00 Welcome back chums and as ever thank you so much for joining me as Charles Spencer continues to drop alleged bombshells all thanks to his tell all book and interestingly you know it this is what people don't realize do you remember in the old days chumps when a book was serialized it normally was you know an average thing I remember could be around about 50,000 particularly for a big uh celebrity autobiography you know this sort of thing um and you you gave them the book over they would cherry pick the best kicks out. But of course really that was sort of the fee for the celebrity, you know, because books really never make that much money. It's a good sort of marketing thing and it's there for prosperity and it might get turned into a novel, that type of thing. I mean, as I told you on our show
45 first, you know, Charles Spencer is still very much open to the idea of this turned into some kind of documentary narrative. No doubt with him uh doing the audio version of it as well. Apparently, he's very proud of his speaking voice and the audio version. So, if you haven't heard it, take a listen. But what's interesting, as I say, is this particular thing was it's normally the big thing where you'd make a lot of money. And according to my excellent sources, this was less than £10,000 for the whole serialization. So, you can see ex I mean, it's a lot of money, don't get me wrong, but a drop in the ocean to people who literally like money, right? So you think, well, it's not creating mega wealth. That's probably a lunch in some people's world. We'd live on it forever, but you know
30 what I mean. It's not a mega mega sale. Of course, Prince Harry did a lot better. But then really Harry was coming up with a some people might say a brand new story, much of which we'd never heard before. And this was exactly how Penguin Random House purported to put that over the very first time. you know, not the man he is or the prince he was, but all, you know, the usual clap trap that came with that book. What's interesting now, though, is as this now develops, really behind the scenes, things are taking a bit of a darker twist with regards to how Harry plans to celebrate his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. Now, it's very much clear, isn't it, that Prince William has decided that he wants to step back from any association. And in his mind, I can
15 understand that he probably feels he's done enough. Everything's there. What more needs to be said? You know, this sort of thing. Behind the scenes though, apparently Harry is now having a huge change of direction. And this is because when he came over here to the United Kingdom, many feelers were put out prior to that for, you know, meetings with people, people who'd worked with her, all that sort of stuff. Many, you've got to understand, 30 years down the line, simply either do not want to get involved or, you know, just don't want to be in the circus. They they have a lot of respect for Diana. You know, we're talking people like hairdressers, makeup artists, and people that worked with her who might have given us a little bit of a different insight rather than maybe palace flunkies who have their own version of lightened events,
00 you know, being called rocks and things like that with nobody to dispute that. It's interesting. Nobody notices that particular phrasy of rock from anybody who worked around Diana. Where that came from, I'll let you decide. Now though, Harry has decided a complete change of direction. And this is because, well, let me explain. Morning. Welcome back. Nice to see you. Thank you so much, Chums, for joining me today. And welcome one and all brand new subscribers. Not a bad moment here in the very heart of London. I hope you're keeping well. You know what's interesting is Harry has now had a rethink about his late mother Diana. And this really is known too soon in my opinion because what you have to remember in Diana's case is that her story has been told many times from the
47 gruesome side of the stories which we don't need to go into anymore you know to the difficult sides. I think what really people liked and this is what I liked about her was the positivity that she brought and I like to turn it up at events. It might be frivolous, but what's wrong with being frivolous? You know, she was great. She knew how to connect with people. Very similar to Katherine, the Princess of Wales. When Katherine was with that elderly lady in the mini bus the other day, what a riot those two were. And you could just see that Katherine genuinely was interested in the lady's story about being cut off, loneliness, one day a week. You know, she's come from those sort of villages. Buckleberry is not too far removed from that type of world. So, she totally understanded. That's exactly how Dino was connecting with people. This is exactly what Harry now has been told to
34 tap into. But this is really all based on the ideas of what have been very successful recently. You see, one of the things that they've decided in the world of streaming and uh digital platforms and stuff like that is the fact that really people are looking for uplifting things. Now, one of the most uplifting and very successful movies based on a biog recently was none other than the late pop meast star superstar Michael Jackson. He touched on nothing of the negativity of his life and as I said, you know, many of the chums know I was lucky enough to meet him on a couple of occasions. Always polite to me. I mean, you know, anybody that can create that sort of music, you are interested naturally. But the story, as I said, focused really on, you know, how he attained the superstardom. what did he
20 do to go through with it? Likewise, of course, with things like you, if you think about it, Bohemian rapsid, things like that, those are the ones that have worked out. Harry now has a radical change of thought about exactly how to present his mother. And so now they're going back to the drawing board. And remember, you're hearing this here first. So basically the Diana story will be more of a celebration of what she achieved in her life, the boundaries that she broke, the things the the communities that she got involved with, not the negativities about the romances, the meetings in cars, the clandestine meeting with reporters, the books, the Andrew Mortons, all of that sort of stuff. Many of these people are working on uh individual documentaries allegedly. Even the former um what what
08 do you call him? Spin Doctrine number 10. Alistister Campbell apparently is working on something. Why why we need anything from him remains to be seen. Harry of course is now deciding to go down a different route. And really, and this is the interesting bit, do not forget that Harry came back here to get all of that stuff together. But more importantly, the idea of now any royal attending the Invictus next year, it's kind of blown out the water, right? Quite frankly, 100%. But also Harry is not too fussed. Remember unlike William he hasn't matured enough to accept welcome and put the past in the past with Queen Camila our queen consort. That will be next year her 80th birthday slap bang in the middle of Invictus. It
56 could have been move dates but apparently it had to be on that particular period. So, one way or another, as he elevates his late mother on, of course, what would be a very celebratory birthday in the public eye of Queen Camila, Harry's now decided the best way forward is to show the more positive, redeeming side of Diana. And some might suggest, of course, at the expense of his stepmother. And that really would mean by whatever reason Harry would not expect to see the king or indeed any senior members at Invictus. This is as I say a developing story in a brand new direction of what I've been told from an exclusive contact that Harry wants to go down. As ever it's developing. New Sha in the very
43 heart of London.
