Could be in India versus Zimbabwe, one of our three games we preview. First though, let's say hi to Paul Christian. A reminder, Paul, of your profits on your best bets and uh just to check in
35 on how you're doing. >> Hi, Ed. Uh, so my best bets are 32.7. I'm okay at the moment. I'm uh just desperately hoping Jos Butler doesn't get dropped tomorrow to keep my bet alive. >> Yeah, England versus Sri Lanka. Uh happening as this pod goes into production. I think Butler plays. Don't worry about that, Paul. Uh Rich, um you're back. Of course you are. Your profits, please. Uh, and you can also tell us why you're all head up and feeling 60. >> Yeah. Um, yeah, another good week. Uh, plus 35.03. South Africa did the goods. Marco Jansen did the goods. If you listened last week, we told you so. Um, they look
22 really good, didn't they? South Africa. Um, clearly still a long way to go. Yeah, Shimon Hetmier. So in the free Telegram group um on the eve of the tournament our best bets that week put up Hetmier half a point I think it was uh most tournament sixes at 40 to1 on the basis that the West Indies in both group stages will be playing on the the best ground for sixes really a lot of cricket at Eden Gardens that's kind of been like a home game for them. So at the moment, Hetmier, we've had a round of the second, well, the round of the super eights if you like. Heter's on 17 sixes. The chasing pack starts at 11. So it's a nice lead. Obviously, I certainly wouldn't give the bet back. I do suppose my concern is I felt it left a few out
08 there today actually, but that's greedy me. But the concern is obvious. >> Rich, did he seven? >> He is seven. >> He's a bit greedy, Rich. I think I think the concern is if West Indies don't make it out of the Super Eights and say India get an extra two games dub and Kishan for instance but if West Indies can get through um to the semis and and obviously even better the final then then clearly you'd obviously be in a good position but um fingers crossed >> that telegram channel Rich mentioned you can sign up to that in the comments section also the VIP channel as well which is bets every single day to your device from Rich, Paul, and myself working very very hard to find the bets. Uh, plus 8% big profits, ROI, long-term
55 lifetime, uh, call it what you will. The games we're covering in this podcast is New Zealand versus Sri Lanka, West Indies versus South Africa, India versus Zimbabwe. We've got team news, we've got pitch reports, we've got stats, trades, nuggets, player win rates, the lot. All the usuals, but nothing mundane about it. Um, as I said, we can only keep giving you this content if you sign up to Betright, please. Um, so go ahead and do that now if you like, and you can sign up to that VIP channel with 50% off with the code ashes 25. Um, so don't know why you're not doing that either really. Um, winners galore. Uh, particular the last few days were
40 doing some nice work. So let's kick off New Zealand versus Sri Lanka is at the RPS on Wednesday 13:30 4 to6 the Kiwis 7 to5 Lankans both AK bets. New Zealand expected to line up like this. See, Alan Rainda Shakman Phillips Mitchell Satler Nisham Sodi Henry Duffy, the Sri Lankans, Nisanka, Pereira Mendes Rathanaka Shanaka Kamindu Wellar Shamantha Shamira Thikana, and Madishanka. Um, long-term study on night matches at RP RPS is 55% bias for the chaser from 55 results. Um New Zealand versus Sri Lanka in Dan Bullah 2024. Kiwis 135 all out where a large three
26 for 20. Just looking at that game um and filtering Asian conditions to see if there was something in it for the Sri Lankans but obviously not a huge study sample to go on because these sides have not met in these types of conditions enough just that one game. Um Rich Sri Lanka have lost to uh Zimbabwe and England. Uh they had started strong but then injuries hit. Paul mentioned but Pathana was a bad miss. I wasn't so sure. Paul was right. He always is. Um are they done now? >> Yeah, I wasn't so sure actually. Um but yeah, the the Australia game was brilliant, wasn't it? But yeah, it came crashing down to earth against England. the fact they've lost to Zimbabwe who look found out against the West Indies doesn't look a strong body of form to me
14 um and you you think and England obviously managed it if you get an Sanker early the very little chance really of them getting sort of 170 180 if you can knock Nisanker over early I think they're up against a good side here as well they're certainly up against an efficient side and extreme talent with that new ball as well which kind of makes you worry about Nisanka. Uh Paul, who wins the match? >> I think Sri Lanka, I'm not down on them at all. Um I think they're in an outside. Um you know, I was keen on them before they played Australia and, you know, upset the odds there, but I wasn't overly enthusiastic about it afterwards
00 cuz I don't really trust them. But they're at home. I think they've got a very good record at Premadasa over the years and I don't really trust New Zealand here in a on a on a track like this. Um look it I mean New Zealand have got to be favorites given how badly Sri Lanka have done the last two matches but I think they're a bit of value especially with a toss bias and I mean yes I agree like Lanka and also Kuso Mendes are absolutely critical but they are cracking players right and if they do build a platform and then you get the likes of Kamindu and um um Dassen Shanaka finishing they're quite are capable. So, I think they're valued. >> All righty. It only takes, you know, two
47 or three of them to come off. That's the beauty of T20. Of course, you don't need 11 guys contributing. One guy can, well, one guy can win it for you. Uh, a game, of course. Um, we'll keep going on the triangle. We'll have a bit of a check in on the outright. I'm about to mention just see what the guys think about what's happening with the caveat. Of course, games going on all the time and odds changing, but we'll come back to that. Um, another nugget from you, Rich, for this game. >> Yeah, Glenn Phillips player performance. Um, I think he's he's busted 40 comfortably anyway in three of the four games he's played so far, but 33.5 is a current line with bet 365. His batting's great. He's gunning the field. Um, but look, I think Paul's right that this is the ground
33 that could get at the Kiwis because it'll be more reliant on spin. Sri Lanka have more spin than New Zealand do relying on Santa. But I reckon Phillips will do a bit of bowling here. There's a few left-handers in that top six of Sri Lanka's. So Phillips, I think you might see him maybe even bowling instead of Santa if there's some left two leftanders at play. But he just brings him into the game. You just feel like he's going to have a lot of work to do. And 33.5 doesn't look especially high to me. always maintain one of the best pound-for-pound players in the world because you can do everything in all the formats. Glenn Phillips really keen on Phillips. We've had some good wins on him down the years as well on top bats as well. Often underrated on that. Paul, ground angles for this one. And just sort of a note about grounds as we come
20 into the business end of this tournament. We've had quite a lot of cricket played on some of these services now. And it just seems to me that we're getting some used services. And knowing whether a service is going to be used or not might well be the key or might well be the difference between big profits, small profits because a used service obviously can narrow the gap between teams. It brings spinners into play. that has impact across all different types of markets. Pace bowlers not bowling as much. Are you prepared to have to wait Paul for that pitch report at the toss to find out whether it's used surface or
08 um are you less risk averse? >> It it depends. Look, it's invaluable information. I mean it I did note the other day a very rare example of where we found out in advance where it got cancelled with the previous game at the Premadasa somehow or another the news got out the night before that it was the same pitch that Sri Lanka played Zimbabwe on. Now that's very rare that to actually hear the the exact pitch. So, if you can get that, that's invaluable information, right? And as always, the the big the key moment is that five minutes after the the toss is made and they do the pitch report and you get a bit of information. Is it black soil, red soil, when it was used,
55 etc. I still think still you've still got to look at long-term ground stats, you know, and to take this ground. I mean, look, the market's wired up to a large extent. We're not getting these silly 12.55 13.56es lines anymore. Just to remind that is 17 matches out of 17 where the highest was 12 and um 14 of the 17 under 10. So even if you can get a 10.5 11.5 light still unders um and on the total match runs um 15 out of 17 matches of 313 or less which is always under the line. Um, as I say that Zimbabwe Sri Lanka game was a rarity and you got 360 odd and they were
43 going to use that again. But if it's a different pitch for this game and I can't imagine they they're playing and using three matches on a spin, same pitch then it's an under situation. Can I just jump in quickly about grounds? This is something I'm going to look to do over the next 12 months. hopefully will help the service. Actually is it's amazing as well how some grounds they'll use another a pitch that you know that they've used say 3 weeks ago and I'm pretty sure the game for the West Indies one today had been used like 19 20 days ago and it might actually back up and still be a really good surface and then there's other pictures that if they use it again it's terrible. There's one at Hydrobad in particular just one of the strips it spins and then if they use it again it's just an absolute minefield. And those guys at Sunrisers know about
30 that surface they've talked about, but there are other grounds where they can reuse a picture. I mean, not three, four times obviously, but the second time it'll be absolutely fine. So, I think that's something just gone off a little bit here, but something over the next 12 months I'm going to try and make um a bit of a database of grounds and when they've reused pictures and and some grounds might just be better for that than others. It's not always necessarily right, this is going to be a sub 120 pick. Actually they might some some might back up and others are other squares are are able to do that. >> Yeah and a bit bit on sort of pitch news as well coming up when we look at India Zimbabwe at Chenn. I've just got an update on the Chennai pitch because we wondering about whether that been relayed. We'll update you on that as we go. Um Rich just a quick view on Kiwis
15 overall. Just sort of noticed really that Michael Bracewell may well turn out to be a big miss at some stage in this tournament. They kind of need that auxiliary spin all rounder, don't they? Then tried McConchi against Canada and he was taken apart. >> Yeah, that's exactly right. Particularly now they've come here to Sri Lanka, they've been fine. I've played a lot of cricket at Shennai so far. It's been flat and the seamers have done the work and well the batters have just won them the games. But here now they are going to need some more spin. Obviously I referenced Phillips earlier. So I think it's now where they will miss him. But I think they've been really good so far. New Zealand basically barely broken sweat apart from losing to South Africa and as we saw at the weekend with South Africa hammer in India. There was no
01 shame in that. That was a good performance. New Zealand could easily finish up as the second best team in the tournament. Um they could still win it. So I I think they've done really well so far. >> All right, let's move on to player win rate. Uh top Kiwi bat Seaffort has a 40% win rate from 22 games. He's got 167 runs in three innings against Sri Lanka 13 to4 bet MGM Virgin Bet Duffy 38% win rate 3 to1 generally eight wickets in four against Sri Lanka the asterisk for both CIFA and Duffy on those records are that conditions differ Cusel Pereira is opening the innings now 296 runs in eight one time 150 against the Kiwis that's a pretty solid record
48 with Hills stars priced up uh Bet MGM um Virgin Bet Boil Sports Top Bat of course I'm talking about Nanka we mentioned him at the top of the show 32.4% 4% win rate falling to fight bet right bre and AK bet richer players to follow >> well I do like Phillips think he's probably the best player of spin um but I quite like Shaneka at 12 for Sri Lanka at a price he's always always good for popping up anyway but uh T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022 New Zealand gave Sri Lanka a bit of a hammering but Bassan Shanaka was top score for Sri Lanka so hopefully that's a bit of a nugget Paul. >> Well, I was going to just earmark Path
36 and Nissano 14 to five being a rock solid bet. I think openers have got a big advantage on this ground. We've seen that. But those stats you mentioned for Kusel Pereira are also eye-catching. Uh so perhaps even back both. One other thing I'll say um Kusel Mendes player performance 32.5 mentioned before um the number of stumpings on this ground and the good record of wicket keepers the good record for wicket keeper points so 32.5 is very low for me and 33.5 for seaf isn't bad either >> righty there we go we got West Indies versus South Africa still to come on the cricket betting podcast and of course India versus Zimbabwe do sign up to that VIP channel in the comments section below. A 50% off with code ashes 258%
26 lifetime ROI on that one. Let's just have a quick check in on the outright because obviously plenty is happening. Um and we can certainly discuss the uh what's happening with India a little bit 2 to one across the board on the out right now generally South Africa five to two 365 you bet Fred Boil 10 bet Quinn bet England out to six is generally the Kiwis best at 17-2 AK bets Pakistan 12 to1 generally West Indies 16s with Quinn bet their standout as short as eight in more than one place actually. Um so Quinnbe taking a view Sri Lanka 33s across the board. Zimbabwe 250
12 um and likely going home. Um India basic playing knockout cricket Paul uh two to one right price when they got to win four in a row. M no because I think they're probably going to play South Africa in the final and that therefore they shouldn't be any shorter than quart six really for that. Um maybe even bigger than that. Uh for me the value is going to has got to be either Wendy's or Pakistan. I think you know Wendy's have definitely got a squeak now. I mean look India are going to start favorites against them but that is a match to knock them out isn't it? and India under a lot of pressure. Windies are playing fantastic.
57 And for Pakistan, look, they've got out of the New Zealand game with a a draw, you know, with no no result. If they beat England tomorrow, which I think there's every chance they will to be honest. Um they're in a great position. >> Just to say just say just to say I'd still like 3 to one in your South Africa final. I think that's really good. If two have come out, you'd love three to one on the double win in the series. >> Rich? >> Yeah, I' I'd still against India. I I just can see it unraveling for them quickly now. I think they're under an awful lot of pressure. Um the batting just doesn't seem to have another way of playing. Um and we've seen at this tournament so far, it doesn't look like it's going to be a 240 240. We we
44 thought it might, but actually I mean Miller's innings were brilliant. He summed it up, didn't he? on Sunday. He just got them out of the power play after those early wickets, kept them in touch and then they basically played for 180, didn't he? And and it was enough. Um I just don't think they've got the experience or the brains in that top order. Sure, they could blow teams away, but are they going to do it four times in a row on some of the pictures we've seen? I'm not sure they will. Um South Africa have got a lovely mix of experience, but South Africa the team to beat for me at 5-2. Um for all I probably wouldn't be backing them now because they were 2 to1 to beat India on Sunday and they probably been more like six to four second time around but the market is still going to favor India so I wouldn't bother backing South African out 5-2 for all while I do think they're the best all round side in the
29 competition and the other interesting thing as well is the net run rate West Indies and South Africa got brilliant net run rate in that group one now India's is is terrible um I mean really I mean look I'm not suggesting any funny business. But South Africa really do with could do with doing West Indies a favor when they play, couldn't they? And getting getting India out. But look, clearly I'm not advocating such business. But um there we go. >> Can I just say you make a really good point there Rich about um South Africa's like there's no point in backing them because if they play India, they will be six to four. They just will be. We know they will be right. Whether that's right or wrong, doesn't matter. So then he's possibly the bet
16 to bet an India South Africa final at 3 to one and bet and bet a South Africa West Indies final at 12 to1. Do the combo because the two teams that come out of that group can't play each other. So you're betting on a double in the semis. Yeah. So you take that, you're taking just above two to one. think my maths are right off the top of my head on the double. Well, if it's an India, South Africa uh in the two semis double, that's more like an even money chance, right? And >> yeah, >> the other way round wouldn't be a disaster, would it? >> No, >> no, it wouldn't. And I think we identified correctly, didn't we, the weaker group at the the start of the tournament and why that favored England.
04 You also have to recognize where the power now lies in the tournament, where the form lies in tournament. And in that in that super eight group one >> from the Ed, what do you think about England with Butler where where he is? >> Well, I don't think they'll drop I don't think they'll drop Butler. I think they're more likely to drop Bethl at some stage. I know this is going out as England are probably playing. Um, so I could look foolish, but I think Butler will Butler will play every game. Um, I think Bethl's more more of the problem. You got Ducket who could come in and and bat three or opening the bassing with salt and say to Butler, you go at three. Try to take the pressure off him maybe. Um, I think I think England's problem is
50 that um the batting is is just just too timid really. And I think they're flattering to deceive. they will say, "Oh, we're, you know, we're winning. We're not we're not playing well, but that's a sign of a good side." I'm not sure it really is in cricket. That's the sort of thing football has come out with, and that's not true either. So, I I'm I'm I am worried about that 5-2 England to get to the final. Now, if they have to come up against India, South Africa, West Indies in the in a semifinal, I'm I'm not sure they'll be suddenly able to just like a tap turn on that batting power,
38 but that's my view. I don't know what you think, Rich. >> We discussed when they were struggling in that Sri Lanka game that they were done. Uh but as it turned out, the pitch was was poor. The counterpoint is that they they should be setting themselves out. They've got to get 160 on that pitch and they didn't. >> Yeah. The thing is there still 7.2 on, you know, and I think we that tells a story about the whole tournament. I don't think there is a a flawless team in this, you know, and I'm still a little bit worried about South Africa when they get to when the stakes are really rise. Can they do it in knockout white ball cricket? Um, and you got England a 7.2. They look very, very flawed, but they're still in with a punchless chance at least. India are two
23 to one favorites. And I mean, if you'd have watched them on Sunday, you wouldn't be talking at six to one really. I mean, it was a complete mismatch. And yet here they are. They're still favorites to win it. >> Yeah, we're we we're unfortunately see this is going to go out just before or just after the England game tomorrow. So we could look stupid but there's no way they're half the price of Pakistan is it are they? And there's no there's no way for my mind that Pakistan are like six to four chances for that game. I could see us really struggling against a spin. >> No well I mean I've Pakistan on bet fair to win that game. There's just no that that pitch is the ubiquitous leveler. Um let's talk about anyway. Um
09 and we'll try to find a winner in what is an absolutely bonkers blockbuster of a match. 09:30 Wednesday West Indies versus South Africa on the road potentially that is Amed Amedabad 1 to2 South Africa generally 9 to5 windies with bet MGM virgin bet two form size in the competition the only ones with 100% records west Indies King hopem ratherford shepherd holder Hane Ford moti Joseph South Africa Markham dock rippleton brevis miller stubs yansen Bosch Maharaja and GD uh West Indies have an excellent record against South Africa winning seven of the last 10 and all those games since 2024. uh Amedabad seven of the last 12 day
55 night games won by the team batting second RPO first to second 9.7 to9 that might have more something to do with scoreboard pressure though in the air or off the surface South Africa winning four out of four at Ahmedabad a home from home from them uh they're absolutely bossing it with runs 187 against India chased 178 with 17 to spare against the Kiwis 187 against Afghanistan 213 versus Canada. Uh Paul, we just been talking about the South Pier. Um so we probably said most of it. Um so let's just go to to who wins the match. >> Well, I'm going to say South Africa as
40 you expect me to say. Um I think they are the better side as good as West Indies are playing. I do think they're the best side in it. Also, I would add that our medabads is pretty good for runs. I think they've got better bowlers. They're easier to contain. And I would also say that our medad unlike some of the other grounds, this is not so much of a place for sixes. You get a good talia sixes, but it's not like the rank day or Eden Gardens. And I'm not sure that West Indy's batting will be quite as effective here. >> Same question to Richard. Yeah, I'd agree with exactly that what Paul said. I think they've done really well. West Indies, you know, I I would
25 sort of sweeten on them at the start as one of the outsiders, but this is the acid test and South Africa looks supremely strong. Um, so no, I think that what might off black soil, red soil, >> that's what it's all about, isn't it? Um if it's black soil, we've seen back unders. The run line's going to be high. It always is rightly so at our medad. Um one thing that surprised me is we haven't seen it so many huge scores yet at our medad. And I was going to say after yesterday, um maybe we just got to count runs as being 20 or 30 higher lower than IPL
12 because that seems to be the way. But then West India just went out and hit 250 W. So maybe not. But I think generally that is the point. It is a little bit lower. So maybe it's more like a 190 200 pitch than a 220 230 pitch. >> Do you think that's more to do with a international cricket and you've generally got a better fifth bowler whereas in the IPL that's not? Or do you think it's just because um the BCCI look after the pictures for the IPL and this is more I think the ICC look after this don't they? Um, I think I'm right in saying that. And whether the BCCI for the IPL just want big big bang all the time. >> Yeah. I mean, is it >> is it the sub, Rich? >> The sub. >> Oh, the sub as well. Yeah, that's another excellent point. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Extra B the extra well, you know, the
00 extra battle or the extra bowler. But yeah, >> I mean, we do have to, I think, distinguish. I think we see it in quite a few countries now. There is a big distinction between um franchise cricket and T20 internationals. They are those franchises are set up for huge runs. >> Yeah. >> Um any other business on this one or can I go to win rates? Um well I'm going to just add I mean Rich backs Marco Yansen player performance last week this same again 30.5 the line with Paddyy Power that's won 12 of his last 18 um and I would also add even though it didn't win last time both teams to score 190 12 to 5 both teams score 200 5 to1
47 interesting these two were uh knocking huge scores against HR in South Africa last month on lesser pitches than this. >> Okie dokie. Um player win rates then uh DOP a South African opener a win rate of 26.6% 6% of a decent study sample now he's not one in this tournament he is overdue is a small enough edge at 3 to1 with hills sky power bet sports good news if it's red soil particularly against this attack two tons in the last nine matches against West Indies 340 total runs at a strike rate of 196
35 I think that's what you call all the planets coming into line for uh QDK 11 to four for a 50 taking others out of the equation with the flutter firms Bosch a 45% win rate on top bowler you get 9 to2 sky bet power bet fair sports are flutter firms um a word on Robman Pal we've been backing him because we were getting 10 uh which we thought was a 4 to1 chance on win rate should have won against Zimbabwe didn't now slash to 11-2 two hills. I think we're going to have to leave him alone unless Paul tells me otherwise or Richard tells me otherwise. Shepherd 9 to2 one of our absolute staples on top bowler for the West Indies down the I think he's now unbackable because he's not being didn't
21 even bowl against Zimbabwe. I just don't see how we can justify even though we've got win rates in the 30% those prices. Uh Paul um feel free to disagree. >> No, no, I look I agree that market is brain damage. top bowler for this exact reason. It's so hard, isn't it? Like, you know, Sony B one over sometimes and yet he's probably turned as another example. Uh I agree about DK all day long. I just think that we've got to back the 50 rather than top bat because this is a high-scoring pitch and I think there's three to one available with bet 365 and 100 to 30 about Mark. Uh I think back them both. >> Yeah, Richard man. >> Yeah, same idea. So Deox 50 and Ryan Rickleton 50. He's 100 to 130 with 365.
09 Quite like the two lefties for South Africa here. Mly up against a Ke and Morty. Two left arm spinners. I think that they'll be in business really. Um ball spinning into them. And with that in mind, I actually and obviously what we saw today with Shepard wouldn't be surprised if Rustin Chase played for West Indies. He's a bit 15-2 about him. Top West Indies bowler. Like Paul said, it could be brain damage. It's not one for big stakes, but he bow really well against in England and I just don't think he's a great attack frankly. So he could easily win that 15-2 but the main bets Dock and Rickleton 50s. Uh righty we've got India versus Zimbabwe to come and that means that the bet right boosts are going to be coming your way very shortly for that match.

Wednesday is the big game at 13:30. India versus Zimbabwe. Chennai the venue must win for both teams. India's sort of 16s on we bet MGM version bet Zimbabwe 10 to1 bet Fred 365 hills India lineup something like this Abashek Ishan Tilac Sky Sundar Hardak Dubet Rinko Axar
44 uh or actually Rinku Axel Sundar if Axar is back and fit Sundar probably comes out. Rinku may retain his spot. Ashi, Von Bumra Zimbabwe Bennett Marammani Myers Burl Raza Manyonga Musikawa Evans Crema Muzurani Nava. Um, that Chennai surfaced that I mentioned at well halfway through the show. We wondered whether it might have been relayed because six games on it all have busted 170 and in the last one Afghanistan busted 200 Chennai historically a venue which gets slower and lower as the more traffic goes over it. And we were so
32 concerned that we were seeing so many runs we thought has this been relayed? Well, it hasn't been relayed, but the outfield has improving the drainage. That could well have changed the nature of the surface. Um, we'll come back to Paul and see whether he thinks the angle has changed on that. We did highlight that in the in the tournament preview show that this would be the sort of the time to be going unders. Um, there's no toss bars in night games. This is a night game. 8.6 RPO first things averaged against 8.17. Um, rich. Now, I will ask you about the drainage system. I mean, that could make a difference. Couldn't I I'm not asking you to be a ex a horiculturalist, but >> Yeah, it Yeah, of course. U I'm Yeah, I
20 mean, I found this a real puzzle actually cuz you know, I watch batting on it the other day and it just looked a real real good picture and I've been one of the ones expecting at some point for it to go. The other thing that I'd consider here is looking at net run rate and this is India's chance to get net run rate. They probably wouldn't want a lowcoring match would they not would they not want a a good pitch chance to make 230 240 and then just basically bank on Bummer and Var and bowling Zimbabwe out. So I know it's very late in the day to be making demands but I mean this is India after all. So I think they'd want a high scoring or an opportunity for a highscoring pitch. India can do what they want. They if they don't get the pitch they want, they'll probably threaten to pull out. Uh Paul Paul, do we leave the Chennai angle?
06 Because this was the time, wasn't it? And it's not we've not really seen much, have we? In terms of things to be encouraged about sort of playing unders now going against the tie. >> Yeah, absolutely. There's better things to do. There's better angles and it hasn't it hasn't shown any signal of that yet. All I would say is the six another angler channel is not ne just the runs but sixes have always been very low here too and it is still a quite a hard ground to hit six. It's not in up there with the Wanke and Eden Gardens and Delhi. So considering that this could be very one-sided and Zimbabwe could get that first and be all out for 110 I would still say this is an unders if you're talking 15 and a half 14 and a half sixes. Rich, any hope for Zimbabwe
51 here? >> No, I'm I'm I'm afraid no. Look, they they acquitted themselves really well in Sri Lanka, but I think the pace of cricket there probably suits them. Um Bennett, for example, look, he's a brilliant young player and he's done really well. But those sort of games where, you know, 170 is a good score and he can kind of hold in together and people chip away. But I think when you come to India and generally the pitches have been flatter and they expect that, you need to to score that little bit quicker. Um it just puts pressure on that batting lineup and India's bowling. We can criticize the batting but the bowling even I mean that that power play against South Africa it was outstanding. Bum was out of this world and I think it's too much for Zimbabwe. >> Paul the stunning upset in the tournament which has not materialized.
37 Is this it? >> You're so harsh on Australia. That that was an upset but yeah um no it's not. No way. No way. Cannot see it. Um, as bad as India were in the last game, they will do what they have to do in this game. Cannot see any other result. >> All right. Have we got any other business on this game before player win rates? >> Um, yeah. Got a couple of some player performance stuff. So look, you know, much as we love him, much as he is an old friend of the show, Cicander Raza, player performance very high, 41.5 player performance with the flat of firms that has lost on five out of eight matches in the subcontinent and they're up against India here. So I'd do that. Um, and I would also note this um Muzra
25 Barney um 11 to four over 1.5 wickets. that's won his last five matches and he bowls two overs, two of the four overs at the death. So that is value because you know even if India get 240 they're going to be slogging in those last few overs. >> Um Richard >> well it sort of falls with player winners. I just think Bummer's been outstanding and I think they'll he'll have a bit between his teeth that sort of bet 365 beta away market two wickets maybe even three wickets. I just he was just unbelievable against South Africa and this batting lineup is not comparable to that. >> All righty. Let's look at those player win rates. Um and just also worth focusing on that jam-packed India top
12 order with lefthand bats. We spoke on this India versus South Africa game. We said Mark would open the bowling. He did and he got Ishan Kishan the left-hander because they want that ball. Um the interior position want that ball spinning away from the ey line of the righthander. That's why they use an off spinner against all those left-handers. Ball turning into any type of batsman, right hand bat, left hand bat, no problems. Well, not no problems, but much much easier. And just a counter point on on Russ, he could bowl off spin. But Ryan Bennett also might be used to bowl off spin. They might try and get away with an over from Bennett up front. Um or maybe another over a couple of overs in the power play from Bennett
59 against those two left-handers in Abishek and Ishan. So overs 22.5 player performance. Bennett was flutter firms. Um I do have a note on Raza overs 41.5 a bit high Paul. Um but the big win rate is Brad Evans top Zimbabwe bowler before this tournament started a hit rate of 53% from a very very healthy study sample for Zimbabwe. He will bowl at the death. He's now down to 42.8% he is overdue. He hasn't won yet. Betright have boosted him to 9-2 which is implied probability of 18.2%. Now we're saying he's winning at 42%. 42.8 is an absolutely huge edge. That is
46 a top rated selection on the bet right boost. Brad Evans top Zimbabwe bowler at a massive 9-2. Uh they've also boosted Abashettyama again 3 to1 top India bat what are you getting 30% win rate more than 30%. Ishin Kishan boosted to four to one. Bumra boosted to 3 to1. Top bowler 13 to5. Varon Chakraati same market who is a popular fantasy on this show. Also Brian Bennett won 42% of the time on top bat for Zimbabwe last two and a bit years. You can get three to one with a betright boost. As I said, if you want to support the podcast, sign up to Betright. Richard man any of those
33 boosts that you want to talk about? >> Well, quite a lot of them stand out actually. I'll bum the three to one. I he just he was brilliant against South Africa and he could make minceme in the power play and against the tail. Um so that would that looks a very good bet and obviously Brad Evans has been a friend of the show. Um I do think though that the Zimbabwe I think the top order is going to be in bother but you got to think about the way the game's going to go. India gonna need to go for the kill. Uh there's gonna be no messing about with tac bowling and over era there. Bummer. New ball. Varane. Let's just get into them and get them out. We try and get that net run rate. So I think I mean I know he's already won against West Indies so we might be a bit late but look at the Zimbabwe lower order top bats for market. Brad Evans 33. He
20 probably can't back it up but he's still a big price. Tony Monga he's 14. He's a handy player just been batting behind Raza. They probably too I mean you could maybe even throw a few quid at Graeme Cream has been batting nine at 100 to one. I just think I think they're up against it Zimbabwe here and in that in that scenario I do like throwing a few quid at that top bat market particularly for these as well. >> Yeah. Uh Brad Evans isn't he's not a friend of the show and clarify we don't know Brad and he doesn't write in. >> Yeah he won. >> We love him. >> We love him hero. >> He's our hero. We've got shirts made and he's honor everything. >> Yeah, we should get shirts made. Um >> yeah. >> Uh Paul. >> Yeah. So I'm absolutely with you Rich on
07 the backing big Zimbabwe batsman down the order. I think they could get rolled here really cheap. Um but with that in mind as well in the hope they bat first and India chose a low total I want to back nine to two Abishek and Kish the top match batsman I think that's solid >> 74 shot combined that's solid and man of the match has got to be interesting um can't see it being anyone another Indian player and so again Bumra and Varren they've got to be competitive you 78 to one on there and that's a solid bet. >> Thank you very much.
