You're Praying for It...But You Won't Build It (Father's Day Message)

Brief Summary

This video emphasizes the importance of building and acting on one's God-given purpose, rather than waiting for the perfect moment or succumbing to comfort. It warns against the lie of "having time," advocating for intentional living and diligent work. The video stresses that faith requires action, and God blesses obedience and stewardship. It encourages viewers to overcome the fear of discomfort and pain, recognizing that these are essential for character development and fulfilling one's calling.

  • Time is a precious resource that should be used intentionally to pursue one's calling.
  • Building and working towards one's purpose is essential for receiving God's blessings.
  • Discomfort and challenges are necessary for character development and fulfilling one's calling.

The Lie of Time and the Trap of Comfort

The biggest lie is believing you have unlimited time, which leads to wasting it while waiting for the perfect moment. Every day is either a step towards or away from your divine calling, and time is finite. It's crucial to live with intention, not just hustle, but with a "holy hustle" guided by the Lord. Many people are stuck because they postpone what God has instructed them to build or start. Rest should restore and fuel the mission, not replace it. Joseph's journey, filled with betrayal and hardship, illustrates that preparation is necessary for the promise.

If You Don't Build It, It Won't Be Blessed

God can't bless what you won't even attempt. It's not enough to pray and fast; planning and following through are essential. Faith without works is dead. If you believe in a vision, act on it. God blesses obedience, stewardship, and purposeful action, not laziness. Noah's ark took decades of labor amidst mockery, but his obedience saved his family. Don't wait for things to worsen; start building now.

Comfort Is a Trap and Your Destiny Is Too Big for It

If you're called to great wealth but not building, it's selfish because purpose requires provision. Wealth funds vision, builds schools, feeds families, and creates opportunities. While not everyone is called to generate wealth the same way, those who are should use their resources to build. The question is not whether to pursue wealth like others, but what God is telling you to build. Building wealth isn't just hard work; it's holy work that will challenge you. Purpose pulls you out of your comfort zone because callings die in comfort.

Building Can Hurt, But It Can Also Heal

Building your dream is not easy; it can be lonely and confusing, filled with rejection and failure. However, regret is worse. Pain sharpens, humbles, and trains you. God builds your character to hold the weight of influence. Like those in Nehemiah, you must build with one hand and fight with the other, engaging in spiritual warfare.

You're Watching Other People's Dream While Ignoring Your Own

Be mindful of how you spend your energy. Watching others' storylines puts your own life on pause. This is your movie; you are the main character. Write the scenes, fight through the plot twists, and show up for the climax. No one will rescue you from doing the work; you are the hero of your story.

Delay Is Disobedience

Delay can forfeit your destiny. Disobedience includes not doing the right thing when God instructs you. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Saul lost everything due to delay and partial obedience. Each day you wait, the window of opportunity closes further. Don't let procrastination rob you of the promise.

You Have What People Need

You possess strengths, talents, experiences, and insights that others need. Package, build, offer, and present these to the world. Mindset, productivity, and spiritual foundation are the main barriers, not ability. Redeem the time and do something meaningful with your life.

Final Words

Pour out everything God has given you. Use every dream, vision, and gift without holding back. Your breakthrough benefits everyone connected to you, creating pathways for others. Embrace the pain, grind, and chaos. Start your podcast, record your video, make your offer, write your post or book, and launch your product, even if it's messy. Stop waiting, overthinking, and doubting. If God called you to build it, He will equip you to sustain it. Take the first step because God can't bless what you won't build. You're not too late; you're right on time if you move now. Build and don't stop until heaven says, "Well done."

0:00 Today is Father's Day, but this message isn't just for biological dads. It's for every man and woman God has called to build something great. There was a time where I didn't want to build, where I didn't want to work a certain venture. I didn't want to be uncomfortable. I was stepping into a business venture that could change my life, but it was unfamiliar and honestly, I didn't like the work. I wanted the success, but not specifically the struggle. And in prayer one day at church, I heard the Lord say, "This is your cross. You must build. You must build this to get to the next place. And you see, it's selfish to stay broke because you can't help anyone else. It takes a level of dying to yourself to build real wealth. And at the time, I thought I was waiting on God, but he was in fact waiting on me. I

0:46 expected blessings without utilizing the stepping stones. I wanted results without all the responsibility. I wanted everything quick fast. But if I have got everything right away, I would have taken it for granted. I wouldn't have had the character to carry the blessing. I had to learn how to build with humility, with patience, with discipline. Because without discipline, your influence will collapse under the weight of success. And I believe if you watch to the end of this video, you will never be the same again. Because God can't bless what you won't build. And you don't want to miss your destiny. So, let's get right into it. The lie of time and the trap of comfort. One of the biggest lies the enemy whispers is, "You've got time." It seems innocent, harmless, even comforting, but it's one of the most dangerous deceptions there

1:33 is. Because while you're believing you have time, you're wasting it. While you're waiting for the right moment, the right season, the perfect feeling, you're letting your destiny pass you by. Every day, you're either walking in the call of God put on your life or you're getting further away from it. And there's only so much time. And yes, God can redeem the time, but you only have so much time on this earth. And I'm not saying you should be in constant hustle mode, though I believe in hustling with the Lord. I call it holy hustle. I'm saying you need to live with intention. Most people are stuck not because they lack talent, but because they keep putting off the very thing that God told them to build or start. The Bible says, "A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come on you like a thief, and scarcity like an armed man." Proverbs 24:33 through34. Sometimes we

2:21 think we're resting, but what we're really doing is retreating. Rest isn't inactivity. Rest is restoration. It's meant to fuel the mission, not to replace it. So, Joseph had dreams, but they didn't fall into his lap. He went through betrayal, slavery, prison, and false accusations. His dream required seasons of preparation. And if you're not willing to go through the process, you'll never be ready for the promise. So now let's talk about if you don't build it, it won't be blessed. You can't ask God to breathe on something you won't even touch. We want God to bless our finances, our businesses, our ideas, but we don't want to do the work. We pray, we don't plan, we fast, we don't follow through. Faith without works isn't just weak. It's dead. In the same

3:06 way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:1 17, faith moves. Faith builds. Faith acts. If you really believe God gave you the vision, prove it by moving your feet. God doesn't bless laziness. He blesses obedience. He blesses stewardship. He blesses action that's aligned with purpose. Think about Noah. God told him to build an ark. That wasn't a casual weekend project. It took decades of labor. He was mocked, misunderstood, and isolated. But he built in spite of it. And because he built, he and his family were saved. Noah didn't wait for the rain to start building. He built before the storm came. And some of you are waiting for things to get worse before they get serious. Don't wait. Build now. Now, let's talk about comfort is a trap and your destiny is too big for it. Let's

3:52 keep it real. If God has called you to great wealth and you're not building, then yes, it's selfish. It's sin. Not because wealth is the goal, but because purpose needs provision. There's a reason God gives people the power to get wealth. Because wealth funds vision. It builds schools. It feeds families. It creates opportunities. But hear me, not everyone is called to generate wealth the same way. Some may be called to give greatly. Others may be called to endure suffering, persecution, even imprisonment. Just look at the apostles. Some were martyed, some were jailed, and some were resourced to fund the early church. But if you're not in that position or season, then we need to use what God has given us to build. There are different directives from God to each person as an individual. So the question isn't should I pursue wealth

4:38 like everyone else. question is what is he telling you to build? And I believe deeply again we are stepping into a wealth transfer. So as long as we continue to fast, pray and intercede for the nations. In the early church, they laid wealth at the apostles feet as they went house to house and broke bread. And I believe there's a time to build and a time to give as the spirit leads you. A good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children. Proverbs 13:22. You can't leave a legacy if you don't build one. You can't bless others if you haven't put in the work to create overflow. You think building wealth is about you? No, it's about what you're called to do with it. It's not just hard work. It's holy work. And yes, it's going to be uncomfortable at times. It's going to challenge you. But that's the point. Purpose will always pull you out of your comfort zone because comfort is

5:24 where callings go to die. Let's talk about building can hurt, but it can also heal. Let's stop pretending that building your dream is easy. It's not. It's lonely sometimes, confusing. You'll question yourself. You'll get rejected. You'll fail. But what's worse than any of that is regret. The pain of wondering what could have happened if you just kept going. Pain isn't your enemy. Comfort is. Pain sharpens you. It humbles you. It trains you. You think God's just trying to give you a platform. No. He's trying to build your character because your character is what holds the weight of influence. Without it, success will crush you. And the Bible says those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other. Nehemiah 4:17. You have to build with one hand and fight

6:10 with the other. That's real spiritual warfare. That's what building for the kingdom looks like. Now, let's talk about you're watching other people's dream while ignoring your own. Let's talk about television for a second. There's nothing wrong with a good movie with the family, and there's nothing wrong with an uplifting show, but you need to ask yourself, is this building me or distracting me? You only get so much energy in a day. Every time you spend hours watching someone else's storyline, you're putting your own life on pause. You're watching their dream, their vision, their success. But what about yours? This is your movie now. You are the main character. The pen is in your hand. You've got to write the scenes. You've got to fight through the plot twists. You've got to show up for the climax. Nobody's coming to rescue you from doing the work. You are the hero of this story. Start building it. Now, let's talk about delay's

6:55 disobedience. Here's something that shook me. You can forfeit your destiny by delay. We think disobedience is just doing the wrong thing. But it is also not doing the right thing when God told you to. To obey is better than sacrifice. 1st Samuel 15:22. Saul lost everything because he delayed. He partially obeyed. Every day you wait, the window closes a little more. Don't let procrastination rob you of the promise. And now let's talk about you have what people need. You've got strengths. You've got talents. You've got experiences and insight that other people are praying for. You've got to package it, build it, offer it, present it to the world. Mindset and productivity are the barriers for most people, not ability. And spiritual foundation. The world says relax. It

7:41 will happen when it happens. But the word says be very careful then how you live, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time. Ephesians 5:15-16. You don't get to waste your life. You were bought with a price. So, it's time to redeem the time and do something with it. So, we have to build or regret it. Here's what I know. I'm going to die on empty. Everything God gave me, I'm pouring out. Every dream, every vision, every gift, I'm using it. I'm not holding back. Not because it's easy, but because people are waiting on me to show up fully. Your breakthrough isn't just for you. It's for everyone connected to you. When you build, you create pathways for others to walk through. So, yes, I'll embrace the pain. I'll embrace the grind. I'll embrace the chaos. I'll fight to the death because it would be

8:28 selfish not to. So, start your first podcast, record the first video, make the first offer, write the first post, write the first book, launch the first product. Even if it's messy, even if you're nervous, even if you don't have it all figured out yet, just start. So, my final words, this is your wakeup call. Stop waiting. Stop overthinking. Stop doubting yourself. If God called you to build it, he'll equip you to sustain it. But you've got to take the first step because God can't bless what you won't build. You're not too late. You're right on time as long as you move now. Go build and don't stop until heaven says, "Well done." And that's it for this video.
