00 Allah's book is filled with many types of Scientific Miracles "And we covered the bones with flesh" (Surah Al-Muminun, verse 14) "That we have placed on the earth mountains standing firm" (Surah Al-Ghashiyah, verse 19) Three strange verses, and three others like them The Holy Quran, The miracle that keeps on giving! Scientific miracles in the Quran were, one day, one of my reasons for being attached to Islam, but after a long period of searching And an even longer period of thinking, scientific miracles turned into a reason for me to doubt the honesty of the Islamic Faith And today you'll learn why, Let's begin! In the beginning, I wrote an entire episode with responses to the most famous instances of "Scientific Miracles" The sheikhs come forward with their claims We come forward with the scientific discovery
46 And we compare both of them and so on But I noticed this wasn't the solution to this problem, instead it's only a cover-up! So instead, I decided to write an episode explaining why the concept of "Scientific Miracles" is a failure in the first place Three clear examples everyone can apply to confirm their correctness Number one, which is Cherrypicking and falsifying Number two which is the concept of the scientific miracle Number three which is the logical failure a "Scientific Miracle" preacher's video recently became popular on Facebook, where he says that modern science Discovered that the begining of the Universe started from smoke! and that this has been in the Quran for 1500 years! -His almighty saying: (Surah Fusillat, verse 11) "Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke" And we've said that the "Smoke" confirms that the origin of the universe is something fiery, and not a pool of water
32 So this Universe did not originate from water, like all the philosophies, religions, and theories thought during the time of the prophet's mission Instead the reason for the sky-orbits is the Smoke! and that's what's been scientifically confirmed, categorically! Here we have an amazing example of taking things out of context and changing meanings at the same time The brother claims that modern science has discovered that the Universe originated from Smoke And the Quran says: "Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke" and when Allah created the universe it was also smoke, so this is a scientific match! But he hid a small irrelevant detail from the viewer, which is the verse that comes before this verse, which clearly explains That Allah, before rising to the heavens 'While it was smoke' He had just gotten done with creating the Earth and 'determining its [creatures'] sustenance'
17 The verse says: "Say, 'Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds'" "And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days" Meaning he created the Earth in two days, and determined it's creatures' sustenenance in four days What did Allah do AFTER he finished creating the earth and determining it's creatures' sustenance? "THEN He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke" I don't want to be unfair, maybe the brother forgot to read the previous verse, but the problem is that he wasn't satisfied with forgetting The verses before or after it, but he even took the verse itself out of context! he didn't finish the verse itself, which says: "Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth "Come willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly" It's very strange for him to only take one part of the verse he's reading, Like if he forgot the verse before it or after it
06 We can just say that he simply forgot, but he took the verse itself out of context! Because it seems he knows that continuing the verse would Stab at the miracle he's brought fourth! these verses say that the Earth already existed before Allah rose to the heavens while it was smoke And this isn't present in the scientific discoveries! the scientific discoveries don't say that the universe didn't begin from the stage of smoke And the Earth already existed! this doesn't exist! and it seems he knows this So here's the concept of 'cherrypicking', picking a specific verse that matches with the ideas we're talking about Ignoring the previous verses, ignoring the coming verses! ignoring even the rest of the same verse! Just to extract this 'Scientific Miracle' because he knows that reading these verses would erase his claim of this 'miracle' he's talking about!
53 And now we move to the falsifying which is present in the word "Smoke" Which this preacher uses as a supposedly accurate scientific description for the cosmic dust During the first stages of the Universe or the hydrogenous gas And this just doesn't work, because the meaning of 'Smoke' in this verse is that when Allah Created the Earth in two days, and determined it's creatures' sustenenance in four days He created water on the Earth aswell, then this water evaporated and created the smoke, So Allah made this smoke the sky, and then he ruptured This smoke into seven heavens, this is the true meaning of "smoke" in this verse! But don't just take my word for it, and don't take the preachers word, take the good salaf (the pious predecessors) word for it Which say: "And then he rose to the heaven while it was smoke, and this smoke came from the evaporation of the water, when it evaportated"
39 So what happened to the smoke which the water evaporated? "Allah came, and made it one heaven" he brought the smoke and made it into one heaven "Then he ruptured it and made it seven heavens on the two days: "Thursday" and "Friday" And this explanation, in reality, completely matches with the verses that came after Allah told the Earth and sky (while it was Smoke) To 'Come willingly or by compulsion' It says: "And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command" What can be understood from this, clearly, Is that the writer of the Quran thinks that the Earth was created first, and that the water On the earth evaporated and made the smoke, and this smoke was the sky that Allah made into seven heavens And obviously this is scientifically worthless, even in the sources that this preacher brought So this World did not originate from water, like all the philosophies, religions, and theories thought during the time of the prophet's mission
29 Here the brother says- (Strange voice) Kosay! Go back! Why, brother? Just go back! So this World did not originate from water, like all the philosophies, religions, and theories thought during the time of the prophet's mission He says here- (Strange voice) Go back! this time in Slow motion! Why? (Strange voice) Just go back Fine So this World did not originate from water, from water, from water He says here that the old civilizations and philosophies were wrong when they said that water existed before the creation of the Earth and Heavens Or, Before the existence of the Universe, and Islam is innocent of this error according to him but luckily there's a verse in the Quran talking about what exactly existed before creating the Earth and heavens Or, before the existence of the universe unluckily for the preacher, there was water in this verse, water existed before the Earth and heavens
18 Exactly like the ancient civilizations and philosophies he objects to and considers wrong But it seems this brother hasn't reached this verse yet Spoiler alert, this verse I'm about to share, you might have not reached it yet in the Quran, so Spoiler alert The verse says (Surah Hud, verse 7): "And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His Throne had been upon water" He created the Heavens and Earth in 6 days and before that his throne was upon the water Meaning the water existed and Allah's throne existed before the creation of the Heavens and Earth We read the explanation that says (Ibn katheer's explanation): "He tell us, O Almighty, of his ability to do all things, and that he created the Heavens and the Earth in six days" "And that his throne was upon the water before that" And for those that don't like the explanations or think that these are my explanations, We read from Sahih al Bukhari (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3191): When the people gathered to ask Mohammed about this, They said: "We've come to ask you about this"
05 He (Mohammed) said: "Allah existed, and nothing else existed, And his throne was upon the water And he wrote everything in the Dhikr (Preserved tablet), and he created the Heavens and Earth" And these are basic Islamic facts, I'm not bringing anything new at all! So I don't know how this preacher doesn't know these things... So this World did not originate from water, like all the philosophies, religions, and theories thought during the time of the prophet's mission My dear video owner, Don't be embarassed of, or shy away from, the real facts present in your Religion Share the information complete and in a clear fashion man! And don't say the Quran said things it didn't say! because you know the fate of those that do so And if you want to come forth with scientific facts or scientific discoveries It's best if you explain to us how Allah talks And how this metaphysical entity has a throat, and how this metaphysical entity talks to the Earth and Heavens and says: Come!
54 And it seems they have ears to hear too! And there's air for the sound to propagate, please scientifically explain this to us! This is the concept of cherrypicking and falsifying, and it's not just limited to this preacher, they all do this! My brothers, Every time you hear a 'Scientific miracle' And you feel as though something weird is happening, they're using the same method, cherrypicking and falsifying All of them use the same method, and it's very easy, like it's a very easy job, anyone can do it! Pick a specific verse talking about anything in Nature, ignore what comes before and after this verse and the other verses that contradict it And ignore the rest of the verse itself, just take a small part of the Verse, look for a scientific discovery that sort of goes along with the verse Switch the meaning of the words, and there you go! A ready-made Scientific Miracle!
39 Now share the video! Share it to your target Audience base, which is ready to blindly believe anything as long as you begin the video Saying "Bismallah al rahman al Rahim" (In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate) And "assalamu alaikum" (Peace be upon you) And end the video with beautiful Quranic verses, they're ready to blindly believe anything! Because, as it seems, 'God wants it that way' (In Egyptian Dialect) The concept of a Scientific Miracle, is that there's scientific information in the Quran that nobody could've known 1500 years ago And we've only discovered it now with the advancement of humans and the sciences And the problem with this concept is Science itself, Science is strictly a method of induction, which is related to Human knowledge And Human Knowledge is limited, therefore Science doesn't come with claims of absolute truths or facts There's nothing such as an absolute fact in Science, Science begins with observation, Idea, hypothesis and theory
28 Theory is the highest thing in Science, and a theory is always liable to criticism, So science doesn't bring absolute truths Instead it tries to remove wrong answers and suggesting answers that might be correct According to observation, experimentation, repeating circumstances, clues and given facts This is Science and this is the problem, because my friend, when you tell me, in 2020 that Science discovered that the universe origniated from Smoke, and that the Quran also said that Allah started the Universe from smoke If we assume that that's correct, then what will you do in 2060 or 2070 when we discover That this scientific fact that the world began from smoke is actually incorrect? And that there are, evidentially, more accurate answers, what will you do then? The problem is that you're comparing the Quran, which is supposed to be made up of Absolute facts with Science, which is composed of only temporary facts by definition! Because it's related to Human Knowledge, do you see the problem here, my friend, this is the problem
16 If there really is a God, then this is the ultimate insult to this God's Knowledge! And in reality if the Quran had real scientific miracles, Muslims, throughout history and in our current age would have, if only once Discovered something literally from the Quran, they would've taken something just from the Quran But this has never happened, neither in the history of Islam nor in our current time, not even once, in fact, they wait for the discoveries And especially the Infidel western discoveries, and then they bring the verses and falsify them to go along with these discoveries 'The study was performed by George (Unintelligible) university' 'And when the Quranic text was discussed with the american oceanologist, Professor Hill' 'A remarkable scientist in the world of Human Embryology, his name is Keith Moore, A Canadian Scientist' Science doesn't falsify it's ideas to go along with the Quran or any other holy book at all
01 Because Science, unlike these books is a legitimate thing, it's something that works! so that's why we see the preachers say: "Science has proven the legitimacy of the Quran!" And they don't dare say: "The Quran has proven the legitimacy of Science!" Logical Failure, The final, and my personal favorite part of the Video The concept of Scientific Miracles is build on three logical fallacies: The first is the 'Begging the Question Fallacy' And this Fallacy goes back to the preachers themselves We notice, after they're done bringing forth their alleged 'Miracles', they always ask the same question: "How could Mohammed have known this?" They bring the Quranic verse, and the scientific discovery, the falsification and manipulation happens as we've seen today
47 Then they don't bring any proof that Mohammed really has had any communication with an entity outside the universe and so on They don't provide any proof for that, instead they choose a reply which begs the question for what they're trying to say Let's put this argument in a Logical construct so we can see how weak it is To begin, this Argument isn't good enough to be in a Logical construct Because it contains a question, and logical arguments, or logical constructs can't contain a question Instead they should only have statements or 'claims' Because we can verify the veracity of these claims by reaching the conclusion But the presence of a question doesn't only weaken the argument itself but the logical construct itself, no logical construct can contain a question But no harm, the Argument seems as follows: Point number one: The quran contains a verse which provides scientific information on how to fix global warming
33 Of course, Assuming this is true Number two: After scientific experimentation, it turns out this information is correct! Number three, which is the arguments sheikhs bring: How could Mohammed have known about these things? So the conclusion becomes, which is number four: So Mohammed definitely communicates with an Angel who brings him messages from outside the Universe! This is a false conclusion because the argument contains a logical fallacy called 'Begging the Question' This Fallacy occurs when we bring a claim then don't provide any evidence towards this claim Arrow pointing to text saying: (The quran is a book from the creator of the Universe) And instead of bringing evidence, we bring a question which assumes the correctness of our favorite answer! This is exactly what happens in this Fallacy The Idea that the Quran contains a true scientific fact which fixes the issue of Global Warming This doesn't tell me anything about the source of this fact, it doesn't tell me anything about where Mohammed got it
24 There could be thousands of ways Mohammed got it, I don't know which one it is, because there isn't proof for any of them But the preacher brothers pick only one answer which is that Mohammed is definitely communicating with an Angel Which brings him messages from outside the Universe, and instead of providing evidence for this claim They ask a question which assumes the correctness of their favorite claim They can't provide any evidence because there isn't any, instead they ask a question which begs the accuracy of their previous assumption Or their only option, which is that Mohammed must be communicating with an Angel bringing him messages from outside the Universe And this is a very great claim, It breaks the laws of nature, breaks the Ordinary and everything So there must be great proof to go along with this great claim, but there isn't any, they bring a false question only, which assumes
11 The accuracy of their previous answer The only honest answer is 'I don't know' I don't know how Mohammed got this information, and think about it, jumping to any conclusion without there being proof is an unjustified move We only jump to the conclusion they came with, which is their favorite claim, but they haven't brought any evidence, they only brought a question A question which assumes their favorite claim is accurate without any evidence! And you can try this with your friends, If a preacher comes to me and talks to me about Scientific Miracles And he asks me 'How could Mohammed have known this?' I'd answer: "I don't know how Mohammed could've known this, there are a thousand reasons for that, I don't know which one it is" He could answer: "No! There's only one reason!
57 And it's that this is a Prophet which communicates with God through an Angel which goes to and from the Universe to bring him verses and so on" At that point I'm forced to say: 'Excellent! Give me proof for this claim' And this is what they can't bring, They can only assume this favorite claim of theirs is true, but they can't provide any evidence Because there isn't any! or they wouldn't have begged their favorite answer (With a question) And obviously all this is built on the claim that there actually are Miracles in the quran, something which I don't agree with at all The other fallacy which is used to build the Idea of scientific miracles is called "Cherrypicking" It's very clear and doesn't need any explanation, Cherrypicking is when we bring a certain argument and only pick evidence in favor of it And ignore all the evidence or information that goes against it
45 Just like how sheikhs do! We always hear miracles like "The big bang is in the Quran!" Or "The stages of Embryo development are in the Quran" Which are all incorrect of course, but they falsify it to be correct And we never hear any talk of 'Scientific Miracles' about "The stars which stone devils" Or about how the earth is flat we never hear any talk of 'Scientific Miracles' about how 'Semen comes from between the backbone for men and from the chest for women' Yes, the Quran thinks women have sperm and not Ovum And even those who look for scientific miracles in Hadiths Why do we say a Hadith is incorrect before verifying it scientifically? The prophet said: "If one of you eats, He is not to clean his hand until he licks his hand or lets someone else lick it" (Source: Sahih Al-Bukhari 5456) Meaning you either have to lick your hands when you're done eating or you have to make someone else lick them!
30 Really amazing information, especially in the Age of Corona! (This video was made during the Time of Coronavirus) We never see anyone talking about 'Scientific Miracles' with these things, they pick the things which can be falsified And they ignore the things they can't falsify, they're scientific catastrophies! not scientific discoveries, this is "Cherrypicking" The last Fallacy, which is the "Non Sequitur Fallacy", It has many uses but to avoid complicating it we'll call it the "False conclusion Fallacy" To show this Fallacy, we have to start with being lenient with some things surrounding the concept of scientific miracles We have to assume that there really are real Scientific Miracles in the Quran Information no one was supposed to know at the time, and we've recently discovered, and the information (in the Quran) turned out to be true With this leniency, We'll see that even if there is real information in the Quran, we can't reach the conclusion that the Quran is from Allah
19 And that this is proof Islam is right, because a piece of Information being correct tells us nothing about the source of this information The only thing we know is that a piece of information is correct This doesn't tell us anything about the source of this information The source of the Information requires special or secondary evidence Let's put this in a Logical Construct so it's clearer If we assume that there're real Scientific Miracles in the Quran; Then the Logical Construct would look as follows: Point number one: Mohammed came with a scientific verse describing the cure for Coronavirus Number two: Mohammed claimed these verses were sent by Allah, the Creator of the Universe Number three here comes as follows: After experimentation, It turned out the verse really makes a cure for Coronavirus! Here we've verified the first claim, and it turns out the verse really contains a cure for Coronavirus
09 So the conclusion, which is number four becomes: Then the Quran really does come from the creator of the Universe, like Mohammed said This consturct might appear correct, and this conclusion might appear correct, but in truth, this conclusion is False Because the argument contains a logical fallacy called the "Non Sequitur Fallacy" Which occurs when we reach a conclusion that isn't related to the main points And this is exactly what happened with us in this Construct The mistake here is that we assumed the validity of the second point just because point number one turned out to be true after experimentation And we built the conclusion based on that, based on that point number two must be correct solely because number one turned out to be correct And this is incorrect, because point number one can be scientifically confirmed, and we can get a result from this experiment
58 Unlike point number two which can't be confirmed in the same way And of course, very simply, we can't suppose number two is correct just because number one was, Logically Finding out a fact is correct tells us nothing about the source of this fact Instead it only tells us of it's validity, the source remains anonymous, in other words Point number two still needs an external or secondary piece of evidence to be true, and for that, jumping to the conclusion Is just unjustified, or a false conclusion! It has nothing to do with the points, and this is exactly what Preachers try to force onto us, which is that as long as the first claim is correct Of course, It's not correct here because we're only assuming it is
46 As long as the first claim is correct, then all the other claims must be correct! And they must be proof of the conclusion we've brought And here's the Fallacy and failure of trying to prove the existence of a God or the validity of Islam using this argument We can apply this to any Book, not just the Quran, If we find a 5000 year old book Which has scientific claims which turn out to be valid after experimentation And it's also written that this book came from the Flying Spaghetti Monster The only justifiable claim we can reach is that we found a 5000 year old book which contains correct scientific information And also contains a claim which is unsubstantiated Which is that it's from the Flying Spaghetti Monster This claim requires evidence, and Begging the question to reach this conclusion simply isn't enough evidence
36 Saying: "Ok, If it's not from the Flying Spaghetti Monster then where did this Information come from?" I don't know! The answer is always 'I don't know' until sufficient evidence comes up which supports the claim It's very clear cut! It's that simple! And this is my response to the friends that ask me: "Kosay, How could you leave Islam while we have Scientific Mirackes! They say these tricks, or these "Miracles" are only used to strengthen the Faith, but in fact they're their only way of keeping This religion alive, after it's been proven scientifically, logically, and morally that there are issues in this religion Scientific Miracles are the last ditch effort to keep it alive! And they're not just for strengthening the Faith, and my dear viewers, don't believe me and don't believe them Today we talked about an objective method of evaluating this information, of evaluating scientific miracles
24 Now apply this mechanism whenever you hear of an instance of scientific miracles And if you reach the conclusion that it's a fake or real miracle, reach it yourself! Using your own research, don't wait for me or them, the mechanism is Objective, and you only need to think and use it And as usual, if you're in an Islamic society don't share this video because it might have negative effects on your social life Or family life, you can like the video, you can comment using a fake name, but be careful with sharing And if you liked this video, then love with your hearts but think with your minds, Peace!
