0:00 I love me some arcade action. I mean, I practically grew up in the arcade, so I always love taking a look at different options available for playing arcade games. But the option we're taking a look at is for someone more serious and looking for a big boy machine, a full-size high quality setup, not some little toy. So, this company, they're out of Pennsylvania, USA, retrocade.com. So they sent this machine to me for purpose of obviously sharing with people so they could possibly get more interest in what they are doing, sell some more of these things. So yeah, I didn't buy this thing. It is a bit pricey, but they do have several options

0:45 and ways to go about getting set up if you're interested. And we're going to go over it a bit here. Show you the machine. I have it in my garage cuz just don't have space in my house right now. But uh you know, so kind of look past the mess a bit. It is what it is. So these guys, they sell two-player and four player cabinets and pedestals in several different variations. Plus, everything is customizable. That's the biggest thing here. It's customizable. They are a custom built arcade cabinet company. That's what they do. So, what they got going on here, they also have uh ready to go cabinets that are pre-made and ready to ship if you're interested in that because if you do go

1:31 through and customize and and build something here, you know, it is going to take a little time for them to get everything set up and ship it out to you. All that information is on the website. Now, with these setups here, you can buy them with or without a computer, but either way you go about it, these are not flat pack kits. There's nothing to assemble. You're not getting like, you know, an IKEA setup thing here where you got to put it together. It's not like that. These are pre-made cabinets ready for you to start using. Now, if you get one without a computer, you can easily add your own or toss in like a Raspberry Pi, an Android box, mini PC, or whatever you want to use. Now, if you want to go through and get a two-player cabinet like what they

2:17 sent me and I have here, uh you'll be given several options. Now, to start, just kind of going through it, you get to choose your artwork or you can customize it. They have some pre-made things that you could choose from. I went with the Capcom one cuz I thought it was kind of cool. Now, you can choose your computer. Uh they have several options to choose from or just go without. Now, the PC builds that they they offer are from uh this website, arcade1.com. So, keep that in mind. You can also just go direct to them and buy a computer if you want. Uh if these guys stop selling them that way, that's where they were going to begin with. Now, you the next thing you do is you choose your buttons. They have suzo hap, Sanwa, crown or RGB buttons. Obviously, there's different prices attached to all these

3:03 different options. Now, you also get to choose your sticks. They have ill or sanois. Now, the Sanwa, I thought this was really interesting because I've never seen this before, but I I did know this existed. I just never seen it in person. Player one with a servo for the gate. This was freaking interesting, dude. So what this does is and at first I was like wait how do I trigger this man? So what it is is say you you want to play Pac-Man and with the Sanwa it's like an eight-way gate. So you're like man okay it's going to feel kind of weird navigating around Pac-Man when it was normally a four-way you know restrictor gate. Well with the servo that's attached it will rotate the gate

3:49 automatically to four-way. If you select a game that uses four-way, and I'm showing that in the video, I select Pac-Man. Boom. It just it it changes it automatically. You don't even have to do anything. Then when you exit that game, it does that, you know, used four-way, it goes back to eight-way. Thought that was really neat. So, yeah, you get that in the player one if you get a Sanwa. Now, you get to choose uh if you want a track ball, they have several options for that. The next thing is a marquee. Standard is back lit or you can go with a hyper marquee. Those are very expensive. Then you can choose uh your speaker options there. Next thing, right? And then uh they have additional add-ons. Tons of stuff you could choose from or just choose nothing at all with the additional add-ons. They have like coin doors, pinball buttons, light guns,

4:38 uh like sendins, stuff like that, extra controllers, all that kind of stuff. Now, the the thing I liked with this machine is uh the front the way they have it set up is like there's two USB ports. So, if you buy light guns, you know, over time you want to add them on or use extra controllers, you have two USB ports in the front. So, that's nice. You don't have to be going around the back and trying to, you know, access the computer to plug anything in. You have those two USB ports up in the front. But I did want to point out access to the back was actually really nice. I've used other machines where it's like such a pain in the ass to access anything. I'm going point out a couple things here. The back, say, for example, you get dust on the screen and you're like, man, I

5:24 need to get behind the, you know, plastic cover, the acrylic or whatever. There's some dust back there or something or a fingerprint you didn't notice. Right? the back. It's just like a little latch and you just lift up, pull it out. Boom. You have access. The the monitor's back there. You could just easily undo that and slide it out and then get, you know, behind everything, clean things out, change the monitor if you need to, whatever. You have access. Now, it's the same thing on the bottom. If you want to get access to the computer, just a little latch. Boom. Pull up, you know, remove that back panel. Very easy. You have access to everything. Very cool. I like that. No screws or anything. You're not undoing, you know, anything at all. It's just a little latch that you turn. Very nice. Now, the front, I forgot to point this

6:11 out. I did show that servo, though, and I didn't have to undo anything to show that. And this is very nice and it's very sturdy to access the control panel because if you grew up in the arcades, you you know back in the day you'd be playing like Street Fighter 2, things would be fine for weeks and then eventually you go in and one of the buttons would be stuck or not working anymore. Happened is bound to happen at some point. You're going to have an issue. It's not the fault of anything. It just sometimes it happens like a a a cable will get like undone or a button will get stuck something you know it's nice to be able to easily access things to troubleshoot to change button check the cables you know stuff like that right so this panel just easily opens up

7:00 very nicely opens up you have access and if you want to take the panel off it has these latches inside that you can undo to take the whole panel off and it's very sturdy. It's not some flimsy thing that is just going to fall off, right? Like I received this this machine on a pallet like you know on a diesel truck. They brought it out and you know wheeled it up and everything and nothing was falling apart. Like everything was sturdy here when I received it. Just the the build quality overall is is very nice and you know everything looks great. So yeah, the way they have things set up, artwork is looking good, covered in acrylic. seems like it'll last a lifetime. Um, now just, you know, straight up, the cabinet that I have here is one of the more basic ones you

7:47 could get. I mean, it you could go even ba more basic than this, but I still think it's pretty awesome. Uh, it is really all about customizing things. Now, you could see the portfolio of other machines that they have uh built on their website to get an idea of what else can be done. They have a lot of awesome stuff here. uh you know, but hey, the build that they they sent with this uh the Hypers Spin build, a lot of awesome games you could play on here. Not really highlighting everything that's available on there, but there's like tens of thousands of games, everything you could think of. Hyperspin's very flashy. I've shown Hypers Spin quite a bit on this channel. Uh but yeah, it's about it's about customizing. If you're interested, uh link will be down below if you want to check these guys out. Big boy machines.

8:33 Crazy stuff that they're doing here. Check them out. Thanks for watching. Bye. [Music] [Music]
