00 Three Career Killer Mistakes That All of Us Are Making Right Now. With my 14 years experience I want to let you not make these three mistakes which I have also done it and I want all of you to stop them immediately right now. Make sure that you watch this video till the end because this contains very important message especially for the manual laborers. No it's well as the people who are starting to jump into the QA job and especially as an automation test. Let's start. Mistake number one. So recently in my organization also I have talked to lots of people. There was a student, there was a P, there was a person 14 years in manual testing. He has not basically changed the single job. This is the first job he has basically joined and he is in the same organization for almost 14 years. Can you imagine how much comfortable he was in that job. He was
47 not growing. I have seen it, he told me few things. Two important points which he told me that is my salary is very stagnate and important thing is I am very comfortable with my job. I'm scared to take an interview. So, staying in the comfort zone is the actual problem for you guys that you must know in this case. Right? That's what I've told you, right? It will have a huge impact on your career, guys. The most important thing that you will see is stagnation, missing the promotion and skills and options. I told you also, there I am along with one of my friends, I have switched almost three to four jobs through my career in my 13 to 140 years, right? One of my friends who job basically switch only to. The salary difference between both of us is almost I am almost double from the salary that he is getting. The second important thing is his
32 career is stagnated. He is basically afraid to give interviews also. So don't be in a comfort zone. This is the most important thing that you need to do. Action item one is you need to start giving interviews. You don’t have to be comfortable in your manual testing career. If you are a manual tester. It's not always about learning. This is very-very important. You know 2025 is all about learning. Guys I am telling you with my art. It's all about learning automation. Because if you are not learning automation, AI is waiting for you. Because AI will definitely go to replace you if you are not learning automation. This is what I have seen personally also because again second problem which is AI which is also coming in this case right. Point number two which I want to discuss is poor communication and not building the relationships. Guys I told you multiple times. What exactly you are doing specifically with your career. Right now if
18 you are working as a manual tester. Even fresher and even no nighty right you have to have the good communication guys I have seen people multiple times in my live workshop they tell that sir I have a very poor communication what should I do because I can not communicate I cannot communicate my work reports I cannot communicate my works test cases what I want to do everything and this is affecting my career I am not getting the promotion that I deserve because of the poor communication. Why? Because communication is not only about English. It is about reflecting. It is basically giving all the information what you are thinking exactly. Right? What exactly you want and what exactly you are doing. This is a very important thing. If you are not able to communicate your thoughts, then it is not a communication. Because if you're only listening, right, you have to listen properly, you have to take
05 action and tell them exactly what you need, right? What is very important. So impact on career, if you have outdated skills, right, you will have a limited advantage of this and job insecurity will be late if you have a poor communication. So make sure you work on your communications. If you want to increase your English definitely there are websites like we have dual lingo is there, camellia is there. I used to talk to a lot of US UK people. I have taken the paid subscription of Camly. If there is no promotion you can also buy it for fun month or two months. Try to learn it. Guys very very important. You need to understand. How to avoid it. Continuously learn new things in techniques. Guys if you are not learning auto mission you know AI is coming. If you are not learning AI then definitely who knows AI will definitely go to replace you. So, improve your communication, improve your relationship. Relationships are also important. What means relationships are in
52 is something that everyone you have to create your visibility around it. But exactly you are done. what you mean? Pramod sir please explain. Ok? The simple thing is suppose I have done one task. Suppose I am working on a task that I am improving my repository of automation. And suppose I have created a test cases for a for a feature. I want to basically showcase this to developers. I want to showcase my Q&A lead. I want to increase my visibility. That is also a part of communication. That's what you need to understand. Ok? Third important point. This is not the last but very important point. Ignoring Continuous Skill Development. Guys this is what I have seen. I have seen 14 years people as a manual tester in one job. 10 years, seven years basically in a single job they are not learning stagnant career. Not improving things. There are hundreds of
38 things right now, they are coming. For example, when I started as a manual tester, I learned mobile testing. I have learned performance, I have learned security. Couple of times I was basically doing the learning the doing work with the doctor. I was doing working with ADBUS right I was working with multiple like, Azure also, FBZOPs also have worked on. So there are multiple huts you need to basically bear and whenever you are wearing multiple huts you have to keep increasing your skill set also. That is very-variant. As a menu tester, learn automation. If you are an automation tester, learn advanced automation. If you're already an administration and tech architect, learn about how to scale your test frameworks. This is all about what you have to do, right? You have to keep learning more and more skills. That's the most important thing. The impact on your career will be misunderstood. Lack of recognition. I have seen people who are only manual dusters doing their jobs. Not
24 getting any recognition. Not getting promotion. Why because they are not ready to add more skills into the resume. Why are you not adding? I am not sure at this but you have to work on it. 2025 It's All About How You Need to Present Your Resume. You need to add yours to get a recognition. To get a promotion you need to add all these things. Right? Improve your communication, build relationships and maintain reputation also right? So that is very-very. So think about it, guys. Are I hope all of you are not making this mistake. Don't be in the comfort zone. Wherever I say comfort zone, comfort zone basically means what you want to achieve and why you are not able to achieve. You will know because of comfort zone. That's the one thing. Communication and not building relationships because you are not getting a job. You are not able to switch because of the relationships. Because of the
10 communication. Because of the referrals and everything. That's one of the reasons. Skill Development You are not getting the amount that you want. Money that you want. Work that you want because of this skill development. So, you know the impact also because of these problems. So fix it immediately and if you have any doubt, do let me know. This is your force Pramod. 14 Years Experience. Ah as it is. These are the three mistakes. I have also done it. Killer Mistakes. It can kill your career also. And same thing please don't make these mistakes. Let me know what you think about this video? Do you like this kind of normal talking videos where I generally discuss about my experience. How exactly these mistakes that you don't have to do. Ok? Thanks for watching. Give a like and subscribe to the channel and thanks. Bye.
