0:00 Kidney failure doesn't start with pain. It starts with subtle body signals most people ignore. I'll show you the one sign your body gives that your kidneys are in trouble, even if your labs look normal. Catch this early and you could avoid long-term damage. Don't wait for your doctors to tell you this because they often don't. I don't know if you knew this, but your kidneys could lose up to 80% of their function before a single symptom appears. By the time traditional medicine and labs pick it up, it's often too late. So today, we're going to expose the number one early warning sign of kidney decline, and then I'll show you how to reverse it using researchedbacked protocols. Let's get right into the first sign right now. The earliest

0:45 warning signs that your kidneys are failing is going to be foamy, bubbly urine. Even if this happens occasionally, if your urine looks frothly or bubbly, especially first thing in the morning, that can mean that proteins are leaking through your kidneys filters. This is called micro albamin ura, and it's one of the earliest markers of kidney disease. Studies in the journal of clinical investigation show that even mild protein leakage predicts kidney disease 10 years before standard labs catch it. The studies also show that people with intermittent fomy urine had a significantly higher likelihood of developing chronic kidney disease. Now, unfortunately, most doctors say, "Hey,

1:32 your GFR," which is a lab test they run on your kidneys. It looks normal, nothing to worry about. But here's the thing. GFR usually drops long after damage is already happening. Foamy urine is often the very first red flag. The second warning sign is going to be constant fatigue. This isn't just about being tired. You see, when kidneys struggle, they produce less EPO. This is a hormone that stimulates red blood cells, and as a result, you get low oxygen delivery, which contributes to fatigue, brain fog, and even shortness of breath. Human research from the American Society of Nephrology shows that low-grade anemia shows up years before kidney failure. So, if you're eating clean, fasting, taking

2:18 supplements, but still feeling exhausted, don't ignore it. The third warning sign is waking up with puffy eyes. You see, when filtration drops, fluid shifts to the periorbital area. This is the soft tissue around your eyes. If you wake up puffy, swollen, or with bags you never had before, that's a possible kidney issue. A research study in the Journal of Renal Nutrition notes eye puffiness correlates with sodium retention and early kidney stress. Warning sign number four, lower back discomfort not related to movement. You see, kidney discomfort isn't muscular. It's a deep dull ache under the rib cage on either side. And this can appear early when the kidneys are inflamed. Warning sign number five, metallic taste

3:05 in your mouth. This is pretty wild. When kidneys can't clear waste efficiently, ura builds up and bacteria convert it into ammonia and you literally taste it in your mouth. People describe this as metallic sour bitter and chemical-like. This is a classic sign of declining filtration. Warning sign number six, itchy skin. You see, kidneys regulate minerals and electrolytes. When they struggle, phosphorus builds up causing chronic itching. This is one of the most overlooked signs of kidneys that are failing. Warning sign number seven, frequent nighttime urination. Are you waking up two to four times overnight to pee? It's not just hydration. It can be a filtration

3:52 problem. Research shows that nocturia, nighttime urination, is one of the earliest signs of reduced kidney concentrating ability. Now that we've uncovered the signs, let's discuss why kidneys actually begin to fail and then put a protocol in place for you. And here's the thing, most of it has nothing to do with genetics. The number one root cause of why the kidneys are failing, it's going to be insulin resistance. High levels of the hormone insulin stiffens your blood vessels because it lowers something called nitric oxide. This then thickens the glomeily which essentially accelerates kidney decline. Human studies show that insulin resistance is one of the strongest predictors of chronic kidney disease. Get this. Even when your blood sugars are normal and even when your A1C levels

4:38 are normal, which is a lab test looking at the 3 months of your blood sugar levels. That's because you could have full-blown insulin resistance on average for 6 to 14 years without your blood sugar shifting a bit. And I share so much more in my latest New York Times bestselling book, Metabolic Freedom, which you could get with a free course on the metabolism over at metabolicfreedombook.com. That's why it's so important to test, as I talk about in the book, your blood test called fasting insulin. And you want to get that between three and six, which means you're insulin sensitive. Anything over six, that's a problem. The second root cause of kidney failure is chronic inflammation. You see, inflammation literally scars kidney tissues. This is called fibrosis.

5:23 Research in nature reviews nephrology shows inflammation is the final common pathway for nearly all kidney disease. Okay, so part of your protocol will be designed to lower insulin and lower inflammation. Root cause number three, high levels of uric acid. High uric acid directly injures the nefrons which are the microscopic kidney filters. This is linked to fatty liver, metabolic syndrome, and hypertension, high blood pressure. Dr. Richard Johnson, who I've had on my Metabolic Freedom podcast before, his research shows that fructose is the biggest trigger. Okay, you're going to find fructose and of course high fructose corn syrup, which hides in oatmeal, protein bars, condiments like ketchup, mustard, and barbecue sauce. But even excess fruit, concentrated

6:10 fruit like fruit juices and smoothies can also be problematic. It is high in fructose. This raises uric acid levels and again directly injures the nephrons. Root cause number four, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Most people drink water but not minerals. That creates stress on the kidneys. So I recommend using a high quality mineral which we'll talk about later. Root cause number five, NSAIDs, which stand for nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications. For example, [snorts] ibuprofen and similar drugs reduce blood flow to the kidney filtration units. Now, let's discuss the kidney regeneration protocol. This is your metabolic freedom style kidney

6:56 reset and regeneration protocol. It's built on human research and clinically proven strategies. Step one, the renal reset morning drink. This resets hydration and filtration. So upon waking up, before your coffee, before breakfast, I want you to make the following drink and consume it. 12 to 16 ounces of filtered or spring water. A pinch of high quality sea salt. The one I recommend is from Redmond's. They have a salt called Redmond's real salt. You could get their salt with a discount over at ketoampsalt.com and use the coupon code. We'll reference that link in the notes down below. Then you want to include 1 tablespoon of raw, organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. You're going to mix this together and drink it through a straw. And here's why

7:42 this works. Sodium and potassium restores the kidney's filtration gradient. Apple cider vinegar supports insulin sensitivity and the overall hydration boosts gluial filtration rate, your GFR. Human studies show adequate hydration reduces kidney stone risk and improves kidney clearance. Step two in your protocol is to reduce fructose to nearly zero for at least the next 30 days. This single step alone can dramatically lower uric acid levels and kidney inflammation. Human studies, especially one that came out of the University of Colorado, shows fructose equals a uric acid surge, which then damages injures your kidneys. So, where are you going to find fructose? Here's the list of items I want you to remove

8:27 at least for the next 30 days. All soda, fruit juices, and smoothies, table sugar, agave nectar, processed foods, and even excess whole fruit if you're metabolically unhealthy. This, my friend, is foundational. Step three in your protocol is to replace seed oils, vegetable oils, with kidneys safe fats. You see, seed oils are processed fats that are highly oxidative, highly inflammation. They create oxidative stress in your body and endothelial damage. So you want to replace the following nine fats with healthier options. So here are the ones you want to remove. Canola oil called rape seed oil in the UK, corn oil, cottonseed oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, safflower oil, rice brand oil, and grape seed oil.

9:15 Those are eight vegetable oils that are inflammatory. I said nine though. What's the ninth one? Fish oil is also inflammatory. I would recommend removing that as well. These are called polyunsaturated fats. They're very unstable and inflammatory and they stay in your body for years, very long time. You want to replace it with kidney healing fats. These are going to be saturated fats and monounsaturated fats. So this includes beef tallow, which is great to cook your foods in, avocado oil, coconut oil, butter, ghee, and my personal favorite is organic extravirgin olive oil, especially when it's high in polyphenols, cold pressed first harvest. I mean, there's a lot of different things you want to look for with olive oil. Uh, the one that I use is from the fresh pressed olive oil club. Hands down

10:00 the cleanest, healthiest, best tasting olive oil in the world, and it automatically lowers inflammation in your body. You can get actually a bottle for free from the FreshPressed olive oil club. When you buy two bottles, the third bottle is free. This is only for you. If you go to benazadi.com/ olive oil, you could claim that and I'll drop that link down below. The reason why I'm speaking so much about olive oil is cuz real olive oil cuz most of the stuff out there is crap. About 70% of it is is not healthy for you. But real healthy olive oil studies show that polyphenols in it like the oolioanthals and others reduce kidney inflammation markers like IL6 and TNF alpha. Step four in your protocol, add these four kidney support supplements. Now this is optional. Some people don't have a

10:46 budget for supplements. So if you don't have that budget, you could skip this part. You could still do the first three steps and you will benefit. But if you really want to get faster, better results, I would add in either all four of these supplements or choose the one that you want. Supplement number one is a product called K Kidney from systemic formulas. Kney has been shown to strengthen kidney function, build kidney tissue, support proper drainage during detox, and it contains an incredible blend of different herbs and nutrients that support kidney function. So, the way that I have my students take it is two capsules every day of K Kidney with food. You can find K Kidney over at keto camp supplements.com. We'll drop that link down below. The second supplement is going to be NAC.

11:32 NAC boosts glutathione, the kidney's preferred antioxidant. It's actually used in hospitals for kidney protection during contrast scans. The product that I use is from Clear Labs. It's called NAC. And I recommend one to two capsules per day with food. Again, you could find this one over at ketoampsuppleupplements.com. Just type in NAC in the search bar. We'll also drop a link down below. The third supplement is magnesium glycinate. Magnesium can help regulate electrolytes and lower kidney stone risk. The one that I recommend today is going to be the magnesium glycinate from True Cellular Formulas called MG10X. It actually has different blends of magnesium which includes magnesium glycinate. You can find that over at ketoampsupplements.com. The fourth and final supplement is

12:19 Dmanos. Human trials show it reduces reoccurrent UTI, urinary tract infections by protecting the kidneys versus bacterial stress. Dmanos product that I use is from pure encapsulations called cranberry/ dmanos. And just follow the label on that for the dosage and I'll drop a link for that in the notes down below. The fifth step in your protocol is going to be to allow this kidney reset window, which means stop eating at least 3 hours before bed. Look, nighttime eating elevates insulin, which reduces nighttime kidney filtration rate. Studies show kidney blood flow drops when insulin is high. So, this simple habit here of no food at least 3 hours before bed give your kidneys a rest period. Step six in your protocol is a 24-hour kidney reset fast.

13:07 Once per week, you want to complete a 24-hour water fast where you only have water, electrolytes, organic black coffee, like Purity Coffee. Hands down my favorite. You can actually get them with a nice discount over at purity coffee.com/benazati. But no food for 24 hours. So, a lot of my students like to do this from Sunday to Monday. Let's say you're done eating Sunday at 6 p.m. You're going to fast until Monday at 6 p.m. 24 hours without food. Fasting increases autophagy in the kidneys and helps to break down damaged cells within the kidneys. Human studies show fasting reduces inflammation and improves kidney markers. And the seventh and final step in your protocol is the vitamin G protocol. Vitamin G is vitamin gratitude. Gratitude lowers your sympathetic stress, your fight orflight

13:54 adrenaline cortisol response. This directly improves kidney function. You see, chronic stimulation of your sympathetic nervous system constricts renal arteries. A 2020 study, human study, showed that feeling gratitude, practicing gratitude improved kidney blood flow markers by reducing norepinephrine. Vitamin G is metabolic medicine. So, every morning, think of three things you're grateful for. Feel that gratitude, get that vitamin G, lower stress, and heal your kidneys. Look, if you notice any of the warning signs I outlined today, especially the foamy urine, don't ignore it. Your kidneys are whispering long before they scream. You now have the tools that catch problems early and begin healing naturally.

14:39 Follow the protocol. Give it 30 days and watch what it does for you. Now, I'm going to address the questions you submitted on this topic. Before I do, I want to give you a valuable free resource. Look, you've been lied to. Some of the healthiest vegetables you eat every day are silently wrecking your gut, inflaming your body, and locking fat around your belly. I put together a free guide breaking down the five vegetables you must avoid if you want real fat loss and what to eat instead to reset your metabolism fast. This is the truth your doctor won't tell you, but your belly fat already knows. Click the first link in the description box below or scan the QR code on the screen to grab your avoid list now. less inflammation, less confusion, and a lot less belly fat. Seven days or less. Now, let's get to your questions. How much

15:26 water is too much water when trying to support the kidneys? We we've heard about this rule of thumb. Drink half your body weight in ounces every day. I used to say that maybe 10 years ago. I don't really agree with that suggestion anymore. Number one, it should be high quality water. either reverse osmosis filtered water with minerals added back in or natural spring water. Uh my favorite in terms of the ones you could find at supermarket in the US would be Mountain Valley, Saratoga Springs. I like Icelandic water as well. Glass is always preferred. But always add in minerals. And I mentioned earlier that minerals are so important for your kidneys. And the one that I use, the minerals that I use every day and I would recommend this for you is going to be beam minerals. It's fulvic. It's humic. highquality, amazing minerals

16:12 that support the body. You can get Beam Minerals with a nice discount over at beamminerals.com/ketoamp and use the coupon code keto camp with a K for 20% off. Can keto or high protein hurt the kidneys? Look, if you already have kidneys that are not functioning optimally, um then having a a ton of protein, especially a lot of protein in one sitting, probably not a good idea. It's probably a better idea to not have low protein, but maybe spread out your protein. So, if you're doing like one meal a day, OMAD, and in that one meal, you're having a ton of protein and you have these early warning signs going on with your kidneys, it's probably a good idea to stop the one meal a day and

16:57 maybe spread out the protein from one meal to two or three meals. That's the protocol. Hope this makes a big difference. Share this with somebody you know, follow the protocol, and let me know how it goes for you. Thank you for watching. Thank you for listening. And hey, if you love this lesson, I just published a brand new lesson on three hidden signs your liver is in trouble that most people ignore. And unfortunately, again, doctors miss it. Here's a clip from that video. Then click the video on the screen and I'll see you in the next lesson. And reverse the damage before it's too late. You see, your liver is your silent superhero. Consider your liver your metabolic control center. It detoxifies your blood, helps you burn fat, balances your hormones, and it converts food into energy. But here's the scary part. You
