0:00 when you want to hear God's voice don't pray like a pagan you're asking him for food and drink and things he said seek first my kingdom and all these things will be added to you if you seek first his kingdom then you're seeking his righteousness and his interest and oh boy the voice of God is going to be loud if you talk to him about what he wants to talk about so in this video I'm going to give you three things to think about to make sure you hear his voice in all your business building [Music] so here's three things for you first one
0:46 don't pray like a pagan right so uh but no for real first one is stop praying for things even if you're asking God make me successful so I could be generous to the poor God make me successful so I can do it you're still off center you're still a little you're a few degrees away from North so you've got to really have time to really seek God's kingdom where everything about your life your schedule it looks like you're a kingdom first person your whole posture your language you don't look like a pagan in scripture there's great Liberty to ask the Lord for anything I realize that but what I'm talking about to help your heart is move the orientation of your heart away from the anxious struggle and yearning for money
1:32 and the priority of seeking personal success in business Life Changes Ecclesiastes teaches time and chance happen to all you can be happy in this life in Jesus with no money and no businesses and actually the scripture teaches that in a famine that means no food shutdown of society the innocent shall have more than enough there is a technology in the Kingdom for you to be perfectly bubbly and content even in the most difficult circumstances so don't seek what is actually not a a kingdom lawful uh situation for yourself to sort of have everything tucked away and calm there is no calm this is a crazy
2:17 adventure you are designed to be dangerous to Satan if you love not your life unto death then you will make Satan very very fearful of you and you will Al align yourself with the purposes of God and his Desires in your prayer life and you will hear his voice very very loudly his voice be very clear to you the king will share his secrets with those who are focused on his interests and on his pleasure so you have to shift the orientation of your prayer to the way Jesus taught you to pray your kingdom come your will be done here on Earth as it is in heaven so that's what I the first shift I want you to make to hear God's voice is the shift in your prayer life here's the second thing I want to talk about Romans 14:7 Paul is teaching the church about

3:51 ability to Lord please provide more food it's perfectly okay there's perfect Liberty for that we've got to realize that really when we mature in the Lord and we seek first his kingdom what's happening is we're forsaking working in our own strength and we're relying on the holy spirit because the kingdom is not about food and drink and those concerns it is about his righteousness his peace and his Joy how in the holy spirit so to hear God's voice we must understand the ministry of the Holy Spirit we've got got a rest from dead Works incessant building of the business dead Works striving by the sweat of our
4:38 brow to make some kind of economic return that's Babylonian dead works but the Holy Spirit the holy spirit is the he brings the kingdom of peace and of joy and his ministry is incredible you will hear the voice of God because he is the one whose Ministry is to guide you into all truth what a Ministry Jesus could have said hey I want you to know lots about me and left it there what amazing things we would get to learn but he didn't he doesn't want you just to know about him he wants you to hear the voice of God he wants you to hear his heart he wants you to hear his goals he wants you to hear his passions and his interests these are the things of coming

6:57 praying in the scripture very much of what we've been talking about this whole video but there is a means where it is very much like coming into the courts of a king if you ever gone to a soda machine and put your dollar bill in or however much money you put in right now uh raise your hand High even if you're on video If you ever done that I can see you raising your hand shame on you you shouldn't eat from soda machines and snacks that aside when you put your money in sometimes you'll notice um I'm sure you've had this the machine doesn't kick out the snack and you're thinking what it's not working like it's should work you put another dollar bill in you select your snack again and it still doesn't come out and you then you put your hands up on the top you start shaking that thing hitting the side of it it's not working and what are you going to do you going to go back to that machine no you're not going back to a
7:44 machine that's broken this is what happens with prayer God's people they don't end up showing up at the prayer Gatherings they they don't come and and and so many of the prayer Gatherings at church are so so small so poorly attended is because it's it's like the elephant in the room it's the thing that nobody really talks about is I tried it and it doesn't work we don't want to say these words in church because it doesn't sound kind but could it be that there's something wrong with God no is there something wrong with you and I no not not really my sheep hear my voice we we're Made In His Image and we're made to hear his voice so what's wrong could it be the means and the way in which we're praying that's the whole point of hearing his voice engage in prayer and
8:29 the way that Jesus teaches prayer remember this kind of prayer like the pagans pray that's that's not it but it's this kind of prayer when you pray pray like this it's the Jesus kind of prayer so back to the king's courtroom there's this ancient Hebrew phrase for prayer uh there's a couple of them and and this one is called palal and the beauty of the Hebrew language is so revealing and instructive for how you can really commune with God really hear his voice and get answers in prayer as well as well and palal in the ancient Hebrew is made up of two pictoral constructs the first in the word palao is a mouth it represents you the one who is speaking and communing with God the
