0:00 Poco F7 or the Icon Neo 10, which one should you buy? I know a lot of you guys are confused about this and it's understandable, too. These two phones are priced almost similarly. Both pack the same chipset and even feature the same camera sensor, which is confusing Pro Max. But don't worry, I have been doing all the testing on these phones. So, without wasting much time, let's get right to it. Okay, starting with the designs. Honestly, if I were just judging by the looks, I would give the edge to the Poco F7. especially this limited edition silver transparent variant that I have. It just looks more premium and eye-catching. Plus, Poco also wins in terms of the build quality. It's got a glass plus aluminum design versus all plastic on the IU Neo 10. On top of that, the PO F7 also comes with
0:46 Gorilla Glass 7 eye protection on both the front and the back, while IU only offers Scot Sensation glass protection on the screen. The Icon year 10 also has a basic IP65 rating, but with the Poco F7, we get a proper IP68 and IP69 rating, giving you a much better peace of mind. So, needless to say, you get a more robust and premium design on the Poco F7. However, there are actually two major flaws in the PO F7's design. Number one, this phone is a fingerprint magnet, and number two, it's not the most comfortable phone to hold for longer hours. It's wider and heavier than the IU Neo 10. I know Poco is also carrying 550 mAh of extra battery capacity, but still IU's plastic body and these rounded corners make it a more
1:33 snuggly phone to carry around. Also, one thing I've noticed while doing demanding tasks on the Poco F7 is that the aluminium frames on it tend to heat a bit quicker. U that's not entirely surprising though since aluminium is a good conductor of heat. So, it's natural to get warmer faster than plastic frame on the Icon Neo 10. Um, even while playing games, I have found that the Poco F7 heats a bit more than the Icon Neo 10. Both phones feature the same Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 chipset and some of the largest vapor chamber cooling systems on a phone. But if you look at this temperature graph, you will see that there is a noticeable difference in how they manage heat. In titles like PUBG and Genchin Impact, the temperature numbers are slightly higher in Poco. While in less demanding games like
2:19 Mobile Legends, the heating is about the same on both the devices. But the thing is, you will also get slightly better average FPS as well as 5% lows with the Poco F7 even though it does get warmer. So clearly Poco is pushing for better stability versus higher temperature. The PO F7 has also launched very recently and it has not received any updates yet. So maybe with future updates, the company will be able to stabilize the thermals more because once or twice the phone has shown me an overheating message like this. Anyway, since both of these phones feature a flat screen, playing games on them feels great. No accidental touches, nothing. Their touch response is also amazing. And both the Poco F7 and the Icon Neo 10 have extremely trimmed, slim bezels, too.
3:06 Now, if I absolutely have to nitpick, Poco's bezels are thin and even on all sides, but Aiku has a slightly larger chin. But then again, I am only nitpicking. Quality-wise, both these screens are also great for a mid-range phone. The thing with Poco and Xiaomi's high-end devices is that they always give you a proper 12bit panel with all the Dolby Vision, HDR10 Plus support, and everything. While with Iiku here, you're getting a fairly color accurate 10- bit display with HDR10 support. So, needless to say, when watching Dolby Vision content, whether locally or on Netflix, the PO S7 delivered a slightly more dynamic and immersive experience compared to the Icon Neo 10. But where the Icon Neo 10 shines is in the brightness department. Be it indoors,
3:51 outdoors, or while watching HDR content, ICU's display is slightly brighter thanks to its uh better high brightness and peak brightness numbers. I prefer the Icono 10 in terms of speakers, too. They are about 10% louder than Pocos and have better trebles as well. Um, in comparison, the Poco F7 speakers are not bad. They are balanced enough for a good listening experience, but IU just sounds fuller and louder. All right, moving on. I found both of these phones having a slightly different experience when it comes to the vibration feedback too. Uh IU's haptics feel a bit tighter while Pocos is a bit more loose but the impact while typing or ringing is about the same. So equal points to both in this regard. I would also give equal points to both when it comes to uh fluidity of
4:37 the UI and software optimization. In my experience, I almost never encountered any lag or stutter on either phone. In fact, thanks to the faster RAM and storage, both phones feel super snappy. Whether I'm installing games, launching apps, or just navigating through the UI. Now, to be fair, I'm not a huge fan of either Fontouch OS or Xiaomi's Hyper OS. I feel like both these Android skins need a complete revamp when it comes to the look and feel. And more importantly, both the companies need to get rid of the excess bloatware. But if I have to like absolutely have to choose, I think HyperOS has a bit more features like dynamic wallpapers and Xiaomi's UI animation feels a bit more swift as well. Not to forget, you're also getting an extra Europe OS updates on the PO F7
5:23 than on the Iconia 10. So arguably Poco offers a little extra in terms of the software experience. The Poco F7 also has a larger battery and hence provides slightly better endurance than the Icon 10. Uh, in my usage, I got like an hour of backup more from Poco, I would say. Although with an equally impressive 7,000 mAh battery, IU is not far behind either. Charging is definitely faster on IU 10, uh, you get a 120 watt charging support on it, which takes around 50 minutes to get the phone fully charged, while with the 90 watt charging support, the PO F7 takes about 10 to 15 minutes more. Okay, so which of these phones have better cameras then? Uh here, as I mentioned earlier, both of these phones
6:09 feature the same primary sensor, the 50 megap Sony IMX 882 along with an 8 megapixel ultra wide lens. On the front though, you're getting a 32 map sensor on IU versus 20 megapixel on Poco. And comparing the primary camera side by side, IU definitely produces a more vibrant output, while Poco like always is heavier on contrast. Likewise, Aiku's images are a bit on the cooler side versus Poco, which produces more warmth in the images, like 90% of the time. Honestly, I think color reproduction and color tone are subject to personal choice. But for me, 70% of the time, I'm leaning towards the more vibrant output from IKU. Although, in certain conditions, the color pop from IU is just too much. Plus, if you zoom in, the
6:54 details are clearer on Aiku in almost all of the instances, whether during daytime or nighttime. Uh, one thing I noticed is that a lot of times Poco's warmer colors look a bit pleasing during the night, and the color shift between the normal and the ultra wide images is also a little less on Poco than on. I like the portraits from Iiku, though. They are definitely more smoothened and beautified, but the skin tone for me looks more pleasing from it than from Pogo. Poco tends to boost certain colors. Like in this image, I was wearing a nude lipstick which I has represented correctly, but Poco has made it dark pink. Also, Poco tends to be a little inconsistent in terms of the skin tone. Sometimes it oversharpens and sometimes the shadow processing is not very good. I even shared some comparison
7:41 photos on social media from both these devices and looks like a lot of you guys agree with me. The ultra wide images are average on both phones though, at least in terms of the details. But then again, IU somehow manages to maintain better dynamic range and brightness in photos. The selfies, however, are clearly better from Poco. Unlike the portraits, the Poco F7 tends to manage shadows, contrast, and skin tone better than IU. But the one thing is IU lets you shoot decent 4K 30 fps selfie videos, which the PO F7 does not allow. Poco has a 1080p 60fps cap on selfie videos. So even though Poco's videos are not bad, IU beats it with a higher resolution. From the rare cameras, you can record up to 4K 60 fps videos from both the phones
8:26 and the output is quite quite similar. Uh you will notice a little bit of jerks if you shoot while moving from both the devices. Although if you ask me, scaling down to 4K 30 fps will give you the best videos without much jitter. Lastly, talking about a few extras, both these phones do feature the beloved IR blaster and they both have ind display optical fingerprint sensors too which are placed quite low for such large screen devices. And of course, there are features like AI summary, call translate and all on both like with any other device in 2025. Sadly, there is no eim support on either of them. Okay, so let's get down to the main question. Which is a better buy, the PO F7 or the Iconia 10? Um, if you consider the pricing, you get the base
9:12 12 plus 256GB variant of the Poco F7 for 32,000 rupees, while the same variant for the Icon Neo 10 goes for 35 to 36,000. And if you look at this chart right here, Poco wins major points in the performance, the design, and battery life, while IU does better in aspects like the cameras, the speakers, and the display. So, if you absolutely want a performance-centric phone where you do nothing but play games, the Poco F7 is for you. But if you want similar performance and also slightly better cameras and other nitty-gritty, the Icon U10 is a better pick for you.
