This Switch in the Play Store Is a Battery Killer. Turn It Off

For example, often we don't use our phone much, but it still gets hot, and the battery drains quickly, requiring constant charging. This happens because the Play Store has background processes that are constantly running, and many users don't need these features. That's why in today's video I'll show you features that will save your battery life even by up to two times. Welcome to my channel, and let's dive in. So, open your Play Store on your phone. After that, in the upper right hand corner of the screen, you can see your profile photo. Tap on it, then scroll down to Settings, and open it.

Here we see that many unnecessary notifications are enabled, and even if you don't receive any notifications from the Play Store, your phone is still constantly checking for them using the internet and your phone's resources. But for me, and probably for you too, notifications from the Play Store are completely unnecessary. All those ads, recommendations, and stuff like that. So, we're going to disable all of them. Just tap Turn off, and turn off all notifications. Further, tap back, tap back, and tap back to main page. After that, tap on your profile photo again, then scroll all the way down,

1:34 and open Settings again. But now select Network Preferences. And here you can see feature Auto Update Apps. Open it. You should to know that this feature drains your phone's battery the most. We all have a lot of apps on other phones. Some pre -installed, and other you have installed yourself. But if you have Auto Updates enabled, each app, and I remind you that phones often have 30, 50, or even more apps installed, is constantly checking for new updates and downloading them. This significantly drains your battery, and also uses a lot of data if you have mobile data updates enabled. If you want to significantly save battery, you should choose not to update. And after that, simply update apps manually.
