2:27 basically same movie same outcome one starts in the desert the other starts in the arctic yeah so so when we get started in connor it's just like my games what'd you think of this one uh i've been saying it pretty much before i started y'all [ __ ] up having me on this one i hate gen 5 i [ __ ] hate gen 5. and these movies just continued my frustration so so here's how i start i i text danny i'm like hey man i know i got to fill in which one do i watch he's like oh it doesn't matter they're both the same i'm like okay cool so uh i start one up i start a certain way and i think i started with zekrom so so why why because i was like i like zachary i'm more than restaurant sure great i think everybody restaurant shows up within the first three minutes i'm like pick the wrong

3:12 [ __ ] one so i start the other one so i start the other one restaurant sounds like arceus by the way that's all right so we start the other one where's david so i start the other one and uh and to my [ __ ] surprise we start in the arctic and i'm like wait a minute these are not the same so then i'm going back and forth i'm in a crisis which one's eventually landing on the decision i'll watch both so i pull them up on my two monitors at the same time do my best to sync them as the best i can and i start i'm like the echo is a little weird but it's fine i can deal with it i'm like oh this is different pokemon whatever until for some [ __ ] reason one of them desyncs

3:58 and i'm like wait a minute no they're both playing i didn't pause what the [ __ ] happened i look at the times i pokemon black was 21 seconds longer than the other one i don't know why i can't it pissed me off to know everybody you just had to copy and paste the [ __ ] movie and change some [ __ ] that's it why is it 21 seconds left their take are slower than i don't know is it because we need that extra footage of better take over [ __ ] it and then and then here's the best part so i stick to one of them i think i stick to the one with zack rum or whatever until i'm part way through and then it says someone else is watching i don't know who i unless losing last

4:44 night it was today probably it was probably doctor 18 so then i'm like so then i'm like okay i'll watch the other one which just kept pissing me off so now i'm just like i'm stuck watching the one that's [ __ ] longer yeah and now i'm just like this this whole thing's a mess pokemon [ __ ] gen 5 so bad that they can't even get the movies right i watch both at the same time and i tried syncing them and i couldn't so i just needed one and while i was like on a second delay i was like oh that's all right i'm just going to watch one screen really yeah so all right so that you said you both watch both yeah you watch black yeah i didn't get the time to watch the other all right i watched the uh victinian rushing round

5:31 because uh i'm the oddball that's the one yeah like russian ram is like leaves better than sex um i watched white i watched bits and pieces of black but i i took notes and paid attention to white because zechron is the cooler pokemon and even though reshoot gets more screen time zechariah is the hero in white so i watched that one because then i'm like reshiram's the bad guy so that's what i wanted um yeah so in talking about these movies i'm gonna like go through the synopsis as watching white so if you're in the context of watching

6:18 like but in my movie black is if it's flipped so anytime i say we were here in another movie we had this and like when reshiram did this in the other movie zekrom did it so it's it's back and forth so um we'll power through we got this or alternatively you go through the podcast anytime you say is that chrome you just do like a voiceover brushy rayon i think we just released two different versions i would actually just it'd be a lot of work but it would be really funny i just record this one as white and then i go back i just get an audio clip which is zekrom reshiram and then reuniques gotha tell me oh that changes yeah as well as amanda buzz and uh well yeah i know yeah the chinese i knew because i got to see something because i got kicked off one of the movies yeah so in

7:06 white i'm not mad at you i will say situation right away because i'll probably want to repeat this later today animation-wise it was good yes it's a very well-edited movie the cgi scene where they're flying around the castle until this point no movie has matched that yeah let's bring them that's it i'm done i'm done with these lots of drones that are shooting electricity and then brock this is okay yeah uh just figured i put it out so so it's the comment i'll bring it around at the end what john said there's just one other thing that redeems it for me and i'll save that for the end all right other than that everything i'll say will be let's start this i let's get into that synopsis welcome to the world of pokemon ash islands and iris that's right no more brock no more dawn

7:53 no may no misty we have iris probably the worst the worst set of ash's partners yes in any generation my first note is where's brock green brock's right here that's what i called him in my notes i don't want to learn his name you got left in the old song no because he's better great um so yeah they're walking down the street so this is something i didn't know until after the fact that i'm actually gonna pull those notes up because i think that it's not important i guess but it's nice so in this intro they come to a fork in the road and in white they go left in black they go right and then at the end of the movie they come to the same fork and they come from differing directions i think it's just fun to point out the differences in the movies even though they literally changed enough

8:41 but the difference yeah um i don't know why they chose this channel it's not one beam i think it ultimately came down to black and white probably had one of the weaker stories when it came to the i don't say the lore of the legendaries but truth and ideals is probably the most boring truth after you go from time to space it's very hard so here's the thing truth and ideals are so weird because it's like okay it's what you believe or what's actually there yeah and it's like so you're either insane and not paying attention to what's there or have no imagination these are two things so they should have done they should have done x and y region before this and it wouldn't work because then you would have gone to the whole extra sale and like look we can't fix gen five that

10:58 gen i don't even like it no one loves ash is bad like a trailer using pikachu in pokemon white he's battling throw in pokemon black he's battling suck that's cool um yeah also this week um anyway so yeah they're walking down the street they take one pass but then we just cut to some stranger in the desert living his life um in pokemon white he's walking with ryu nicholas and pokemon black he's rocking with got to tell you good job no no he's looking at kangaroos one week later oh man oh here it goes okay his pokedex entry says his pokedex is yellow that's not what matters hex race is a bipedal pokemon with dark yellow slash green

11:44 yellow and then it has to hyphen green so it will give us a definitive answer is this something is this the white gold blue yeah so what's the color of the what's the color of this pokemon um i don't know if this changed the movie i didn't i didn't see a note on it uh so as the stranger's walking through the desert he comes up against a blitzle with a broken leg yes that's the same in both movies no no no and the other movie is because the thing that that happens is it's like the mother and the child and like like they're going through snow and they find like they find like grass or like leaf things yeah they need to get their health up and then she and then the kids like mommy mommy she's like shh it's a bear

14:50 um so yeah then they go there uh damon goes to the people and he's like listen people the veil it's time to reclaim it the restaurant goes yes because that is where the truth lies and then just flies away that's not how it challenges it sounds like our [ __ ] yes that is where the truth lies you sound like mercies we're talking about search i heard like a very like like monotone your ideals match like it was just like as dry as you could get yeah the ideals your courage would be yes yeah yeah it's all [ __ ] either way the pokemon these pokemon maybe say like 15 words in this movie yeah it's not a lot they only talk like they come in they start throwing hands and then they say we could talk this out actually i forgot

17:55 two letters that's the name yeah so yeah mountain town there's a festival going on we might as well hang around while they're walking up to town they see a couple of deer lanes chilling on a ledge eating some berries one's dumbass and like it peeks into some little cave and victini goes peekaboo [ __ ] scares the deer like who like jumps back and almost falls off a cliff other dealings like i'll eat your ass grabs the tail and start pulling him back and while he's holding him up ash is like don't worry i'll save you because i'm the hero instead of being like well that's the circle of life rock had a line after this point yeah who did it uh maybe yeah i definitely made a note that said green brock's not as cool as normal brock honestly i don't think i have anything

19:25 deerling reaches out grabs it and he's like oh [ __ ] i lose my balance victim he's like oh no and like touches ash who now he's transferring his power which astronaut does a [ __ ] flying leap across the gate and lands on a ledge like [ __ ] i saved some deer well well you know one frog kick dude yeah oh wow and then tosses one yeah so he's like all right well hey crew oh i see a canyon here there's a breeze i'll meet you on the other side so ash pikachu of the deerling they head through this cave let's see if we can get anywhere uh ash enters this big open room kind of like the one from the car here with a bunch of beams connecting different walls um he's like i don't know where we're going and he goes like hello can anyone hear me and down below there's some big black ball that's just kind of like i think it's yeah he sees the black one at this point it starts like

20:12 pulsating it's like oh you mean the plasma grenade yeah at the bottom of the [ __ ] chief was just like shut the [ __ ] up i'm trying to sleep cortana's mad at me um double kill [Laughter] kill him in jar just hits ash yeah and this whole time victini's kind of falling around like ooh interesting i got him he like yells or echoes or something into ash's head which like tells him where the exit is so ash like falls oh wait no different thing so he like falls he finds the exit and ends up coming up some secret staircase comes out into the village he was in somebody's house i don't know who's but he was here um edges out and goes oh iris and

20:59 silence we ran into each other perfect uh just above them is the castle in town which is you know we call the sword of the veil which is you know it flew here one day because someone picked it up and flew it in the air and then ashka was like but how could a castle fly ash literally has seen like four flying castles and houses yeah simon goes like it's impossible to know the truth we don't know how it got here but legend has it uh so the gang stops to eat some macarons like here i got these little macarons you want to eat some if a team is like [ __ ] is that food i kind of want some snacks from ash's hand now she's like weird i thought i had food here i guess i don't find out it does it like two or three more times

21:45 some fireworks go off ash tries to run after it like to get out to the fun it just [ __ ] makes victini choke on a macaron like i'm gonna die pool's a cannot then let's roll but can you guys let that macaron melt in its throat i think it's the fun parts watching these movies and finding the the far cry ending or like something that happens if we could get a youtube series of like if the pokemon movies ended like if blank ended early it'd be like if the first movie ended early and find a moment where like ash runs into a wall and then just cut everything out and put the credits oh it's a stone scene they should never yeah from start up until the boat crashes on the way to new island

30:57 and then after he takes out dark right ladies has a very redeeming moment only for the next episode to be his uh ladies he turned into hershey's [ __ ] and natchez pikachu breaks the laws of physics and starts running through it like i swear to god like he not vote or was it volt taco yeah it was both tackle and he's like running through a leicester purge and for some reason he's staying here just yeah like nuke explosion literally i'm not making that up they they had a hype battle to go down the ash just gets his aspie all right cool um so yeah everyone gets a necklace if you lose you're out of the tournament whoever has your necklace at the end wins honestly i don't think they ever declared a winner nope because ash never lost but like you didn't turn anything in win yeah i i i initially thought that this was going to be some type of

31:45 pokemon battle royale yeah but then he started to talk to scragging and everyone was going crazy yeah so like how does this orchestrate i don't think they did a good job of explaining because the way they explain it was like it's a 1v1 no substitutions battle yeah and i was like so throughout this whole thing they can only use the one pokemon right yeah and then like you see yeah she's a different one i'm like what the [ __ ] yeah so each each battle is whatever pokemon you pick stays in which explains lately if they pick some interesting [ __ ] pokemon ash socks i'm just saying the one though the one girl she's just like go hi dragon listen she should just be which is she's shiny in the one movie who's getting there oh sorry uh yeah you're good so the music starts also i'm going to be a dragon master

32:31 throws out a mold gun there you go so the hype music starts which honestly as i heard this i was like as far as hype songs go kind of disappointing it started strong black and white i think has my least favorite quickly they should have just used the theme song so that's the one reading fact i like about the game is that black and white at least had good music yeah i actually i think it did enjoyed this intro more than arceus's with hair across this fight ooh i i did enjoy the fights i think the fights are great i just like the music playing like again this this game this has this for me this movie had the best effects so far yeah and so watching the fights was awesome yeah because you got to see that

34:04 we're both the pikachu but when it's like i can't really beat you won't switch out to whoever just collides also a lot of times a lot of times like amanda will use vault switch because pikachu didn't have lightning for the first like 30 episodes of the series he had thanksgiving yeah he had encountered cyclone where he absorbed all of his electric collars so he got clapped by uh snivy and the servon that you cut yeah just which brings in the question is that it's rigged he's fighting against the superior in the beginning of this movie and i was like i have problems with this i was gonna bring it up but i don't want to cut him off i was gonna wait until later because there's a better example yeah yeah bodies are superior but couldn't do it to snivy happens um next fight silence versus
