0:00 Allah subhana wa ta'ala he says this is a verse where Allah subhana t is talking about creating the sun and the moon and the stars then he says they're all subjugated to his command to Allah belongs the created realm and the command blessed Is Allah the Lord of the worlds? What do we understand from this? That Allah subhana wa ta'ala veils like a curtain. He camouflages his command that has the actual effect with the because the are a test like the sun, the moon, all these things that you see because

0:46 Allah subhana ta says so it's it's a type of test that I have to pierce through. So the point of therefore the of the and the so what's the point it's to test the believer and it's for the comfort of the non-believer. Could we talk a little bit more about decoding asbab and how we can decode these asb? Absolutely. Because our life is packed with these worldly means. So by asbab they're typically things that we see we perceive have some bring about some sort of effect. Like if I look at the sun, it seems like it appears to be that the light is coming from the sun. If I look at the clouds, it appears to be that the

1:33 rain is coming down from the clouds. That's what Allah is showing us. But like we said, it's for the of a believer that the believer is he's being tested with what he perceives. So the point is that ultimately it is the command that has the effect. Look at the time of death. right now. Do you see me, Leah? Yes. Can you hear me? Yes. Can you speak? Yes. Can you move your hand? Yes. Absolutely. I should be able cuz you're alive. Making sure. Yeah. But you're alive. No, you're alive. Okay. Let's say inshallah after a long life, the angel of death were to come right now and he were to take your life. You take your life. Okay. No, it it is a podcast. It is a message, but your life. I need to be here to tell them a little bit more. Give me some time before I

2:20 leave here. Absolutely. Okay. So Allah subhana w ta'ala he is testing us with these things. So when the angel of death comes to take your life what is he taking? Spirit right the naps. Okay he's taking it out. Okay so now let's say that he does his job the angel of death. Yes. And it's just your body there. Does the eye now see me? The same eye that saw me before you died? No. No. Can the ear hear me? No. No. What was removed from you? The soul. The spirit. And what does Allah say about the he says they ask you about the spirit tell them that it is from the command of Allah. So what was removed from you the

3:07 was the command of Allah. So you actually see by the command of Allah and you hear of Allah because when it was removed you could no longer see nor could you hear the they're veiling what's really happening behind the scenes. It is Allah's command that is doing but Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala operates in three different ways. He does typically 99.9% of the time because this is the is the world of means because we're being tested. So Allah 99.9% of the time he's doing and operating through asbab. But it's important to understand that throughb doesn't mean that the sab is doing. It's

3:52 only appearing to do. It's a trick of the eye. Even Allah says at the time of death so it's like it's like I remove the veil I remove the cover now you could see what you couldn't see before means sharp you could catch what and even you know there's a very interesting thing here why did he say iron is the only element that didn't originate from earth says science has found that comets because it's too it needs a very hot environment to develop or to be. So Allah subhana wa ta'ala there were comets supernova stars that exploded and this element of came down. So Allah says so is it from this

4:39 earth or out of this world? Out of this world. It's out of this world. So it's as if Allah is saying you're going to see things now outside of the world. It's outside of this world. You're being tested but Allah is operating through the means. Again, what does that mean? that Allah is doing but he's simply veiling this activity with the worldly phenomena the he created the sun and the moon and the stars and they're subjected to Allah's command the sun is veiling the fact that it is Allah Allah it is him that provides the light the light doesn't come from the sun but it doesn't mean that we Don't utilize the

5:25 asbab. Now we said Allah operates in three ways. Let's mention them first. Allah operates through the means, without the means and against the means. So let's take Allah subhana t operates through the means. His doing but veiling his doing with the worldly phenomena. Beautiful. Without the means. Okay. So how how is that? She's stuck in the she's locked in. And he's giving her the fruits of the winter in the summer. Yes. And the fruits of the summer and the winter. Yeah. 100%. She couldn't have gotten that from, you know, go going

6:11 shopping or anything like that. So it's like this means that Allah provided for her without means. And there are times that Allah operates against the means. When Ibraimisam was thrown into the fire, the fire typically does what? Burning. Through the command of Allah. Now Allah removed. He changing his command that is typically appearing through the means of fire. Now he says be cool. If he stopped at cool, he would have froze to death. So he said and peaceful specifically now because they say when Allah contact or spoke to the fire all the fire in the universe is now

6:56 listening to the of Allah. But when he says only on Ibraim they say they stripped him naked and he was tied with a rope. The rope that his hands were tied to burnt but not a single hair on Ibraim. Burnt. This is the of Allah. So Allah operates through the means. Allah operates without the means and Allah operates against the means. So the is from Allah. So you cannot be mad at any sab. When some some people I don't know if if I can say that word they curse the oh man it rained. Oh whatever the rain. Oh man it what? No. This is this is from Allah. Absolutely. So that's why they say it's haram to curse or to to how how can we put it in a good sentence where we could say

7:42 we don't want to say anything bad about the we don't even want to leave the yes we actually the he has a beautiful saying he says The point is to spend it. Absolutely. If you have some means, you have some money, spend it in a way that's pleasing to Allah. But to negate it. What is the meaning of to negate it? It doesn't mean that you leave it. It's see Allah. Allah put his commands in the means. So if you turn your back to the means, you're going to leave out some of the

8:28 commands of Allah. Your dean will not be complete. I don't want to get married. You know what? I never want to get married. Okay. What about if you don't get married bro you're not going to fulfill that hadith your dean will be at that point. So we are not against the it's the house of means. However, we don't want to rely on the meaning the the actual purpose and goal of is to fulfill God's command in the now watch this. Allah tells M what he says what happens when he struck the Red Sea with his staff. What happened? The sea

9:16 split. Now it's very interesting. People don't catch the rest of it. After he crossed and Fyon was behind him and they made it safely to the other side. Allah now tells MS he says leave it. Why did he tell him to leave it? In some of the tapas, Musa after he crossed, he started striking the sea again so it can close. But now the command of Allah wasn't there. He didn't tell him. So he said, "No, now follow the commands, man. You'll be happy. We take the when Allah commands us to and we leave the asbab when Allah commands us to." How beautiful is understanding the asbab? Subhan Allah.

10:01 How how much would you enjoy life if you really believe in every sab that's happening in your life? There's a good reason behind this and it's from Allah's command. Mhm. And you'll just feel safe. Very safe. You'll feel complete. You'll feel this is God, man. This is God who's doing everything right around me. Every Sabbath happening around me, it's happening for a reason. Well, let me ask you a question. Is uh what do you think about when you're hungry? food most of us hopefully there's pretty good food in Jordan absolutely okay so your heart turns usually to food and then you eat the food and typically it fulfills your hunger but now we understood from this that so in reality it is not the food that

10:48 removes hunger or satiates hunger it is the command of Allah it is not the water that quenches thirst it is the command of Allah we need to Understand this. This is very important because when I ask most people why do you eat? The majority of people will say because I'm hungry. Hungry. But the believer doesn't. He's commandoriented. He doesn't eat because he's hungry. Let me give you an example. There is people like this. Most of us most of us eat because we're hungry. No, there's people that eat the the other side the other side. Very few to follow the command of Allah because look at this. uh one of our sh he was passing by a group of people and they had someone responsible for them that's very righteous religious and he was giving them advice oh brothers when you eat eat with the intention to gain

11:34 strength to pray to worship Allah so the one of our mah on the next level you know he passed by he said mashallah since when does food give you strength o there's nothing wrong with eating with that intention to gain strength to worship Allah. Now eating becomes but the issue is that your is that food gives you strength. And he's telling them they asked him so why should we eat? Look at this. This is man because it's so subtle but it's there in the Quran. Most people only when they think of the commands of Allah they think he commanded me to pray. Sure. He commanded me to fast. Sure. He commanded me to give zaka. Sure. But he also commanded you to eat. Look at the Quran.

12:24 It's a command. But when you eat because Allah commanded you to, now it's and now you're a true slave of Allah, you're eating because he commanded you to not to fulfill or satiate your hunger. So when your iman is correct, the next time you're hungry, your heart should turn to Allah, but your body should turn to mansaf. I'll do that. You see what I'm saying? So the idea is the believer the believer is commandoriented. Is every act can can we take every act to Allah first before doing it? every act, sleeping, eating, going to the gym, going to work, driving

13:12 your kids to school, every act in your life. Look, I it it's not just that. Uh most of us, we separate Dean from our actually Dean Allah put his commands into everything. Do you know the book Muslim? It's the the fortress of a Muslim, like the protection of the Muslim. So, it's packed with duas of your dayto-day. Do you look at the mirror every day? Okay. Do you use the washroom every day? Yes. Okay. Do you sleep every day? Yes. Do you eat every day? Yes. There's a dua for everything. And subhan Allah, those duas. Everything. Those duas teach you to always attribute the benefit to Allah that he is the doer. So instead of it's just an act, it's absolute. If you do

13:58 that, alhamdulillah. This is after you eat food. It's part of the dua. Alhamdulillah after you wake up who gave you life most people their is some people they'll tell you if I don't sleep at least 8 hours a day I'm not rested his is on what bed pillow sleeping time the bed is downstairs the rest is upstairs you understand what I mean the actual one so you can buy if you're a millionaire you can buy all the beds in the in the world the best of beds can you by rest. No, there are people in today's time, they have to take pills to go to sleep cuz they're depressed. But the believer right away he puts his

14:43 head, he passes away cuz yeah, but we got to make sure not everybody who passes away right away. He's a believer, guys. Right now, everybody watching, he'd be like, "Man, man, I'm a good believer." Boy, I'm a good believer. No, it's a good point. But ultimately, I think we're going to pass out pretty nicely tonight after all of this. Look, so our we have to sleep because why? Why does a believer sleep to rest? Okay, a believer sleeps to rest. No, to forbid to wake up for no because Allah commanded him to what's why does the believer sleep most people to rest. But now that you understand a believer is commandorient because Allah Allah told us

15:28 yes Allah told you to get some rest but your imagine somebody right now living this life everything he's doing somebody's asking him why you doing this he's like Allah told me probably people laugh at him yes but you don't have to tell people it's a state of the heart otherwise you're weird it's like hold on I'm hungry one second otherwise you're weird you're weird you can't do between you and so this is the thing you are outwardly in one way utilizing the but inwardly you're with Allah it's beautiful it's like there's a movie happening in your life you're normal um uh you're sick yes take medicine sure sometimes bro when I'm talking to people it's like they're

16:15 telling me oh if you take this medicine this one is so much better than Tylenol you'll get better right away my heart is so used to this talk. I don't tell him, "Brother, medicine doesn't do. Allah is a doer." Even though that's the truth, but what do I tell him? My heart speaks to him. It negates what he says. It says, "No, no, no. It's not true. But my tongue is casual and normal." There's something I want to say about this wall. When I hear people talk these days, if I hear somebody talking about money, how to make money, too much dy about talking about how to make stuff in his way. And when I don't realize somebody brings Allah in his talk, I feel, man, this is all Xed out, you're at the wrong place,

17:01 you're doing the wrong thing. I always feel this wall. I don't even like to listen to somebody no matter what he's doing if he's not putting God in the middle, man. God is the main. He's not in the middle. But at least when you're talking about somebody's giving too many advices about how to be a millionaire, it's Allah first, man. Allah. It's Allah's command. It's Allah. And then the things you're doing, it's you waking up early. It's you doing this. It's you having I mean it's whoever puts Allah in everything he's doing first. I love to listen to him. And that's the balance. See the thing is you put Allah first with your heart. But you're normal. You're not, you know, weird. Like we said, you're going about your dayto day. But look at this verse. Allahh says,

17:52 I thought about this verse where Allah says the true men are those whom neither trade nor business distracts them from the the remembrance of Allah. One of our sh he taught me he says do you know what means here Osama I said no he said the obedience of Allah they're it doesn't distract them why obedience why did he make this subtle distinction it's very important let's say you sell clothes and I walk into your store according to this verse they're not distracted by business or trade or whatever from the of Allah meaning you're buying and you're selling and you're remembering Allah So if I ask you brother how much is that shirt 100 bucks

18:37 usually that's the answer but let's say you answer with subhan allah cuz it says if you understand it as dick of the tongue you're wrong and you're weird again how much is that shirtill and those shoes bro I'm here to buy your stuff can you please for the love of god tell me how much it is already because it's like he would be crazy he's nuts But the idea what does it mean? It means that they don't disobey Allah in the commands he put in and in business and in trade. So Allah put commands like what the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says

19:32 that Allah has mercy on the person who's easygoing in his dealings. Easygoing. Look at this. It's really there was a sahhabi. He opened up a business because he heard about this hadith that you get a special, you know, place in Jenna, some special reward if you're easygoing in your dealing. So, he opens up a business and another Sahabi comes and buys something. The next day, he comes to return it. The Sahabi doesn't ask him any questions. He accepts the return. He didn't have a receipt, but he accepted the return nonetheless. He took it. The next day, the sahhabi passes by. He found that he closed his store. So, he's worried. Maybe he's upset cuz I returned the product. So he goes and he says, "Why did you shut down the store? Did I upset you? Is it because I returned the product?" He says, "No, because I heard

20:17 Sallallam saying that there's a special reward and mercy for the person that is easy in his dealings. I opened the business just to fulfill that of the believer is not in business to make money." Listen carefully. This is deep, bro. We're talking about with 99% of the people right now. This is Yeah. It's it's it's crazy. The purpose of business is not to make money. Allah is the the purpose of money or business is to fulfill the commands of Allah that he put in business. Don't cheat. Don't steal. Be honest. Don't deceive. A guy came up to me and he's like, "Man, I want to sell my car, but it has a defect." And I'm worried if I tell them about the defect, I won't be

21:04 able to sell it. I'm like, "Bro, what are you talking about? You want to be successful?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Start with the defect." He got excited. His eman was pumped. He goes, the first buyer that comes, he goes, "What's how's the car?" He tells him, "Just to be honest with you, there was this problem, but we fixed it and it's okay now, but I just wanted to be open and transparent." So, what do you think the guy did? He bought the car. No, he walked away and he didn't buy. So, the guy comes back to me. Yeah, I swear he comes back. He's like, "Brothersama, you ruined this. You ruined the deal, bro. I thought you said you lied to me. You said that the transaction will be successful. Wow. I said it was because your definition of success is about the financial transaction whether you made the sale or not. My definition of success is whether

21:51 you fulfilled God's command or not. You didn't cheat him. So you are successful irrelevant of the result. This is key. So you're not worried. A believer is commandoriented, not results oriented. As long as I fulfill God's commands in business, in dealings, in marriage, with my children, in my 9-to-f5 job, in every single movement, I am successful irrelevant of the outcome. So, anybody can be successful if they understand this formula. I guess you're not. Sorry. That's why this is imagine how many people if they follow this rule man it

22:37 changes everything it changes the world man it changes the whole world manh Allah subhanaa tala make us a means for that because it really it removes anxiety it removes stress everybody has the h of risk what am I going to do tomorrow why are you worried about the point you just do business don't leave the business start a business it's the intention of the business absolutely the intentions Why you're there? Why did you wake up? What are you doing at work? Why are you going to have some? Why are you Why are you getting educated? Yes. Why are we doing this? Why are you doing this episode? That's the key. Rectify that intention. Ya Allah, you commanded us to do what? And something something else I would

23:24 love to add to this. Keeping the intention, man. It's something you need to do it. You can't keep the intention. say in the morning I'm going to keep the intention and go out wallam I remember when I went to I was ina eight months ago subhan allah yes wall the most thing I was afraid of and I was scared of is the intentions because your life is on the line the intention no it's yes my life is on the line and you know you might just you're out of you're out of any moment the intentions had me and the guys even the guys with me I used to keep telling them guys please just the intention fix it fix it it's like something you click it you you tag you tag it just a quick it is something you need to remind yourself of always my intentions I'm here because of Allah I want to see the people I want the people

24:10 to feel good that there is people come into while all this is happening absolutely the the hardest thing that wallah I always check probably you won't even believe it every hour man look this brings up a very good point can you start an act with a good intention and then it changes so easy absolutely If you go there, you see numbers, you see followers, you see people, man, even our life in social media, how many of us, we're doing this podcast. Inshallah, it's going to do great. People love it. The good things you listen, you hear from people always. Oh, thanks, man. Thanks, man, for doing this. Right now, we're doing this for Allah. If this takes us somewhere beautiful, how inshallah we stay the same. And you get that all the time. I see. I've been hanging out with you for the

24:56 last few days and it's very and it's very humbling. I love this. I'm like every place I go with this guy, people want to take selfies. We're actually just on the road right now. How can I right now? Just what you said, man. This No, listen. Listen, my intention. No, let's But let's fix. Let's work. It says it's a great example. Look at this. We're driving on our way to the studio. We get stopped, you know, at the light and there are these people that sell stuff. He was selling strawberries. He takes out his phone and he has Leyah as the background of the wallpaper on his phone and he's telling him he's so excited this that he sees Leah and Leah is so excited but he says I love you. The idea here is okay Allah sends you too much of this is a problem. Allah sends you these people to test

25:41 you. So it's very important to always be conscious of Allah when they come see that Allah sent him. When you see that Allah sent him now rather than being like I'm a big shot. Thank you Ya Allah. Yes. Thank you Ya Allah. That changes everything. It is. It is man. It is so true man. Fixing the intention. People need to and I would love even to tell everybody watching us right now. Wall guys whatever you're doing if you have the good intention. It's like a contract man. Some people think it's once a month. It's daily. It's hourly. It's every 30 minutes. Whenever you you know what you what are you doing? This is I'm doing this for Allah. Fix it, man. Especially us on social media, influencers on social media, people on social media. This life it's it's not it's not a real

26:28 life, man. Being on the TV, being on your phone, people know you. What's the purpose of what are you doing? Just fix it. Take it to the right way. Absolutely. Put it in the right place. And alhamdulillah, man. People used to tell me man you weren't afraid in I was telling them people man don't worry I I was somewhere else here mentally I was somewhere I was with Allah man I was afraid before I walked in before I put my feet in before that I was I was afraid I was super afraid just the second I put my feet in I saw you make he took something out and he put in peace peace in a war man on the land that there's a war there's peace There was so much peace and the intention. I seen everybody just waiting for us. I looked at the guys. I'm like,

27:14 "Guys, please, please." Subhan Allah. But I blew up. Look, I blew up your ego. So, we I I want to humble you now. Yes. Okay. How many followers do you have? Approximately 2.6. 2.6 million. I'm going to ask you a question. Mashallah. That's beautiful. Who has the most followers today online? Cristiano Ronaldo. Actually, it's Shaitan. So don't let your followers get to your head. Of course, we always give dwa to the one. Even if I have 50 million followers, 100 million followers, the one that I perform to, I always tell my wife, I tell her we always perform for an audience of one. That's nice. Something else. How can I pass the test of asbab?

28:00 I started talking like you. How can you pass the test of? Absolutely, man. That's so important because what if Allah gave you so much money? Yes. How do you pass that test? There's three things you have to keep in mind. The first thing to pass the test of is that your is on not the meaning you're not attached to the you're ready to leave it. The when the ayah came at that point it was the time to reap the harvest from their farms. But the command came they weren't attached to this. So they were ready to leave it for the sake of Allah. This is very important. Your heart is not attached to it. You're ready to leave it. And number three, you fulfill God's command that he

28:46 placed in the Sabbath. Money is a fitna. So it's a test. Allah wants to see are you going to be grateful for this money. What is the definition of grateful here? Remaining within the boundaries of halal and haram. that are associated with money and then you've passed that test.
