00 Hey everyone, VH here. Thank you so much for joining me today. Today's video is all about the Primal Grimoire. Since its release in like mid 2025, it's completely overhauled how we level up heroes and how we gain power for our heroes. It's made hero token the treasure series pretty redundant. It's completely nullified the tenant system. And so yeah, we're going to go through it today, explain how you unlock it, how much it costs, what stat buffs it gives, what liberation percentage actually is, and all that good stuff. So if you like today's video, please make sure you subscribe and check out all the other stuff I've got on the channel. So let's jump into it. First and foremost, how do we get there? We click on the little drop down there, and we go here. To unlock it first time, to start upgrading
46 it, you need six E5 heroes. then you can get up to level 50 and then you need to have nine E5 heroes to get it to 75 and then 12 for 100, 15 for 125, 18 for 150. At level 150 is the cap for the first book. There is other books. Currently, there is two books. There will be more in the future depending when you're watching this. So, that's how we unlock it. You get fixed attack here and fixed HP. We're going to show some graphs in a minute in terms of exactly how much fixed attack you end up getting. uh but yours will look different to mine even if we're on exactly the same level. And that's because of the liberation percentage. It's just a fancy word for saying how much percentage of the overall attack you actually end up getting. So for instance, if I had 10%
31 liberation percentage and you had 100%, you would have 10 times more power than I would through the grimoire, but it does cap out. So to find out how you're getting liberation percentage, we click on it and it will show us. Liberation percentage takes into account your six highest level heroes. So that gives you a score up to 744. You then also get extra uh liberation percentage from your temple level, your destiny temple level, and your upgraded star cells per level. It does explain it here exactly how it works. Again, we've got more graphs to show you. A couple of little quick tips. Most people, unless you're an old head free-to-play account, you don't naturally get this many E5s.
16 It's not really how your account works. And I'll show you an example of that. So, we'll look at my hero bag. Uh I between where we are now and the Chinese New Year event, I am going to end up maxing out my Grimoire, which means I needed 18 E5 heroes. I didn't have 18 E5 heroes, so I've ended up stripping back Elena to E5, and I've ended up stripping back Medline to E5. And then I've used those food and resources to build up loads more E5s. You can do that. That's not a problem. And then once we regress these other heroes to build back up my Elena and my Madline, I will still get the Grimoire boost. You can't actually go back into the book once you fall below the E5 threshold, but you still get the buff. So, a lot of players end up doing that. Just bear in mind, every
04 time you regress a transcendence hero, it's costing you 10 soul symbols. And every time you regress a normal one, it's five. Don't just work out how many soul symbols you need to regress your big heroes to make the little ones. You've also then got to bear in mind you're going to have to regress these back again to build your main heroes back up. But yeah, that's the basics of it. Let's jump into some figures. The grimoire is really expensive to level up. It's expensive because the grimar essence is a hard material to get hold of and it scales up as you go through to how much you actually need. So this graph here just shows you exactly how much you need, how much attack you're getting, how many material picks it is, and the total percentage of the spent grimar essence to get to max.
49 So to go from level zero to 25, you need 4 million grimar essence. to go from 25 to 50, 1.55. You add that together, 1.95, and it goes all the way down to a total spend of 32.88 million grimar essence. In terms of attack, from 0 to 25, you get 3.55 million attack. From 25 to 50, you get 6 million. Add it together, 9.5 million attack. From 0 to 50, and it goes and scales up all the way to 60 million fixed attack. The selection chests. The selection chests that you get from mysterious elves and other events don't normally just contain grimar essence. They also include infusion stones, the sigil upgrade stuff, as well as primal
35 grimar book two materials. We're not going to worry about them right now. We're not going to tell you what to pick. But if you just picked grimar essence, this is the percentage of chests that you need. So from 0 to 25.28 chests, from 25 to 51.1 chests, and it goes all the way down, and it's a total of 23.4 45 grim chests. In terms of percentage of total grim or essence used per stage, 1.21 to start, then 4.71 from 25 to 50. So 6% for the first 50 levels, and it goes up obviously. It finishes at [laughter] 100. Uh so yeah, it gets expensive as you go up. We're going to show now there's a couple of different graphs I've made. Um I tried to put the curve in. I couldn't get it go right annoyingly. Uh but yeah, so on this is
22 here these are plotted. So level 25, level 50, level 75, level 100, level 125, level 150. And this is your total amount of grimar essence needed um as a percentage of level 150 and the total percentage of attack again based off of level 150. So you see at the start you get about five times attack worth compared to grimmire essence and then you get about two times attack compared to millions of essence and then it goes to 75 and then it's about equal and then you end up spending more grimmire essence for more attack etc. Something to note is that it's about 50/50 in terms of uh level once you get to level 100 compared to level 150 for attack. So that that second half, that second third
09 rather um of levels gets you about 50% of your attack. The first 100 levels get your first 50% attack and it's about 66% of total grimar essence for the final 50 levels compared to uh 33% for the first 100 levels. So yes, it scales up. It becomes about twice as expensive. It's not as bad as some people will have you believe, but obviously what you wanted to spend comparatively, whether you wanted to go grimar essence or infusion stones is up to you. It's just this is just a graph blowing it individually. I wanted to see if it looked any different. Um, but yeah, so that's the that's the costs of it. In terms of resonance, resonance is really important and people don't seem to grasp it. I've seen some people recently, quite a few people say, "I'm not getting the full amount of the attack." And it's like, "Oh, you're not going to. 100% you're
56 not going to." If you just base it off of your heroes, only six are counted towards resonance and your liberation percentage. The maximum resonance you can get per hero is 744. When you do your quick maths, you will figure out that that means with six absolutely max level heroes, you can only get 37.2% liberation percentage. The rest of it comes from your Destiny temple levels and it comes from star soul upgrades. If you're not at star cell upgrades, obviously irrelevant. And if you're very low destiny level because you've only got a couple of heroes, again, it's going to be almost an irrelevant amount of resonance. Uh, but this is just to show you what the bulk of players, the people that are getting more confused. Uh, just to show you exactly how it works. So, here's the resonance gained.
43 Here is the total percentage of one hero. So, for instance, if you get them 10 star, the maximum resonance is 30 and that is 4% of 744. If you get into E5, it's 168. That's 22% of 744. Example. The one thing to really note, I've seen a couple of people recommend doing X levels. Don't do that. You get like 12 extra resonance points, which is 1.7% of the hero's total resonance, and it's literally.1% of the total Grimmooire uh percentage. It's just not worth doing for 9.5 billion spiritual essence and however much gold for the stat boosts you end up getting. That is a real minmaxing thing at like end game, late game. If you're the type of person that's watching this
28 video cuz you're confused about liberation percentage, that's not going to impact you whatsoever. Don't spend all your resources on X levels. It's absolutely not worth it whatsoever. So, there we are. We're all done. I hope you enjoyed the video. I hope it sheds some light on some things you maybe weren't understanding. If you've got any queries, obviously drop them down below. I really appreciate you uh watching and listening. And if you wouldn't mind, please subscribing, you'd be greatly appreciated. Make sure you stay safe. VHL.
