00 Heat up [Applause] [Music] [Applause] here. [Music] Hello BL lovers. Welcome back to my channel. It's that time of the month again when we will to go over the list of BL series to look forward to in September. While there aren't too many new releases lined up, they are quite reasonable ones that's supposed to be
46 groundbreaking. Before we dive in, let me know in the comments the ongoing BL series you think currently has the best pacing. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Without further ado, let's get started. Number one, The Wicked Game. I think this is what the fans should be looking out for the most because it honestly has the potentials. This upcoming BL looks like it's going to blend romance with power, family, politics, and a bit of danger. From what we've seen so far, it looks really promising, and I just hope it lives up to the expectations. The story follows Van, a police officer who takes on a side job guarding Fem, the youngest son of a wealthy hospital owner. On the hospital's opening day, an assassination attempt is made on Fee's life, but then steps in and saves him.
31 Impressed by his skills, Fee asks them to become his personal bodyguard, then is easygoing and straightforward. But as he spends more time with Feeme, he realizes their complete opposites. Fem is cold and calculating. But as more assassination attempts follow and then witnesses the toxic dynamics within Fe's family, he begins to see the pain and loneliness behind that tough exterior. Slowly then's warmth and humor begin to melt his icy walls. The Wicked Game is set to air in September and will have a total of 10 episodes. Number two, Lover Mermaid. This is a series I honestly thought had been silently cancelled and then suddenly it's set to air in September. I've been anticipating this one for years, and when production went completely quiet, it really broke my heart. So, I'm
18 genuinely relieved that my anticipation wasn't in vain. The story follows Fu Furit, a 28-year-old who moves from Bangkok to an island to help manage a sea themed bar called Full and a Half with his close friend Fana. Working at the same bar as Nawa, a merman orphan at the age of 25, Nawa is easygoing and charming, and his presence brings a unique fantasy twist to the series. Lover Mermaid is finally set to premiere on September 27th with a total of eight episodes. Number three, Love in the Moonlight. This one is interesting. There isn't an official English subtrail yet, but since I understand a bit of Thai, I can tell you the series is centered around an arranged marriage set against a backdrop of politics and family duty. From what I've gathered, it looks like one of
04 those stories where a gay man is forced into marriage to hide his true self. Something I actually find really compelling in BL's storytelling. The story takes place in 1995 after political changes in Srianken. Prince Senku of Nant is sent to Bangkok to marry Pinanong. A match arranged to help transfer the family's assets to Thailand. Pinanong isn't unhappy with this. She's had a crush on the prince since childhood, but her older brother Sea is suspicious of the arrangement. Known for teasing the prince, he eventually grows closer to Senku. As the prince opens up about his struggles with duty and marriage, the bond between him and Sea deepens into something completely unexpected. Love in the Moonlight is set to begin airing on September 15th with a total of 10 episodes.
49 Number four, The Cursed Love. This is a BL series slated to air sometime in September. The official trailer is already out, but there isn't an official synopsis yet. From watching the trailer, I'd assume the story follows a group of villagers who unlock a sealed place that had been locked away for decades out of curiosity. They disturb it, and in doing so, they unleash a curse that changes their lives forever. I'm not entirely sure how the curse will play out, but it seems to tie into themes of love and identity. It could even be a curse connected to them being gay or perhaps turning them into something they never expected. The details are still unclear, but from the stunt work and action glimpses in the trailer, it definitely looks like the series has potential. The Cursed Love is expected to premiere sometime in September, though the exact
35 release date and number of episodes haven't been confirmed yet. Number five, Mandate. If you remember the actor who played Pat in Stepbystep the series that highlighted a significant age gap, well, he's back again, and this time I think he's really going to shine with another age gap story dynamic. The concept of mandate revolves around politics, self- value, and the desire to truly be oneself. The plot looks like it has a lot of potential, and I'm definitely anticipating this one. The story follows Dr. Nong, the son of a village headman. He's deeply respected by the people for always helping them, earning their love and trust. Because of this, political parties are constantly trying to recruit him to run for office. Even his father has pushed him to join. But Dr. Nong has
20 always refused. His only desire is to be a good doctor. Meanwhile, Wei, the youngest son of a major political party leader, wants to prove himself to his father. He's determined to personally convince Dr. Nong to join his party. Despite repeated refusals, Wei doesn't give up. He keeps pursuing Dr. Nong. And along the way, their relationship grows closer. Everything changes when Dr. Nong's younger sister faces an unexpected crisis, forcing him to finally enter politics, and he chooses Wise party. What Dr. Nong doesn't know is that we himself was the mastermind behind a secret that could alter his determination forever. Mandate is set to air on September 12th and will have a total of eight episodes. I honestly think this is one to look out for. Number six, that summer. This is another
07 series to keep an eye on. I'm not expecting it to break new ground, but I do hope it at least delivers the basics or maybe even surprises us with more. From the looks of it, that summer is shaping up to have a light-hearted vibe. Though it could still turn out to be a bit more complicated than it first appears. The story follows Lava whose mother sends him to live with his young uncle by the beach where he's immediately put to work. One day, Lava discovers a man washed up on the shore. At the hospital, Dr. W diagnoses the stranger with amnesia and Lava's uncle volunteers him as the man's caretaker. Lava names him Wave and without hesitation reassigns all of his own chores to him. But Wave isn't exactly what he seems. He's surprisingly fussy and struggles with manual labor, hinting at a much more pampered past. The
53 mystery of who Wave really is adds an interesting layer to what might otherwise be a simple seaside love story that summer is set to air towards the end of September. And lastly, we have four destiny project. This is an anthology BL series with a total of eight episodes divided into four separate stories, meaning each story gets two episodes to shine. The stories included are The Last Night, Red Moon and Wine, Unin Heart, and Blood Fighter. The first part, The Last Night, is set to premiere on September 18 with the remaining stories to follow. Since each installment has such limited time to build its characters and plot, I think the biggest challenge for this project will be delivering something meaningful in such a short run. We don't know too much about the details yet, but
39 with a setup like this, I'm hoping that even if not all the stories hit the mark, at least a few of them will stand out at the very least. Let's hope it delivers the bare minimum for a quick but engaging watch. Aside from the upcoming premieres, there are also some ongoing BL series that will really be getting into the depth of their stories in September. Here are the ones I think are worth paying attention to. Number one, Beautiful Count. This one is still ongoing and so far it's been quite decent. The story is unfolding steadily and you can see where it's heading. Personally, it's one of my favorite ongoing BLS right now and I definitely recommend giving it a watch. Number two, Kami Jira. This one is on the scary side. Honestly, I stopped watching after the second episode
25 because my heart is too fragile. I'm a total overthinker, so watching it alone was out of the question. But the braver fans out there are giving it positive reviews, which means it's probably worth a try, just maybe with someone to watch it with. Number three, Shine. This series feels really on point, and it definitely carries a more mature adult vibe. The story is already digging deeper, and I honestly think this could end up being one of the best ongoing BLS of the year. In my opinion, it's already shaping up to be a masterpiece. Number four, My Magic Prophecy. This one is very comforting and beautifully presented. I'm still enjoying it as it goes along and I just hope it delivers all the way to the end. So far, it's been a really pleasant watch. Number five, Revamp. Revamp has already started
11 airing, and at the time of making this video, only one episode is out. Fans seem to have mixed reviews so far, but I think it's still too early to judge. Personally, I see potential in it, and I feel like it could turn into a good watch as the story unfolds. It might not be for everyone, but I'd recommend giving it a try. You never know. It could surprise you if you stick with it. And that's it for my list of upcoming and ongoing BL series to watch this September. Of course, there are other series coming out that I didn't mention here. So, if you know any, make sure to drop them in the comments so everyone can check them out, too. Thank you so much for watching. And as always, don't forget to like, share, and subscribe if you enjoyed this video. I'll see you in my next
