0:46 these models like gp4 and Claude 35 on a lot of different tasks you can see all the different benchmarks and everything here so even in terms of code it's really really powerful now they are also running a discount for the API so um right now the API usage is quite minimal compared to what it was before and I think they're running this promotion up until February of 2025 now what you'll need is to get an API from Deep seek so to do that you'll first go to platform. deep seek.com now when you go here you can pay maybe like $2 to get an API key so here all I did was I filled up or topped up my balance with $5 and then I went to API keys and then I got a or I created a new API key so what you would do is simply create a
1:32 new API key call this development or something and then you can once you create this you'll then be able to copy this key and just paste it somewhere maybe in like a notepad or something next you will go to vs code you'll want to click on open AI compatible now I'm going to provide you with all of the different settings first let me just add in my API key real quickly so I'm simply going to paste this key here now for my base URL I'm going to paste this in the description just simply copy this now for the model ID you can either use the Deep seek chat or the coder both of these API points um are running I tested them both let's just say I use chat for now because that is compatible with deep seek V3 um all you would do is Select done and there you go now you should have access to the Deep seek V3
