VanTrue E3 vs E360 Dashcam comparison

0:00 So someone suggested that I should make a video comparing the Vantrue N4 or N5 with the Vantrue E360. They are two completely different cameras. Obviously the 360 is 360. The Vantrue N series, the Nexus series has front facing and rear facing. I don't have that camera anymore, neither one of them. But I do have the Vantrue E3. which has also been disconnected or discontinued. So we'll do a quick run of these two different cameras. They both have cabins, they both have rear, and they both have front facing. I think that the rear facing camera on the E360

You'll notice there is a slight difference on the bottom. This says 5M CMOS sensor. This says 2M CMOS sensor. So they have improved the rear camera. Let's go take a look what it looks like. So that was just a quick little test of the Vantrue E3 with the Vantrue E360. They both have front facing cameras, rear facing cameras and cabin cameras. They have discontinued the E3, which is a real shame because I really like that camera. Though the Vantrue E2 is basically the same camera, just does not have a cabin facing camera. Now you can also just take the rear camera and mount it inside the cabin if you choose to do that. Then you lose your visibility at the back. I kind of feel that if you're a

4:40 rideshare driver, you might find the cabin camera really useful. But otherwise, if you're just using this for everyday commuting, the front camera and the back camera is all you need, really. That's why the E2 is quite a nice camera. The 360, I find, is a bit of a gimmick. And when you are using it, I noticed that Even though the E360 does have a really nice view, like a crisp view, when you zoom in and you're trying to get a look at the license plates, the E2, E3, I mean, that works pretty well. The back camera is not nearly as nice as the E360 rear camera, the five megapixel compared to the two megapixel.

5:29 So if getting license plates is important to you, you're going to, the E360 is going to be kind of useless to you unless you run it in a regular format, like not a fisheye format, for example, because you want to be acting like a regular dash cam. I like Veofo cameras. I like Thinkware. I mean, if you're buying a name brand dash cam, you're going to get a fairly competent product. Just make sure that you get a good micro SD card to go with it because you can't have one without the other.
