THE NEW COMPLETE TIMELINE OF THE JURASSIC FRANCHISE!

0:00 So, Jurassic World Rebirth has just released in cinemas, and it's on track to have the second biggest opening of the whole entire franchise, which is just crazy to even say. But with this movie, it seems to be a hit or a miss. Some people are loving it, some people hating it. But one thing for sure, it's another movie in the timeline of the Jurassic cinematic franchise. So, there's going to be some more lore that's been added. So, in today's video, we're going over and teaching you the complete timeline of the Jurassic franchise. We're going to be clarifying some specific dates in this timeline based off the main portion of what appears on screen for the Jurassic Cinematic franchise. Now, quickly, you probably seen that the lighting has changed and my headset is now on. Uh,

So, of course, that's not good enough. So, I'm now re-recording this whole 25minute video. You're doing great cuz I really feel defeated right now. But either way, I just want to say that there are spoilers ahead in this video for Jurassic World Rebirth as that does come into factor quite a lot in this video. So, if you haven't seen the movie yet, don't watch this video. Come back to it a little bit later. For me personally, I've watched this movie nine times now. So, I feel as though I know a decent amount about where things are placed in this timeline. I've done the same for all of the Jurassic movies as

1:30 well. But yes, as I did say, we're covering all canonical main media that appears on screen. So, whilst this franchise is a lot more in-depth with exact times and dates about where people were in this timeline, we're not going to go too in depth. We're just going to focus on the main things that appear on screen just so you guys can see what order things take place in. We'll go in depth another time, don't you worry. But for now, let's get into the new complete timeline of the Jurassic cinematic franchise. So, most people would actually think

2:16 that we start off in 1993 with Jurassic Park, but actually we start in the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago where we have the short film Jurassic World the prologue. This aired in cinemas in 2021 right behind the start of Fast and Furious 9. And this was intended to be added onto the extended edition of Jurassic World Dominion, the only edition of the movie you should be watching because the theatrical version is dog But essentially, we just get to see these dinosaurs in their natural habitat 65 million years ago. And I know some people don't really like the idea of seeing the Tyrannosaurus and the Gigantosaurus standing together, but that's the whole fun of movie media. Things happen differently in different universes. But after this prologue, we jump to the future 65 million years to the year of 1525. Now, I said I won't go

3:02 deep in depth about everything, but that was the very first time that Ela Nubla was discovered, which will eventually become the home to the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. But moving into the pre-Jurassic Park era, we have the fact that John Hammond in 1988 wanted San Diego Jurassic Park to start and be built as the first intention for Jurassic Park. In 1982, we also have Dr. Henry Woo signing up to be an inen scientist. And then just a few years later in 1986, we have the Microseratus as the first ever dinosaur brought back to life. This was only via the Masani websites, but thanks to Jurassic World Dominion, we get a little bit more in depth about that detail. And then 1993 comes around and we have the events of Jurassic Park. A lawyer is eaten on the toilet, Samuel Jackson

3:48 dies, and we also get to see Moldun get outsmarted by Velociraptors. But an upand cominging title called Jurassic Park Survival, if it is canonical, may actually take place just moments after the ending of Jurassic Park. So, we're going to have to wait and see if that is also added into this timeline. But then we go to the next year in 1994 where we have the Ela Nubla cleanup operation. During this operation, loads of people go back to the island to obviously clean up after the hurricane has passed by and the sick Triceratops is seen with a Tyrannosaurus Rex bite mark within it. Honestly speaking, if we were to do some kind of prequel for the Jurassic Park era, I think this is probably the only moment in time where it actually makes sense to have an exciting story. 1997 soon comes about, and then we have the

4:34 events of the Lost World Jurassic Park. Ian Malcolm returns, but this time heads over to site B, the secondary island of the Jurassic franchise. On site B, this is where dinosaurs were cloned, bred, and brought up before they were mature enough to be transported over to Elanubla for the official Jurassic Park. Later in the movie, we also get the San Diego incident where the Tyrannosaurus Rex makes its way onto the mainland. However, this was the very first time in this timeline where it's brought to the public's attention that dinosaurs have returned. But moving on to 1999, we move into the amalgam testing era. This amalgam testing era was essentially made by Dr. Woo. What did he do? Well, he kind of went off the rails and decided to make dinosaurs not on Inen's list,

5:21 including Project Regenesis, also known as the Jurassic Park 3 Spinosaurus. This guy was born in 1999 and wreaked havoc across the ecosystem of Eela throughout these times. Not only that, but some in scientists were working under Dr. Woo. But also in recent times, we learned that Biosin infiltrated and worked undercover under Dr. Woo as well. So also in 1999, Biosin were made aware of the Spinosaurus. But then the Spinosaurus finally gets its showcase and in 2001 Jurassic Park 3I releases. This time Alan Grant goes to EA and barely makes it out alive. But towards the end of the movie, as everyone finally gets away from Misa Sauna, we see the Jurassic Park 3 variants of the pteranodons flying away. This movie, it

6:06 may not have been perfect, but it had the best Spinosaurus design, the best pteranodon design, and easily the best Velociraptor design of the franchise. But with these pteranodons at the end of the movie, they actually ended up flying to Canada, where a video is actually captured of an operation where these pteranodons are captured by none other than Vic Hoskins. Yes, Vincent Denafhrio's character from Jurassic World. This all takes place in 2001. A few years later in 2005, the official opening of Jurassic World occurred. In 2007, the Mosasaurus is born. And then we finally move into a more interesting era of Jurassic. In 2009, Dr. Henry Woo creates the very first successful hybrid dinosaur of the timeline. This being the

6:52 Scorpius Rex. Now, whilst this dinosaur was technically classed as successful, it certainly had its problems. It was erratic. It looked ugly and it just wasn't meant to be alive. This is where Simon Masani ordered the destruction of the Scorpius Rex. But Dr. Woo decided not to listen to him and instead put this creature in cryogenic freeze where eventually it rebroke out in 2016. But after this, Jurassic World Rebirth finally comes into effect. As we know, the opening sequence of Jurassic World Rebirth takes place 17 years earlier, placing it at 2011. But judging by the size of the distort Rex in this prologue segment, it's easily at least one year old, making it born in 2010. But of course, then 2011 occurs and we get to see that whole opening sequence of

7:38 Jurassic World Rebirth. We actually suspect that the distort Rex is a failed hybrid of the Indominus Rex because in 2012, the Indominus Rex is born as well as Blue the Velociraptor and the Ibris project is started signing on Owen Grady and Barry Sen. Fast forward a few more years where the Indominus Rex is 3 years old and 2015 rolls about and the incident of Jurassic World occurs. But simultaneously at the very same time, the events of Camp Cretaceous season 1 also occur. Now whilst Jurassic World had a more positive ending, most people were escaping with their lives. Camp Cretaceous not so much. These kids were accidentally left behind on Ela Nubla and were left to defend for themselves for 6 months on this island. That's where Camp Cretaceous seasons 2 and three also take place in the early to

8:26 middle stage of 2016. But season 3 actually has a timeline alignment with the start or the prologue shall I say of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom where they retrieve the Indominus Rex fossil and also the mosasaurus gets her limelight once again. But after this prologue of Fallen Kingdom, the last two episodes of season 3 of Camp Cretaceous continue, and at the end of that season, they escape with their lives on a boat. It's not until the start of season 4 that takes place quite literally on the very same day the Mosasaurus has been tracking them and causes them to shipwreck on Mantacorp Island. And then the events of season 4 and season 5 of Camp Cretaceous take place. Unfortunately, they're not too great, but still they're canonical. Another year forward brings us to 2017 where the birth of the Indoraptor is born as in

9:13 2018 is predicted to be around 1 years old. And of course, the events of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom occur in 2018, but also the very end of Camp Cretaceous season 5 takes place in 2018 as we see Darius right at the end of the season coming face to face with a Brachiosaurus right outside his bedroom window. 2019 brought us one of the best installments of the Jurassic franchise with Jurassic World Battle at Big Rock. The very first short film of the franchise and the very first time that this movie became an expanded universe. Within this short 8-minute film, which you can watch for free on YouTube, we get to see a family just living together in the woods. But then, a nuttoeratops and its baby comes face to face with an Allosaurus. They both eventually escape as the male comes to the rescue, but then the Allosaurus turns his attention

9:59 to the humans. This is honestly an amazing way to do the dinosaurs on the mainland. 2020 to 2022, not much is actually known in this timeline for Jurassic. However, the Dino Tracker events, or at least the videos on that website do take place. Now, unfortunately, it doesn't seem like that website is up and running anymore, which is a great deal of shame because it had so many cool lore additions. But either way, the videos that did appear on that website are more or less between the years of 2020 and 2022. But also in 2022, more specifically the early stages, we have the latter half of the 5-minute prologue that we got for Jurassic World where it shows Rex the Tyrannosaurus Rex tearing up a drivein cinema. But then a few months later in September of 2022, the events of Jurassic World Chaos Theory seasons 1

10:46 and 2 take place as we see the campus survive the Atrocaptors in the USA. and then eventually make their way over to Senagle where Suna Santos appears. Somebody who eventually appears in Jurassic World Dominion. And then talking of which, we have Jurassic World Dominion taking place in November of 2022. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly is a likable taste. But throughout this movie, the events of Jurassic World Chaos Theory season 3 and 4 are also taking place simultaneously whilst the Molter events go on. Now, at the time of recording, Chaos Theory season 4 actually hasn't released just yet, but since we do know where it's going, the Biosin facility, it's safe to say that it does take place during the second half of Jurassic World Dominion. And then we come to summer 2028, which is Jurassic World Rebirth and its

11:32 events. Now, the plot of Jurassic World Rebirth confirms that it takes place 5 years after Jurassic World Dominion, which would mean anytime between December 2027 and November 2028. But since Ruben Delgado confirms that his children are on summer break, that means it takes place in the summer of 2028. But where does it go from here? Well, considering this movie takes place in the future, and it seems as though the next movie will be releasing in our year of 2028, I won't be surprised if the events of the sequel also take place in 2028, just soon after the ending of Jurassic World Rebirth. But as far as main timeline goes, that's pretty much all we know for Jurassic. Now again, I could go very in-depth for all of this and basically say the birthdays of every single character, but we'll save that for another time, but that's the beauty

12:18 of Jurassic. It's an expanded movie universe. It's not just the seven movies. You have animated series. You have short films. You have canonical websites, which builds this world so much better. That's why I cannot stress enough if anybody at Universal is watching this, please bring in a writer who knows everything to do with this franchise and try not to wcon things. David Ke, I appreciate you for Jurassic Park and the Lost World Jurassic Park, but unfortunately I think you really dropped the ball with Jurassic World Rebirth and you recconed some big things and a lot of things that loads of people just subtly liked about the franchise.
