0:07 up in prayer this evening before we start with preparation for ministry. So just join with me as I pray. Alhamdulillah. Hindi hindi hre zah.

0:53 deham. for day shi

1:45 ziki hind. Father God, I thank you this evening, Lord, that we can just come before you, Father. I thank you, Lord, that you would do great and mighty works, Father. I thank you, Father, that we can give you just all the glory and all the honor, Father. And I thank you, Lord, that even as we go into this evening session, Father, that we would just see your kingdom come and your glory done in the mighty name of Jesus. And everybody said, "Amen." And amen. So I know that there is massive power outages in Ptoria. So if you can't put your cameras on, I totally understand. I had to come back to the office to be able to teach this evening. Um but it is all good. God is still going to move. So I'm going to

2:32 get ready to play uh two separate sessions for you. And well, it's this week and one more week left and then you're in your final term. So let's keep going at it. All right. I'm going to get ready to shave. >> I gave you three things about a wife last night. You remember them? >> About a about getting a wife. >> Three things. I told you three things to find if you want to really marry the right one. What are they? >> First one is good soil. >> Good soil. Good background. You got it. Write these down. K. Hey, kids. You're going to have I'm I'm going to help you. Help some of you young guys. The kind of wife that understands the call of God must come from good soil, meaning a godly family.

3:19 >> Don't ever marry a girl who comes from a messy family. You're going to have a messy future with her. Make sure she comes from good soil, meaning a godly upbringing. >> Number one. Number two, what was what? >> A godly mother. Godly mother is the key. Second key because the girl will become like her mother. That's a fact of life, brother. If you don't like her mother, don't touch the girl cuz she'll be just like her mother down the road. What do you mean, oh Lord, help him? I'm giving him good material, brother. What are you talking about? He's praying for me. Oh Lord, help him. I don't need your help, Mr. Brock.

4:06 the people want. Do you want this or not? >> No. Make sure she got she comes from godly soil, meaning a godly heritage. And make sure she has a godly mother. Number three, what else did I give you? >> Check the heritage on both sides of the of the >> Aha. Make sure the heritage on both sides of the family, the daddy and the mommy, the grandparents is rich in the Lord. >> Amen. >> You have those three, most times you'll win. And you see, no true Christian woman will ever rebel against a husband who really loves her. It says, "Love your wife as Christ loved the church." >> Yes. >> Well, if you love your wife like that, she'll gladly submit to you. And

4:52 submission doesn't mean rule me. >> I'm your slave. >> I'll you can wipe your feet on my head. It doesn't mean that. Submission means I submit your authority to protect me. >> That's it. >> It's for protection. >> When a woman says to her husband, I submit your authority, she submits because he adores her. >> She submits because he loves her. And she submits that he might protect her, not destroy her. How many understand? Put your hands up high. How many ladies, how many of you ladies would love to submit to a man who adores you or protect you day and night and take care of you 24 hours a day and never once say anything mean to you.

5:41 Gladly you'll submit cuz you'll submit not that he can rule you. You'll submit so he might protect you. You become his baby, his girlfriend. That the best friend he has got in the world is his wife. Come on. That's the way it is. says confidant. Exactly. That's what the Bible teaches. But in some cases today, you you you don't see that. I'm talking to this kid about the call of God. And I said, make sure your wife comes from godly soil, godly mother, godly heritage on both sides. Then you'll have no trouble. But at the same time, I said, make sure she is as called as you are to serve Bonnke. Or otherwise, you're going to have trouble. Now, the servants test is is God is and you're going through it now.

6:26 God is going to is is going to test your limit in serving a man of God. Men of God are unpredictable. Number one. Number two, write this down. If you were going to work with a with a preacher, you might as well know that. Number two, men of God sometimes will pull away from you. They pull away because of pressure on their life. They pull away because God is calling them to pull away. Like Elijah pulled away from his servant. He left him in Beashea to go down to Horeb. And and so

7:13 you got to be a support. Your your job is to support that man of God. No matter what is going through with him, you're to support him. And that's what the servants here. Sit down here. This is what the servants test is all about. God is going to is going to put you in a place to see how will he serve. Is he willing to serve the man when the man is not pleasant to serve? I tell my guys, there is a man of God and there's the man. The man of God is very easy to serve because he's the guy who's on the platform singing hallelujah, wearing a white suit. That's marvelous. But the man who's not the white suit, who's not on the platform, who takes a

8:00 walk on the beach like you sometimes walk with Bonnke because he lives in Florida. uh that man can can be extremely difficult at times. When we're in the crowds, we're okay. When we're alone, we're in trouble because the most difficult thing for a man of God is when he's not with the with with his people, when he's not with his family. He's by himself. And and and there are there are troubles, struggles in his own heart and mind. I woke up uh just recently. I prayed, had a marvelous time. I was singing in the spirit, loving the Lord, and the phone rang. And when the phone rang, I was given news that destroyed, nearly destroyed everything that happened that morning in prayer. And and thank God that prayer

8:45 can keep you. But when these things hit you from nowhere, it's very difficult to know how to handle it. I'm in Cyprus ready for a crusade. When I get the news, I'm being investigated by the US Senate. Now you tell me, can prayer help? Of course. But I needed at that time someone to say, I'm believing God with you. You need support when when you hear that the Senate of the US is is investigating your life and you're going to wonder if you're going to survive this thing that that these things hit you out of nowhere. So what do you do? Not only can you look, it's important to know Jesus, but it's important to also have people like a Caleb and a Joshua that hold your

9:32 hand in battle. How many understand? Put your hands way way up high. Moses knew God, but he needed the Calebs and the Joshua. Jesus in his moment needed Peter, James, John in the garden. Come on. Even the son of God had to go through that. So that's what what what he'll go through. He may go through go through a Gethsemane. He may go through a battle with Amalecch. He may go through battles he'll never talk to you about because he can't. At such times, it is important for that man to go beyond the limit to serve that man. I mean serve that man. And that man during battles become extremely he becomes fragile. He becomes sensitive. He becomes uh uh

10:18 unpredictable. Uh he can be easily damaged because his strength is his weakness. At such times it is important for that man to go beyond the limit to serve that man. I mean serve that man. And that man during battles become extremely he becomes fragile. He becomes sensitive. He becomes uh uh unpredictable. He can be easily damaged because his

11:04 strength is his weakness. His weakness is his strength under the anointing. You missed what I said. Shall I say that again? >> Yeah. What makes you surrender to God? Your sensitivity to God allows the anointing to come on you. That same sensitivity is a liability outside the anointing. Did you hear that? Cuz that same sensitivity that brings the the anointing on you can literally destroy you away from the anointing. >> Because suddenly you're you're you're open to other things besides the anointing because you're see God uses the same person the same personality. So your sensitivity is your asset under the anointing and liability away from it. This is where you need to protect

11:50 the man of God from that liability. >> That's I just gave you a key. Don't miss it. Don't miss it. Don't miss it because that sensitivity makes him very vulnerable, makes him he can be attacked very easily. uh he can turn against himself very easily. Paul the apostle made an amazing statement, Andrew. And it was one of the one of the most painful cries in the Bible. All men have forsaken me. He said, boy, that's that's tear your heart if you really look at it because he's in prison with no support. And then he makes this statement. He said in Philippians, he said, "No man like

12:37 Timothy is likeminded." That word likeminded is like sold. In other words, he and I have the same soul. Timothy was his only strength in times of difficulty. You're a Timothy Tuboni. Sometimes people walk away from you when you're going through a problem and this is the time they got to have someone right there. So God will put you through the servants test and test your limit. He will the man of God will pull on every ounce of strength in you to stay strong in in in in such times. So, I'm in the car in Cyprus.

13:26 I'm on the cell phone when I hear I'm under investigation by the US Senate. The next day, I have a miracle service. I'm thinking, my God, how can I minister tomorrow with this news? Thank God my brother Henry was right there. You know what Henry did? He grabbed my hand like this. He said, "Benny, I'm with you. You talk about strength. All you need is that guy to say, "I'm here." >> It's instant strength. >> And then he looked at me. He said, "Tomorrow will be a glorious service. Don't let these things bother you." You got to hear it from somebody. What if Henry wasn't there?

14:11 What if my own brother didn't grab my hand to say, "Hold on. We're not going to fail with this one." Brother, it gives you energy. It gives you strength. God will test that in you. That's what a servant is supposed to do. >> Are you listening? >> God is going to test your servants's ability because most people don't want to serve. All right. Number four. I gave it to you last night. Wilderness. You'll go through the wilderness. Why? What is the wilderness? The wilderness is the place of temptation. You'll be you'll be tempted. God will test you to the limit with temptation.

15:00 Temptations develop our sensitivity to the spirit of God. Say what? I'll say it again. When you are tempted, I'll use Andrew again. I hope I'm not embarrassing you. God will allow you to be tempted in in in in areas you've not been been tempted in before because when you are called like this, the devil will target you and and there'll be there'll be temptations come at you cuz you're single. You're with a man of God all the time. You see his flaws like most people don't.

15:48 You see his ups and downs. You see his trials. There'll be temptations that may come at you where it happens. It's happened before. And God will watch what you do with that. Temptations will come at you of h boy, he sure needs me, doesn't he? H I am more important to him than his family. H I can write a book one day about that. Make money. These thoughts may hit your mind. You say, "Well, never." No, no. You're flesh and blood. The devil will throw things at you and he'll watch. God will watch how you handle all that. Now, a true called man will say, "Get behind me, devil." True man of God will reject

16:34 these thoughts and temptations. people even will come and and and try to get information out of you >> because you're the closest thing to him >> that's what God will test. But when you submit to the Lord, you you you immediately become and I'm going to say this, you develop a radar for the Holy Ghost because as these things die in you, because you said no, as these things die in you, a a a an amazing um Holy Spirit radar comes into your being where you begin to

17:20 learn the ways of the spirit. God puts us through the wilderness to teach us the ways of the spirit. And when that happens, I it's you're going to go through it for a time. A lot of people fail in that area. They can pass the time test, the word test, the servants test. When it comes to that one test of wilderness, they just blow it because it's too strong. and that God will test in your life. Now, I'm I'm showing you the steps to the place where God will choose you for your own ministry. Number five, God will then allow you

18:06 to go through another place that I didn't deal with last night. You may be in by now three years, four years, five, six, seven, maybe even 10 years. By now, you're already in that called season. You're serving the man of God and such things like that. And and you you will begin to question when is my time coming? I've served this man for the last 10 years of my life. I've been faithful. I've been steady. I've been steadfast. I've been there for him. I've given up family. I've given up my time with my children. I've given up Thanksgivings and I've given up Christmases and I've given up blah blah blah blah blah. And suddenly what hits them is

18:53 I've given so much up for that man. What do I get back for it? That season is called patience. You must prove you're a patient man. Prove it to God. You're going to wait till your time comes. This is not your time. This is his time. As long as he's ministering, it's not your time yet. All right. So, next week we will conclude um that which Pastor Benny Hinn has been sharing over the last couple of weeks.

19:39 And I'm going to jump straight into the notes this evening. So when it comes to preparation, you know, as far as preparing for ministry, um I have explained to you, you know, it's not the called. God will qualify along the way. Um you know, have a heart for people. But one of the things why God calls us is actually to connect with his church. And so that's an important thing to realize that when God calls us, he calls us to connect with his church. Um, as you think of ministry, as you try to to recognize and see and understand what ministry is all about, you cannot take it away from the church. You cannot

20:25 exclude it from the church. You cannot, you know, it's not one without the other. It's not ministry without the church or the church without ministry. They kind of go hand in hand and that's not just the local church but even the universal church. So the universal church is speaking globally to all Christians. You know some people say that they're a Christian or you know up and cominging elections on its way and all of a sudden they're a believer of God. But I'm not sure which god they're in a believer of because you know a week before they were consulting son gormas and witch doctors and now they believe in god or they say they believe in god but you see on Facebook that it's anything but that. So when we talk about the universal church we're talking about everybody up until now and up until

21:11 Christ comes that put themselves under the banner of Christianity. But then also the local church. The local church is obviously where believers get together um you know for services for growth all those kind of things. So that is where they either virtually or physically get together and there's involvement required there's servantthood required. So we're all part of the universal church by default and as far as the local church this is where we should be practically serving practically connected. Remember I told you that as the Bible institute I can put a good word in for you but it is really your local church that chooses to ordain because of the fruit they see in your servantthood. So understanding your

21:57 role within the church and with understanding the need for the church is really crucial. And many times people go on a I'll do it on my own bonvage and they get hurt along the way. Why? Because you become an orphan. And an orphan in the spirit is really a dangerous place to be because there's no accountability. If you remember submission and authority, a subject that you've already had. You know, many people get into this place of um you know, I'll go and I'll wing it and I'll be fine and I don't need anybody and I know it all. Um and those kind of attitudes usually end up in sometimes

22:43 even disaster sometimes even to such an extent that the damage may be permanent you know so many times people go in this you know I got it I'll do it um and they go alone into ministry um instead of choosing a partner or believers or an association or a mentor or somebody to journey with them and by the way your spouse is not a suitable candidate did it um because they are too close to the circle really to give very good sound advice. So I've seen it time and time again, you know, where people disconnect from the body. Um I know that I'm trying to think of the the scripture now. I know it's in the New Testament, but when I looked into it, the Greek that that I

23:30 know it has to do with the body of Christ and when it spoke about it, I think it was Paul writing, he said when when that member of the body becomes disjointed and that Greek there is actually a dislocation. Um it's it's really a a the imagery that the Greek points out is a dysfunctional looking body. So imagine if your head was turned the wrong way and your elbow was broken and facing the wrong way and your shoulder was popped out. You would have a disfigured image. And so this is what many times happens when people break away from the body of Christ and they do it on their own. They become disjointed. Um and that kind of takes a lot to put

24:17 back. But like I'm saying, it's not only damaging necessarily for the people around them, but it can even be damaging to them long term for their ministry. So, one body, many parts. The human body is so amazingly designed. You're able to sit, you're able to write, you're able to hear, you are able to eat a meal hopefully just before the session or have some coffee unless you're on load shedding like us, right? Um, well, not load shedding, but your total power outage. Um, but you were able to walk and talk and chew and blink and most of those without having massive thought. You didn't go, "Okay, are you ready? We're going to get ready. Are you ready? Here comes a spoonful of mashed

25:03 potatoes. Can we do it? Are we going to do it?" Left hand, are you in? You know, hold the spoon. Here it comes. Toot toot. Most of what we do actually comes without even massive thought processes. Now, yeah, you probably got to think of what you want to eat. Um, but as far as talking, you aren't internally going, "Oh my word, how do I say the next word?" It comes naturally, right? Because your body is designed that way. And so, if you take every single function in the body, it is tied to the brain somehow in some way, right? The brain starts [snorts] telling the eyes that you can see food. The the eyes see it translates back to the brain. The brain says, "Hey, there's food in front of you. Begin to produce saliva." And

25:49 I'm not a medical doctor or biologist, but this is more or less what I can remember from biology 25 years ago. I'm not well it was almost 25 years ago on 20, right? Um, and then saliva gets produced which starts producing the enzymes in your stomach telling your stomach to prepare to get ready to digest or in ingest food. From there, the minute it touches your tongue, there's different um pieces of your tongue that determine is it sour, is it sweet, is it salty, is it bitter, um is it spicy. From there, you begin to chew. You know, your jaw starts moving up and down, right? it it the the muscle system gets activated. Then you swallow, right?

26:34 You begin to swallow. Your brain doesn't go, "M, it's finely chewed. When are we going to swallow it?" It just knows to do it. And then it's swallowed. It goes into your stomach. And while the rest is a biology lesson that I'm not going to go into, but it ends up on the toilet and you flush, and that is the end of your whole eating experience. But the truth is that everything is connected to your brain somehow. And so many times, you know, the word of God is so clear when it puts that Christ is the head. And this is where people take it out of context because if Christ is the head, I don't need anybody. You're quite right. Christ is the head. He's the head of the church globally. He should be the head of you. He should be the head of every single church. However, it does continue to talk about about a body. All right?

27:21 And it says in Colossians chapter 2:19, from whom the whole body nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments grow from with a growth that is from God. Right? That's Colossians 2:19. So if we understand that Christ is the head, right? The head of the church, the head of the body, he's the brain of the body, the if I can put it that way, that his linkage is vital. All right? So just as your hand, your brain tells your body what to do, your hand, your leg, your jaw, your stomach. So Christ tells us as the body what we as the church need to do. Scripture also tells us that each part of the body needs the other one. All right? What good is your hand

28:11 without any fingers? It's not extremely useful. What use is your foot if you have no ankle or no toes or no ligaments? The same way that in church we need to realize that we need one another globally and locally, right? I'm talking about a global move and I'm talking about a local move. Right? Let's quickly jump into 1 Corinthians chapter 12 and I'm going to pick up in verse 12 until verse 27. And I think I'm reading out of the New King James. All right. Unity and diversity in one body. For as

28:56 the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that body being many are one body, so also is Christ. For one spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether Jew or Greek or slaves or free, and have all been made to drink into one spirit. For in fact, the body is not one member, but many. If the foot should say, "Because I'm not a hand, I'm not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, "Because I'm not an eye, I'm not of the body, therefore not of the body." If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? And if the whole body were hearing, where would the smelling? But God has set the members, each of them,

29:43 in the body, just as he has pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members yet one body and the eye cannot say to the hand I have no need of you nor the feet the head to the feet I have no I have need of you. So much rather those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary and those members we think to be less honorable and these we bestow a greater honor on our unpresentable parts have a greater modesty. But our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to the part which it lacks, that there should be no scheme in the body, but that the

30:30 members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, the all the members suffer with it. For if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ and the members individually. The next scripture or or the one that I want to highlight verse 26 it says that if one part suffers all parts suffer with it and if one part is honored all the parts are glad all of you are together in Christ's body and each of you is a part of it is this truth that a believer a person average Joe a very intelligent intellectual a business person a teacher a young adult a child an older person. The church

31:17 needs everybody, young and old, suited up and casual in surfware. God needs every person. He needs all hands on deck. You are one of its members. And to, you know, part of that having you part of the body of Christ is serving and fellowship and communing. And it's not to be a piece on our own, but it is to be part of a greater vision. In John 17 21 down to 23, it says this, "That they may all be one just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that

32:04 they may also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory you have given me, I have given to them that they may be one even as we are one. I in them and you in me that you may become perfectly one so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. If we wished for the world to believe in Jesus, then the church needs to come into unity. Whether globally, whether locally, it must come into unity. And here's the truth. Whether people like the church or not, whether the person got hurt by the church or not, not that I've ever seen a brick jump off a wall and throw itself at the person. I've

32:49 never seen the roof, well, I have seen the roof fall down once in a church service. That was kind of fun. We were singing Let It Rain in our church. Not this in revival church, in our previous church. And it was a Sunday night. And we were singing Let It Rain. You know that that that song? We all sang it for like many times. And next moment, right next to the band, I kid you not, on the stage, there comes a rainstorm, but it collapses the ceiling onto the stage and it literally rained into the building. So, I don't particularly sing that song because I've particularly seen it manifest like in person. So, I feel like that song is just too prophetic for our beautiful carpets. Um but God has chosen

33:35 the church as his tool whether you like it or not whether you you know some people have got this weird and wonderful design which says I can hear by the lord therefore I as the priest of my home have church with my family. Now if you are sitting as apostle says um Sculpat Fraen Dorsch if you're sitting somewhere in the Kalahari and your closest church is 26 hours and you have to go by donkey and by plane and by boat and then by camel and then by skateboard and bicycle and then by the cow train to get to church fair enough. But if there is a local church in your vicinity then I'm concerned with that view.

34:21 People do that because they wanna they want to have their own rights, their own decisions. They don't want to be governed. They don't want to be challenged. They don't want to be stretched. They want to do only what they want to do without any form of submission and authority, without any form of accountability. And that is dangerous, right? But the church is the tool that God has chosen to accomplish his work on church. He's given that tool to believers and he's asked them to fulfill the great commission which is to teach and proclaim the gospel worldwide. And the local church has the job of teaching, has the job of discipling, has the job of seeing others come into the

35:07 kingdom of God. So I love all these people that um are so amazingly opinionated. I had a word for them and I actually lost the word. I had my own teacher te designed word. But these self opinionated people that post messages all day about men and women of God in churches and you should be a Christian and what a water. And all I ask is their fruit. And sadly the people with the biggest mouths and opinions are the ones who do the least for the kingdom. And it is people are sitting taking a hit on whatever church, whatever pastor, whatever denomination. We have a mega church in our area and they have become

35:53 social talk. I've been watching it almost every second week just about for the last six or seven weeks. I'm talking about within an hour 400 comments against this church. And at the end of the day, I think what becomes for me very sad is that it's not just hurting that church. It's actually hurting the whole body of Christ. It's hurting globally. Not even just locally, but it is hurting globally. And that's the part that hurts me absolutely the most is that the global church is being labeled. the global church is being pulled down, but

36:39 I see the people commenting so many things and I'm going, "Wow, how many people did you reach in the last week?" You know, you're opinionated. You You want to come and attack ministries and men and women of God. Just just show me your soul count. Show me how many churches you've opened. Show me how many bills you've paid. You know, I had one person argue um tithes and offerings with me and I had one question. I just wanted to know if they used the church's toilet paper and how they felt that they were entitled to free toilet paper if they don't believe in paying for any bills of the church or contributing in any shape or form. I I just wanted to know did he use the church's toilet paper? because you know

37:25 the statement is the church is is um like a business and I'm thinking well spur works out if you go to the bathroom the cost of the waiter the cost of your toilet paper the food the cost of making the food the cost of putting on the lights the cost of the seat you're sitting on all into one account and they bill it to you at the end of the night the church is expected by these it's a business people to come in sit in a comfortable chair under air conditioning, go to the toilet, find it clean, and use toilet paper all for free. So, I I kind of battle where people are arguing certain things. But at the end of the day, God has chosen the church as

38:11 the vehicle for his mission to go forward. So, either we jump on and get involved or we are going to watch that mission go without us. You can be a spectator and you can miss the whole event or you can get on board. So wherever you find yourself, it is your duty as a follower of Christ to partner with the local church in some or other capacity. You know, we have online facilities now. So even if you are living in the Kalahari and it is 36 hours to get to church, you can still in some form, some way, some capacity serve the local vision. If your desire is a life of ministry, you must

38:59 be ready to work along other believers. People that don't want to work or submit or be under a vision and it's because they battle to work alongside other believers. Can I tell you a shocking but real true life story? I was part of a church many many many moons ago and the church uh I was one of the youth pastors so I was really young and the church was busy with a massive building project and I don't know at which point what went funny. I don't know the internal politic of it, but I watched the biggest financeers of that church project step out and become pastors of another church.

39:46 Very interesting movement that they had because number one, they tore the church apart. Now, anything that is birthed in rebellion, wow, I mean, you just have to read about your destiny before you got the grace of Christ upon your life. So, anything with a rebellious move, birthed in rebellion, produces after its own kind. What will it produce? The leaders tore away half of the church, planted their own ministry. And what do you think happened later on? Much later on, probably about 8, nine years later, that same church,

40:35 the head person who planted that church with his money, his funding, him, him, him, him him, had his own board of directors vote him out of his own church without a 50 cents. It was his building. It was his equipment. It was paid for by him. And what do you think they did? Rebellion creates rebellion. And so he was worked out of his own ministry. Today he's fled the country about 10 years ago. He went and he worked under a ministry serving the youth community. He was a senior pastor of a really flourishing church. But you see, anything that is birthed out of rebellion will later bring forth

41:22 rebellion. They legally voted him out of his own church. Crazy. Number two, if you believe that you're called in some way, which we're all called to ministry, we need to be able to submit. If you want authority, you need to be able to submit. You heard the test. The test is I've poured and poured and poured and poured and poured and poured and what now? You heard Pastor Beni say exactly that. What now? It's the patience test. Wait. See what the Lord has in store. And number three, eagerly serve and love God's family just as Christ does. Now, this one sounds easy. Teach it. See, I'll serve any day. Teach it. See, I'll love God's family every any day. That's

42:09 easily said and done except the first time you've poured your life into a family and they betray you like Judas. You've loved upon them. You've served upon them. Remember the word serve? You've waited upon them. Any of you waited in your previous younger years? I know you're all ancient of days, but before you were ancient of days, right? Before you got a real job, I waited. I waited for many, many years. I started when I was 16 years old. I think I waited for about two or three years and it was an unthankful job sometimes. Sometimes I mean the tips were sometimes great. Then the other times they were terrible. So you see it's easy to go and wait and

42:56 serve and love upon people that are loyal, people that in church, people that love upon you. What happens when it's not going that way? And man, I can tell you battle scars. I specifically and I can tell you of a few, but I remember a family I poured my everything unto them. I'm talking about my entire December leave. I poured out upon them. If they went if the baby went whack, I was next to them. I was changing the nappies. I was I I can't tell you what all I did for that family only to have them just to uproot go without a word without a not even a SOS message just just disappear right and I think it's one

43:42 thing I mean if you're going to make a move and you're going to go and you've had a man or a woman of God or a pastor or a leader over you that has been serving you and washing your feet I think it's just the honorable thing to do to say listen chers my season love you guys. I'm that I'm okay. I can handle that. But now it's just grown cold. And I was so upset because Ariela was still a baby. I'd given up time with my baby, precious time that I had on leave. And I was so fed up. And I remember Pastor Amanda saying to me, "But what were you doing it for? Were you doing it for man or if you were doing it for God? Because if you were doing it for man, yes, you feel let down. Yes, you feel upset. But it won't rob you of your joy. If you were doing

44:27 it for man, it's going to rob you of your joy. And then the next people come and teacher T doesn't want to serve because she just got battered. You know, she got kicked in the teeth, bloodnosed, punched in the ribs, wind kicked out of her, and now the next family comes and you're not interested in serving. So, it's easy to eagerly serve. Eagerly serve and love God's family. But what when it gets sometimes tough and I'm just giving myself a rebuke now because um yeah I won't tell you why but the Lord just reminded me now I was having a conversation with the Lord like Lord you remember this person you remember this person giving me a lot of gray hairs like this person subsequently went and moved on to another church and

45:14 we released her and love you into your new season. God bless you. Um, and she gets hold of me this week and uh, she was just asking about something different and I'm she's like, "Yeah, maybe I should come back to Revival Church." And I'm like, "Lord, you know, she settled so well into that other church, right?" And so I was just rebuking myself right now because we need to love irrelevant. So I'm just having a confession session with the second years. I know that you will protect me, love me, and pray for me. But um yes, I mean if she does come, I will definitely welcome her back with grateful arms. But I do believe that she could remain firmly planted where she has been for the last 3 years, four

45:59 years. No, wait, it's even more. It's about 7 years. It's about seven years. I mean, in seven years, I believe she has found a good house for her. Um but yeah but marks of a healthy church. A church without understanding God's calling is just a social club. A church without understanding God's calling is just a social club. A church that exists only for itself is a funeral in slow motion. It's what I love about Revival Church is it's not it's kingdom future kingdom focused. It's not just focused about now. It's focused on a kids church that

46:45 is the church of today. It's focused on the youth. It's focused on young adults. It's focused on business people. It's focused on older people. It's focused on our pensioners. It's it's focused on the people in our community. Because a church that exists only for itself is a funeral in slow motion. Now look, I'm not hitting churches, but I have been around the block, so I know a few churches. And there is a a specific couple that came into the church, and they were telling me how at a previous ministry, they were not allowed to take people of color to church. Man, you are dying a slow funeral. you are bleeding out because God loves all people, all races, all kinds, all

47:34 colors of their eyes, all different shapes of their ears. And so that really hit me hard because I was like, hm. And I know that this church isn't doing amazing either. And then I'm going, well, maybe that's because you have this kind of rule. And it wasn't like it's an unsung rule. It was said to them, if you bring a person of color to this church, we'll shut them out. I was like, that is a problem. A church that does not strive to evangelize will fossilize. Again, I've I'm not hitting churches, but I've seen enough I mean, I've known enough people in ministry for long enough. I know of a ministry that their youth, their youth pastor at the moment was in my youth group 20 years ago. So I I know but I'm looking at

48:23 their audience and because they're not evangelizing they only have Oriiki and Omariki sitting there and Omar and Opa are on their last meaning because they've got no new harvest in they're fossilizing they're dying out because there isn't a fresh harvest coming in. So if you don't evangelize, you fossilize. It's as easy as that. A church that evangelizes without disciplehip is like a parent neglecting their responsibility. I will go do brick crusades. And we see it. We see the splashes of massive crusades. There was a stat out that Rayard Bonkey has evangelized Africa

49:10 four times over. The problem is that there is no proper disciplehip after evangelism. You can get two million people saved and you can get them saved every single day. The problem is that you have to get them saved every single day because they are not being discipled. The local church is not doing their work. A church that does not care for one another is like a family that doesn't have a table. No fellowship, no community, no unity. And a church that does not make a difference in its community is like a body without a hand. So as the body of Christ, there is a few scriptures and a few explanations I want

49:55 to chat about. Number one, we are one body in Christ. We are not isolated believers. We are one body. We are striving after one thing. Each part is necessary doing what it's been called to do. A disconnection leads to weakness. There is enough people in Montana that we do not even have enough churches for them. And here's the secret. If you don't like Burger King, then go to KFC. And if you don't like KFC, then go to McDonald's. And if you don't like McDonald's, well, freaking get a chef that makes the food you do like. The problem is that the churches are cutting one another hoping to populate their church with churched people. Can I give all of you seconders

50:43 a piece of advice? A raw saved person somebody nitto birang I think it's the Africans new to salvation is a million times easier to work with than the church brother from down the road who's come with all these opinions his visions you know in our previous church we would sing like that you know in my previous church 25 years ago we used to have a book like this and it went from zed to a not I'm telling you when you are praying for the ministry, pray for new salvations. I promise I will accept any believer into the house of God. I'm just telling you that the churched people are not as easy

51:28 as you think. They come in prepackaged with a lot. It's much easier to work with a person who has never experience the power of God than one that's going to sit and open a book and compare notes. Not because you've got anything to hide, because they've been so indoctrinated. I heard about a story today of a youngster that has been so indoctrinated by a Christian school that the only Bible he'll look at is the King James version, which I've got no problem with that. My only question is, why have you been so indoctrinated with what? For what purpose have we indoctrinated a young child to only read a King James

52:14 version which none of us can fully understand I just ask why that's all Christ is the head of the church we have a head right the head everything flows from the head the head is Christ so I agree there are shoulders there are kneecaps there are and I don't know which part of you, which part of your local church, where it fits in the body of Christ, as long as it fits in, it is doing what God has designed to do. As long as your church, your leadership, the local church, your your Ephesians, whatever structure there is, is submitted unto Christ, we're in the right place. Then the church is God's

53:00 dwelling place. Ephesians chapter 2:22, "In him you are also being built together into a dwelling place for God by the spirit." If there is not a dwelling place in the local church, then it is not habitation by God, it is visitation. It's like going to hospital in visiting hours and then you wonder why your church is sick because they only get visitation rights. Number four, the church is the family of God. Ephesians 2:19 says that we are a household of God. This means that we are belonging. We have intimacy but we also

53:47 have a shared responsibility. I don't know how many of you come out of a household situation, but in my household, we are each responsible for certain things. Pastor Jake is responsible for making up the bed. The rule is the last butt out gets to make it. That's my rule. If it's me or if it's him, it's usually him, right? Just because I don't feel like making the bed, I get out of bed very early, right? But that's the rule. The rule in the house is Ariel hunry have to unpack the dishwasher because they have a responsibility being part of the household. You as a disciple of Christ inside of a local church have a responsibility. Oh teacher T, I want to just come and see what I can receive from the church.

54:33 That's the problem. A person that comes to and I can hear the statement over and over. I really look and I begin to sigh in my spirit. People will come and when we follow up or we phone, they go, "I just wanted to see what I could get from the church." No, Auntie Sunny, that's not how it works. You have been imparted with gifts. You have been imparted with a vision and a mission. You got to plug into the church, not to see what you can get out, but to see what you can put into it. I just I came to see what I can get. You will get nothing. See what you can give and see about how much more God will honor that. Strength comes from unity. Ephesians chapter 4, two are better than one and a

55:20 threefold cord is not quickly broken. So when we are in unity, when we're in community, we have unity inside of community. When we have fellowship, it is very difficult to break that cord. Number six, the church equips us for ministry. Man, if you want to know how to do ministry, start by serving. The best teacher you will ever have is to serve. Beni Hinn says it over and over and over and over again. If you are not able to serve, you will never be set up for leadership. And you shall know them by their fruit. How do you think a pastor looks for fruit? It's in your service. Number seven, love is proven in

56:07 community. John 13:35, by this all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another. So, like I said this evening, I had my short repentance moment where I didn't love as much as what I should have. I needed to first put myself in Christ Jesus and say, "Yes, I love that sister. I do really love that sister with all my heart." But I also am like Lord are you sure about this one, right? Um but love cannot be lived out alone. It requires relationship and the church is a training ground. Oh teacher T, I love the Lord. Then come to the church and love on God's people. Peter, Peter, if you love me, feed my sheep. No, teacher

56:56 T, I'm not going to be around the sheep. They stink. Then you don't love. No teacher t I'm not going to be around the sheep. They poop and I walk in their poop. Then you do not love. We are called to cooperate in worship. Not neglecting to meet together as a habit of sun, but encouraging one another. Hebrews chapter 10 25. Gathering is not optional. It is commanded by the word of God. Corporate worship, corporate prayer, corporate fellowship. I used to use this example in co where I used to say if you get a million rand and you're watching on the TV. I just want to know if the TV is going to high-five you, hug you, congratulate you, shake your hand, be excited with you. No, it's not. It's

57:43 just going to look right back at you. Hey TV, I got a million rand. And then people choose to TV church. I'm not talking about people that have no other option. I'm talking about brothers and sisters that could be in church but are not. Then the church is the bride of Christ. We know that we are the bride of Christ. So here's what I want to say in my last minute. If you say I love Jesus, that's easy. Anybody can say that. Even a heathen can say that. I love Jesus. But Jesus's test is practical. Do you feed? Do you care for? And do you protect his people? It's easy to say I love Jesus, but can

58:30 you practically live it out? And so I leave that with you this evening and I'm just going to quickly check. I don't think Nvula is on yet, but I'm going to give over to Nimvula and then I will see you again for the book of Acts. There we go. God bless you. See you in the next session. Good evening everyone. How are you? We have how many people today? >> We have five people. Okay. Um

59:18 Georgia, can I please ask that you open in prayer? >> Yes. Yes, I'll do so. >> Okay. >> Okay. May we please bow our heads? Thank you, heavenly father, for this beautiful day that you have given us and the ability that we have come together today to learn. Lord, I pray that you shall impart whatever you have to impart into us that we will learn new things, Lord. that we will remember these things and wherever we go in the world that we can use them for your glory, not for our glory, but to advance the kingdom of God in everything that we do. These lessons will not go unnoticed. They will not go unheard. But we will soak in and meditate on the word of God right now in

1:00:05 the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you, my father. Amen. >> Amen. Amen. Thank you very much. Uh today we're going to continue with two modules which are the last ones. So if we finish today, this will be my last evening with you. [snorts] So um let me just go to our session session two session three and four and then I'll see if we are able to get to session five. just remind me. I just want to see if I'll be able to to just copy the link of the book because I'm not sure if you've

1:00:52 received it as yet. Are you able to see the screen? >> Yes, we can. >> Okay. Thanks. Let's continue with the art of leadership. So can I just ask someone to please just we did go through this but you know we rush through it. Can I just ask someone to please read for us? We're starting with the self Matthew 4:19-20 and then we're going to prepare the other scriptures as well. Is there anyone that is ready to read the scripture with us for us?

1:01:42 I can sorry I can read it. Sorry delay. >> Matthew 4 verse 19 to20. Then he said to them follow me and I will make you fishers of men. They immediately left their nets and followed him. Thank you very much. And then when you look at that because this this circle is really one of Ken Blancet's methods that he used on saying how we can lead like Jesus. So when you look at the self already as leaders but also as children of God the perspective that we have of ourself and the mandate that we know that we have been given first of all is

1:02:29 to understand who's our center and in terms of that we ourself have to follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior as the person who is the leader in our life. So you have to understand the self from there. So what this sphere of of influence is saying is saying first of all what is influencing you as an individual? What is influencing you as a leader and what does the word of God says? The word of God says follow me. So that is the perspective on the self. And then we are going to look on the perspective on leading another because we know that now we understand ourself and what is it

1:03:16 that we understand ourself of and what is the perspective of ourselves. So it's more who are we and who's are we so we have our identity in Christ. So already as a leader if that is the aspect that you follow and you understand that mandate you know who your leader is. First of all, you have to have your perspective right. And when you look at that, it is right in the center. Meaning as a leader, what centers you? What centers you first? So in as much as you are leader, but you also know that when it comes to Jesus, you are a follower of Jesus Christ. So leaders can be followers and leaders. But we also see that in real life situations. And then the next verse is is is Matthew 14

1:04:02 um 30-31. So I can I can read that one verses 30-31. Let me start with 30. But when he saw the wind was boisterous, he was afraid and beginning to sing, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me." And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him and said to him, "Oh, you of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. So if you look at that Matthew verse 14 to to um chapter 14 30-31 when you read it is

1:04:51 to say that now that we are followers of Christ because Christ said follow us now in that follow me now in that following it means that we are willing to be led but for me now when you read this chapter I don't know what your interpretation is is that we lead but sometimes we doubt We know in real life as well sometimes we even doubt the leader but the word of God is saying here is that we must not have little faith. We must not doubt. So if you translate it into a leader you remember that chapter one we had said usually people will doubt you people will doubt your intentions. And here it is, we have it as well in the word of God to say in leading another there will be certain

1:05:38 challenges that we will have and somehow mistrust can be built. If you move away from that example, we know that in real life a lot of times that there is mistrust between the leaders that between the way that we view our leaders. We've seen in chapter one that it said that sometimes we question their intention and so on. So what it basically says that as a leader in as much as you understand yourself you have a perspective of theelves when you lead others there might be certain things that will crop up. So it basically just means that when you understand the self then you would not necessarily have that self-doubt because I don't know about you the thing with leadership is that sometimes the things that people will do

1:06:23 or say or the lack of interest or not following in what you are saying must be done or giving that directive. Sometimes the way that treat you it can even create self-doubt in you as a leader. We see a lot of leaders that end up not being confident. Not that they were not confident. They are not confident because sometimes the reception is not right. The reception is not giving them the assurance to say that you know I understand, I follow, I understand what you are saying. So that is now in leading another. But then it goes a step further now to say what happens when we lead others. Can I get someone to please read for us John 13

1:07:08 to 14? Because now you've moved from the self, you are leading to another. When you lead others, you are now creating a community. I did make an example last week to say in church you might be leading the the the the the worship team, the evangelism, the intercessors and all of that is just to make but an example. But outside of church, we also know that we do have those examples. So, is there anyone that can read for us John 13 uh uh chapter 13 to 14 and then give us your interpretation and understanding with respect to leadership? Can I please have someone to read that one for us? >> Okay, I will read. >> Okay, thank you. Vendro, >> you call me teacher and Lord, and you

1:07:55 say, "Well, for so I am." If if I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also out to wash one another's feet. >> Thank you very much. In the context of leadership, what do you think is the lesson we must learn from that as leader >> and you can still link it starting with the self if you want to? Even though we leaders, um we still need to um lead by example by serving those we lead because because because remember there is a verse that says we do not come uh h

1:08:42 uh to to be served but to serve. That is one of the greatest of things. And how do we serve? By first, as we say in the circle, by first following Jesus. >> Okay. Thanks. >> Yes. >> Are you done, >> Andrew? >> Yes. Yes, I'm done. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. Thank you very much. Can I just have now uh somebody else to please take the last one? uh Matthew 28 18- 20 where we looking at leading the organization now that we understand that we are not supposed to be selferving but serving

1:09:27 others and leading others because we are following an example of of of of of Jesus. How does that show up in the organizations that we lead in our homes? How does that show up? Is there anyone that would like to take the last one to say as leaders what cultures do we then uh h create based on that sphere of influence? Can I please have a volunteer taking that one? We are very few. So Andrew has already gone. I have gone. I think Danila has gone. So we are left with who? >> [laughter]

1:10:13 >> The other person is pastor Tanya. So it means we are left with Georgia. Can you please read that last one? >> Wait, sorry. I'm just trying to get the verse. Is it verse um 20 ver Matthew 28 verse 9 >> 18 to 20? >> Yes. >> Okay. Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

1:10:59 Teach these new disciples to obey all my commandments I have given you. And be sure of this. I am with you always even to the end of age. >> Thank you. Your understanding as it relates to leadership and the conversation we've just had. >> Well, I definitely think as it relates to leadership is we all called for a purpose, you know, and in doing so, we need to lead others. We need to help one another. And it's not just about our selves, but it's also about our outward perspectives and our outward appearance that we should in fact go and we've been

1:11:47 given the authority. So we need to understand that we have that authority to help others and to lead others as well as helping them to grow. It's not just about ourselves. Thank you for that. And can you see when they talk about a full circle moment because if you think about the verse um in Matthew 4:19:20 in terms of the self what what what Jesus is instructing us and you look at the verse as we close off to say organization we have been given the authority already. We have been given the dominion. So from that sphere of influence we already have the authority and and and and and and um sometimes unfortunately we shrink into

1:12:33 our corners and we do not speak we do not act from that point of authority that has already been given. And here please we don't mean arrogance but we are just saying understanding the influence that you can have understanding the change that you can bring about within the organization where you are placed to say that our Monday is grace to continue to make disciples of others. So those are the spheres um of influence. Okay. Thank you very much. And then we continue this evening. I just want to minimize here. Why does it not want to minimize or usually you struggle because if you are sharing then you can okay then we are on chapter seven now wait for your season

1:13:20 and people usually ask to say what do I do whilst I'm waiting and I love this chapter because you know Apostle always explains it so nicely to say if you jump out prematurely you will die you will die a quick death you know when when when when when he puts it you know um when he explains it easily but the big thing is that as a leader we need to wait for our seasons. Sometimes even within the workplace you find that when people have been promoted the next year they asking what are the prospects what is a promotion or after two years as if they are the only ones that needs to be promoted forgetting that they have had their season. So wait

1:14:07 for your season and for me the important thing is is do you even evaluate what is happening whilst you are waiting because we know that sometimes God is actually working on your character. So and how do you wait on on on on on your season? What are the aspects that are important? One of the important things is that you must have patience and you must understand the timing. and I will take it biblically to say you must understand the timing of God because at the right time the Lord says I will make it right. So there is timing, there is patience that becomes important. And how do you become patient? And how in that patience actually do you exercise your faith?

1:14:52 Because you know that God will do it in his time because we know that we are rooted in understanding God's timing. And also in understanding God's timing, we know that we are prep getting prepared for the next we getting prepared for the next season. And the issue is what do we do whilst we are waiting for that. If we take the example at church, you know, when you look at how we've been doing the evangelism, you look at the souls that have been worn and apostle now talks about when we finished the pro provinces. Now we are going globally. Meaning you did not only wait because there was a prophecy that says you know the nations will know you. you already started and in that process step by step and I believe and I've seen that in my life is that the moment that

1:15:38 you start moving God continuously to grows you from strength to strength from one dimension to another and for us as children of God whilst we are waiting whilst we are waiting meaning if we wait and trust in the Lord and continue to have faith we will be like tree planted by the rivers of water that bring forth his fruit in his season his leaf also shall not wither and what whatsoever he does shall prosper. So in that waiting we are like trees planted by the rivers. There's a very nice swana song that that that actually sings and fully explains this verse [snorts] which I love very much. And also in that waiting as we see there in Ecclesiastes Ecclesiastes 3 uh

1:16:26 1 it says that to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. And I think Georgia just talked about now to say when you understand your purpose it will make things easy. But the thing is do you know that moment? Do you have the the the discernment? Do you have that understanding? Do you become aware when the Lord speaks that it is time to move? We know that a lot of time uh uh uh we would talk about the chyros moment. I don't know if you understand what I'm talking about, but there's these seasons that just come with such a different

1:18:43 feeling that it seems as if you are kind of physically feeling a season. And and for me, I think those are the moments
