20:08 it's it is in the sense of the world there's no story followup to kiz at all if you're looking for that in the movie you're not going to be happy yeah it seems it's very much a movie you can watch without having seen ke better there's a lot of things that are improved if you've seen kyna if you've seen try they're not necessary this is a zero to movie like exactly what it says on the tin yes weirdly if you go into this movie without having seen kizuna you might actually have fewer questions yes uh it it's you have some you will have a couple so it's weird this isn't like an uncommon sequel thing especially in certain types of Japanese media where you get a sequel and just everything

26:23 from the Pasadena Regional event oh those are banned aren't they no no no there wasn't a problem with that they're not yet legal no one was trying to play with them they they understand I'm just pissed that I didn't get I showed up there at every screening not every screen the people who got the the packs there were 50 so if you had more than 50 people the theater which um unfortunately my theater did so I I got there like 15 minutes early and it was it was too late I got no cards oh no no and then like on like on various online like communities there people like oh I was only this R to my theater I got 50 packs and I'm like yeah the the one the ones that I've gotten messages about are people like look at this [ __ ] prick where it's someone who just has stacks of them in

27:08 like $20 for this card 15 for this card and the reason they're charging those prices as quickly as they can is most people aren't aware uh these are coming out again in December they're coming out again but these have a special foiling that actually looks really cool in person I thought I thought December was supposed to be the foiling also I I'm not I don't think people know for sure until it comes out I thought I thought they were to be identical in every way I may have misread that though um I got the kitty that's the only thing I care about yeah I I trade I we did a bunch of tradings it was like Elementary School all over again it was great I will say this these are the car these are the nicer O2 cards we've seen for the beginning there's been a few that have been kind of weird looking like but these ones are generally nicer looking I'm honestly confused cuz like I think

27:54 the cards they they're like three different versions and it's like it's hard to keep track of how this is happening it's also weird that all the kids have their kazuna outfits but just in one of the versions of the artwork I think some of them are the the you know uh so the these specific ones are the kazuna artwork minus they've modified them to match stuff from the new movie like they changed K's hair and they changed um something I don't remember what it was um I think something on Cody someone else noticed the hair thing and I started pulling up the art like a month ago I'm like huh they really did change that that is very strange cuz it's not like she wears that outfit in the movie

28:40 so yeah so the screenings were uh the seventh was dubbed eight was subbed still very weird like that's still like the thing I can't quite get over is just how quickly everything kind of came together so yeah surprised too yeah yeah I mean talking to people at this uh Digimon event this past weekend like people aren't you know as online as informed about Digimon media as we are like people are like this movie came out of nowhere like just I didn't know it was even coming and then a month later it was happening it's like okay yeah I I will say the weirdest thing and this is where like Digimon fans are by and large

31:01 it um so I guess we should start with I'm not saying that uh we should start just where starting with Bolero is not a shock for Digimon movie egg spinning we've seen this many times before okay sorry this is this is a bit of a tangent but I just want to complain about Bolero because H I've been watching a show called The Devil's plan on Netflix which is like a Korean um Game reality show but they have like a like instrument a guitar version Bolero they play in like little like emotional scenes and I I kept me like I feel like digimon's in the air and I don't know why to be oh yeah it ruins this Digimon ruins Bolero every other place you hear it except Futurama except Futurama because it sure ruined it for me in the Doctor Who

32:35 before this we get the screen of text typed out a little bit of playfulness regarding changing the number which I appreciate um I especially love that the director thought that this was like a big thing him and the producer on the same page he talks about an interview and you know telling the producer that he gets him because blah blah blah and he goes no that's just an accent on the number that has nothing to do with anything um big egg people taking selfies this kind of is an evolution of what we talked about three years ago where we're kind of close enough to the modern world where you can have people do modern things it's like it's kind of weird like having full self you know

33:22 people taking full selfies in a digimon thing and it being a roughly modern world yeah it was a it was a weird thing in in try that it was kind of a period piece because they weren't doing that yeah um noises pulsing energy shooting out of the egg I have to be honest when we started getting this I kind of went is it's supposed to be suggestive of the Aurora from kiz as far as I can tell the answer is no but it made me think of it which this movie really loves to make you think for Better or For Worse um and we'll get into never see a baseball bat the same way I'll be honest that's not what I was expecting for that

35:47 not changed in a very specific way that for me really matches 02 itself in the sense of it didn't feel like they were unaware of who they were like an adventure or try the O2 kids had issues that they work through and now it's sort of seeing that years later and that's consistent with 02 itself where most of the characters were pretty okay with who they are 02 isn't a series that's particularly known for character growth across the Spectrum like you have you have like major plot arcs for Ken but everyone else kind of grows a little bit but kind of it's more about their inter with each other that Define Z2 and they they do keep that
