You don't have to say that. I >> have been. So, um, it, so if you know my show, and I'm just going to recap this for the audience, at the end of the Y files, I do a segment debunking and analysis. I don't do that here. This is about telling the story and just kind of exploring your experiences. >> So, if you feel any push back, it's not this isn't a gotcha show. This is we're we're going to talk about your story. Um, I guess it all starts at the river. >> Yeah. >> What brought you to the river? >> Well, it actually started before the river. Okay. And and let's back up to
2:22 about 2001 when the World Trade Center disaster happened. At that time, I had been in business nearly 20 years and uh building upwards of 100, 120 or 30 houses every year and was one of the biggest builders in the in in in our county and one in the state private company. And uh when when that disaster happened, being that my business is based in a military town, Fort Bragg, the housing sales just stopped suddenly. Nobody's buying. And so here I am with uh $18 million invested in property and the interest rates had gone up to like 8%.
3:08 And uh on borrowed money it was it was costing me $100,000 a month. We fast forward and I was dealing with Crohn's and that made it worse. It got worse and worse and worse. And by the time 2004 come along, I was in the hospital having and I write about this in my book. What happened there? Had a near-death experience from a doctor poisoning me. I'd lost everything. Took me 5 years to go through all the savings I had and and liquidating all I could, but I paid the banks off and sold the property, but I was left with nothing. So the near death happened in ' 04 and uh early05 I was still recovering.
3:55 By summer of06 I was just getting to where I could go back to work. Uh I was still sick with Crohn's, right? And I just had this this poisoning in the hospital by a doctor. >> And I'd love to get into that at some point maybe later today because you've had two NDEs. >> Yeah. one from a gunshot when I was 10 >> and one from over medication not checking my vital my liver and my blood work right they just doctor just didn't he he he failed to do it and it caused me to go into toxic shot metal poisoning they call it >> and so here I am now all this happened sick I'm recovering um I'm at I'm at the end of my rope I
4:42 had a million-dollar home four kids living on the golf course for all these years and now I'm in a mobile home with uh B getting free lunch money from school. How and how [clears throat] debilitating that was and demeaning and but that led me to the river. >> What what led you to the river? What was that decision? >> Um well it wasn't my decision but it was I started back to work. uh just the first job my dad convinced me to go out and look after a big house that he was contracted to build on the coast 2 hours away. So I took a crew of men and had them working there and we worked 4 months in ' 06 from October to December.
5:30 And when December comes along, um it was right before Christmas, I didn't need to go back. We had we were down to the last 10% of of what they owed us. um doing a punch list. So on the on the first day or 2nd of January, I sent the crew back, told them to to do their work and uh bring me a check back. And that's exactly what they did on January the 8th of that day. They called me, "Hey boss, we got your job done. We'd like to celebrate. We don't have to drive out of town for anymore. It' been 4 months they've been going in two hours away." And so I I was at home, my wife was at home, she was off with the rest of the kids, but it was Chris Junior and I there. And
6:17 uh so we agreed to go fishing in the middle of the day in January. And it was uh about 2:30 when we got to the river. And of course, I was very um I was having a hard time mentally, you know, uh depressed and struggling about. And so I didn't fish. I had my son there. He's 17 then. These three grown men, they were crew leaders. They were doing roofing and framing and that people that worked with our family for my dad for years and years. And so I thought it'd be nice to get Chris Junior down out the house. And um so we get to the river 2:30 and I left walking. I told him once I got him set up and I left walking um about 3:30 or
7:05 4. Why did you lay off? >> Well, I was wanting to get away and think, you know, I wasn't in deficient. I just wanted to make sure they were in their they were I'm a manager, right? So, I managed to cruise them in. And I felt like they were they were sitting on the bank with a little stick with forks and their poles. Yeah. So, they were all set up. >> They're good. >> Yeah, they're good. I'm going to go find I'm going to go talk to whoever's up there. >> Okay. So, you had the intention? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yes. So I left walking and I went. Imagine you go to the dead end of a a culde-sac. Drive down in the woods and it dead ends into a round grassy area about a acre. Well, I walked on in the culdeac to the back of it looking for deer.
7:51 Really not looking for anything but away time right from me. So I'm sitting beside a big tree and it starts getting dark in the woods a lot earlier than out in the open. And so I think it was 4:45 I come walking out of the woods and walked up to where they were fishing and um I said, "You guys want to go home or you want to fish some more?" And they're like, "We just got here. We want to do some more." I said, "Well, it's going to get cold tonight. Better get a fire going." So we everybody stopped fishing and all four of us um there were five of us. It was me, Chris Junior, and three guys. There were five all five of us went around the culdeac picking up dead wood dead falling had a huge pile of wood standing uh sitting
8:37 beside the bank and a little fire going. So about 10 after 5 that was the fire was going and I said you know it's going to be dark soon. I'm going to walk up to the field the way we came in not the end of the cot. I went walked a/4 mile up to the field and it's up it's uphill. It's 100 foot of elevation from the riverbank where we're fishing to this cornfield. It's flat field. There's a gate and I'll share the photos of where the gate where I was standing. And um just before I got to the top of that hill um and it's about 15 or 20 minutes after 5 now, so it's not dark yet, you know. It probably didn't get fully dark until
9:24 this the the sun was setting behind the trees. When I got up there, I walked up that hill and when I got near the top, I could see the trees on the far side. I couldn't see the field cuz it's up here, but I could see what I thought was the top of the sun sticking up right above the hill up there. And I look down cuz it was muddy and I'm walking. And I'd look up and I'd walk another step. And when I got up to the top of that hill where I could see, I said, "Dang, that don't look like the sun. That's really weird." It was it was fire going around this thing. So I I looked down, took two more steps, and when I did, I could see a wider per peripheral because, you know, I got
10:10 trees on either side, and the higher up I get, the more my views spread. There was another one sitting right beside it that I didn't see to start with. So now I've got two huge balls of fire. >> How far away are they? >> They were probably 300 yd. >> Okay. A good ways away. >> 200 feet in the air setting right above the trees and and just this flame going around them and these little tips of fire was shooting off these things. So I immediately froze. I was I'm a commercial rated pilot. I knew what I was looking at wasn't anything from us at all. And I'd never really studied UFOs. I was dealing with poor children and sickness, right? And uh so it scared me and I squatted
10:57 down, actually got down on my stomach and I would raise my head up and look above the hill cuz I've still got some more hill in front of me and I'd look at it and I' I was just mesmerized. But I started getting worried. Oh, my son's down the hill. I need to get back down there. Tell him what I'm looking at. And the minute I decided to run, I had it in my thoughts, I'm going to run. So I I turned my body and I'm looking back behind me at it, you know, and I stood up to run. And the minute I stood up to run, right up here above me, another one appeared and shot down right in front of me. And at that moment, AJ, I knew that it knew what I was thinking. I knew that it saw me. And I knew I felt
11:42 like a like I was a I was captured. I was a a lab rat. I I I didn't know what to think. It was just overwhelming knowing that this thing I was on its radar. That's when it all changed. When it came at me, >> you're a hunter and now you're on the other side of it. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good explanation. >> And so you knew you knew it was watching you. Was that an was that like an animal instinct or did you hear it, feel it? >> I didn't know it was watching me. The two I was looking at. I thought I was, you know, hiding from this thing, but I was thinking, I got to run. Oh my god, what am I looking at? So, I'm thinking and the minute I go to run, this other one appeared. And I knew immediately
12:28 that it knew that I was going to run and it wanted and it knew and it it it was connected to my thoughts and I couldn't get away. was the first thing I I knew it. I mean, but luckily uh they wiped my memory. So, I had that moment of fear and then all of a sudden, oh my god. And then the lights went out >> just just everything just >> went out >> went out dark. And so the next thing I realize I'm walking up to the fire. I don't remember leaving at the top of the hill. I don't remember any of that. I just remember the last 50 or so feet going up to the fire. So, I'm walking in the dark. They can't see me coming. And
13:16 these three guys are standing at the campfire. There no fishing no longer. They're standing there and the fires burnt down to very little fire. And I left. It was pretty good size fire. And um that scared them bad when I snuck up on them. >> And I'm like, "God, you won't believe what I just saw." They're like, "Where have you been?" I said, "I was just up at the hill. I haven't been gone but 20 minutes." And they're like, "No, you've been gone all night." And we've been looking for you all night. >> I said, "Well, where's Chris Junior? He wasn't there." And so, uh, they said, "Well, he went back to Culac where you went earlier today looking for you while we took your truck and drove up and down the road." And one guy stayed at the fire the whole time. And so I panicked
14:05 where my son's down in that forest and it goes for 50 miles to Wilmington and very little to nothing in there. So I could I was just dreaming he was lost, you know. And then >> so I panicked and took off running, ran to the back of the culdeac where I'd gone in that day and he knew where I'd gone cuz he'd watching me all the time. Um and I cried out to him. I started shouting for him and nothing. Couldn't hear anything. So I started making my way into the forest and I got about 10 ft in there and he I heard him getting up off the ground. He was laying on his stomach underneath these real thick shrubs and he come up and he was uh in tears and he's like, "Oh my god, daddy, why'd you leave me?"
14:51 And and I said, "I didn't leave you, son. I just walked up to the field. I've been gone 20 minutes." He said, "No, you've been gone all night. We've been looking. So, I'm I'm like, "Oh my god, what's happening? [clears throat] >> What's happened?" >> But, you know, I wasn't scared anymore. >> You weren't? >> Not at all. From that point forward, it was like amusement. My son is freaked out. He's in shock. These three guys are in shock or they're they're terrified, right? So, I drag him back to the fire. They hadn't displayed that yet, but shortly they will. So, I took Junior back to the fire where they were standing. And they're very quiet cuz I was telling them about this ball of light I saw at the top of the hill. And Chris Junior's talking about this
15:36 creature that he had seen coming from a/4 mile away. The the road at the end of the culdeac is a/4 mile and then it makes a left up which is only an eighth of a mile. Right? So he sees this light come out in the road way down at the end. A red glowing light. He thought it was a camera. I mean a a flashlight cuz in the military they use a lot of these red lenses on their flashlights, right? So and he has guns and infrareds. That's what he thought it was. And there were two of them. They went across the road about 3 ft off the ground and then they came back out on the road and they started towards him and he's standing back calling for me.
16:22 The closer they got, the more afraid he got. >> Can he see what they are at this? >> Yeah. Well, no. He sees these two lights, >> two red balls of light about big coming towards him. >> So, he crawls under these bushes trying to get away just cuz he's afraid. Couldn't go back to the fire cuz now it's between him and the fire. Mhm. >> All right. So, he's hiding and they get within 15 20 ft of him and there are these two little uh creatures that were uh glowing. They could turn they it's like a riostat. They could turn themselves up and glow brighter or they could turn themselves down to where they looked almost translucent. And in a dark night, they look just like almost black figures there but with red eyes. If it
17:08 was their eyes that were red, that's what he was seeing. Is it like a humanoid shape? >> Yeah, they look like humans >> like >> in a way. I I have a photo a picture I drew painted I'll share with you so you can I painted this in 2009. And so anyhow, [sighs and gasps] I don't know what to think. My son's crying. He's upset. He's seen creatures. He's complaining that I left him, abandoned him. I drag him back to the fire. They're freaked out. These guys are grown men, right? Tough country boys that don't get afraid in the woods. So now they're they're very quiet. Junior's talking about the creatures. I'm talking about the light. And all of a sudden, one of the guys says, "Look."
17:54 And we all look up and there's between eight and nine, maybe 10 stars bright. This is Venus that just appeared above us. They just like come on and then they just started flying around and doing it's almost like somebody choreographed it >> and they just appear out of the sky just materialized. >> Yeah. Just materialized above us. They were way up there. >> They were bright as Venus each one and they were playing. They were flying out and they'd come back together and we were watching this and all of a sudden here comes three down and they land on the other side of the river in front of us and the river is only 60 or 70 yards wide. It's not a big one, right? So here they are on the other side of the river
18:40 in the woods and pandemonium set in. These guys freaked out. I'm not afraid. I'm mesmerized at whatever they did to me. I was no longer afraid. I'd be angry at you cuz you're so peaceful. >> Yeah. [laughter] And they were all they were angry at me. They were panicked. >> So we ran and jumped in the truck. There's three men in the back seat and Chris and I in the front of a Ford four-door Ford pickup. >> They didn't let you drive. I hope >> I was driving. [laughter] You just was your arm out with the radio on there screaming at you. >> Well, I'm starting up the path, right? >> Mhm. >> Out of there. And this this road is muddy. Real muddy. And the bushes were like scrubbing the mirrors as we went down through there. And they're screaming every breath, "Go, go, go."
19:27 And Chris Junior's just want to get home, Dad. I want to get home. One of them told me, told Muon when we reported it, that they had witnessed this red ball of light come out of the woods and come following the truck as we were driving up out of there. So, undoubtedly, they were still there. They'd never left. They just went invisible. >> Right. So when we got up to the top of the hill to where I had my experience, we went up that hill so fast it almost went airborne when I went over. It was a real steep, you know, like a incline there. And there in front of us was the same two red balls of fire and the same exact spot that moved. This is 4 hours later, right? The third one that
20:14 appeared and frightened me is no longer a ball of fire, but a tic tac. It's a glowing white egg. >> While you're still in the truck. >> Yeah. It's in the road in front of us. The one that came over and said, "I see you." >> Mhm. >> That's the one that took me. Now it's an egg in the road. It's not red anymore. It's glowing white. It's 45, 50 foot long. And it's like a football or an egg. >> Can you see that? It's a structure that it's a craft or is it just light? >> It was all light. >> Just light. >> And there was light was doing this. It's like sparkles of light going around. It almost look like spikes coming out of it. And this thing just pivots. It's only 5 ft off the ground, 150 yards from us in the road. Pivots, starts towards
21:01 us. And as it gets closer, it starts rising up. But right over my sunroof. I opened the sunroof and watched it through it. and all the guys were looking out and it was probably 100 ft in the air, totally silent. And then it pivoted and shot off like out of a canyon to the north. I hit the gas and we took off and there become a fight between the guys. Who gets to go home first? >> Are are the are the fire orbs still with you at that point? >> There was just balls of I haven't seen the fire ones now. We left them. They were still sitting there. >> Okay. >> So, we left because this thing's coming out. It had a path block. We couldn't go because the road was blocked. But once it went over us, it was it was beating on my seat screaming. I want to see my wife before before us over. We thought
21:49 the world was coming to an end that we were being invaded. I didn't understand what was happening. Um, you know, it did something to me. Here's an important thing. We left from that point uh racing. Only a mile and a half down the street is where I was shot when I was 10 years old, right? Or maybe mile and 3/4. Well, at a mile and a half is where my first wife was killed. And I found her there when I was just a young 21year-old, 20 yearear-old guy. I'd married this uh sweetheart that I'd had for four or five years. And on the 11th month and
22:34 28th day of our marriage, 2 days before our 1year anniversary, I'd been out of town fishing, hunting, uh not fishing, hunting, my dad and I and some his hunting club and we' taken boats down on the coast and and were um running dogs on islands, running chasing deer on islands, right? I grew up doing that. [sighs] And so [gasps] I knew that she was going to be at this party out in the country. Bunch of friends since we were young, we'd always had a cornfield. They'd go hang out instead of trouble, right? And we went to bars and all that. We >> found trouble somewhere. >> Yeah. We were out in the country and and and the law found out about it. They'd come and raid us every now and then,
23:22 catch young kids drinking beer and stuff. But so that's we were at a party. I came in at 9:00 and I took off to the party. And um I write about this in detail in my book. What why I left uh her one of her old boyfriends was all snuggled up with her when I got there. >> And it it this I turned around and I left. I spoke to him and said, "I'm going home." So I started home. went two miles down the road and um turned around to go back to meet her because I I'm like I'm not let this guy take what's mine. I was just mad, right? I turned around to go back >> and on the way back and this very sharp
24:08 curb there was a a car laying on its side was laying and I could see the bottom side of it and I hit the brakes and jumped out of the car. Didn't know who it was. It was in the front yard of someone's home that had rolled up, went through the curb and rolled end over end up in these people's yard. I jumped out. I ran up to the car, looked in, nobody. Then still didn't know what car it was, whose it was. It was dark and it's laying on its side. So, as I'm looking in the car, the front door of the house opens. The tires are still turning on the car and the motor is still running. Okay. >> Laying on it side. I ran to the door. Uh they came out and they looked out. They had heard it. And I said, "You better call the ambulance
24:54 uh rescue. Somebody's probably hurt. I can't find who who it was." So I left and started back to the road. And that's where I tripped over her laying in the shade. >> This is your first wife, Dana? >> Yeah. Yeah. She was laying in the shade of the pump house, water pump. But that night when we left the river, I blamed myself for that all those years like I could have that I was part of it and uh but I wasn't you know >> you forgiven yourself at this point. >> I couldn't. >> You couldn't. >> Yeah. And but that night when we left the river, everybody's freaking out, scared. I'm in La La Land for what had just happened. I don't know. I'm not afraid. It's the biggest thing I
25:40 remember. So, we get to that mile and a half down from where we were. We go through that curb. There's this big huge thing hovering right over where she was killed. >> Mhm. >> And I slow down and I'm trying to stop. And they're beating on my seat. Don't stop. And I'm like, I just want to see. I want to see. And they're like having nothing to do with it. And it spoke to me. It just put this vision in my head and it said, you have to forgive yourself. She's fine. don't worry about this any longer. And so that was the first time in 25 years that I had a bit of peace over that. So all that together over the next couple of years is what made me understand this thing was so much bigger than some alien coming from
26:27 the pleades to right aggravate me. Yeah. So, but anyhow, not to drag that holy van out but too long, we we dropped the guys off. Chris Junior and I head home. He didn't want to go back that way. Was going back towards the house was that way. Shortcut because we'd had to drive back under that power line and where this thing was. So, we took the long way around. Got home. It was probably 11:30 and uh Christopher ran through the house locking everything, locking the He'd opened the bathroom door with no window in it, turned the light on and locked the door. He had every door locked, all the windows shut, all the flood lights on. I'm in my room trying to see on TV, you
27:14 know, if the military is coming. Uh we just know there's an invasion, right? cuz it wasn't one or it was probably 15 in total that we were seeing that night. Nine or 10 at once and then others up on the hill. No, >> I've heard Chris Jr. talk recently and he still struggles with the story. >> Yeah, he does. Yeah. Yeah. It was traumatic. Um you can never get over those things, but you know, he's 36 now and he has a baby on the way. He has two children and one coming and um he's very happy and uh he understands it now a whole lot more. He ran from it for a long time and it weren't all his fault. It was pressure from the community and the church that
28:00 caused a whole lot of problem for us. >> Well, when you got home from the experience, um your wife Ivon wasn't wasn't there yet. >> No, she was off with her mother. staying with her mom. Uh they were doing something for a couple of days. And so we're home. We're home now. The house is locked down. Junior comes in my room where I met and he's like, "Have you seen anything?" I'm like, "No, this is like total normal. I don't know what's happening." >> Are you still peaceful? >> Yeah, I am. Okay. But he's not. He's He's in shock. Sure. >> And um suddenly my dad lived next door. We lived out in the country on uh our houses beside one another. and and he had a dog kennels there where he'd raised hunting dogs all his life before
28:47 I was born he had dogs he'd have 30 or 40 all the time and one time he had 104 but he had 15 hounds then and they were all of a sudden they started barking all of them and hounds barked very loud big mouthy deep voice and I knew that what they were saying was they were scared they were doing what I'd call a boo bark. You know, they were woo woo woo woo. You hear dogs do that. They they hear or see something, but they don't know what it is. >> I've seen that with bear hunting. They a bear come out on a dog. The scent along will put them in panic. >> Is that what you thought it was? A bear? >> It was a bear or a deer or something. So, all the dogs are barking. Then I
29:33 thought maybe somebody's breaking in dad's shop. first thought that was somebody's breaking in the shop because the dog kennels next to his garage. He and I share this big 40 foot garage the we had boats and fishing gear and tools and [sighs and gasps] so I'm imagining the dogs seeing somebody going in that shop and um I said Christopher he's freaked out now he's scared these dogs are barking and I'm going outside I'm going to see who's breaking in that shop and he didn't want any part of that. He's like, "Please don't go out there, daddy. Please don't." I'm like, "Look, we won't take a flashlight. We got Rosie here. She's 110 lb Chesapeake. She'll keep anything away from us. Um, we'll just sneak down there and see who we see. Maybe scare them
30:18 away." And um so I opened the door. He had me by the back of the shirt and he never turn me loose. We walked across the yard into the pathway to the dog kennel. Was down in the woods behind the house. We walk in there and I look and they're all looking out the back of the kennel. They're not looking toward the garage. They're looking in the forest. >> Uh-oh. >> Behind it. So immediately I thought maybe it's a bear, >> right? >> Because there were barking every breath facing into the forest, all 15. Plus my Chesapeake, she's frozen. Her hair is standing up and she's pointing in the bushes. So I'm whispering to Chris. I said, "I'm going to send her in on whoever's in there or whatever. Well,
31:04 let's just run back out to the back of the property. We'll make a run for it. We'll go back and hide behind this big oak tree and see what she pushes out of there." Typical hunting. That's what we hunted doing that. Try to cut the dogs off, put them in and get in front of them and see what comes out. >> They're trained to do this. >> Yeah. And so I bumped her on the rear and she took off immediately. So we took off running. We didn't have no time. You got to run hard to get down this path and back to the far yard and to the back. And I felt Christopher turn a loose when I I made a left turn and and the grass was getting frosty and I slipped and he turned loose and I thought, well, I just outrun him. So, I ran hard as I can. I

I ran up to it in a full run and and I'm trying to be quiet, but I'm breathing, you know, heavy breath and I'm trying to calm my breath and I'm against the tree and the dog's coming straight at me. You very loud, you know, it's quiet at night and this thing you hear it coming through the forest is real loud. So I turned to look back to see if Christopher was coming. And this all happened so quick. And when I looked back, he was gone. He didn't he didn't come. He took he couldn't stand anymore. So he ran to the house. When he turned loose, he took a right. I took a left. Right. >> But when I did, AJ, there standing behind me about arms length was this little figure. Yay.
32:35 Tall, which I painted it and it was glowing white about 3T, 3 and 1/2 ft. >> Three feet. Uh, no more than three probably. And it had it was glowing white. And it had uh what looked like a triangle on its chest, a dark area that was triangle shaped. And it had red glowing eyes about this big around. And they were round, perfectly round glowing eyes. And it scared me. Scared me bad when I saw it. I'm, "Oh my god." So I backed myself up to the tree to try to get away from it. But I got a tree, you know, I'm looking at it. So I turn and face it and I dropped my hands and I said, "I surrender." And the dog's coming. Still coming.

Coming very close. >> So she sees these. >> Well, she's Yeah, she senses it. >> Okay. >> Um I think the energy dogs have a way of seeing things we can't. Right. >> I agree. >> So it it is definitely the dogs coming. This all happened very quick. I'm facing this 3-foot thing that's glowing. I'm panicked that I'm going to die. I thought it was going to kill me. And I said, um, I said, I I surrender. I don't mean you any harm. And it said, you don't understand. We're here to help you, not hurt you. That's exactly what it said. And then the dog comes out of the bushes and this thing vanishes right in front of me. Just immediately vanished.

And then all of a sudden sparks would poof out 3 f feet and they would they would just kind of do like fireworks. It looked like then suddenly poof this thing erupted into flames and it's burning 12 ft in the air from the inside of the tree is burning and it's shooting up through the tops. She freaks out. Oh my god, how did this happen? And then we run out and anyhow Ryan, my son,

So I run a hose pipe all the way out there, give it to my wife and she puts it up in the tree inside of it and sprays it all and puts it out. Messed her up so bad she couldn't sleep, couldn't think. That was at 9:30. At 12:00, uh, she walks by the back door and looks and it's burning again. >> It's It's burning again. >> Burning again. So, we go out and we put it out the second time.
