Photo2Calendar

InstallerX Revived

Material Capsule

Pix Material Expressive

Awake

TapTap Lock

Edge SmartThings

Nothing Glyphify

ComposePDF

Photo Swooper

Draw Anywhere

Force Stop Helper

ScorePeek

Convertit

Widgetify

0:00 Welcome back to the best Android apps of the month. This time for September 2025. First up, photo to calendar. If you're tired of manually creating calendar events, especially for those huge, tedious school schedules with all your weekly classes, this is going to save you a bunch of time. All you do is take a screenshot or snap a photo of your schedule, share it with the Photo Calendar app, and boom, it'll scan everything, use Gemini to process it, and then it'll create all your events in seconds. From there, you can quickly double check everything like tweak the events if you want them to repeat or maybe add reminders and then you can add them all to your Google calendar with a super easy Tinder swipe emotion. It's pretty great. Plus, it works for any event that you found online or maybe you

0:46 received through an email. You can just screenshot that and share it to the app and it'll work the same way, too. It works really well. No longer do you need to create events manually. Huge thanks to much 1486 for recommending this app to me on my how to my Reddit page. If you have an app too that you like to recommend for the next episode, drop it there and if I choose it, I'll be sure to give you a shout out in the next episode. Here's another cool one. Installer X Revive is a must cuz it literally replaces your default APK installer on your phone with something way, way better. Anytime you download an app outside of the Play Store, it'll give you way more control. like the installation menu itself looks a million times cleaner, showing you the version you're upgrading to, giving you the option to autodelete the APK after it's installed, and even showing you the SDK

1:33 info. Plus, if you're dealing with a split APK off APK mirror, you no longer have to rely on annoying apps like APK Mirror Installer, which forces you to watch a full screen advertisement every single time you just want to install something. Installer X just handles it automatically, and it also still lets you select different packages, too. That's just the start. Inside the app, you can even set it up to do things like have it automatically grant all the permissions that the apps needs on install, or it can even bypass Android's rule that blocks installing older versions of apps. It can also allow downgrades to occur and automatically allow the restricted settings permission so that you don't have to use your fingerprint in the app info page every time you just install an app outside the Play Store. It works incredibly well. It

2:19 does require an app called Shizuku to run or if you're rooted, you can use that, too. But if you're not sure how to set up Shizuku, don't worry. I'll link a quick tutorial in the cards to a short that I made that shows you how to get it running fast. Also, another huge shout out to original thing 8770 for recommending me Installer X Revived on my Reddit page at the beginning of last month. Thanks, man. And hey, those are just two out of the 15 apps that I got for you this month. As always, I'm just one guy digging up these hidden gems for you. So, if you end up downloading even one app from this entire list, do me a favor and just drop a quick thumbs up. Last month's episode for August, we hit around 12,000 likes, which is absolutely insane. Maybe this time we can go for even higher. Maybe 13,000 or maybe even 15. That'd be crazy. Let's see if we can

3:06 do it. Oh, and stick around to the end. I've saved the best app on this list for last. But for now, let's keep going. Material Capsule makes way better use of your camera hole punch. For example, when I turn on the flashlight, a little pill pops up around the camera cutout with an icon so I know it's on. Or if I'm listening to music, it'll also expand to show me the album art. And yeah, it is kind of like Apple's dynamic island feature, but honestly, it's a lot less intrusive, and it's very seamless, too. You can even tap on the pill to pull up these really nice looking cards that let you control the music, adjust the volume or brightness, toggle the flashlight, pull up a custom barcode. Super handy for events, too. Or you can quickly access your favorite apps and contacts. The animations are so well done, too, that it honestly feels like

3:52 it's built right into the system. And to make it even better, it's all designed with the new Material 3 Expressive language, so it looks incredible. Now, you can download and use most of its features for free, but some of them, such as having unlimited cards or enhanced customization, are behind a payw wall. Luckily, I reached out to the developer, and he was awesome enough to give me a 100 promo codes to give away on my Patreon. So, if you want one, just head over there and sign up. Oh, and before I forget, some of you might not know, but I've also started a new monthly series called Best Useful Tech of the Month, where I highlight cheap but genuinely useful awesome gadgets that you might want to buy. For instance, last month I showed off a wireless magnetic monitor that attaches to the back of your phone, so that way you can see your rear cameras and use it as a selfie setup. Or I also showed off

4:38 this $6 cable organizer that easily winds up your cables or smart buttons that control any device in your home with a single press. That's just a few out of the 12 cool items in the first episode and the second one is coming out in a few days. So, make sure you get subscribed so that you don't miss out. Anyway, you know how the pixel launcher or most stock launchers really let you theme your icons to match your wallpaper colors, but then some random apps don't match because the developers never bothered adding monotheing to them. Super annoying, right? Well, guess what? There's actually a way to force every single icon on your home screen to match that sweet MaterialU theme, even if it doesn't support thirdparty icon packs. Here's the trick. First, you got to download one of these icon packs. There's Pixel Material Expressive if

5:24 you're more of a pixel person or OneU themed icon pack if you're into more of a Samsung style. Then once you have one of those apps installed, you can head into your widgets panel, find the icon widget from that app, and plop it right onto your home screen. From that widget, you can pick any app, choose the icon shape, resize it, everything. Once you back out to your home screen, bam, you've got a perfectly themed icon that matches the others and opens the app just like normal. The animations might not be as seamless as regular icons, but it's still a really slick little hack that you can do. Now, both icon packs do cost a couple of bucks to download, which is totally fair. But a massive shout out to the developer, Pasha Puma, who hooked me up with 200 promo codes to give away on my Patreon, so you can snag

6:11 them for free if you want over there. Next up is Awake. And this might just be the best new alarm clock app that you can get. It looks a lot like the Google Clock app, which is great cuz it feels familiar, but it's packed with features designed to actually get you out of bed. It has these things called missions that you can add to any alarm. For the free version, you can do stuff like solve a math problem, memorize tile positions, or even just shake your phone to stop the alarm. But the premium missions are where things get really wild. It can make you do things like get up and scan a specific object in the house with AI, or even prove that you turned on a light, show your face, and smile to turn it off. Hell, there's even a knockoff Flappy Bird game that you have to play and try to beat. It's absolutely

6:56 ridiculous and will 100% wake you up. It's also got a ton of other cool stuff like a sleep scheduleuler that helps you aim for a certain numbers of sleep hours, uh, shows you all your upcoming events, lets you make quick alarms, too. basically like alarm timers and even has a slick timer and stopwatch design that honestly I think looks way better than Google's. That's just the tip of the iceberg, though. There are so many more features packed into this app. And yeah, some features are behind a subscription, but the developer was actually nice enough to give me 250 promo codes to share my Patreon. So, yeah, that's four free apps already if you've been keeping count. Okay, check this out. If I double tap right here on this specific spot on my home screen, my phone locks. But if I double tap anywhere else, nothing

7:43 happens. Pretty cool, right? I did this with an app called Tap Tap Lock. It basically lets me put an invisible widget on my home screen that locks my phone whenever I double tap it. Or I can even do a single tap if I choose that option in the settings. The nice part is that when you lock it, it doesn't disable your fingerprint or face unlock. So, it's still just as convenient to get back in. And sure, most Android phones already have a double tap to sleep feature, but the problem with that is that it works anywhere on the home screen, which means you can trigger it by accident. Having it in one specific spot, though, is just so much more intentional and avoids those mistakes. Next, if you're rocking a Samsung, this next one's just for you. It's called Edge Smart Things, and it does cost $2. What this does is it lets you add all

8:30 your favorite smart home scenes and smart devices right to your edge panel. So you can toggle routines, smart home products like your TV, control your lights, anything you normally do within the Smart Things app right from the edge of your screen, no matter what app you're in, too. It even automatically syncs all your scenes once you log into your Samsung account, which makes it effortless to set up. So, the other day I was shopping on this clothing site, looking around when randomly a pop-up appeared offering me 15% off for just signing up with my information. Obviously, I didn't want to hand over my real details and get spammed. So, I just used Surf Shark's alternative ID, the sponsor of this video, to instantly generate a totally random fake persona that includes a completely new name, email, an address, and even a phone

9:16 number if I wanted to. and boom, I got the discount without giving away who I actually was. And that's just one of the ways that Surf Shark keeps me anonymous online. Honestly, it's the most affordable VPN out there, too. It costs less than a Starbucks coffee each month. It also comes in handy when I travel cuz streaming sites like Netflix or YouTube sometimes block certain videos depending on where you are. But with Surf Shark, I can just switch my location and watch whatever I want. Plus, if I'm on sketchy public Wi-Fi at a hotel or a cafe, it stops anyone from snooping on my online activities. And no matter where I am, it automatically blocks millions of known malicious sites, fishing scams, and all those sneaky online threats that target unprotected devices. So yeah, if you want to browse the internet anonymously

10:02 and securely for cheap, head over to surfark.com/htm and make sure to use code htm at checkout to get an extra 4 months for free on me. Seriously, that's a steal. Don't sleep on it. Now, if you have a nothing phone, this one's for you. It's called Nothing Glyphify, and it basically unlocks the full potential of those glyph lights on the back of your phone. For instance, it lets you remap each individual light to any specific app or contact that you'd like. So, anytime you receive a notification from them, you'll instantly see that light strip on the back turn on. It also brings back the charging meter and even shows you the battery level when it's unplugged. Plus, it gets even crazier. For the phone 3, for example, you have extra little glyph toys, like there's a little maze game that you can play right

10:49 on that circular screen. You have a one-tap contact dialer. And for every other nothing phone, they even have tools to autocreate ringtones that sync perfectly with your light patterns. Honestly, it feels like the stuff that Nothing should have built into the OS from day one, but didn't. And the best part is that it works on every nothing phone out there. Moving on, Compose PDF excels in one area, PDF merging. It lets you merge multiple PDFs, throw in images, reorder pages however you want, and mix them all together in one clean workspace. Normally in other PDF apps, you'd have to bounce between three or four tools just to merge, reorder, and add a cover image. Compose PDF does it all in one go. It's a massive timesaver.

11:36 Plus, unlike many other PDF apps out there, this one even works completely offline, is totally free, and never adds a watermark to any of your files. Is your photo gallery starting to become a complete mess? Check out this free and open source app called Photo Swooper, which makes cleaning it up way more fun. It's basically Tinder for your photos. You just swipe through, delete the junk, and keep the valuables quickly and easily. There's even an undo button if you change your mind. And the bouncy animations, too, honestly feel really satisfying as you swipe through. It's lightweight, super clean, and honestly makes organizing your gallery way less of a chore. Next is Draw Anywhere. And as the name suggests, it lets you doodle or write directly on your screen, no matter what app you're in. Super handy

12:22 if you're following a tutorial, annotating something like a PDF, or just doing a presentation, or even just circling something important within a screenshot. It's also customizable, too, letting you tweak the brush size and color, undo your mistakes, and even enable touch pass through so that you can still interact with the app or your screen underneath your drawing. It's one of those apps that just thinks outside the box. If you're sick of digging through settings just to for stop an app, Forstop Helper makes the whole process way easier. It's a lightweight, open-source tool that shows you all your running apps and lets you jump straight to your info page with a single tap so that you can shut them down fast. You can even pin your mostused apps or those buggy beta ones that always crash to the

13:09 top for quick access. It's not the most impressive app out there, but it's super handy if you're constantly dealing with unstable apps. Honestly, the only thing missing though is the option to add shortcuts right to your home screen. That would make force closing apps even quicker. Next up, sports fans are going to love this one. Score Peak puts live game scores right on your always on display or on the standby display if your phone's sitting on a wireless charger. That means you can keep up with real-time updates with those scores and everything about the game without even needing to unlock your phone. And plus, it covers a lot of sports, too. You got football, basketball, soccer or football, uh, tennis, and more. And for some, it even shows live commentary at the bottom, too. And anytime someone scores or does a touchdown, you'll even

13:55 get full screen alerts for those big events. I also love how clean the UI is and how it shows everything, not just the score, but who scored and all the key stats. It's an absolute must have for any sports fan. Now, if you ever mess around with audio files, Convert It is going to be your new best friend. It's an open- source audio converter that supports a ton of different formats, too. It's perfect for cleaning up your music library, extracting audio from videos, or just converting files into something your device can actually play. Plus, unlike most other apps that do this, Convert It doesn't shove ads in your face, trackers, or any subscriptions. It just converts for free without any of the BS. Let's be real, Spotify's own widgets are still pretty bad. They're huge, not very customizable, and the button layout is

14:42 just awkward. Plus, most of us change tracks from the notification shade or the lock screen anyway. Instead, you should just check out Widgetify for Spotify. It lets you put your favorite music, playlist, and podcast directly on your home screen. You can display them in clean grid layouts, and the widgets are extremely resizable. You can even create smart collections to organize playlists by your mood, genre, or what you're doing, and they update automatically. It's perfect for anyone who wants faster access to their tunes. Plus, it's adree and free to download. Anyway, tap this card right here to check out a review I did of the thinnest and lightest foldable on the market right now. Or you can tap on this one to check out my top tech series that I just released. If you ended up downloading

15:27 even one app on this entire list, just drop a thumbs up. It really helps out. Thanks for sticking around to the end and I'll catch you guys in the next one. Kapow. Another one.
