00 Are you posting videos on YouTube, but you're barely growing? It's not the algorithm, even though you want to blame it. It's actually your strategy. And something most YouTubers don't know is that there's a strategy for different levels of growth on YouTube. That's right. If you are a beginner YouTuber, you will use a different strategy to grow your channel than a more established channel. And if you aren't playing your cards right, it could be really hurting your channel growth. So, in today's video, I'm going to break down three levels and three strategies for each of those levels for growing your YouTube channel, whether you're a beginner, mid-level, or established YouTuber. So, if that sounds good to you, stick around. So, first things first, there's not one
46 strategy that works for all levels of YouTube, right? So, it's not a one-sizefitsall kind of strategy. And thus, if you are a beginner YouTuber with zero subscribers, you're going to take a very different approach to YouTube than if you are an established YouTuber. Is you have zero subscribers or only a handful of subscribers. You're brand new to YouTube. No one really knows you and you need to start to grow your channel. At this level, the strategy becomes quantity over quality. That's right. I know you hear all the time that you must produce value driven content that is full of quality so that your viewers can get a lot of the vid out of the video and keep them coming back. Well, the problem is as a new YouTuber, you have no idea how to create great content, right? You have no idea how to create quality content because
31 you've never done YouTube before. That's why I encourage at the at the get-go to produce as much content as you can at this stage so that you can learn to become someone that can create great content for YouTube because great content is born out of practice and every video you upload and strive to do better on the next upload and the next upload and the next upload will allow you to become someone that can create great content for YouTube. When you do this strategy, you will be dramatically different in the level of content you're producing from your first video to your fifth video, right? And so here's the plan with the strategy. With level one, you just produce, produce, produce. Of course, you want to provide value as much as you can, but you also are
18 striving in this stage to learn as much as you possibly can about how to post awesome content. You're learning about editing. You're learning about titles. You're learning about thumbnails. You're learning about topics that interest your clients or your viewers. You're learning about how to present yourself in a clear and structured manner. How to not ramble, how to have good lighting, how to take advantage of all the things that you have at your fingertips in order to make the best video that you possibly can at this stage or this level of your YouTube journey. So, quantity over quality at level one. Now, let's talk specifics. So, what types of videos do you make at this level? How do you come up with the ideas? So, at this level, I would recommend farming ideas from other YouTube channels in your niche, seeing what's working for them, what's working
04 across multiple channels, and also working for channels that are smaller scale, not million subscribers, but maybe 5,000 to 15,000 subscribers. If you see that content working across multiple channels, that content will most likely work on your channel. So, pick topics that resonate with you that you could do in your own style, your own voice, with your own opinions, and present those to your YouTube channel. So, in the early stages of YouTube, where you're brand new and you're growing your channel, look for ideas and concepts that are already proven out there on YouTube that are working for other channels in your same niche. go there first, get some of those ideas, and then do those ideas on your channel. Those videos may or may not take off, but it's not because necessarily of the topic. It's probably because you're just
51 new at YouTube and you have a lot of skills that you need to hone in order to make great content. So, we just want to practice, but we might as well practice with videos that have a more higher potential to do well than just doing random ideas that come to our head. If you are your client or your audience or have been your audience in the past, pick from your experiences and present videos that you think will address the viewers biggest pain points and do those videos as well. So you could pick from your own experience as well, knowing your audience and what is is plaguing them and how to get them from point A to point B as fast as possible. Do videos on that as well. So those are the two locations I would look for for video ideas. Look on channels that are in your niche that are already doing well, that have videos that are working for them.
37 Bring those to your channel and make them in your own way. Or look at your audience's pain points that you have lived through that you experience that you know are actual pain points of your audience and present those ideas to your channel as well and help people to get from pain to pleasure or out of pain or or ways to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So that would be the strategy for level one, quantity over quality, and produce videos that have a proven concept already on other channels or ideas that you know have helped your experience get from point A to point B, from zero to hero. Whatever those experiences were, those tips, those tricks, those pieces of advice, present those on your channel. Okay. Now we go to level two. And now the game changes with regards to strategy. The previous
23 strategy of quantity over quality gets thrown out the window. Do not do that anymore. Now you want to focus on creating quality content over quantity. So you might slow your roll. You might not be producing as many videos a week or a month as you were before, but you're creating very highquality content. And the reason you're capable of making high-quality content, really strong, great content, is because you put in all that practice. You did those 50 videos, those 100 videos already, right? You looked at those videos and you thought, "Okay, how can I improve this? what can I do differently in the next video? And you did that. And all of that work compounded now to where you have a few thousand subscribers and you have more skills. You know how to edit. You know how to present things in a clear manner and a concise manner. You
08 know how to great create great thumbnails, great titles. You also now have a track record. You see what is working with your audience, what they like, what they don't like, what um concepts are kind of proven on your own channel. And so the strategy now changes from focusing on creating more quality content for your viewers at this stage of level two. So level two is no longer about practicing anymore. It's now about building your empire. And the key to growth at this point is creating content that people actually want to watch. I know, mind-blowing, right? But it's true. You were just creating tons of content before that you thought they would like, but that was mainly just for practice. But now you're really honing in on what they did like on your channel and creating more of that. So creating things that people actually want to
53 watch and that actually help your audience in the most impactful way. And here's the reason why we wanted to create quality over quantity because one quality video can dramatically change the trajectory of your channel at this stage. And you actually have the experience to handle that now as well. And so from now on, the focus now becomes, is this video worth someone's time to watch? Will it grab their attention? And will it deliver either value, emotional impact, tell a great story, transform them in some way, or do something in a positive way to influence the audience or the people watching the video. Those are the main questions you want to be asking when you're creating videos at stage two or level two of your
40 YouTube growth. But here's a warning. A lot of people when they enter stage two, they feel this pressure. There's more eyes on them. They want to create quality content and they enter perfectionist mode. Do not do that. You have the skills. You have built up the skills and you're continually going to improve on those skills of posting videos on YouTube. Do not become a perfectionist. Now, you do want to create videos at the highest level of quality that you possibly can, but do not, you know, focus if you're at 95% quality of your video. Do not focus or or or stop your momentum because of that 5% to get to 100% perfection with your video, right? Just post the 90% quality because it is important to continue
26 posting at this level because consistency is key on YouTube. You want to keep posting. So, don't let the perfectionist in you slip in at this stage because it does have a tendency to do so because like I said, there's more eyes watching you there. There's just more pressure and you feel like you have to perform and you do need to perform at a different level, right? But that's why we're going to take more time on each video. We're going to research it more. We're going to go through the script. We're going to practice the script. We're going to edit the script. We're going to edit the videos really well. We're going to really hone in on the hook and all of those things and make the video as highest quality that we can because we're focusing on less content but better content that we post. And here's another shift that happens at level two, monetization. This becomes a
11 part of your strategy as well. So now you're also thinking about how can I monetize my channel? So you want to create content that helps you to monetize. So, if you have affiliate links that you're using, you could start to make videos about those affiliate links. Like, if I use Vid IQ, I could make a Vid IQ video and then say in that video, by the way, if you want Vid IQ, I have a link in the description below. That will feed into a revenue stream for you called affiliate links for your channel so that you can start to monetize your channel beyond YouTube ad revenue. So, you can go further with your channel now because you have more authority, you have more subscribers, you have more views, you have more experience, you have gotten better at creating content. And so now you can plan your content in a way that feeds into different revenue streams or focuses for your channel. So that's also
57 an exciting thing that happens at stage two is offering your services, creating affiliate links, asking for sponsorships and brand deals and those types of things because you have more authority at this level to achieve those things and you'll get your stuff in front of more people so they will have a easier ability to click on your links and you have more chance to make more money with affiliate links than you did in level one. And another thing I recommend at level two is start to reinvest that money you're making back into your channel. So let's say you really want to up your game a little bit and you want to outsource editing. So now that you're making some money from um YouTube ads, you're making some money from affiliate links, you can then take that money, reinvest back into your YouTube channel in order to grow even faster at this level and get to the next level, which is level three. Okay, so let's talk specifically about the videos you're
43 producing at this level. I think you should post in groups of three videos on your channel. Now, two of the videos that you post will be proven concepts that already work on your channel. For example, on my channel, if I ever post any videos about how much money I made or how much money I'm making, those videos always tend to do well. How I made an online business with YouTube, those videos do well. So, I would do one or two of those videos. And then the third video would be something different, something that I haven't done before, something that's experimental. And the reason we're doing this is is because at level two, you have stuff that is working on your channel and you want to double down on that stuff and keep doing that stuff because that's already working. It's a proof of concept. It's already proven to work on your channel. So keep doing that so that your channel can keep growing. However,
28 YouTube is always changing. It's always evolving and what worked last week, last month, 6 months ago might not work next month, next week, one year from now. Right? So that's why we are continually introducing new experimental um type videos into our channel against the proven concepts. So twothirds of the time we're doing stuff that we already know works and a third of the time we're adding in something new. And that way when some one of the two/3s the two videos that used to work maybe one stops working as well and falls off the new experimental one then fills that place and now we have those still working again and then we're adding in another third experimental. So we always have two that are proven concepts that are working and we add in a third video that's experimental in order to encourage sustainability with our channel. So that's really important at
14 level two is to have that experimental video but also keep doing the videos that are working and double down on that as well. Now where do you get these new ideas from so you can do what you did in level one farm inside your niche. Look at your niche other YouTube channels. See what they're doing. Are they trying something that you haven't tried yet? Is there a concept that they've done that you just haven't tried? Try that. Have they done a car video, a talking in their car video, a walking video, and you haven't tried that yet. Try it on your channel. See what happens. Experiment. Um, you can also experiment or look for things outside of your niche. So, go to other niches and see what other niches are doing and see, oh, wow, that's an idea I haven't heard of. I will try that on my channel. I will take the words or the the title structure and then I will plug and play my own words into it and try that title structure on my channel and see if it works. Another thing you can do is use
01 this thing, the thing that's on top of your shoulders. Use your brain and think of something different you could do. Think there's probably a video that's been floating around your head for a while that you've been wanting to do, but you've been putting off because it's a little too out there. It's a little different. It's it might be out of your niche slightly or it's a little out there. It's just not something you think would necessarily work and you don't necessarily want to invest time in it. Now's the time. Invest that in one of the one videos of out of the three that is experimental. So that's where you can get ideas for the experimental video. So now that we've covered stage one and stage two, let's move on to stage three. Stage three is where you have like 10,000 subscribers or more. Your YouTube channel is more established and you're starting to create a business from it and you want to be able to sustain this business. So your focus is now changing from growing your channel. You still want to grow your channel, but it's also
48 changed now to feed the views into leads. So views become sales in your business. So you want to create funnels. Now you're really more focused on creating a sustainable business, creating a sustainable creator, entrepreneur business for yourself. So now the strategy has changed slightly. Now it's about building systems, stacking revenue streams, and turning your content into business assets. Your videos don't just need to get the click anymore or the subscribers or the views. They need to get into your funnel now. So you want to create that bridge from views to sales or views to leads to sales. Right? So that is now the purpose of your channel. That means your content becomes more intentional than ever before. With each video you do, you're
35 not thinking about how to get the clicks. You're thinking about how to get the sales. So each video must consider what do I need to present in this video in order to get that sale. Think about what does this offer, this value tie into that is a service of mine that I could sell to the viewer or to the audience watching this video. So, some video ideas might be answering key objections of your viewers or providing them with ways to get from pain to pleasure. And then if they want to go deeper or if they find that they that it's over their head or they're just frustrated with YouTube videos and they want to actually talk to a person and you offer consulting, then you've covered that topic. You've given them as much as you can in the video. And then you say, "If you want to go deeper and
22 work with someone directly, I offer consulting. check it out in the link below. So, you gave the value. You you provided information, but you also implied that if this is too hard for you, if this seems too confusing, I'm here for you. I can help you. And so now that video serves a different purpose. It serves to provide value, but on top of that, to also provide information on how to work with you so that they can go deeper faster. Another video type you could start adding into your channel at this stage is case studies, examples of people you've helped and how they have succeeded after receiving your help. That could provide hope on your channel for people that they can do it as well, but it also will provide evidence that you know what you're talking about and that people have worked with you and gotten results. So maybe they will want
08 to work with you and get those same results as well. Another important thing to create on your channel now is evergreen content. Whereas before the focus was more on trying to go more broad perhaps and get um get videos to show up on browse and suggested so that you can grow faster. Now that you're more established, you can start creating a library of evergreen videos that will capture that very specific audience you want to funnel into your business or or funnel into your email list or into your membership or into your community or whatever you're trying to grow. But each video, evergreen video will feed specifically into one of those channels of your funnel. And at this stage too as well, stage three. In stage two, you started to to stack some revenue ideas,
53 different revenue streams, right? But now in stage three, you're really trying to maximize those different revenue streams so that you can diversify where your income is coming from on YouTube. and that will really make the difference between being a successful entrepreneur and a full-time content creator and one that just dabbles in it. So now YouTube isn't just a platform for getting attention or getting views. It has now become a marketing lead generating engine for you and your business. And if you do it right, one wellplaced, well-timed video can create impact, income, and connection for a long time coming, for years to come. And it will be on autopilot. It's one and done. And it's just making income for you. It's
40 creating connection. It's creating everything you want so that you can feed and grow your business and maintain this content creator lifestyle that you so have worked so hard to build at this point. So now at level three, it's not just about making great content. It's about making content with a purpose. Yes, you still want engagement. Yes, you still want discovery. Yes, you still want new subscribers and new viewers and all of those things. And that will happen because you are still creating great, valuable content that helps people, but you are strategically positioning it in a way that feeds into your business so that you can grow and continue to do this for a living. And here's how I recommend thinking about your videos at this level strategically. There's four main ways. Number one, client attracting content. This content
26 is designed to pull exactly the people you want to work with. Maybe coaches, maybe um people into your membership, whatever it is, but it's designed specifically to speak to those people's pain points and helping them to overcome those pain points. So, you're creating content that attracts the clients you want to work with. Number two is brand deal content. If you are interested in landing brand deals, you're going to want to create content about those brands and then approach those brands and say, "Hey, look at how many views and subscribers and comments this video got. I could probably get you a ton of business for your business through my YouTube channel. Would you be interested in sponsoring me or doing a brand deal with me?" So, that would be branded content, content that you are purposely creating to attract brand deals to your
12 channel. Number three is authority building content. So this is content that you create that shows your authority, that shows that you know what you're talking about and that you can help people. You can share behind the scenes, you can share vlog style format, you can share Q&As's, you can do live Q&As, you can share client um success stories, case studies, all of those things. but it's rooted in storytelling and creating an emotional connection with your viewers that also shows you're an authority in this niche and that you can get results for your clients or the viewers watching your videos. And lastly, number four, the fourth video content you will be creating at this stage is community building content. Your core community is so important for your channel and you want to feed that core community with valuedriven content
59 that helps them elevate their life. So, this video type will deepen the loyalty between you and your viewers by providing them with really amazing content that really truly helps them and lets them know that you see and hear them, that you haven't forgotten about them, that you really care about them, and those types of things. So, that's what you those are the four pieces of content that I recommend at this stage. And so, I want you to remember at level three, there's a golden rule, and that rule is this. Your video should either attract, convert, or deepen. What do I mean by that? It should either attract people to your channel, new people to your channel, new people to your business, convert, take people that are coming to your channel and convert them into your business, or deepen, deepen
44 the connection, deepen the loyalty, deepen the knowledge that they have. So, those are the three main things you want to focus on at level three of your YouTube journey. And if it doesn't do one of those three things at this level, it's not worth your time. Because here's the thing, you've put in the reps, you've built the base, and now you're optimizing every piece of content to either grow your business or solidify your long-term brand for your YouTube channel. The truth is, growing on YouTube is not about luck. So, all those people out there that tell me you got where you are because of luck, no. I got here because I put in the reps at level one. At level two, I started really noticing what was working, double down on that, and also continuing to experiment. And now at level three, I'm pulling back the reins, doing less videos, more quality videos, and strategically thinking about every video I produce in order to do one of those
32 three things of the golden rule. Attract, convert, or deepen. So, wherever you are right now on your YouTube journey, the path is clear. Make a plan. Stay honest about what's working and keep evolving. And if you're ready to get clear on your purpose on your YouTube journey and what you should be doing and how you should grow faster and you want support, I'm here and I can help you. Reach out.
