23:02 ready for this seat belts are on hands and feet inside the uh in the cart okay it says this it says the world is full of soall Prayer Warriors who are prayer ignorant that's that's pretty powerful isn't it I'll say that part again it says the world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer ignorant they're full of formulas and programs and advice pedaling techniques forgetting what you want from God on I thought that was kind of impactful the world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer

23:47 ignorant they're full of formulas programs and advice pedaling techniques for getting what you want from God uh prayer is not about getting what you want on from God because as we heard last night you already have what you want from God in most cases it's a matter of people not understanding and realizing that they already have right what they're trying so hard to get on Amen and I think some of what I want to say today uh and and this is not surprising but I love when it happens uh this is stuff I was meditating on yesterday in the afternoon and then Pastor Nancy just hit so much of it in the evening service well you know there was a time where I would think okay well that you know don't touch that then but sometimes

24:34 God's wanting to emphasize things you know in more than one service I think in Our Last Crusade uh we we both preached on righteousness one service after another no problem there I I preached it first she cleaned it up afterwards and we we're always thankful for that Hallelujah but I'm not cleaning anything up from last night just want you to know that it was CLE it came out clean didn't it come out clean it came out real clean amen and so I'm just T I'm just tagging on a little bit uh praise the Lord you already have what you want from God he's already accomplished he's already accomplished Redemption praise God and because this is a concept that's

25:19 unfamiliar to people because tra see traditional Christianity will get you thinking along certain lines amen um and and you know we don't fault people people when we say when we say things that are corrective we don't mean them critically in the sense of putting somebody down because in most cases people are walking in all the light that they have but like the Lord told uh my spiritual father brother Kenneth Hagen the Lord told him when he was sitting on uh laying rather on the bed of sickness and and he was saying well Lord I I believe all I know and the Lord said yeah you are but there basically if I can say it this way there's you just don't know enough there's more to know how many to know you can know think you know some things and be incorrect about that right and not you don't know it like you

26:05 should know it or you don't know it like it truly is and I'm not suggesting that I know everything and I don't think anybody else ministering uh that ministers here thinks they just know 100% and have full light you know because the things of God are inexhaustible amen there's always more to see you understand that there there's always more light to gain and so we do know in part and we see in part as the Bible says but uh praise God there's some things to understand here about what's already been accomplished what's I said what's already been accomplished and this comes this comes really into the area of prayer because most most uh individuals who practice prayer and that's Christians and non-christians actually

26:51 will sometimes pray you know things get bad enough folk will folk will pray and uh so so um most of the time what they're trying to do is get God to do something or get God to move or we sometimes say we're going to move the hand of God or storm the Gates of Heaven and uh you know that's that's really just kind of traditional thinking that needs to be better aligned with the scriptures when I say the scriptures let me say something about this too you you have your Old Testament scriptures amen that represent uh a former Covenant really more than one uh but we we just call it all collectively we call it the old Covenant amen and then we have our new testament scriptures but really those New Testament scriptures those are

27:36 in more than one section maybe not officially but if we could say it this way uh part of the New Testament what we call the gospels you know they were they were um written to reflect a time before J because they're they the story of Jesus so it's before most of it before Redemption was finished and accomplished right it's it's the it's the lead in to Redemption and it's right it's the story of redemption and that's not to discount it doesn't discounted at all uh every I mean Old Testament is valuable New Testament is valuable every page of it blood was shed for every page of it people were burned at the stake for trying to translate it into the language of the people amen lots of people were put to death to get us this and so we

28:21 value every page of it but really it's the parts uh it's the parts of the scripture that are written to us that give us the most light let me say what I mean explain what I mean when I say written to us there's a couple different groups of people uh that the word of God identifies and believe it or not it's not Democrats and Republicans and independents amen that's not that's not the they you you might you might focus on those groups but that's not the groups that scripture focus on uh the bible really talks about a couple groups made than others one of them is is the Jews the story of of Israel the Old Testament nation of Israel and uh SP spiritual nation and then a physical

29:08 land for a good period of time until they disobeyed God enough and lost lost what they had and uh went into captivity and then it talks about the Gentiles and that really includes every everyone that's not in the other groups those without a covenant right the non non-covenant people and then it talks about a group called The Church yeah yeah the church and uh that's who we are of course you understand that and so I was raised a Jew grew up going to Hebrew school had my bar mitzvah when I was 13 years old and I was on the road to being a good Jew except I wasn't really a good Jew because uh after all that enough was enough after all that Hebrew school because you know your friends are playing basketball and stuff after after school and I'm going to Hebrew school

29:53 three days a week to learn Shay is and all the all the Hebrew stuff and that's about all I remember but it it is Hebrew it means uh it's Deuteronomy 6 hero hero Israel the Lord Our God the Lord is one they call it the shama prayer um it's every Jew knows that even the bad Jews know that and so you know I got saved thank God when I was 18 and uh really what what had just been uh you know there there there was a shadow of of Truth in in Judaism but that that religion and that faith that doesn't impart life to a person yet because it was originally authored by God I mean God will honor

30:39 some things as far as it as far as they go you know I remember this and uh this this was amazing when I was when I was just young maybe maybe 10 we had we didn't want to call it Sunday school because that makes it sound like Christians Christians go to Sunday school so you ready for this this will turn your stomach they called it religious school that's what they called it religious school on Sunday mornings we had to go there and I did not like it and so I would ask for like a bathroom pass to get out you know and I would go and I would sit in the sanctuary I'm talking like 10 11 years old I would sit in the sanctuary and all the lights were out but they always had uh they always had a light because they they called it the Eternal Light to commemorate uh the

31:24 the Feast of Hanukkah where they had where the lights didn't go out different story but anyhow they they always had a light on over what they called The Ark which is where they placed the Scrolls the the Torah Hebrew scrolls and they always they were always dressed with these elaborate coverings real they were very honorable towards the word of God and that would be lit up and I would just sneak into there and I would just sit on the floor in the back and I would sense God wasn't born again but God you know God gave us this word I better get back on track before I just totally forget all I was talking about here so uh I was a Jew amen and so uh that that's one of the peoples people groups in the Bible but when I got saved see people found out that I was a Jew

32:10 who had gotten saved and uh I started to say the Jewish religion didn't impart life to me but Jesus did Jesus did glory to God I haven't been the same since I hadn't gotten over it since come on come on you ever met anybody who got over it got saved and got over it huh we all had we've all met Christians like that they're like yeah yeah it was great you're not supposed to get over it you're not supposed to get over it amen and so uh I got saved and people found out that I was Jewish and particularly one one group I won't mention uh who kind of specialized in evangelizing the Jews and they said you got to join us and they said you got to

32:56 focus on your Judaism and that never sat right with me I didn't know any different I didn't know any better but they said listen man you're you're you're doubly blessed because you have Abraham's blessing as well as being a Christian and you know I didn't join up with that group but I found out yes I do have Abraham's blessing because I'm a Christian yes I'm doubly blessed but not because so when I when I became a Christian when I became part of the church chur and I was no longer listen to me I was no longer part of the group called the Jews just like if you were a non-jew who at some point you got saved huh or need

33:43 to and if that was you you're no longer a gentile that's you're no longer a a person without a covenant if you're in the church that's all you are you're in the church if any man be in Christ he's what used to he's what he used to be and no no no no no old things old things those are passed away and all things are become new we're new creatures in Christ that's who we are and so we have uh we have a section of the Bible that's written specifically to the church to the church

34:28 church and the that part of the Bible of course is the letters not that's not the only part but the letters written to the church letters that Paul wrote I think he wrote 13 uh 13 letters uh to the different churches some of them he founded some of them he didn't found but uh he still wrote to them and then others Peter Jude uh James you know they they wrote these letters to the churches and you know who else guess who else Jesus dictated seven letters did you know that to seven churches he he don't need to be ignoring those do we right no don't need to be ignoring those so this these parts of the scripture that tell that uh were written

35:13 to us they teach us the things we need to know now there's certain things every Christian needs to know every Christian needs to know who their father is they need to you need to know about God yes every Christian also needs to know that they have an enemy you need to know you need to know that you have an enemy you need to know that you're going to be opposed but then this third type of knowledge that every Christian needs to know every Christian needs to know who they are as new creatures in Christ you got to know you got to know something about you yes sir and uh this is where we often fail in the body of Christ is that we focus on everything

35:59 else in the Bible other than what the Bible says to us and teaches us about us who we are what we have what we can do and it's amazing when you find out these things uh all of a sudden your prayer list for yourself gets really small because you find out I'm not trying to get these things things I'm not trying to get my healing I'm not trying to get God to take a liky to me right I'm not trying to get righteous I'm not try we're not trying to get it in so many of these things what things all that Redemption has purchased all

41:25 knowledgeable if you're focusing on uh focusing now don't don't misunderstand me I did not say neglect every part of the scripture except the parts that pertain to the church I didn't say that I didn't say that really what you need to do is be so grounded in the parts that pertain to you that those parts um those parts dictate your understanding of the of the other parts is that a fair way to say it I think there's there's a better word that I'm that I'm I'm struggling for right now the the th here those parts what's written to you informs your reading that's better way informs your reading of the other parts of scripture in other words you read the Old Testament with New Testament

42:13 understanding New Testament understanding and what you'll see is so much uh so much fulfillment so much fulfillment amen amen good word uh in the in the Old Testament prayer is not you know you you hear there are some prayers recorded there's some good prayers recorded amen but that's that's not New Testament prayer you need you need to have New Testament understanding and if I could say this even in the gospels in the gospels uh which are valuable but you need to look at the gospels and let let the revelation of the New Testament letters written to the churches let that en form your

47:38 your life like there was in my life where where you couldn't say that was like oh my God if if only I could pray like they prayed how how do they come how do they come so confidently they must be perfect they must be Flawless they they must never have missed it huh and so wouldn't it be great to be able to at least have the same confidence in prayer that your pastor has do you know that their confidence before God is not a uh is not the result of the office that they stand in do you know that that's right come on it's it's not it's not what they stand in as a minister it's who they are in Christ and uh really you can do better
