0:03 hey you i'm ashley weston celebrity menswear stylist joined by dorian i'm mrs partner hey and good sidekick i'm the robin deere batman there we go well anyways okay so today's topic um we've talked a lot about how important it is to constantly you know clean out your wardrobe clean out your closet get rid of the old or the dingy or the out of style items that might be you know still kind of hanging out in your closet you do that with your clothes you gotta do it with your shoes as well because with your shoes they're a really important piece of your overall outfit if you have an out-of-date shoe or a shoe that has seen better days you know it's just going to ruin it sorry you said this before

0:48 women's eyes naturally obviously face but the next thing or first thing depending on where they're looking is your shoes yeah so let's talk about the shoe styles women hate [Music] number five square toed dress shoes and dress boots you've been talking about this since we started the channel basically yes way back in the holicon days of early early channel stuff it's always gonna make the list no matter what the reason why it's still on this list is because it's been making a comeback more recently and i've been seeing them everywhere square toad dress boots like chelsea boots square toe dress shoes really yes and i think it has to do because you know obviously old trends are always going to come back

1:33 and this is nine is this like a 90s like ironic like yes dad so you know all the stylish you know cool kids you know cool kids and quotes like all want to wear the square toad dress shoe and some even like super stylish fashion forward um actors out there are wearing them on the red carpet however it still doesn't look good at all so please if you have any square towed anything or you're thinking about hopping onto that bandwagon don't i'm telling you it is a waste of money it will never look good i don't care how you style it you know what's sad back in the day i definitely had square toe dress shoes and i thought they were like the coolest thing ever because admittedly this was the 90s this is when they were cool

2:19 but now i see pictures and i'm like yeah no i i don't know what i was thinking the next one is white loafers and or loafers with contrasting stitching if there's something about it that looks like you are trying to dress well but it's like you can't put your finger like a woman may not be able to put their finger on it but they're just like oh man that just looks really like out of date there's a tackiness that's associated with the look of those kinds of loafers and or those color schemes and so that's why i always encourage you guys to if you're going to get a loafer make sure that the stitching even with dress shoes with any type of shoe you want to make sure the stitching is the same color as the overall shoe as close as possible as close as possible and the third style that women hate is

3:07 flip-flops so no matter i don't care if you get a pedicure every single week no man's feet ever looks delicious are there women no one wants to see that no woman wants to see men's feet they never look they you know are there men are there women with like feet there has to be i'm sure there are but i haven't met him i've never seen him i'm talking about the majority of women out there we're not talking about the little tiny percent 0.001 percentile of an outlier you guys have hair on your toes you've got like sometimes some toenail issues okay dry feet whatever you may think your feet look cute but for women they're never gonna look cute okay so unless you're going to the beach or you know going to a swimming pool unless there's a good reason for wearing

3:53 them because they slip off and on very easily because you're not going to be wearing them all day long that's when you should own them i just saw this the other day there was these two guys and you could tell they're clearly not from l.a but they came to l.a went oh this is great it's warm weather so they've pulled out their flip-flops and they're big old faded baggy jeans and they're walking around warm weather does not give you permission to wear flip-flops around okay good note good note and number two on the list ash i was a little surprised by this but it's like those well i'm not surprised actually because i saw some pictures i went oh okay that that makes a little more sense uh it's like those chunky basketball or like gym sneakers but they're not the like fashion ones they're like we would call them well everyone in my industry calls them lifestyle

4:39 i always think of like those old older looking like basketball shoes like i'll be blunt kind of nerds wear them and they're like really high tops and they're designed really weird like there's no design to it they're just kind of funky looking and then they're wearing them with shorts or like khaki pants and you're like oh man i'm talking about sneakers that really should just be reserved for the gym you should not be wearing them in your day-to-day life and but if you are wearing them in your day-to-day life what is the recommendation donate them throw it don't just don't and the number one shoe style women hate is before we get into that oh you got me on this side i was like okay what is it well come on guys you know it's time if you've been enjoying this video please let us know by giving you a thumbs up
