How to Quickly Create New Bricks
To quickly create a new brick in Walling, you can double-click anywhere within a section. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Command + B on Mac or Ctrl + B on Windows. If you want the new brick to appear at the top of the section, hold down the Shift key while using either method.
How to Create a Divider Line
Divider lines are useful for visually organizing content within Walling. To create a divider line, simply type three dashes (---). Alternatively, you can use three asterisks (***) to create a new divider.
How to Get a Color Palette From Your Uploaded Images
Walling's premium feature allows you to generate a color palette from uploaded images. After uploading an image, Walling processes it and generates a color palette. You can access the generated colors by clicking the palette icon. Clicking on any color will copy its hex code.
How to Copy Your Bricks Content
To copy the content of your bricks, simply drag and select the desired bricks. Then, copy the selected content. You can then paste the content into other applications while retaining its original formatting.
How to Add a Note to a Checklist Item
You can add a note to any checklist item by pressing Enter while holding the Shift key. This feature allows you to provide additional context or details for specific checklist items.
How to Create Your Own Wall Templates
While Walling doesn't natively support saving wall templates, you can create a workaround. Create a new collection and name it "Templates". When you want to save a wall as a template, duplicate the wall and move the copy to the "Templates" collection. To use a template, create a new copy of it. Changes made to the new copy will not affect the original template.
How to Leave Notes for Yourself Inside a Wall
Each wall has a real-time discussion panel, primarily intended for team collaboration. However, you can also use it to leave notes for yourself. You can also add links in the discussion panel.
How to Add a Color Strip to Your Wall
To add a color strip to your wall, set the wall cover to "wide" and drag the cover from the bottom to resize its height. Then, select a color for your cover. This adds a stylish color strip while maintaining the wall's minimal design.
