00 You know, on our show, chums, the things that I love sharing with you are the things that have developed since the very first headline. We see it every day, don't we? You know, the sort of headlines you look at and think, "Oo, didn't know that." And then, of course, it's faded because we live in a vast turning over news cycle. As I've often said, I can't keep up and I do this as a living. And sometimes you're on air, you know, and they'll say things in your earpiece like, "Oh, this has just broken." You think, "What? What?" You know [laughter] what I mean? And you have to try and get through it the best you can because ultimately you've got no idea. Everything moves on at such a fast pace. You see, when you think about these two, the Sussex's as I said, you know, when they came back in July, it was an interesting thing, wasn't it? Because after many years, and remember, this is the bit that really I find odd.
45 Uh, you know, Mark literally forgo the opportunity for um Harry's son to attend his grandfather's coronation. I don't know how that is going to sit in years to come. That's going to be a really weird one, isn't it? To explain why didn't why wasn't I allowed to go. Well, um I was making a lemon drizzle cake. I mean, really, you know, I think there's a bit of a bombshell waiting with these two children. Think Bombad dear. It's Joan Crawford. Yeah. I mean, it's there's got to be something there in my opinion. Right. What's interesting though is when they finally did come over, as I told you, as ever exclusively on our show, these two really thought this was it. They were back. Uh, they've been welcomed back into High Grove. Harry thought that William apparently would make a very small appearance. Not sure about Katherine, but he genuinely
31 thought that William might make an appearance. They brought over pictures of the children. Suddenly, you know, Marl thought that this was it. She didn't get a public apology, but she think I think she thought, and this is my opinion again, that you know, walking out or being there that it was all very much locked down. Whatever you think to his majesty the king. I thought he played a blinder on that particular one because ultimately it's all been kept under wraps. What's interesting again is what you find out is the fact that suddenly at that dinner party, Lamar is accused of revealing all sorts of bits and pieces about, you know, whatever happened and how she got on with the king and all of that. Again, everything becomes messy. You know, you would have thought it's okay. I'll I'll keep, you know, keep my head down, right? because I don't want to ruin what years is now
19 what's built back. They seemingly can't stop themselves. And I wonder if this is a bit of a disease in fact because Marl seems to have a great path and then it just turns negative very quickly. And of course it's never her fault. But if you broke it down, there was nobody else in that part. It wasn't Harry that actually spoke out, you know, it was Marl. So again, you got to look like that. What's interesting though is that basically the, you know, High Grove visit, the High Grove return was blown out of the water by someone that you might have thought should have known better. But in the quest to try and sell a book, well, he's using every single tactic that he can. As ever, let me explain. Morning. Nice to see you, Chums. Welcome back. Thank you so much for your time. Charles
04 Spencer is doing everything in my opinion. You know, I just find it incredible um the how sort of low he will go in fact to keep this wheel turning over according to him doesn't need the money but you know he's sitting there with the former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown herself I mean you know whichever way you look at it self-confessed friend of Diana you're a journalist right you're there is no friends with journalism and celebrity you are a useful tool while they need you all of these people that say you Listen, I knew Diana, but I knew what I knew her for. I wasn't a friend. We weren't clinking cherry glasses and having bits of vanilla slices. Do you know what I mean? It's a job. And that's the thing. So, when you they purport to be that, always think, well, you know,
49 it served Tina Brown well. She was the editor of one of the biggest magazines at the time. She's sitting down now with Charles Spencer in a live stream. Again, you know, you have to wonder why, right? Ultimately, what does he do? he starts to reiterate the same things. Claims that he's not being sued by the journalist over here generating more headlines. Not necessarily though, if you look at some of the figures, uh, great sales for the book. Again, I have to say allegedly, but the figures are out there and you can see exactly how this really works. What really went wrong was this though, and this is what I've been told from an excellent source about the Highrove visit. Because, as you can imagine, King Charles locked it down, had some official pictures taken, and as I told you at the time, Markle thought these pictures were going to be
35 put out into the public domain as a sort of like they're back. You know, Norma Desmond's returned. Here I am at last. That type of thing. Couldn't believe it when that didn't happen and they sailed away. And of course, we then know they went up to Old Thorp. And what was interesting about that visit to all Thorp in my opinion right chumps was the fact that we're supposed to believe that Charles Spencer never mentioned an imminent book. So there was no books around. There was no discussion and yet what did we talk about? So apparently we we touched upon uh Megan and Harry's difficult security problems and the way they perceived by the media but nothing about the book, right? But then what else did they talk about? Well, it suddenly turns out, according to Charles Spencer, that, you know, he was aware
21 that Harry might be making a documentary about Charles's sister Diana as a sort of celebratory anniversary look back at the 30th anniversary. This is where the bombshell blew up in Highrove because what happened, according to my excellent source, was the fact that Harry and Lar both basically stated that they had no skeletons in the closet. They were not planning to do anything and you know this was where they were at. They were glad to have this you know back together type thing again. And then Charles Spencer whether you like it or not has now come back with this bombshell and basically said well no they told me they were planning this. So going from Highrove to Thorp they suddenly decided this was a great time to share. As I've
07 told you, part of the problem that you have with the Diana thing is that now whatever, you know, if Harry thought securing down his uncle for a chat on this was a good idea, I'm not necessarily seeing this as the key forward and neither will a lot of streamers because ultimately Charles Spencer has a paperback to flog in about 6 months time. It's normally that springtime that would come out and he's already titillating the idea that it's going to be jam-packed with even more revelations. So when you go down that particular route and you have to say, well, you know, by that point, August, July, June time is when you should have your documentary ready. Well, but back to High Grove, they had no idea. Harry and Megan had apparently assured them
53 that this was a new start, a new turnover, you know, page turnover, whatever you want to call it. And then they found out that and interestingly we're supposed to also believe that nothing was discussed about their return back here to the United Kingdom. So what did they do? Just stare into space playing chess. It's ridiculous, isn't it, that we're supposed to believe these stories? But again, a golden opportunity to maybe realign themselves, maybe start a fresh moment, and suddenly the High Grove deal, as it was called, just blew apart. Hence the reason Queen Camela, our queen consort, never left the room. And that was much to the charane, shall we say, of Harry and Megan. They desperately wanted his majesty the king
39 alone at least for 10 minutes. It never happened. Now, how wise was Queen Camela? Neil Sha Kensington London
