But I would also like to briefly touch upon a few other points which are related to this aspect of student data, not necessarily the LOC. Apart from the LOC, the other very important component of student data which is submitted in the board

I am sure all of you would be doing your bit to not only to protect the sanctity of the practical examinations but to ensure that the data is entered correctly and there is no dispute which comes to the fore after the results are declared because when that happens it is very difficult for CBSC to go and revise the marks even if the mistake is bona fide. So I would request all of you to kindly pay extra attention and ensure that the data is entered correctly with respect to the practical, the marks of practical examination as well and also to have appropriate documentation with respect to those

9:12 practical examinations. this appropriate documentation can be referred to whenever a dispute arises in future with respect to the marks of the candidate. So both these aspects are important and I'm sure that all of you will take due care in finalizing the marks and uploading them on the portal of CBSC. Since the controller of examinations has been kind enough to give me this opportunity, I would take this opportunity to tell you about two more initiatives of CBSC. One is the CBSE talkathon in which most of you participated wholeheartedly. It was an

9:58 innovative panel discussion organized on the social media platform with the objective of creating awareness on prevention of substance abuse. Most of you would have seen it because the video has had a very good response. Those who have not seen, I would request you to see it. There are two important aspects with respect to that video. One is the message that aims at prevention of substance abuse, dealing with the problem of drugs. The second important thing is the engagement template. And that is where I think I would request all of you to have a keen and closer look at it. The interaction, the communication with students aimed

10:45 at addressing their curiosity while maintaining a platform which encouraged opening them up. I think that lies at the center of all our initiatives and that should be the center of all our engagement with our children. We should encourage the children to open up, we should try our best to address their curiosity only then I think we will be able to help in the development of fully functional individuals all of which is the ultimate motto of each one of us. Another important initiative I would like to briefly touch upon is the CBSE Experience Center, which we are going to open shortly. It is a state-of-the-art experience center in which a lot of effort has been put in by the CBSE team. It encourages experiential learning. It gives a visual, immersive

In a span of around one and a half hour, the child sees the evolution of CBSE, not only the evolution of CBSE but the evolution of education system in the country through interactive games. and it also briefly touches upon the future of professions. The child is able to get into different roles, how he would say for instance if he wants to become a cricketer, what would he look like by undertaking those exercises. So it is a very visual, immersive exercise and experiential exercise which gives an opportunity to our children to experience it. It is in the CBSE premises. We will be opening it shortly and it will be there for all CBSE schools. The slots can

My circular is consisting of probably 55 pages. It is not circular, it is a book. Generally I am finding now these are 50-55 pages books are there in market which are based on number of experiences. So what is happening that we thought that to explain this entire circular, I will be sharing my views personally so that there should not be any problem. So this is a brief. You all are very well aware that what is happening means examination has become very very difficult for the point of view to conduct it successfully to ensure that there should not be any problem to any school, not the problem to any parent, not the problem to

So we have issued two circulars. First circular is basically pertaining to the list of candidates which is consisting of 40-55 pages. The next circular which we have issued that is the circular for correction in demographic details of the students

17:55 because what is happening that every day when I am coming to the office first of all I am looking at my emails replying to them, then I am going to the E-office and every day I am finding that my three Joint Secretaries has filled my inbox with nearly 150 files which are basically pertaining to the correction in the data only. So even if one minute is given by me, 150 minutes are gone. So I can't do anything else. . Though a lot of files are going back also to the schools because the data or the record submitted over there is not correct over there. So the second circular was

Though in past 21 years I have conducted nearly 38 examinations starting from AI/PMT pre-final, AI/PMT, then proficiency test, then NEET examination and thereafter class 10th and 12th examination, second board examination. So a lot of examinations have been conducted but even today I feel that before conducting any examination I need

So I am starting from zero, I am trying that bar should be elevated so that I should be able to touch that bar and this bar is basically for the purpose of facilities only. How good facilities we can provide to our schools, how good facilities we can provide to our students, parents, teachers, etc. Now, My job today is just a revision class. I wanted that though the circular has been sent to all the schools, everyone must have gone through the circular but understanding the circular, what is the requirement I wanted that they should be

To avoid problems which we are going to face in future, to save the time. Lot of time we are wasting in such kind of work which could be devoted for the other good purposes. Then to protect interest of the students. Once the result is out, many files are coming to us. that there are so many problems pertaining to the demographic details or the marks uploaded especially in case of the practical examination. Then to

20:57 ensure a smooth conduct of examination because during that particular period once we are conducting the examination we never wanted We are very very, Miss Ayam, I wish that we all should be very very focused that all efforts should go for the smooth conduct of examination only. It should not be diverted to any other work. Now what is to be ensured that there should not be any grievance. Once we are doing the work there should not be any grievance, grievance from the school side, grievance from the student side, grievance from the teacher side, principal management, whosoever is involved in the work, they are not having any grievance so that every time I am saying there is no need of having any call center, to respond to the grievances or the

21:47 queries. We should work in such a manner that that grievance is eliminated from the ground level only. So we have to find out what is the place where the grievance is developing or taking place that whole should be plug-in by the people so that there should not be, there will not be any grievance. So what is to be ensured now? No need for any grievance riddance. Means after this my opinion would be that though there would not be 0% but certainly it should come down to very very minimum percentage where schools are making any request to the CBSE. Now, whose responsibility is this one? Certainly CBSE.

22:33 We cannot save ourselves because we are the first ones. Thereafter, schools, you cannot save yourself either. I will not pay the fees to you, but ensure that my child is getting the good education in your school. Teachers assigned duty. not only for the purpose of submission of the LOC but for the purpose of invigilation, for the purpose of evaluation, for other purposes also. Then certainly students and their parents also because until after we all are coming at one point, we are not understanding the importance of this entire activity we would be having the problem, we are going to face the problem. So it is our responsibility that we should ensure that there should not

23:18 be any problem and we are aware about our responsibilities and duties and completing them sincerely. Now how examinations are governed by the CBSE? So we are having the examination bylaws. All the rules and regulations are over there. This is the bylaws, not only bylaws, I would say this is the Gita and Bible for the purpose of conducting the examination smoothly, successfully and without any problem. Now just the examination which are being conducted by the CBSE, this is as per the last year's data. First examination which we are conducting that is the class and main examination, then class wealth main examination, class and second examination, then class wealth supplementary examination. This year we are conducting one more examination that is

24:09 for the West Asian countries because there were certain problems. So we are holding one examination shortly. By tomorrow we will be trying to inform the people that what would be the date, how we are going to conduct the examination and what would be the date sheet for the same. See that last year we had 25 Lakh students, 84 subjects and this was conducted in mid-February. Then 17.68 Lakh candidates in the class 12th examination, 120 subjects in mid-February. Then class 10 second examination, nearly 7 Lakh students. The number of subjects were based on the results certainly and mid-May and then this class 12 supplementary examination three like candidates based on the results number of

24:54 segment how many students are not able to pass some examination so based on the same the examination is conducted and this examination was conducted in mid-july it was one day examination because we are giving the compartment only in one subject in class 12. So in 10th there are two subjects in which we are assigning the compartment so therefore we have conducted the examination for the three subjects and then the day sheet was spreaded one over there. Now the available time very very short for us because now and just wait for the 15th of February, you will wake up in the morning, then you will have

25:39 to do all the arrangements of your school that today we have to have exams in our school, we have to see all the children, means it is flying with the lightning speed I would say to you. So in such scenario, when time is short, the only one thing which is available with us that is the sincerity which can make us available little bit more time out of the available time. Now because of this there is no scope of the mistake. We shouldn't have any opportunity to commit any mistake so that the time which is available, the time will go basically to make the arrangement out of the problem arises with the mistake which we are committing.

26:30 Now this is very very important slide, how big is the examination? This we have to see. So, just a minute. This basically I am explaining you that it is not the examination of class 10th and 12th which you have to conduct. It is a very big exercise in which everyone is involved. Okay, and By showing it, I just wanted to inform you the sincerity which we need to have in holding this much of big examination. And

27:17 in addition to this, I wanted to inform you that how important work you are doing. It is not at all possible. We can't conduct this examination without any support from the schools each and everyone over there. So see that we are having the 33,000 schools which are conducting the sponsoring the student for the class and nearly 20,000 for class 12 and total are coming to 53,000. Then total number of student 26th leg 19 lakh 50,000 so total are coming to 4550. So this number is going to increase by six to seven percent in 2027. Then countries we are having 26 countries number of answer book which we are having for the purpose of evaluation it is coming to 1 lakh 70 crore, 1 lakh 1

28:08 crore 7 lakh 25,000 total are nearly 2 crore 77,000 2500. How I am arriving to this number because in class and i have calculated i have multiplied 6.5 because seven subjects are over there within total number of students registered in class and then I am arriving to this point and same way for the class wealth also because six subjects are permitted as per the scheme of studies. So I am considering 5.5 over there. So these many copies are over there. The subjects which are being offered 84, 120, 204 examination center We had 8,200 last year, 7,800 in class 12. So few are common. So this

28:54 is coming to nearly 8,500. So in 8,500 schools across the country, in 26 countries, we are holding this examination. Now, invigilators, you can calculate yourself. combining all the students or the number of answer book you can add then divide this number by 24 because 24 students are allowed in one room and then multiply that by 2 because 2 invigilators are required. So you will come to the figure which is basically the number of invigilation required for the conduct of examination. Now, rooms use, I have already mentioned that OYO also comes after us. Our numbers are

29:40 more than rooms in which we conduct our exams. Now biggest examination in class 10th, we are conducting the examination of science and social studies in which nearly 26 lakh students are appearing. In English nearly 18 lakh students are appearing in class 12. So along with 26 lakh, I would just like to let you know earlier when I was fixing the day sheet, the day... On the SSC only one examination was conducted because the schools are more and I wanted to squeeze the day sheet. So more number of subject examinations are also conducted on the day of the social studies science and in class 12 with the English also. Now size of the quotient papers. This you can see the total number of students multiplied by

30:31 approximately 20 pages. These number of pages are coming. Okay, 33 crores 80 lakh pages are over there which are printed for the purpose of conduct of examination of class 10th only. Now when I am converting it to RIM, means one packet, which is generally being used by the people. So it is coming 6,76,000 ream. Its weight is 16,90,000 kg and its volume is 22,68,648 square feet. This is only for class and now coming to class well it is coming 21 lakh 45 21

31:16 crore 45 lakh pesos. Rims are coming 4 lakh 29,000 weight is coming 10 lakh 72,500 and volume is 14 lakh 39,000. So the total volume is coming to 37 lakh 7,648. Now I are this building two base basement and these nine floors also this is 450 for less 50,000 square feet so I have divided this number so nearly eight point two five buildings are required only to store the question papers See the volume. So when this much of big space is required, so it is not easy task. Okay, ballot box me to machine hi jaani hai khali, jo bhi hai, usi mein sab ho jayega. But here we

32:05 have to carry this much of material to the examination center, to the custodian and then the distribution. So see the volume and when it is coming to the volume of the answer book, nearly 80% In all, because there we are having 32 pages answer book, 40 pages answer book. So nearly 20 CBSE headquarters kind of building would be required by the CBSE for storing of the material only. So see the volume. which is over there, which we have to maintain, which we have to control, which we have to supply, which we have to print also. Now people involved enormous, this room is having, this hall is having 500, consider how many people will be involved over there. And when so many people are involved, then the exam is by God's

I would say not sincerity but during that particular period when we are involved in the conduct of examination, making the preparation, we should focus more and we should be serious in conducting and completing that entire activity. Meaning, they're by second biggest and the longest activity in the country. What is the basic issue? That it is the

33:38 longest activity also because very truly, If any of my Joint Secretary and me, if we wanted to avail the leave for one day, we are thinking that the sky will fall. Our activity will be delayed for one day. It will be very difficult for us to do all this. So generally, the moment our exam ends, it starts. because there is a time when we are conducting the we are involved in the two activities one is for the existing examination and the another one is for the next year examination so though the examination is conducted nearly

34:23 for 55-60 days but all preparations are made much prior to the start of examination and A lot of time is required for the conduct of examination, then the evaluation, then the result declaration, then the post-result facilities also. So, full year, we, each and everyone remain busy in all the activities which are pertaining to the conduct of examination only. Now, can we do this activity casually? Absolutely not. Because if we have a problem at one point, I am saying if there is one subject which has been submitted wrongly, so we have to make the alternating arrangement for the same, which is very, very difficult in the

35:10 current scenario Now this is by the CBSE and therefore what we are saying, we are saying that no you submit the correct details of the subject also so that there is no need of providing additional question paper as required when we are changing the subject of the candidate. So big no, we don't want to make any mistake here, we have to see that there should not be any mistake which has been committed by the school, teachers or anyone else. Now what should we do then? Understand our responsibility and we should be very very serious about our responsibilities pertaining to the conduct of examination. Believe me if you people are focusing entire work could be completed within five days, five working days. Okay because if

So, if there is, means everything is correct with you, so only you have to submit during the ninth class and thereafter everything will flow automatically without any problem. Take the challenge and challenges that no we have to do this work correctly, there should not be any mistake from our side. Make a good team because alone you can't do anything else. You are sitting on the hot seat basically and when you are sitting on the hot seat you can't put your all the time for this purpose only. So what is the thing? You should have one very good team. This good team

Read and understand the instructions which have been issued by the CBSE like the circular or the other information which we are communicating it to you people. Then make a plan that how you have to submit the LOC or how you have to go for the registration. So all planning need to be done. Honest about our work, that no, we have to do it very correctly. In very adverse situation, we have to do it very correctly, I would say. Say if you will say that we will be leaving it for tomorrow, So

The another one very very important issue which my chairman is saying that is very very means appealing to me, that we don't have to do as it was going on. What we have to do, we have to see that what are the challenges now in the current time and then what preparation need to be made by the people so that everything goes well. Be with the CBSE website so that you will come to know about each and everything. And after that, we are having our regional officers. They will guide you. Now guide the parents, very very important. If parents are not guided, they will be working as per their wish and will only. Though we are having the limited time, in that particular limited time we have to ensure that whatever help is required from the parent, whatever data is required from the parent, whatever confirmation is required from the parent, that confirmation is received on time. Strict supervision, this is very very important. Why it is so? Because once the LOCE is submitted and thereafter when the schools are

40:03 coming to me, what they are sharing? They are saying to me that though I am saying that four days are left, three days are left, two days are left, take care of the LOC last date. But they are saying that the teacher who was involved in the work, she had some emergency and she was unable to come and therefore we were unable to submit the LOC. LOC started 24th, it will go up to 17th. So for how many days a teacher was in emergency situation? Okay, it is only because we have not followed up our work, therefore we are missing the LOC. Okay,

40:49 people would say that My teacher is there. She met with an accident. So there are another teachers also. We can't wait till the time teacher will get back to the work and then we will start the work. People would say to me that my clerk was looking after his uncle has died. So he was not present. So that we need to see that within the limited period the LOC should be submitted correctly. Do not leave till registration and LOC is submitted. You keep reading behind that no, have you submitted the LOC correctly or not? Just get it signed from me. Okay, check each and everything. Ask your teachers to verify the details again and again

41:37 and again and again and once the LOC is submitted then you can go and take rest. Okay, it should not be left for the last date, it should be completed much early so that last minute rush is not over there with you people because it is also true that last minute when many people are coming on the website, there could be n number of issues I wanted earlier that LOC should be opened in the groups only. Say first time I have opened the LOC for four of my these regional offices, thereafter for other four regional offices, thereafter for other four regional offices. But because time is less, so it is becoming difficult for we people. We are trying to evolve a system wherein there is no need of submitting

So let's wait for that particular time but as of now we need to ensure that in the existing circumstances we should complete our work very sincerely. Two important activities for the examination, one is the registration in class 9th and 11th and LOC in class 10th and 12th. These two exercises will help us in the conduct of examination. Now why we are going for the registration? This is advanced planning for the board's examination. Okay, we are

43:08 informing the number of subjects which are to be offered by the candidate and other details are to be submitted. So soon the admission students are coming to the class line. We wanted to see that how many students would be appearing next year in the examination. Say last year I released the day sheet nearly nearly four months before the conduct of examination. That day sheet was basically based on the registration data only because if there would be some changes so that would be very minor one. So based on the same we declare the day sheet and that has given the help and support to the student in making their plan for the purpose of preparations. Now, this also ensures that the data submitted of the student is correct. Why it is

43:58 so? Because we are issuing one registration letter to you which is in your login ID only. Therein, we are going and requesting you to get the undertaking from the parent, from the student, from the principal also that all the data which is there in the registration form that data is correct, there is no change. If there is any correction required, you can make a request to the CVSE so that that data could be corrected much prior to the conduct of examination or much before the start of the LOC for these students. Now, list of candidates, LOC is the examination form because what is happening, say if I am appearing in the AI/PMT examination, I would I would be filling complete form. OK. But here, it is a list wherein candidate

44:47 name, mother name, father name, date of birth, subject 1, subject 2, subject 3, subject 4, subject 5, subject 7 is mentioned. That is to be filled in. And that is to be submitted. Because you would be having more-- data of the student with you that what parent is doing, what is the residential address, qualification of the parents but that is not required by the CBSE for the conduct of examination. So only very limited fields are required for the conduct of examination and these are being shown in the list of candidates. what information is required in registration. So only student name is required, mother's name, father's name, date of

45:32 birth, subject offered. Total fields which are coming, these are coming 9 to 11. Okay, 9 if we are considering, 5 subjects have been offered and 4 other details student name, mother's name, father's name and date of birth. So these five and if child is going for the seven subjects then this will become the 11 fields. So these 11 fields need to be taken care, need to be correct for the submission of registration form for the submission of the LOC only. Cannot we collect this data correctly? Certainly yes, we can and we will. Okay, we can do it and today's part will be to ensure that there is no mistake in the data from our side. Before we go to the last

46:23 point, I will tell you some important points where we are committing the mistake which need to be avoided by the people. Now what action required? Verify data yourself once you are submitting the registration details or the LOC. This slide I have shown five six times. It is only because I wanted to remind again and again that verification is required. So verify yourself the data which is to be submitted. Then school record with your school record also you kindly verify that the data which is going to be submitted is as per the school record. by the student also that student is saying no I am Saiyam Bharatwaj. So my spelling is this,

So till the time you are the child in class 9 you can make the correction yourself in the data based on the record or the documents submitted by the parents and the students and their request.
