaurs and man, two species separated by 65 million years of evolution, just been suddenly thrown back into the mix together. How can we possibly have the slightest idea what to expect? I know what we can expect then. Death. Yeah. And destruction. Very likely. You're all meant to come down here and defend me against these characters, and the only one I've got on my side is the blood sucking lawyer. Thank you. Yeah. You're you're like that mosquito, mate. Betraying the only guy on his side. They
24:43 really shouldn't have uh done the the carnivorous ones though. I do think that was the biggest the biggest problem. Prefer the leaf eaters personally. Yeah, just pick the the chill ones, you know, like the big the oversized cows, you know, the prehistoric cows. Grandpa, kids. Look at these funky little jeeps. These are cool. Is it like uh like like those jeep safaris you get but with dinosaurs? I think so. These will be your transports for the afternoon. But they're electric. They run on this track in the middle of the roadway here. You know what? I think something might happen to these kids. Sudden kids introduced. Yeah, suddenly. And they're about to go out into the dinosaur uh realm. I don't know what to call it. Realm.
25:30 Yeah, I guess that works. Exhibit. [Music] Oh, he hates kids, doesn't he? Uh, I read your book. That's great. Do you think dinosaurs turn to birds? Do you think the kids are going to grow on him and that's going to be his like character development? Oh, maybe. And then he has like 10 kids and then he's like, "Ah, actually kids ain't so bad." And which car were you planning on? Whichever you're in. Yeah, there you go. Yeah. Ah, mate, sign his book for him. How could you not just be pleased by like this passionate kid that's interested in what you've written and worked on? This is huge. Like he'll come round. He'll come round. National Weather Service is tracking a tropical storm about 75 miles west of us. Maybe it will swing south like the last one. [ __ ] Is that a a hurricane,
26:16 Dan? I think so. Start the tour right now. Is that Samuel Jackson? Is it? I think it is. Wow. I just did not remember it in this movie. I need to see that. Welcome to Jurassic Park. Oh, [ __ ] it up. Oh, here we go, Dad. [ __ ] No, it's not good. Jack, time to see some Pakistanosaurus. Let's go. No, it's not good. There's a storm coming. Ah, you remember? Ah, yeah. That thing that they said 30 seconds ago. Yeah. If you look to the right, you will see a herd of Dilophosaurus. Dilophosaurus is actually poisonous, spitting its venom at its prey, causing blindness and eventually Oh, that's metal as [ __ ] isn't it?
27:02 Allowing the carnivore to eat at its leisure. And it's leisure. Say I got you now. Love you in an hour. Yeah. I love leisurely eating, by the way. It's like snacks, isn't it? I would say snacks are like leisure food, right? Okay. This thing can spit poison. Yeah. Are we in like Keep the windows open? Yeah. Can it Does the poison go through glass, Dan? We need to Have they tested this? Vehicle headlights are on and they're not responding. Those shouldn't be running off car batteries. Item 151 on today's glitch list. This is amazing. Jeff Goldblin, Samuel Jackson, right? David Art's brother. Dennis, the headlights. Yeah, I'll debug the program when they get back. Okay. It'll eat a lot of comput cycles. We'll
27:47 lose part of the system for a while. Yeah, man. You don't want to eat through those compute cycles. Yeah, that would be a nightmare. Go ahead, all of you. I'm approaching the Tyrannosaurus. Oh, as the storm's coming in. Fantastic. Look at this. Although to be honest, right, we've not even seen a dinosaur yet. It's too many plants everywhere. We've seen a couple. Yeah, but on the tour on the tour, we've not seen a single one. Yeah. All right. Is 10,000 volts enough to stop a T-Rex? They're [ __ ] massive. I wonder. Yeah. Oh, [ __ ] Poor goat, man. He's going to eat the goat. Excellent. Oh. Oh. Bit of a bloodthirsty kid there, D. Yeah. T-Rex doesn't want to be fed. He wants to hunt.
28:32 Oh, look. It's starting to rain down. Yeah. Subtle. See, the tyrannosaur doesn't obey any set patterns or park schedules. It's the essence of chaos. The short hand is the butterfly effect. A butterfly can flap its wings in peing in Central Park, you get rain instead, essential. How about a hurricane? Huh? Yeah, cuz there's one coming fast. Is that the butterflyy's fault in peing? Uh, yeah. Why not? Unpredictability. Oh, you can just walk out. Why do they lock the door? Look at this. See, nobody could have predicted that Dr. Grant would suddenly jump out of a moving vehicle. There's another example. How many times we needed locking mechanisms on the vehicle doors? That's That's like a pretty uh big emission of a security
29:19 precaution, right, that they've taken. Yeah, it's still in the like uh early stages, right? But you would have thought that that would be a simple solution. Yeah. All right. That guy's got that can for presumably smuggling something. I think he's going to try and smuggle out some dinosaurs and sell them, right? That's my That's my thoughts. Thoughts. Everybody stay here. Are we Okay, we're roaming, right? Yeah. Are we in the T-Rex bit? Oh, the triceratops. Okay, of course. Classic dinosaur. This
30:07 is a real classic piece of dinosaur right here. Look at that, mate. I tell you what, my mind would be [ __ ] blown if I saw this. Yeah, right. Also, another pretty awesome animatronic here. Like practical effect. Yeah. How good does that look? She was my favorite when I was a kid. Now I see she's the most pure thing I ever saw. Hold out for the Paky Sethosaurus, mate, because they're pretty cool. What are her symptoms? Imbalance, disorientation, labored breathing. It seems to happen about every 6 weeks or so. Oh [ __ ] Meanwhile, the triceratops is on the floor like [ __ ] I feel like [ __ ] Can you Can you get off, please? Please. I'm struggling. I feel sick as [ __ ] right now. Do you not hear my symptoms? Labor breathing. And you're on my lungs right now. Please. These are dilated. is pharmacological on local
30:53 plant life. Oh, she high right now. She bloodshot eyes. Is this West Indian lilac? Yes, we know they're toxic, but the animals don't eat them. She wouldn't be pregnant, right? Because she would just lay eggs. Is that like Yeah, like they said they're all female. I'm just thinking cuz Malcolm said like if she finds a way. I'm wondering. Yeah, there's only one way to be positive. I'd have to see the dinosaurs dropping. Oh jeez. How big are those? Are we Are we sifting through dinosaur [ __ ] already, mate? I bet they're massive. Like heavy. You know what I mean? That storm center hasn't dissipated or changed course. We're going to have to cut the tour short, I'm afraid. Are you sure we have to? It's not worth taking the chance, John. Yeah. You know what? Your grandkids are out on that tour. What do you Why are you taking the
31:38 risk? I Is this the [ __ ] [ __ ] hell. One big pile of [ __ ] You ain't kidding. Oh, Dante's elbow deep in it. She got gloves on. She's whised in no time. Okay, she's got gloves at least. Oh, that's that's Can you imagine the smell? There's no trace of liber. It's so odd, though. You will remember to wash your hands before you eat anything. Yeah, I'm like, "Yeah, can I get like a bleach bath, please?" Actually, that's a wild move, isn't it? Just picking up dino [ __ ] with your bare hands. I have to insist that we get moving. I'd like to stay with Dr. Harding and finish up with the trike. Sure. I'm in a gas powered Jeep. Man, it's so just want to keep saying like the the practical effects are so
32:24 well done, right? That's that was super impressive that one. It's like when we say with like Lord of the Rings, the fact that all the orcs and stuff were prosthetics and stuff instead of like with the Hobbit when it was all Yeah. CGI. It made a big difference. I think anybody want a soda or something? Cuz I'm I'm going up the machine. I thought maybe, you know, I get somebody something cuz I don't sweets and I think I'm going to get something salty. I thought maybe some I'm like, why are you being so suspicious, mate? You're acting very shifty, mate. Just should tell you that the system is going to be uh compiling for 18 to 20 minutes. So, some of the minor systems, they might go on and off for a while, but it's nothing to worry about. It's a simple thing. [Laughter] [ __ ] hell. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. He's executing a program. That's a That's a big red button, Dan. Yeah. And what does red
33:10 stand for? Danger. And also also blood. Yes. Yeah. Danger blip. Three, two, one. Oh, he timed that to perfection, didn't he? Oh, security systems are shutting down. He's aware systems would go offline, didn't he? Don't worry, Samuel Jackson's on the case. He'll sort him out. He'll sort this [ __ ] out. Man, that says cool, doesn't it? Look at that. Is that dry ice as well? Nice. Yeah, that's pretty sick. All right. What's he grabbing here? What's this? Is it an egg? Samples. Samples. Piss samples. Jack,
33:55 it's it's yellow like piss. Yeah, I can see that. Oh, he's [ __ ] hell. He's getting loads of them. So, they can make embryos. Okay. Yeah, close embryos. Piss. Yeah, kind of the same. Okay, Dan, it would appear the entire park is offline. Senses are failing all over the park. Find check the vending machines. Why is it Why is it that this fell Nedri was his name? Nedri. Why did he set off all of this security [ __ ] when they were all out on tour? It feels like a dick move. Did they need to do Did he need to do everything? But now he's like endering Jurassic Park. He's trying to like smuggle them out quickly. The raptor fences aren't
34:40 out, are they? Mate, I think everything's out. No, no, they're still on. Few. The killer turkeys are still locked up. Safe down. Or is he trying to grab the eggs? I don't know, man. He's got the samples, hasn't he? Sorry. There's no eggs cuz they're Yeah, they're all female. He's got the embryos. Is that Oppenheimer? I think it is. Access main program. Are we at some point going to have to drop an atomic bomb? on the island. [Music] You didn't say the magic word. Please. God damn it. Has he spent time setting this up? He must have. He's just sat at his desk and he's got to record those voiceover lines. They're like, "What are
35:27 you doing?" Oh, nothing. Just some security stuff. It's fine. Ooh, yummy rain water. Sharing rain water together. Bonding. Oh, did you hear that? What? Sounded like thunder. You feel that? Oh, no. No. It's the T-Rex. I don't think that was thunder. Oh, yeah. This would I You know what? I'm going to say I would have soiled myself quite heavily. [ __ ] pissed you. Yeah. Everything Everything's coming out at once. Oh, the goat. Oh, it's gone, Dan. Maybe it's gone for a walk and it chewed through the chain. Where's the goat?
36:17 [ __ ] [ __ ] hell. There's part of the goat, Dan. Yeah. There he goes. Okay. So, it's got teeth. They didn't genetically remove those. Yeah, unfortunately not. Oh, what a uh what an idiotic move. Where does he think he's going? Could these guys not feel the thudding? [ __ ] Oh my god. Oh my god. We got to run. No, but you remember that he said if you stay still, the T-Rex can't see you. Yeah, but it can smell your Dan. M we got to cover ourselves in like maybe T-Rex piss or something to mask
37:02 our smell. Dr. Settler's probably covering herself in [ __ ] right now, so she's safe. Boy, I hate being right all the time. [Music] Oh, right. Okay, we got tranquilizers or some or something. Yeah, but I think it's going to see that life. Ah, what are you doing? What are you doing? Turn the light off. I mean, it is two unsupervised kids. Oh, that was the worst idea. Oh no, he should have just left it. Oh my god, mate. What is our play here?
37:52 Okay, let's hope that bit of plastic will save us, eh? Funny enough, I think Ashley is saving their lives right now. What are the guys doing in the just watching? Yeah, but then to be fair, what can they do? I mean, yeah, if if he's on it. Oh jeez. Okay, this is traumatizing for the kids. Was it like Is it a frag grenade? What have we got there? Oh, it looked like a flare. Is he going to throw it or something? Ah, shame. [Music] Oh, that's a mean looking dinosaur. That what a shot that was. Oh, is this a big dog, Dan? He's just
38:38 playing fetch. Is it? Yeah. Oh, sick. He had him. You think you can outrun this, mate? He had him running away and now he's [ __ ] it. He didn't go for it that time. Chaos theory done. Uhoh. Oh, he's Oh, this guy's getting it. That's unfortunate. What the [ __ ] I didn't think anyone was going to die. I thought it was like a nice film. [ __ ] Don't move. Can't see us if we
39:24 don't move. Oh, the thing is they got good smell down. They'd be smelling my [ __ ] and piss right now. I'd be giving us away. Oh, that poor kid's getting spun around under there. Poor Timmy. What is it called? A lazy Susan, right? The thing on like dining tables that you spin. [Music] Oh sh I didn't realize that was there. Okay, this is uh going from bad to worse down. And it would appear that we're straddling uh something. Oh my god. Grab it. Oh my god. Oh my god. Come on. Come on,
40:10 Timmy. Timothy. Oh [ __ ] Is he in there? You know, as awful as it sounds, I hope he is in there because the dinos's got him. If not, [ __ ] He's turning the safety systems off. He doesn't want anybody to see what he's about to do. The key checks off. The computer didn't file the keystrokes. So, the only way to find them now is to go through the computer's lines of code one by one. Did you say there's 3 million? About two million. Yeah. Yeah. Can you do F and just like start searching for things? Robert, I I wonder if perhaps you would be good enough to take a guest jeep and bring back my grandchildren. Worst grandfather of the year, by the way. He's only just thinking about this now. I'm going with him. John, I can't get Jurassic Park back online without Dennis
40:55 Nedry. [Music] Meanwhile, Dennis here is speeding away. [ __ ] Nedri. Why have we trusted one single man for the uh computer security of this entire island? And to be honest, if he's written the code, I wouldn't put it past him to put a back door in. So even if they fire him, he could just get back in and wreak havoc. Oh [ __ ] Oh, it's a little water slide. Oh, that's fun. That's actually quite fun. I love I love water parks. I'd be going up for another round. Oh my god. I'd be [ __ ] myself right now walking through this place. Yeah. And a bright yellow coat, by the way. Yeah. What the [ __ ] is that? Uh I think it was
41:42 perhaps a gibbon of sorts there, Dan. A given, you say? Perhaps. Yes. Oh. Oh. Oh. Okay. Well, okay. Well, that's playful. You obviously know what it is. Let's run to the car. Got to go. Uh, don't turn your back on it. That feels like a terrible idea. Also doesn't look like a raptor. What is it? Oh, sorry. [ __ ] God. Get up those stairs right now, mate. You got about 10 seconds. Oh, he's [ __ ] isn't he? Hello. Hello. Right. Right. Stay. He's tall. Good boy. Girl. Oh, this one.
42:28 Oh, it's the spitty one. It's the poison one. Oh, I get in that water. I wash that off immediately. Yeah. Oh, [ __ ] He's blind. Oh, D. That's not good. That it looks like [ __ ] in his face. Oh, [ __ ] I'd be head in the water straight away. The embryos. That's good though. We don't want him to win. Oh. Oh, what a nightmare. Oh, yeah. Now it's going to eat him at its own leisure. Jack, that's like quite a leisurely activity. I hear it's like, you know, when you got like chips and dip. You know what I'm saying? That's like a leisurely food, right? His own poison is like the dip. Yeah. He's got his own self dip. He produces his own dip. Self dip.
43:15 Thanks. I'm going to look after you, but I have to go help you, brother. So, I want you to stay right here and wait for me. Hey, I'm going to leave you here, though. Just catch your breath. All right. In through your nose, out through your mouth. I'm I'm going to get your traumatized brother out of that car. 2 minutes. Okay. I'll be one sec. Yeah. I'm a doctor of bones and [ __ ] Old bones. I'm not I'm not a psych psych a therapist. All right, Timmy better be in there fully intact. You reckon he's got like three missing limbs? Uh, I reckon he might be physically intact, but he ain't walking away from this without any trauma, Dan. Tim, you okay? Didn't [ __ ] or piss himself apparently though, Jack. So, he did better than me.
44:01 Yeah, I'd have probably thrown up as well. One one of one for each orifice. You know, the hat trick, if you will. That's good. Oh, okay. I think we're good. Oh, actually. All right. Look at this. Look at that. I already thought that car was going to fall. I thought as soon as it was moving, it was going to like Yeah. [Music] Go. No time like the present. This is just like when Harry and Ron got the the car stuck in the wamping willow. You know what? It actually is a little bit right. Stay down, Tim. Stay down, Tim. Is that okay? We're back in the car
44:49 again. But we're on the floor. Out of the tree. Okay, that's what I'm saying. I think everyone's fine. Where's the other car? Where's the other car? Do you see the hole in the fence? I'll give you a clue, mate. The other car is completely untouched. Incredible. Oh, you put a tourniquet on, Ian. He's alive. Excellent news. Remind me to thank John for a lovely weekend. Kind of lucky that he got beat up and stayed still. Yeah, right. Probably saved his life. Can't help but think that humans are just the perfect little snack size for a T-Rex. Like a little nibble, a delicious little portion. Yeah, like a
45:34 like a moose bouch, if you will. Dan, an appetizer perhaps. The other car. Alan, they're not here. All right, come on. Let's start tracking. Huh? Yeah. Look at this. She's straight on it. No. [ __ ] Is it round two? Oh, [ __ ] It's round two. Okay, man. It's so ominous that shaking of the water. I'm saying Dan, we need to we need to like bottle up some T-Rex piss and just cover ourselves in it. It will mask our smell. You know, when it comes to survival, you're just all about piss, aren't you? Look, I'm just saying like you shouldn't be afraid to either drink piss if if required or douse yourself in piss if required. I'm not I'm not saying
46:21 we do it all the time. in situations like this. Oh, it's coming, Jack. Go faster. Oh, [ __ ] hell. It's so big. Which is unfortunately not what she said. Oh, wait. I think I've seen someone like this before. That's quite like a an iconic scene, right? Look out. I was really hoping he was going to like clothesline himself on that tree, but cuz he's so blind. Think they'll have that on the tour? Oh man, it makes me want to go to like Universal Studios and like go on all the rides and stuff. Yeah, it really does.
47:06 [ __ ] it. Go on. Let's go. Listen up here. I hate trees. They don't bother me. Oh, yeah. Well, you weren't in the last one. Yeah, that's fair. Add it to the trauma list for poet little Timmy. Poor T. Both of them. Really? They're both in that car originally. Hey, those are bronosauruses. I mean, a brachiosaurus. [Music] What the [ __ ] you say to me? Don't the monsters come over here? Not monsters necks. They're just animals. And these are herbivores. Yeah. Do they know that though? They only eat vegetables. But for you, I think they make an exception. She is a vegetarian, Jack. She's made of plant matter. This is true, right? You are what you eat. Oh, look at this. The man that hates
47:52 kids. What if the dinosaurs come back while we're all asleep? I'll stay awake all night. All night. No chance. [ __ ] It's Get a nap in the morning. Get nap in the safety. All right, I think that's fair. By the way, that pillar. Yeah. [ __ ] sick. Look at that. It's got a dinosaur skeleton. How badass is that? Such a cool little set. Yeah. By the way, set design for this. Amazing. Cool. Malcolm's okay for now. I gave him a shot of Morphe. Who better to get the children through Jurassic Park than a dinosaur expert? You [ __ ] shipped him off on the tour knowing that a storm was coming. Yeah. Having Ned was a mistake. That's obvious. We're overdependent on automation. I can see that now. Next time everything's correctable. Next
48:38 time. Oh yeah, that's the problem. He hasn't got the message yet, has he? It's all an illusion. When we have control again. You never had control. That's the illusion. Oh, [ __ ] spitting facts, mate. The only thing that matters now are the people we love. Oh. Oh. Oh, I thought I thought I couldn't see the depth. I thought it was about to eat the kids. Go away. It's okay. It's okay. It's Brachiosaur. It's a Vegosaurus likes Vegosaurus. Oh my god. I'd want to ride it, you know? I'd probably like I'd jump onto its neck. Fireman pole slide down. Yeah. And then just start like, you know, like [ __ ] cowboy styles. And then just sit on it. Yeah. It looks like
49:24 it has a little scratch behind the ear. Oh, it doesn't have any ears, does it? I assume it does. Holes. Maybe they holes. Kind of a big cow. It's like if a cow [ __ ] a giraffe, you know, a really big cow. Yeah. [ __ ] a massive giraffe. That's kind of what this is. Come on. Up here, girl. Come on. Up here. Oh [ __ ] Oh my god. That's [ __ ] rancid. That Oh my god. Do we have a [ __ ] tissue? That's That's awful. It's that bit on a lip that really grossed me out. Now I should never try anything new. Just sit in a room and never come out and play in her computer. I'm a hacker. You know, there's like bird flu and swine flu. Dinosaur flu down. That's going to really destroy us. Yeah, I reckon that's like next level. Oh [ __ ] They're laying eggs down.
50:10 They're laying eggs. Have they done that? Huh? Are they asexual now? What? What's What's happened here? I I just knew once they mentioned it, it was too obvious that that was where it was going. Yeah. Right. Like nature finds a way and all that. My grandpa said all the dinosaurs were girls. Amphibian DNA on the mixed frog. They used frog DNA to fill in the gene sequence gaps. They can frogs I think they can change their gender or their sex rather. Some West African frogs have been known to spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single sex environment. Wow, that's quite playful. Playful. I mean, literally because they wake up, they're like, I want to be a guy today. Too many girls around here. I want to be a guy. Or vice versa. I found a way. No, no,
50:58 no. That's crazy. Out of your mind. What the What is this shot? That's ridiculous. That is it. [ __ ] hell. Never seen Jeff Golem in this light before. We will never find the command that Medri used. He's covered his tracks far too well. Shutting down the system is the only way to wipe out everything that he did. Hold on to your butts. This is just a like a fancy way of doing Have you tried turning it off and on again? Pretty much. Yeah. And usually that always works. See that? It worked. Everything's still off. Well, maybe the shutdown trip the circuit breakers. All we have to do is turn them back on. Reboot a few systems in here. Telephones, security doors, half dozen others. But that sounds like a lot to do. Where are the breakers? Make sure the other end of the compound. 3 minutes. I can have power back. Other end of the compound. How far? How? Talk
51:44 to me. Meters. How many meters? He said 3 minutes. Visitor said it's just about a mile over that rise there. Just keep Whoa. I would [ __ ] myself. I'm sorry, Dan. What are those meat eatating measauruses? Oh. Oh, potenge. Potent, Dan. They're coming over. [ __ ] Uniform direction changes just like a flock of birds evading a predator. Oh [ __ ] Are they evading a predator? Thoughts? Where is the predator, please? Uh, it's probably it's probably on the way. Oh my god, they're fast. Why don't we ride them? Oh no, guys. You want to keep a lookout behind you. Oh yo, little side attack there. Oh, I bet the T-Rex is loving this. Wow, he wanted to hunt,
52:30 right? And now he can. She keep blowing. Follow me. How hungry is this T-Rex? Look how much blood. It's [ __ ] relentless. I wouldn't move. I wouldn't move. I'm sorry. I'd have to just be like, "Right, we're going to lay behind this tree for the next 9 hours." The way it does see is through movement. Remember, I'm going to go get the power back on. I'm going with you. Oh, what do we have here? Weapons or swords. All right, fantastic. I feel like we maybe should have had these in the car earlier on, but better late than never. I'm thinking this is nice. I feel I feel safe now. Now that we've got some shotguns down, a couple of shorties. Yeah, feeling better now. I think I can follow this and then talk you through it. You just take me through this step by step. I'm on channel two.
53:16 Nice. Channel two. More fun channels available, I'd say. Does it go up to channel 69? because that's what I would go on that. Yeah. If it's available, you pick that one, right? I think by default it take a while. You got to keep turning the dial, but it's worth it. It is worth it ultimately. Mhm. Yeah. Wait, wait. Huh? Please. Thought. That's the Velociraptor pen. Dan. Oh, that's the Velociraptor one. Oh [ __ ] All right. Yeah, of course they broke out. [ __ ] Okay. Um, what's our play here, Dan? I would like to know what our play is going to be. The shutdown must have turned off all the fences. just took his hat off for a second there just to get a bit of air. Just to put it back on. I can see the [ __ ] from here. We can
54:02 make it if we run. Right. Let's [ __ ] run then. Yeah. Yeah. There's raptors out here now. We can't. We're being hunted. God. The bush is straight ahead. Okay. Okay. Right. Actually, you know what? Fair play to this guy. I actually feel safe with this guy. He seems to know what he's doing. Run towards the shed. Did she take a gun as well? No, I don't think now. Oh, no. He said run. Oh, you closed that gate. You closed that gate right now. Amazing. Right. Where where's our friend? Friend. Friend. Shotgun. Friend, please.
54:49 Does that work? Because it's not grounded. Like would throwing a stick on it work? That's what I mean. Like cuz it's not grounded, maybe. No, it's not, Dan. It's not. It's not. Oh, he's [ __ ] [ __ ] full. He blown [ __ ] right off the the wall. If that was on 10,000, he'd be he'd be in the bushes about 20 m behind him. [Music] Right. Okay. Uh oh. [ __ ] I just realized what's happening, Dan. They're going to try and climb over to get away from the T-Rex. They're going to turn the power back on and get zapped. And they get [ __ ] zapped. 10,000 volts. Little Timmy's going to get zapped. I see the box. It says high voltage.
55:37 That sounds about right, you know. Oh [ __ ] You've got to pump up the primer handle in order to get the charge. One, two, three, four. Okay. Okay. Pump it. It's charged. There's a round green button which says push to close. Push to close. Okay. Oh no. Push to destroy to annihilate children on the fence. How? Oh [ __ ] Um, couldn't have timed that better. Oh, [ __ ] No, Timy's still on. Timmy again. He's had a rough time, this kid. The red buttons turn on the individual park systems. Switch them on.
56:22 Oh, you're about to zap your grandchild, mate. You know, you know what? Yeah. Just jump in. What do you reckon? He's going to absorb 10,000 volts. It's like a superhero origin story. Becomes Electric Man and then saves the entire island because he's because he's Palpatine and he can zap him with electric out of his fingertips. Unlimited power. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [Music] Oh, [ __ ] Oh, it actually happened. I did not expect that. Oh my god. He's He's such a small lad. Did he How could What's like the maximum vaults that a person can take? Like a big man like myself. How much could I take? [Music] Oh [ __ ]
57:09 How do you get in here, mate? Where's shotgun? Friend. Friend. How the [ __ ] did he actually get in here? It's super sneaky. Oh [ __ ] Oh no. Can you imagine how awful that would be? Oh, she's galloping there down like a like a horse. I used to run like that when I was a kid to pretend I was a horse like this in the playground. They were like, "Oh, there's freaky horsey Jack over there." And I'm like, "Anyone want to play horses with me?" It's funny cuz it's true. What the What is this?
57:55 A, it's the side attack. Hey there. Hey there, clever girl. Too slow. Oh no. Oh [ __ ] Yeah, there's no way he's coming back from that. Oh, and there was another one there just chilling. Look at that. Meanwhile, Timmy got [ __ ] Timmy got fried. Wow. Good boy. Wow. Good boy, man. As well. Like look, his his hero, his book author hero saved him. Yeah. Just just add that to the trauma list. By the way, yeah, right. I'm like, listen, Timmy, I was going to book you in with a therapist. I just talk about everything. Talk about how you're feeling. All right. We have to find the hours. We'll be back
58:42 soon. I promise. Sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but the way he's walking after just getting jolted like that is it's crazy. You know what? Help yourself, lad. You have earned this. All right. Eat whatever you want. God, grab yourself a piece of tisum, mate. It's me running up to people in the playground, then. Oh, jelly. Jell's like the most fun food, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Name name me a food that's more fun than jelly. It's about as wobbly as Timmy is right now. Oh [ __ ] What has she seen? Oh, can we Right, lads. Have a day off.
59:29 Yeah, dinosaurs, you're new to this new world, right? We have days off where we chill. Today is one of them. Oh. Oh, that's a cool shot. Yeah, little window there. Look. Hey. Hey, guys. Guys, make more noise, please. Did you lock the door, guys? Just the two raptors, right? You sure the third one's contained? Unless they figured out how to open doors. I don't think they need to figure out. They just [ __ ] blast their way through, don't they? Oh, they're so smart, though. Look at this. Isn't that cats that can open doors? Yeah, if cats can, then velociraptors can.
1:00:17 See, if it was a pythalosaurus stand, it would just [ __ ] it would like blast it way in with its head there. The door would be off the hinges. It would. Oh. Oh, that's that's a new one. He's calling. Oh, no. And it was immediately answered. Oh, he's like, "Lads, I found the kitchen." Oh, mate. What's our play? What? Right. How are we getting out of this? Look at those [ __ ] claws. Look at him tapping away. That was like an impatient tap, wasn't it? It was. Yeah, that's parallel. Oh, kids. Oh, kids.
1:01:07 Oh my god. Grab one of those spoons. I'd grab that ladle just as a last resort. All right. Oh, me. Right. This is a kitchen, right? Knives. Whoa, athletic. Showing off a bit. Timmy, I know you've just been hit with 10,000 volts, but you got to move, mate. Oh, look at this sisters. Oh, [ __ ] Saving. Oh no, the plan's not working. Oh, she's being seen. Oh no. Ah, nice. We love a mirror. I don't think that was intentional, but it
1:01:52 worked out really well. How embarrassing. Dinosaurs don't know mirrors. Oh my god. Oh, the poor kid. Oh my god. He just wanted a snack, Dan. He wanted to eat some food. Oh no. Get out. Get out, Timmy. Get out. Get out. Oh, is he in the freezer? [Music] Okay, that was one. Where's the other one? Oh, he's right here, D. He's right here. She She's right here. Hey, they're breeding now, Jack. That could be That could be male or female. Who knows? There. Actually, true. Yeah. Control room. Okay, we found the shotgun. Excellent
1:02:37 news. That's That's a relief. Yeah, we got to reboot the system first. How do you know how to do that? How do you know how to do that? Door locks. Ellie, boot up the door locks. He's like, "Hey, room for a little one in there." No, no, keep that handle up. Oh, for [ __ ] sake. Oh, he's dropped the gun. He's dropped the gun. Hey, Lex. Press some buttons, please. She's the hacker, right? He said earlier she just stays in a room on a computer. This might be the right one. This This isn't very fun. Hey, Tim, you're not doing anything. Pass up the gun, please. Yeah, right.
1:03:22 [Music] Oh, yes. Yes. System secure. I love the words system secured. Yes. Very convenient. They managed to close the door there just in time for the lock to slide in. It's like it's written done. Call the mainland. Tell them to send the damn helicopters. Going to come through the glass. [Music] Oh, the bullets look smaller than I thought they'd be, you know, in the glass. Were they bullet holes or or were they like the raptor piercing the the glass? Oh, it could well be actually. Oh, mate. These are athletic freaks. They're going to climb up there. And you remember how they can jump, right? They can jump pretty high. Yeah.
1:04:08 Oh, that's that's that's a cool shot. That's cool. Ah. Oh my god. She's surfing on the dinosaur band. That's pretty badass. Oh my god. Oh [ __ ] Oh my god. Pull her up immediately. Oh, you just can't get away from these, can you? I hate that. I hate that. Like the idea of like someone grabbing my leg or a dinosaur eating my leg. I think I like interchangeable there. [Music] Oh, they're [ __ ] everywhere. Hey. Hey, Grandpa. Listen. We're going to break your dinosaur skeleton. What do we do here? This is This is chaos. Malcolm, you'd be loving it right
1:04:53 now. You know, I think I think we grab a rib bone here, Dan. And then we brandish it like a weapon. Like a spear of sorts. You know what I'm saying? M get a bit get a bit stabby. Yeah. Yeah. All right. All right. Let's Let's keep moving. Mate, Timmy needs some R&R after this. You know, some real therapy. Okay. Okay. You know what? You know what? Is this it? I think if this is me, I'm accepting death at this point. I'm like, "All right, you win. You got me." Close your eyes, everybody. Let it happen. An absolute plot twist.
1:05:39 Surprise save from the T-Rex. Does that mean we're friends with the T-Rex now? Um, I don't know. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I think that's how it works. I don't want to wait to find out and ask it, though, so I think we just leave. That's a pretty bold heroic move from the other raptor there, though, by the way. Just jumping on the T-Rex, right? outmatched. He did it anyway. After careful consideration, I decided not to endorse your park. Oh, you know, he went out a hero, this guy. Yeah, that's actually cool. That's a great shot.
1:06:24 Meanwhile, Jeff Goblin still with the nips out here. Just being laid down looking sexy for about 45 minutes. Hey, get some SPF on me. I don't want to get [Music] sunburnt. Okay, we're just going to put a pin in this. We're just mindful that some dinosaurs are still roaming. Can T-Rexes swim with those little arms? I think they'd struggle. You know what though? All in all, a fun weekend. Yeah. Right. A weekend to remember. I'll put it that way. I'm like, John, listen. Am I still going to get those three years of funding thoughts? [Music]
1:07:12 Poor Timmy's gone into a cardiac arrest again. Don't blame him to be fair. Oh, look at him. Yo, I reckon Allan the kid hater. Look at him now. I reckon he's gonna have a couple of kids himself someday. How am I just finding out this is a Steven Spielberg? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I was going to say good job, Steven Spielberg. All right, give me your thoughts. You want my thoughts? Yeah. My thoughts are if I'm rating it, I would probably say two out of 10. Oh, really? Unfortunately, yet um some good parts, you know, the story line was fun. It was great. What was missing? The there was
1:07:58 like a severe and over overwhelming absence of the Pakisphilosaurus stand, right? Yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, that's true. And so for that reason alone, that's eight points off. Um so it would have been a 10. Would have been a 1010 if if it had the backlo. Yeah, I see. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um No, it was great. I really liked it. Yeah. I'm I'm so glad that they obviously went with some practical effects instead of trying to just uh Yeah. full VFX the whole thing. I think it's it's worth acknowledging cuz we haven't watched a lot of movies that are like sort of pre995, you know, Aliens. Aliens. Aliens was a big one, especially for the practical effects as well. And and you can call that out as well for having really cool practical effects. Um, I
1:08:45 think it's just something that uh you've just got really got to appreciate, you know. I think so. And the blend with the CGI in this one. I think like with the longevity as well, it really helps these movies last stand the test of time. Yeah. Like I said it earlier, but like Lord of the Rings did a lot of practical and a lot of like prosthetics and stuff and that looks it's what 25 years old. Yeah. 24 years old. And it still looks so good today. Absolutely. Like I was going to mention Lord of the Rings as well being another example of like blending CG with practical effects and like doing it really well. And I feel like Jurassic Park that was like 11 or 12 years before the first Lord of the Rings movie by the way. Did really well. How awesome is that? Like that's that's a standout as to how good the And the
1:09:30 scenes with the CGI Yeah. were actually I think phenomenal for the time. Yeah. like the blend that they used like for example with the raptors towards the end some of it was practical and then some of it was CG but you could almost like at times you you just barely notice the difference I thought and the other thing with these movies is like you see or at least most of us see like so much of the cuz it's such a cultural hit you see like the the like the art style you see like the logos around like in in these big theme parks and this and that. It's like it's so present in that way and it's so fun to watch the original movie and where it all started, you know, and like seeing the logo on the Jeep and all that kind of thing and like and we talked about the set design and stuff and like it's just so awesome to see like where it all
1:10:16 began. The set design I loved it. I don't know if I've enjoyed set design more. Oh wow. Really? I remember calling out in Alien. I think it was Alien which Alien had sick set design. Yeah. But yeah, you know what? It's going to be tough. There's there's a few other movies that I think are level pegging, but the set design on this loved it. Yeah. Like that scene when they're in like that hall and the the the skeletons for the dinosaurs were in embedded in the the pillars. Sick. Oh my god, what a great idea. But yeah, I the only thing I really remembered a little bit of was that scene in the kitchen when the raptors went in the kitchen. That's like a really famous scene, right? Okay. Yeah. And I remember the the raptor's head being in the window and then like them first walking in to the kitchen and
1:11:01 like it being super tense and stuff. There was there was one scene that I I I I called out saying, "Oh, this is this is famous." I think I said when he's chasing him in in the rearview mirror. Yeah. Because I'd seen it in Toy Story. Yeah. And they're being chased by Rex, I think. Ah, is it like a reference in the in the in one of the Toy Stoalls maybe or something? And then it's a reference and then people have said like, "Oh, that's like they call that Jurassic Park." Yeah. Nice. That's fun, man. You know what? I just wanna I want to go through all of these. Where does it go next though? Because I feel like obviously if they return to the island, the some dinosaurs are still going to be there, but if they want to make any more. Yeah. He still has the the mosquito in his cane, in his stick. That's true. So, they still have that. My my general guess would be that like the ambition of mankind would force if
