A lot of people have been asking the question about this latest headline and this is the headline of course about the former royal known as Prince Andrew the Duke of York now simply Andrew Mountbatton Windsor and as you can see from the headline it's really sensational. It's hard to imagine though that all of this really started so many years ago even during the lifetime of the late monarch. We all know what she did in order that she thought that she was just going to, you know, cail this particular drama. And I don't mean that in a, you know, loose way at all. But clearly, you have to remember what Andrew told his mother against what actually allegedly could be the reality. And this is the problem of reporting a
0:45 story like this. I can only tell you so far because of the legalities attached to an ongoing investigation. And the problem again is, you know, if you remember this was, I mean, this was in February. This was incredibly shocking to see. And again, I'm not allowed to show that particular picture, but there is Andrew coming out uh you know, in the back of a police car, all of that sort of stuff. It was utterly embarrassing. And so far, what we've seen really, if you think in the bigger picture of the story, lots and lots of sort of bits splintering off. for instance, like uh Sarah, the Duchess of York, nowhere to be seen really, yet allegedly to return back here to the United Kingdom. She recently refuted claims about big headlines about her planning a tell all
1:31 book. And as I've told you on our show before, publishers are not interested in that simply because there's an ongoing factor story. And you know, if you publish a book like that, even if she said, "Well, she'd have to have really watertight documentation and lots of proof and lots of letters and all that sort of stuff." But then there were bombshells like this against her alleged affair with the rapper who's now in prison, an entertainment mogul, Shaun Puff Daddy Coons. Right. And nobody saw that story coming from anywhere. Now, while a lot of people want to get excited about this and say, "Oh, well, you know, this is what's happening and this is what Andrew is doing." What I want to share with you today, as I often say on our show, and this is the imperative part. You know, you can look
2:17 at a headline and you go, "Okay, this is what's happening." Oh, right. This is a big what are we going to do? The true story behind this so far is simply this. As ever, let me explain. There was some other headlines by the way chums attached to this story because just over the weekend there was a sort of story about how Andrew has been enjoying sort of uh you know personal visits to other sort of welloffto-do people and then the stories about Andrew having a new girlfriend and right you know let me just clear this up right has a set of friends who have not let him down and you know whether you agree with Andrew's story or not you
3:03 know people are allowed to carry on with their lives and live Remember he has always denied all claims against this story. Meanwhile, the other side of the story is of course we all know the fact that you know allegedly this late and sadly deceased lady Virginia Grey received millions of pounds. Many question well why would you pay that? Andrew's version of events or the story that we've been told particularly in the media is the fact that it was the platinum jubilee. There was no distraction from that. We needed this etc. You can see how all of this is a mess. It must have been incredibly stressful for the queen. I mean, whatever. You know, this had gone on a long time before that, but it really exploded at this particular point. And
3:49 it exploded when Andrew was without warning arrested in his home. And this really went around the world. I remember covering it in the darkest moments of our winter in February, you know, and everybody was asking the burning question. Now he's taken legal action against them. The reason why he's taken legal action against them is two points really and these are the most imperative points. Ultimately, you know, he has always denied these claims. So up until this point, and I have to be careful here, but up until this point, there's been no substantial evidence delivered back to him or indeed his legal team regarding this. So what did they find? But apparently they don't know, right? Again, I have to say allegedly. So for
4:35 this big drama and this and then again who tipped off the media and this is the other side of the coin where it becomes really interesting. So there's a little dog there. It becomes really interesting because when you look at that, as I said to you before, somebody somewhere tipped off the media regarding Andrew's departure from that particular police station. You know, you don't just get it, somebody tells you. So the background to this is really Andrew wanting to know what is the culmination or should I say his lawyers are now wanting to know what was the culmination of the findings. And although they had access and a legal warrant to investigate and search Royal Lodge and his premises and the outer premises, he's not received anything until that
5:22 point. The bigger story is that Andrew is still apparently very much under the belief that he can change the direction of this story because he's always denied it. This has been hammered up, if you want to call it that, by his daughter, Princess Beatatrice. Remember, she was the one that was an integral part of Andrew sitting down with the news night and clearing his name. And now we all know how badly that went and what happened behind the scenes of that. What's going to be interesting really although this is coming up by the end of this week what's going to be interesting is working out exactly how this will develop as a story because for him everything hinges on this and well basically what did the police find now at this point having contacted them with
6:08 my contacts that's as much as I can tell you it is going to be explosive but not necessarily in the way that perhaps one party wants I So it's difficult but you understand. So for now, Prince Andrew will have to sit tight until and I believe his counteraction back to this is the reason why we'll find out very quickly by at least the end of this week where all of this is going.
